Rozzi Pizza

Although I did not think it was life-changing, and pizza today is very expensive, however it was really good. We got a half and half pizza with two different styles. $37 with a bottle of water. One thing that's missing is heat lamps. It's a shared kitchen which is fine it's a small business and it's great to support that. Limited seating in front and consider takeout.

Although the straightforward set up made it easy to order, everything on the menu looked too good to decide! Ordered the Rozzi, Hey Papo, West Side, and Queen’s Pie slices. All easily the best slices of pizzas we’ve had in a while. Don’t sleep on the simplicity of the Rozzi, btw. The owner was extremely kind and you can tell he’s very excited about this spot he’s created! We’ll definitely be back for more.

This is honestly some of the best New York pizza I’ve had in a long time (outside of New York). The crust is crispy and the sauce is spicy. I got a slice of pepperoni and it was as good or better than many of the slices I’ve had in New York. Service was easy and fast. The only challenge with this place is finding parking on a busy night. Recommend.

Delicious and bountiful pie! Rozzi was friendly and helpful when I arrived, and accommodated a special request which I appreciated. I took my pizza to go, and while eating there would be fine, it’s a fairly bare bones patio. The pizza felt weighty and toppings were plentiful. Flavor was delicious, crust was thin but it wasn’t a delicate pizza. I’m not a New Yorker but think it seemed like a fairly authentic NY pizza. Give it a try!

Great pizza! It was loaded with toppings and the owner is super personable. Most legitimate nyc pizza I have had on the west coast. Great place for a single slice or a pie.

First off, the pizza is great. I'd say the best in Santa Barbara (and I really like pizza so I've tried most of it). We're lucky to have it and I fully expect their operation to grow. Second, the service is really above and beyond. I had a minor issue with one of my orders and got a personal call from the owner to make sure I was taken care of which was really appreciated. Anyway, the pizza is great and they have delivery now too so you have no excuse!

This is the place you've been looking for!! The pizza has that perfect crispy chewy crust. I could actually taste the tomato sauce on the pizza and the crispy edge pepperonis were to die for! You can actually fold the pizza to eat and it was the PERFECT road trip Pizza for PCH!

As a New Yorker, this was the best pizza slice I’ve had in California. The guy was super chill and authentic, also a native New Yorker, who’s goal is bring NY pizza culture (“by the slice”) to CA. Delicious pizza, highly recommend stopping here.

My friend and I were visiting SB on a girls weekend and our last night of the trip we were feeling like staying in so we decided to just bring some pizza back to the hotel. Looking around the area there was no question which pizza place we wanted to go to, Rozzi's looked by far superior than the other options in the area. When we got there to order, we were greeted by the owner himself, a charming New Yorker who made us laugh the second we were in the door. He explained to us that it had been a very busy Sunday for them and they had just about sold out of all the pizza! All that was left were a few slices of cheese and mushroom. That sounded good to us and we were happy to take hot slices they had left. Little did we know, the owner would insist we take them for free. The pizza was authentic New York style, and we were very happy with our choice. Will be back to Rozzi's on our next trip to SB!

Absolutely loving this new spot offering New York Style Pizza Pies, and also by the slice. David and his staff take very good care of us as we order at the menu kiosk, and then have a comfy seat in their outdoor patio space. They really are perfect for a delicious lunch-time slice, with our favorites being the West Side, Manhattan, and the Flatiron. And then don't forget a sweet dessert of Big Chocolate Chip Cookies, and/or Soft Serve. Thanks David for sharing your Pumpkin Spice and Cheesecake flavor with us. Creamy and delicious. This hot-spot is located on West Montecito Street, nestled right there between Seven Bar, Rodeo Room, and The Brewhouse. Street parking is pretty easy too.

Amazing pizza! The owner was there when we ordered and he is very nice. I like to see business owners actually at their business! Would highly recommend and I will be going back!

Quirky and offbeat location. Urban feeling and a little gritty. But this tiny spot is super new and very fresh. Outdoor seating possible for 1-2 groups and some other seats for a few. Or take to- go. No cash. No waiters. The enticing 7Bar is next door. All the pizzas sounded so good and, yay!, all available as slices. $5-$7. That is super cool and special. Tough to choose....there is the "Rozzi" with spicy vodka sauce- so unique and tempting-, but I went for "White Street" and added hot honey. Love that they offer that. Yum. Boo boo bummer though! My slice was underwhelming, dry, and not tasty. Not what I was expecting. It looked so pretty, but was simply tough to even eat. Not craveworthy. Love all the pizza topping combinations and possibilities, so, huh, hmmm, might be worth another try?

Santa Barbara has a new pizza gem and it's Rozzi's! As a big fan of New York-style pizza, I was thrilled to find a spot that nails the thin, foldable crust and bold, classic flavors--but Rozzi's goes above and beyond. Not only do they serve up the NY staples we all know and love, but their creative flavor combos are also worth exploring (seriously, don't sleep on the specialty pies!). The space is small and cozy, with just enough outdoor seating, you can even enjoy it next door at 7bar. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel welcome--the owner greets you like family, and you can tell he truly pours his heart into every pie. That passion is present in every bite. Bonus points for the chocolate chip cookies! Perfectly chewy and just the right amount of sweet. I love that you have the option of grabbing a whole pie or a slice at a time! We can't wait to come back for more!

Definitely NY style deliciousness. Whom seemed like the owner was friendly like he knew me from before. I'd say when in SB and want pizza this is the place.

Pizza!". This Pizza Shop has been a lifelong dream having grown up in NYC. David Rozzi Rosner knows Pizza! I ventured to Rozzi Pizza a short walk from my place. This is a 4pm to SOLD out Pizza shop. I was greeted by David and a line out the door l. The word got out quick thanks to Josh Molina and his NewsHawk article . This shop is all about the Pizza . It's sandwiched between Rodeo Room and Restaurant 7. There's tables and chairs on the patio that can be shared with family and friends. People waiting for their orders chatted, I felt a sense of community. That was a pleasant. Thanks Rozzi Pizza and David welcome to the neighborhood. Ronnie S

We've been to Rozzi's a couple times and honestly, they are the BEST pizza in town bar none! We get the Manhattan and from their crispy thin crust that's still wonderfully foldable, to their use of their own fresh tasting homemade sauce, best sausage, and the full flavored mozzarella to the added touches of fresh basil and fennel seed, every bite is a piece of pie heaven! But probably what makes the pizza above all others is the owner: You will not find a kinder, more down to earth genuine guy than David Rosner and it shows in his love for his craft.

Authentic New York Pizza in Santa Barbara. Tried the Hey Papo, Flat Iron and the Park Ave slices. They were all delicious!

Easy to order, friendly and welcoming staff, chill ambiance. Pizza: beautiful presentation. Crunchy crust, quality ingredients mildly spicy pepperoni. Delicious

Nice welcome and very personable service. The slices were very good. Love thin crust that doesn't flop and is evenly crisp and well seasoned. We tried a few different slices and enjoyed both. Recommend this for a nice slice on an evening stroll.

Was excited to hear a real NY style pizza place was opening in town, grabbed a pizza to go and it did not disappoint! I also appreciate that they are keeping the prices reasonable! Great crust & great option to feed a hungry crowd!

As a New Yorker, I approve. The R train symbol makes me miss home, but then I realize it's cold there right now and sometimes the R train goes local and it takes forever to get where you need to go. But you need to get your pizza from here. My two favorites are the pepperoni and the Rozzi (even better with pepperoni!)

Great pizza! First time here and we ordered the Rozzi to go. One pizza is plenty for two meals for us. It was yummy!!! Fast and friendly service too! We will be back!

We ordered four pizzas to carry out. I have to admit that my car became a hostage behind a locked gate just across from the establishment. So whatever you do, don't park in the wrong spot! There were a couple of tables outside, which seemed better than maybe being inside. Not even sure they had seating inside, come to think of it. The pizzas were definitely good and we ordered enough to have some for lunch the next day. One of them (and I don't remember which one) but definitely one of them had a very tough crust. The kind that made your jaw hurt. And it did not get better with time. But the toppings were good (especially the pepperoni) and you could tell they're still working out the kinks in the kitchen. Will give it some time and try again! And park in the right spot this time.

Went here opening day with high expectations. My wife being from New York, we are always looking for the real deal. Rozzi is basically a window at the front of the kitchen in between Rodeo Room and Bar Seven. I have a feeling Rozzi Pizza is associated with one or both bars, but when I asked the guy that appeared to be the owner of the Rodeo Room, he wouldn't elaborate. There is some seating outside on the street and not sure if they will allow you to take pizza into the bar(s) in the future. There was a decent line and most of the ordering is done at a small kiosk by the front door, but the super nice gentleman making the pies (Rozzi?) was taking orders at the counter while making the pizzas. Given so much staff around, didn't seem very efficient. Nice selection of NY themed 18" pizzas and pizza by the slice(!) No option to split pizza 50/50 on the kiosk, but you could do so if you ordered at the counter. Online ordering I heard will come later. Pizza was ready in ~30min, which wasn't bad considering the activity. I grabbed a cocktail next door while I waited and was told (by the same owner guy?) I could not bring it to Rozzi while I waited - an FYI. Most importantly, the pizza: my wife an I split a pepperoni pie. Most everything was spot on and we were very pleased! Fresh, simple sauce, the right amounts of quality cheese and pepperoni such that all was balanced. Crust was wonderfully crisp, chewy and yeasty, however, it needed to be about half the thickness. It had a really nice body that would hold up to being thinner, but because it was on the thicker side, was a bit overly chewy for our taste and actually difficult, if not impossible to fold. I understand restaurant opening growing pains and will no doubt return, but do thin that crust before I do, please!

Let me start this by saying I really really wanted to love this place, but it did fall short for me. I went on opening night and ordered a simple pepperoni pie. Since it was opening night it took 50 minutes to get the pizza. But since it was their first night I was not bothered by the wait and it was somewhat expected. I went back a few weeks later and got the Manhattan and the wait was 25 minutes, so it seems like they have normalized their operations. I have spent a fair amount of time in NYC in a past life and I love a good slice, and this was close, but not quite there. The crust felt thicker and much chewier than it should be with no flop at all. I liked the flavor of the sauce and the cheese seems on point, but my daughter felt like they skimped on the toppings on the Manhattan. You order at a tablet on the wall, which I personally like. As far as the parking goes I am fine with that also as it goes with the area. While $28-$30 for a pizza might seem high for some cities, for SB it is pretty standard pricing so no complaint there. As a side note the full pies are huge, so that is a positive. While SB is not a huge pizza town, there are enough decent options and Rozzi's falls down the line-up for me. I will probably try it again in few months to see if they have improved on the crust and toppings. I have seen similar comments in other reviews so I hope they take the feedback to heart as I would love to get a good NYC style slice in SB.

As a part time New Yorker, I'm skeptical of anything west of the Hudson claiming "New York-style pizza." But this place? Fuggedaboutit. The crust has the perfect sidewalk-fold, the sauce....A perfect tang, and the cheese stretches like it's auditioning for Broadway. One bite and I was instantly transported to 31st & 8th in Manhattan--(minus the honking taxis and questionable subway smells). Santa Barbara, we finally have a real deal NY slice shop.... Can't wait to go back! Mangia!

Was hoping for a true New York slice, but left pretty disappointed. The pizza didn't have that classic bend or flop--it was stiff and the crust lacked any real character. The sauce was watery and flavorless, leaving the whole slice flat and forgettable. Prices don't match the quality, and parking's a headache. They ask for a tip at the do it yourself iPad ordering, there's no real service, and the limited outdoor seating makes it clear they expect you to take your food elsewhere. All in all, not worth the money, time, or hassle. I won't be going back.

Amazing NY style pizza in a great location. Ordering is easy and staff is very helpful. Love the patio outside. I also like being able to order and then get it delivered to seven bar next door. Great addition to Santa Barbara

I have been wanting to try Rozzi's since their write up in the Independent. It did not disappoint! The pizza is absolutely amazing. The owner is so friendly. He made me feel like I was a regular customer. I am now! A must if you are craving pizza.

Decided to go to ROzzie pizza this afternoon and try a real NY style pizza... Was not disappointed!! The best pizza I have ever had!! The owner was so wonderful and cooked 2 different pizza's for use... Absolutely amazing... will be coming back for sure!!

Great pie. Had a nice conversation with the owner and you can tell he loves his craft and it shows in the product. Reasonable prices and I'm looking forward to going back and trying some different styles. Love that they've found a cool spot close to the beach and it's a lively neighborhood.

So good! So good! You can feel the love and passion put into this pizza. Excellent service, yummy pizza. Fills a need that SB has had for a while. Go wine tasting in the funk zone and stop here for a slice afterwards. You won't regret it.

This place feels like a true East Coast slice house. Rozzi greeted my wife and me at the door and made us feel instantly welcome -- a warm, personal touch you don't always find. The slices are cooked to perfection: cheese melted to golden bliss with a crisp undercarriage. We tried the Cheese, Pepperoni, White Slice, and West Side. The West Side was my personal favorite, but honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. Looking forward to coming back soon

This is a great place. I went in solo and had two excellent slices. They had great flavor ratios and perfect crust that didn't flop. I will for sure be back to taste more of their specialty slices.

Rossi pizza to me is not NYC style. Crust is too think and sauce lacks seasoning. I ate NYC pizza for over 20 yrs and Rozzi is not for me. Sorry, was hoping it would take me back to NYC, unfortunately I was severely disappointed. Bettina is my favorite in this area.

We came in an hour early not realizing it wasn't open yet. He refused to turn us away with empty stomachs regardless! The West Side is even better than it looks... Honestly neck and neck with Lucky penny which IMO is the best in SB. 11/10 Small biz!!!

I am used to going to mesa pizza, so my pizza standard is very high. With mesa pizza in town I just can't see myself going to Rozzi again.

Good New-York-style pizza. Good flavor, but the crust was a bit too thin. That makes it too crispy. Good crust needs a bit of "chew" to it.

My best Togo experience I've ever had I'm taking a very long Amtrak trip and the food on the train is not enjoyable at all I had a 10 minute break and ran down the street to rozzis I received amazing customer service, very fast service, and amazing food. Rozzi is so nice and has amazing pizza options I've never even heard of like pizza with hot honey and more it was delicious and the service was amazing they even took the dedication to write a nice note on the box still getting me out in a timely manner so the train didn't leave without me the attention to detail is like no other here. If you don't check them out you are missing out

So let's start with the fact that this pizza place keeps it perfectly simple. All there is to order is pizza. Really incredible pizza I may add. On the Dave Portnoy aka Stool President scale this would be an 8.1. It had no flop, great under carriage, good crisp and a slightly tangy red sauce. The owner is cooking the pizzas and chatting you up while you wait. Best pizza in SB hands down.

I'm a local, and frankly we're kind of spoiled for choice lately with pizza. It feels like just a few years ago (okay, maybe 15), there was one good pizza place in SB. I won't ding our local chain, but ... yeah. So I went to Rozzi tonight thinking, 'Well, I'll give the new place a try one time. I don't NEED it or anything." Reader, I needed it. I got a plain cheese pizza. Nothing fancy. Just checking the place out. AMAZING. So good. Perfect. No notes. This what pizza wants to be when it grows up. And it's possible that I accidentally fell tonsils-first onto a slice of the Rozzi, which is their version of margherita, except with a chunky vodka sauce. Good lord. Impeccable. Fast and friendly, too, but who cares? Such a good pizza. I will be getting substantially fatter.

Such an amazing addition to the West Side area! Rozzi pizza is a must! The West Side is absolutely delicious. Super cute front patio, perfect for summer! Pizza is perfectly crispy, and the salad was wonderful!

Rozzi Pizza is incredible! We just went for our second time yesterday, sat outside and ate the best pizza pie ever! The crust is perfect crispy outside, foldable, the sauce is amazing, toppings are so fresh. First time we had slices, this time went back for the whole pie. Straight out of the box is best, but leftovers were really good too. And David is personable, friendly, couldn't be a finer host! Menu seems to switch up, offering something different to try the two times we were there. But you can also build your own pie. We're fans and will be back as often as we can!

Nice little hole in the wall pizza joint like the ones I spent time in on the east coast. Not much outdoor seating, but there's not much space to work with. Ordering is pretty easy (ipad in front), and prep time is relatively quick. Rozzi is a great guy. I can tell he aims to please, and his business is obviously his heart. The pizza is very tasty. The star of the show is the dough--which is complex and yeasty--made from a biga base (for those of you who speak the language of pizza) and clearly fermented for the appropriate duration. Compared to other pies available in SB, this dough is closest to the low hydration recipes you'd find in NY. The sauce is tangy and straightforward. Toppings are very high quality. The combinations are inspired. I believe Rozzi has found his lane here in SB, and I will be coming to his place whenever I'm looking for a nice slice, or a really big pie.

Pizza was perfectly crunchy, cheesy, and delightful. Will absolutely come back! They also have a vegetarian options. Service was excellent.

Freaking delicious. But besides the actual pizza, I witnessed the staff questioning another patron to make sure he made their pizza exactly as they wanted. another staff member chatted with my 80 yr old mom as we waited to order. Just a lovely experience.

Ive lived in Santa Barbara Most of my life, Been to italy many time s And all over the united states including new york. Boston ect. Ive eaten many pizzas. I just had to say Rozzi Pizza was just another over priced pizza , I think the product is sparse ingredients small quarter slices of pepperoni ect. The crust was hard as a rock,, And the workers & owner had a weird attitude.. It's just another over priced tourist spot hyping new York pizza, I will go back to my other local pizza places anytime like rustys ect.

If you want real New York pizza, with the feel of a NY pizzeria, you have to check out Rozzi Pizza! SO good, authentic, and great people! I've been looking for a true NY slice since I've moved out here , and Rozzi is the real deal!

First time and oh WOW! The flavors were outstanding and not over sauced. I will be a regular for sure. Giant Pizza for one but I thought just do it! I will freeze portions out and reheat in my air fryer. The sausage he uses is excellent. Rozzi is a hell of a nice guy. Support his new place, you won't be disappointed!!!!!!!
