Roza Lyons on East Broadway is a charming, antique-chic neighborhood pub where you can sip craft beer and dig into delicious shared plates amid vibrant decor and a welcoming atmosphere.
"Yes, we know that Bar Lyon opened in September 2018. And yes, we understand the concept of linear time. But since we didn’t exist when this French bistro in the South End opened its doors, we figured it was only right to include our favorite new restaurant of late 2018 here. This place is so good that the best burger in Boston, almost gets lost among all of the other rich, delicious food. If you’ve been looking for a little French bistro in your life, a place to keep coming back to until the staff knows your name and starts pouring your go-to white as soon as you walk in, make it Bar Lyon." - dan secatore
"Roza Lyons on East Broadway has the feel of an Irish pub, with regulars crowding into a homey space to drink first and snack on bar food second. But it replaces the shamrocks and IRA murals for hanging plants, strings of Christmas lights, and an indoor trellis that makes the place look like a bar you’d consider building in your basement for a few minutes before remembering that you’d have nowhere else to store the gym equipment that you’re definitely going to start using again someday. There’s nothing special about the menu, which covers everything from buffalo chicken empanadas to fettuccine bolognese, but it’s a great place to grab drinks with friends for a few hours." - dan secatore
"Roza Lyons is a nice little neighborhood pub on East Broadway in Southie. It’s the type of place that has enough regulars to merit a wall of pictures by the bathroom of people wearing Roza Lyons t-shirts on the Great Wall of China. They’re very proud of their self-described farm-to-table menu, but it’s really just a standard bar food place, so come here to drink first and to eat second." - Dan Secatore
