I ordered for delivery via DoorDash. The food here is always good. I ordered the 3 burrito combo with chicken, requested rice to be added to them, and an extra side of rice. The tortillas were handmade and tasted amazing. The chicken was seasoned and cooked well. The portion of each individual burrito is filling and can be shared or saved for later. I just wish there was an option to add veggies and crema to the burritos or at least on the side. The rice was also really good. I love that they added veggies to it, and they were cooked perfectly. Everything tasted like it was fresh and homemade. Overall, I would definitely recommend and order again.

As someone who loves exploring local taco spots and sharing honest food reviews, I had high hopes for Rudy's Kitchen in Frisco! Unfortunately, this visit didn't meet expectations. I ordered the steak tacos and was immediately let down by the quality. The corn tortillas didn't taste fresh, and the steak itself lacked flavor and freshness. For $11, I received four very small tacos! That’s a fair price if the food had delivered, but sadly, it didn't. AT ALL. Another downside was the service. When I asked about the menu (which isn't in English), the responses I received from the young lady were short and not particularly helpful. There wasn't much effort made to make the experience welcoming or easy to navigate. I also found it odd that chicken wasn't available as a taco option… only in burritos. All in all, this spot just didn't do it for me. Between the underwhelming food, poor service, and lack of menu clarity, I won't be returning. There are too many great taco places out there to settle for one that doesn't seem to care about the customer experience.

Get ready for this one. In my opinion, you know it’s a good authentic street taco spot/ Mexican street food when it’s hole in the wall vibes! This place is located inside a Chevron gas station! Was kind of skeptical at first because the options were nothing I’ve seen before but then again I haven’t been to enough to know. Anyways, order some street tacos and a chicharron platter. The tacos come garnished, just fyi. So if you don’t want like cilantro ir onion, let them know. It was all sooooo delicious. I would definitely come back for more. For service, you order and pay up front and they bring it out to you. For the price, it’s actually affordable for a large portion. Definitely check this place out. Till then, let’s eat!!!!

The best Mexican food is in Frisco. The staff is super friendly. You can take out or dine in. It's not your typical restaurant; it's more of the Mexican way of eating.

Stopped here quickly for breakfast after an event at Frisco Commons. I ordered breakfast tacos—one with egg, potato, and cheese, and another with pollo. The tacos were delicious and quite filling. Note that they charge extra for cheese.

Google
They are indeed located EXACTLY at the address stated. It’s a shame someone would leave a one star review for a small business just because they don’t understand the concept of a business operating out of another business. You’d think someone that was an Owner and Massage Therapist at Massage Artz, which Operates out of The Oasis Massage Room would understand the exact concept of this. Rudy’s Kitchen is phenomenal. We moved to Frisco from Chicago about a year and a half ago and so far have been pretty disappointed with the food in the DFW area. Rudy’s is one of the few places that delivers authentic flavors and amazing food. Since we found out about this place, we have been here at least once a week. If you have GPS and two brain cells to rub together and are lucky enough to find this place, you cannot go wrong with the barbacoa tacos, they are incredible. 🔥

Google
The taco plate here was excellent! It definitely rates high on the many different tacos I’ve tried. The staff here is also very friendly and helpful when you are trying to choose your tacos. I liked that there were about 3 or 4 tables to sit on as well. Since Rudy’s is located in a convenience store, you have your choice of most any kind of drink to purchase as well. All in all this was a great taco experience and very convenient.

Google
This place used to be great but lately the customer service is getting bad. Prices are too high for mexican food. Like for real it's a taco, nothing fancy but the prices are like almost $5 for one item like gorditas. Also the Chubby lady at counter was not nice, can't see her face if she is smiling or not because she might be sick wearing a mask still. She seems not happy to be there. I hope the owner makes this place cleaner, it used to be clean. If you're going to work with restaurant and customers then make them happy. I will come back in a few months to try again see if anything gets better.

Yelp
Perfect gas station taco joint. We ordered a few tacos to go over the last couple of years and have to say they have always been amazing. We have made this place somewhere where we take guests from out of town to give them a real experience.

Yelp
As pointed out this place is inside a gas station. They have some table and the food is amazing . I had a few different tocos, all were some of the best tocos I have had. I definitely come back.

Yelp
Stopped by Rudys this morning g to get a breakfast taco. I have eaten at Rudy's many times and it has always been ok. Unfortunately today the chorizo and egg taco was inedible. It was literally a greasy pile of I do t know what. Ad a purebred Mexican, I have tasted many different flavors of chorizo tacos, but this one I couldn't even get one bite down. On top of it this joker cost $5 for a chorizo taco. If you are going to charge that much, please take pride in your product. Sad

Yelp
The food is fire here, the the Azada tacos are really good, and the flour quesadilla is great! The employees are nice and kind while taking your order. The ambient is clean, and the customers are kind. #Yummy #Delicious #MexicanFood #TacoTime #QuesadillaLove

Yelp
BREAKFAST TACOS REVIEW ONLY. Food: These tacos are filling. I got two and honestly I could've gotten away with just one. Two reasons why I'm not leaving a five star: lack of breakfast tacos choices & there's not any depth to flavor or texture - it's just a basic good breakfast taco. I really did like the tortilla though. Service: Quick & friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Tacos were alright for the price the chicken taco was super dry, Carne asada was actually pretty good, The Cabeza was tender but needed a bit more seasoning, the chicharon wasn't really my style but I still thought it was okay, and the pastor was aight. Biggest thing is I got charged for more than what the website and the menu stated, so it knocks them down another star.

Chirantan M.

Yelp
We went here for lunch on a friday and found that despite being in the heart of downtown frisco & near a number of other places to eat, there were very few places to sit and it was inside a convenience store. The ambience was absolutely run-down and with the lack of enough parking (we got lucky and found one parking just as someone was leaving), it just made it infeasible for us to dine it. My rating : for Dine in its a non starter (1/5) due to it being more like a mino=i food court on a convenience store For food: I do not know ... we did not have our food here.

Zach B.

Yelp
Best Al Pastor tacos i've had at a hole in the wall spot in the area by far the marinade shines. Quick service for such a limited staff, definitely a place worth checking out if you're into getting damn near authentic street tacos.
google avatar

Mashi M.

Yelp
Humble tacos from humble folk. Ingredients were fresh, tacos were hot and delicious, authentic. Great service and friendly faces. We had pollo, birria, and an elote cup (esquites). The pollo had a good kick and the birria was tender and juicy. The elote was interesting with a good spicy cheesy flavor. It is inside a Chevron but don't be discouraged by appearances. It was great value for good food!

Yelp
Gas station taquerias for the win. Tucked in the back of the chevron gas station is Rudy's kitchen. A taco spot with the best gorditas I've had. Very authentic flavors and made fresh to order. I didn't even need salsa, just a squeeze of lime and the seasoning was perfect in the al pastor gordita. They were out of a couple items so bummed about that but overall a good experience. There is also some seating, as well.
google avatar

Darrell R.

Yelp
Some of the best gorditas and tacos I've EVER eaten. This is a hidden gem! Definitely will be coming back often
google avatar

Jaime M.

Yelp
Fast! Friendly! Delicious! Gas station gorditas here are . Handmade made to order. Pastor, Carnitas, Barbacoa, Chicharon are my fav proteins here. Don't sleep on cactus and cheese as a nice vegetarian alternative.
google avatar

Vic M.

Yelp
I ordered the gordita platter which comes with rice and beans. The gorditas were incredibly greasy and they were blandly seasoned. There was nothing special about the rice and beans. The salsas were okay. After draining the gorditas, I had to use several more paper towels to absorb some of the remaining grease. It is hard to find good authentic Mexican food in Frisco, TX.!
google avatar

Jeremy R.

Yelp
You can't beat these gas station tacos. Legit tacos, menudo, pozole, gorditas. They cater too.
google avatar

Albert T.

Yelp
Best tacos around, maybe in the entire DFW metroplex. They even make their own tortillas. Super affordable. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. Sooooooooo goooooooddd
google avatar

Danny D.

Yelp
This is the best Mexican food in Frisco. The owner Rudy is one of the nicest, most humble, genuine dudes I have ever met in my life!!! Love this place. Plenty of seating including tables & booths inside a Chevron Gas Station.
google avatar

Kim W.

Yelp
The Mexican food here is authentic, served hot, and oh, so good!! Excellent salsa, fresh ingredients, and did I say, authentic? It is a tiny little place inside a convenience store, but clean and bright with tables to sit at. This is the place to go for the flavorful food, not so much for atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff. If you're looking for that street taco or chile verde you remember, you'll find those here. Enjoy!
google avatar

Patricia O.

Yelp
The best tacos in Frisco!!! Extremely fresh and yummy. I tried the pastor, carne asada and chicken taco. The pastor and carne asada were a 20/10! The chicken taco was a 7/10 but I personally feel like chicken tacos wherever you go are gonna be mid. The service was fast!
google avatar

Tommy N.

Yelp
I'm originally from Chicago then AZ the El Paso so I know what good menudo is! Aside that there isn't any homely this is as close to a great Menudo there is at this time. I've tried their other items on the menu, but what brings me back is always the Menudo!
google avatar

S L.

Yelp
It's inside Beverage World gas station in the back. The employees are friendly, but that's pretty much the only good thing I have to say. There isn't much air inside so it's very warm in there. The menu written outside was outdated and so we had to ask if certain things were available. The elotes were unlike any I've ever seen and I've had plenty of authentic Mexican elotes. It was just doused in the red hot sauce. The carne asada tacos were SO DRY. Usually I'm not one to drink much liquids with my food, but I drank an entire bottle of soda to get down 2.5 tacos. It was painful. The flavor wasn't good and it just wasn't worth the calories. I'm still hungry.
google avatar

Yelp
Finally a Mexican place that reminds me of California! Phenomenal food! Be prepared to eat inside of a liquor store, but you will not be disappointed with their tacos, torta, or birria!
google avatar

Jerrica R.

Yelp
This place is inside of the Chevron gas station. It's a lovely little hole in the wall (my favorite) in the back with some table and chairs. They do have someone who speaks English, but most speak Spanish. Be patient, it's so worth it. They do take cash, credit and debit. They have someone making FRESH tortillas. Not reheated store bought! And we got a few breakfast tacos. Pollo, chicharron, and beans. They were all on point and really freaking filling. The chicken/Pollo tacos reminded me of my grandma's recipe. Which is kinda hard cause everyone makes their own recipe with a twist. The chicharron tacos were my favorite. Flavor was umami. (Really effing delicious) So you come in, you order, grab drinks from the gas station and wait for the food, which comes out quick and then sit or leave and enjoy. One of those places you wished you had a bigger stomach for cause you can't stop eating.
google avatar

Keith D.

Yelp
Authentic, flavorful, fresh, lots of bang for your buck and friendly, efficient staff. This is a stand inside a gas station convenience store, but worth the wait in line.
google avatar

Jeff A.

Yelp
Nice little taco spot with lots of menu choices. I was completely satisfied. I had 4 tacos Al pastor, cabeza, chicharron, and Asada. They were all really good. Love the salsa both green and red. I would say the red salsa is my favorite. This is not for the Karen's or Karen's husband that doesn't understand that not all Mexican food is TX Mex.
google avatar

Prashanth N.

Yelp
This is very good taco spot. Quick, cheap, delicious and inside a gas station. Will definitely go there again..

Yelp
I have been to Rudy's kitchen three times this week!! Mostly because I have a lot of down time in the morning and Rudy's has great breakfast tacos at affordable prices!! Rudy's is located in the corner of a chevron gas station. There's very limited parking and seating but don't let that deter you from dining in. Most of the customers take their meal to go but there is a table that can fit up to a group of 8. They have a daily rotating menu. Don't hesitate to ask them any questions. Rudy and his staff are extremely friendly! M/W/F they have chorizo/egg and chorizo/bean breakfast tacos. Their tacos are a little larger than I expected. They handmake the flour tortillas in house and you can tell because it's so fluffy and flavorful. The chorizo tastes homemade and is absolutely delicious!! Goes well with both the eggs and beans. I also tried the picadillo, chicharron, and birria. Don't cheat yourself. Try the picadillo. It is divine!! I'm not normally a fan of chicharron but for some reason I decided to try it because I trust Rudy's cooking?? Still am not a fan of chicharron lol. The birria just tasted like shredded beef. Nothing to write home about. They serve pastor only on the weekends so I'll have to come back and try it another time. One small detail that I loved - Rudy's has great napkins!! I usually run through a mountain of thin, single ply, paper towel-sequel napkins because sauce drips out the back ends of my tacos all over my hands. The napkins here are QUALITY. I only used one through my whole meal. Great little joint. They have more than tacos but that's all I've had. There's not a lot of Mexican restaurants in the Frisco/Plano area but this place is great! Definitely count me in as a regular!
google avatar

Cindy S.

Yelp
Stop what you're doing cause Rudy's bout to ruin the usual taco that you're used to! AY DIOS MIO!! I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Have you ever been on the search for the best something? Like the best cupcake or the best pizza? My husband and I have been all over Texas trying to find the best Mexican street tacos. Well by cracky I think we found them! BEST MEXICAN STREET TACOS! He's from El De Efe (Mexico City) and he's a serious carnivore so I think that makes him somewhat of an expert on street taco subject matter. We come across a lot of great tacos and I thought I had some of the best until RUDY'S!! I feel like I need to update all my other taco reviews and demotethe other 5-Star rated tacos 4-stars cause Rudy just blew them out of the agua! You won't find these in a restaurant. Rudy's Kitchen is located inside a Chevron gas station in the back corner. Menu is hand written and changes daily but some items like tacos are consistent. What makes these tacos stand out is the made-from-scratch tortillas. The meat is perfectly seasoned. We had al pastor and carne asada topped with traditional onion and cilantro. The Mexican rice was quite good too. My husband also got a gordita (like a stuffed pita but with tortilla) and raved about it! The salsas are also homemade. The green has the kick of heat and the red is a unique and little smokey flavor maybe from some guajillo chiles? So good! Rudy- you've just earned a couple new regulars! Keep those tacos coming!
google avatar

Annabel T.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious Mexican food. The best I've had in North Texas. Get this! Elote en vaso Churro (I'm not a sweet tooth and loved it) Been and chorizo burrito (they're medium size) Tacos - all good. Super fast service. Amazing hidden gem.
google avatar

Annie N.

Yelp
This little spot is located inside a moderate sized gas station. It's very low key and to the point. Does accept credi I ordered 2 shredded beef tacos, as well as 2 chicharrones tacos. Review: Shredded beef taco a little dry, tortilla decent, but dry too Chicharrones taco, normal squishy texture flavor modest also. Salsa verde, appeared to be bottled not homemade. Service good though
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
Wow, what a pleasant surprise! I found Rudy's via yelp and got a little lost looking for it. My GPS told me I passed it, but I didn't see it. So we looped back around and that's when I saw the sign at the gas station! No judgement! There's a few places for seating, but that's okay. We were greeted and made aware what proteins were left for the day. Lengua, Cabeza, Pastor, Pollo, Carne Asada; there were so many that I can't remember! Not pictured, but at the table, a variety of different tacos, Gorditas, and everyone got a side of rice and beans. So.. I love rice and beans, but I REALLY LOVE The rice and beans here. The rice was light, but still somehow packed a lot of flavor. It wasn't overwhelming to the rest of my plate AT ALL. The beans were pretty much the same for me. I loved them. Moving on to my burritos, they're personal sized; not like the way we Americanized burritos. But still a decent size. It's on a fresh flour tortilla, that's a little thicker than what I expected. The thickness of pita? But so soft and flaky, freshly "toasted." Pictured is the pastor, which was so soft. I had a few good chunks of pineapple in there. And of course lots of cilantro and onions! Overall, please visit Rudy's. Sit down, take out, whatever. You know when the food is so good, no one talks? That was us. Everything was perfectly seasoned and fresh! Throw some salsa on it (it's got a kick), and Rudy's will deliver!
google avatar

Yelp
1/5 ambiance 2/5 breakfast burritos 5/5 for tortillas 5/5 for salsas Tastes like true Mexican food. Like REAL Mexican food. If you're wanting even a little Tex mex skip this place. It's totally authentic.

John C.

Yelp
Went to Rudy's for breakfast tacos for the first time this morning. Met Rudy, asked for his recommendation and got a chorizo and bean, a potato and egg and a potato, ham and egg breakfast tacos. All were fantastic. We shared and fed 4 adults. Great value. Great local small business. We will be regulars.
google avatar

Anye S.

Yelp
The food here is excellent. You may wait a bit, and you probably want to take it to go as there are just a couple tables inside (the place is in a Chevron station), and you need to be a little flexible as the menu is different every day and the items on the printed menu aren't always available, but try something new and be enchanted. The flour tortillas here are really fresh, so the tacos/burritos are top notch but I also like the gorditas. My favorite fillings are the birria (which usually seems available), ham / egg & bean. If you like chorizo then the chorizo and bean is also a great combination. The shrimp tostada is amazing too. Honestly, I've never had anything bad here and it's as close to abuela's cooking (your grandma, not the chain restaurant) that you're going to find here.

Keishaun T.

Yelp
Amazing tacos from authentic people . Ingredients were fresh, tacos were hot and delicious, authentic. Great service and friendly faces and vibes. Great hole in the wall.
google avatar

Ethan P.

Yelp
I've been looking for real Mexican food in Frisco for a very long time and finally found it! The atmosphere may not be what you expect but don't let that dissuade you from enjoying the authentic, fresh food. We ordered street tacos de pollo, tostada de picadillo and a gordita de pollo en salsa roja. You can tell that everything is homemade. The flavors and seasonings were not overpowering and things weren't drowning in sauce like you'll find at many Mexican restaurants. The salsas, both red and green, were fresh and had a perfect level of heat. If you love Mexican food, this is a must try!
google avatar

Hector N.

Yelp
Sorry but it looks like the original Rudy is gone. So when the original owner leaves...the quality and service Suffers. They don't have the staples that made Rudy's good. Time to find a new taco spot
google avatar

Mark R.

Yelp
Really fresh tortillas and salsas. We liked the beef the best. Will definitely return!

Cynthia M.

Yelp
Food was super good. Had a taco plate and everything was delicious! It's located in the corner of a gas station and convenience store, kinda hokey, but food more than made up for it. Really good!
google avatar

Raquel T.

Yelp
Green salsa was good and spicy. I ordered fajita street tacos and one rajas y queso Gordita. The fajita tacos had SO many hard and tough pieces, basically they throw in everything so it looks like you're getting more meat. You're getting more of something, you just can't eat it. They didn't have carnitas or barbacoa or lengua. They had ground beef, cabeza (head of some sort) and chicken. Ground beef looked sad and when you think of street tacos, ground beef doesn't fit the bill. The corn tortillas were cold and falling apart. I was most dissatisfied with my rajas and cheese gordita. It had literally no cheese, plenty of rajas but cheese was gone. And no it wasn't melted, it just wasn't there. Will not be giving them another try.

Brian J.

Yelp
Only had their breakfast tacos and they were excellent. Prices and content are generous and all the employees were friendly. Definitely a good spot to grab some morning tacos.
google avatar

Farrah V.

Yelp
Just tried Rudy's for the first time last weekend and it did not disappoint! Food was delicious, portions were very generous, and service was great. The tortillas made in house are pillow-y and flour-y (yum!) and the red and green salsa is really good. Breakfast stops at 10:00 at which time the meats ( pastor, barbacoa, etc.) start. We had a variety of their items and they were all delicious. I wish their egg and chorizo taco was available on Saturdays and I would definitely be going by for it. Keep it up Rudy! I wish we had found you years ago.

Trevor W.

Yelp
Always great tacos and love the Gorditas. Food and flavor is awesome and even got hit with some spicy heat that was enjoyable
google avatar

Sherwin C.

Yelp
Awesome Cabeza Tacos and Gorditas. Also, I really love the churros. Churros is best eaten when it is warm. Best part about the churros is that it is filled with dulce de leche. I recommend you all to eat that place.

Maria W.

Yelp
I like to go to this place for the menudo on the weekends. The menudo is pretty good. However, the rest of the food is pretty plain. The carne asada tacos are really bad, but the place gets a 4 just because of the menudo.
google avatar

Myia B.

Yelp
Food: gorditas, burritos with flour tortillas...the menu changes daily with a constant or two. They had the option of bistek and pork; I tried them both. Each Gordita came with onion and cilantro inside alongside the meat. $5 price for both. Red and green sauce provided. Flavor was okay...onions overpowered. Gordita shell has some chew to it. These are small...maybe a little too small for the price point, jury is still out. Service & Atmosphere: fast and friendly. Minutes to get the order. They have a few seats/tables in the back of the gas station for dining in, but I opted to grab mine to-go. I won't run back, but don't let that deter you, without expectation, give them a whirl.
google avatar

Rik J.

Yelp
Ordered the menudo to got not hot as in temp or spicy pieces were huge no sweat just not my place
