‘Top Chef’ Season 16, Episode 12: ‘Kentucky Farewell’ Recap | Eater

"A large event arena that served as the site of a memorable showdown in which a contestant was eliminated after serving overly soft, “mushy” ribs; that costly misstep cut short a streak of challenge wins and became a turning point in the competition." - Greg Morabito

‘Top Chef’ Season 16, Episode 11: ‘The Greatest’ Recap | Eater

"A large arena served as the site of an early challenge in which a contestant was eliminated for serving mushy ribs. The crowd taunted a chef for using a boxed waffle mix, which contributed to tensions between teammates; one of them later apologized, explaining that standing on the floor was emotionally charged because her grandfather used to take her to games as a child." - Greg Morabito

Top Chef Season 16, Episode 10: ‘Hoop Dreams’ Recap | Eater

"An arena kitchen and court were used for an elimination challenge where chefs cooked comfort-food game-day menus for a roaring college-basketball crowd, with dishes presented on the court to judges that included the home-team coach and a Food & Wine editor. Teams split into competing menus — dumplings, wings, ribs, chicken & waffles, and a Jucy Lucy riff — and battled amid stadium pressures: ovens made it hard to crisp ribs, large crowds (about 4,200) heckled a contestant over boxed waffle mix, and on-court presentation amplified both praise and errors. Eric’s tamarind-glazed wings were judged the best overall and earned the winning team cash prizes, while two weaker dishes (a too-soft rack of ribs and a faltering chicken & waffles) put one chef on the chopping block and led to her elimination despite her belief in her creativity and resilience." - Greg Morabito

Beautiful venue. We were at a sold-out show, but there was no waiting for concessions or bathrooms. The staff was friendly & helpful. We didn't encounter any issues. Key Park is a beautiful place to lounge before the event.

We seen Creed here and it was our first time at this arena! We had pit seats and they were great! They even have their own floor level concession this way you dont have to go all the way up for refreshments! Clean and easy to navigate once inside! Staff was friendly and helpful. Well lit parking lot.

Rude, Rude, Rude! I Will Not Attend Another Event at Rupp! My husband and I drove three hours to meet up with my daughter, son-in-law, and grandsons to attend Disney On Ice at Rupp Arena on 4/5/25. While the show itself was magnificent, the experience with the venue staff left us feeling angry and disappointed. We were seated just a few rows up from the floor with our 2-year-old grandson and 3-month-old grandson. After the show, we chose to stay seated a few moments to let the crowd thin out while my daughter was trying to get the baby secured in the carrier, and we were collecting our things. That’s when a worker came up and rudely said, “We need to get up through here and clean. We have another show tomorrow.” When we asked for just a minute, she shooed us with her hands and said something like, “Yeah, we need you to go on!” It was completely unnecessary and disrespectful, especially with small children in tow. She wasn’t carrying anything and didn’t appear to be doing urgent cleanup, just scanning the area. We made eye contact and she knew she was being rude. I reported the incident to someone who said they were a supervisor, and as luck would have it, the same staff member walked by while I was speaking. I doubt anything will be done, which is why I’m leaving this review. To make matters worse, a severe storm hit as the event ended. We were trying to exit toward the parking lot we paid to use (across the street), and were told we couldn’t use the closest door unless we were waiting to be picked up. Staff instructed us to walk around to the front, which in turn would have had us walking further in the pouring rain with two small children. Again, staff were pushy and showed no concern or flexibility. And the parking lot situation? A disaster. It took nearly an hour to get out because no one was directing traffic. Vehicles weren’t alternating to let people out safely, and cars on the main road weren’t slowing down. It was dangerous, especially crossing on foot in the rain with young children. No overpass. No one helping people cross. And this was a children’s event—they knew there would be many families and little ones trying to get across those busy streets. Rupp, you have got to do better. Your staff need training in basic courtesy, and your crowd and traffic management need serious work. The show was magical. The rest of the experience was anything but!

Rupp Arena is a Very Big Venue! We came for the Champion Force National Cheer Competition and it was Great! There was plenty of room of all the teams that came from All Over The United States! Look forward to coming back in the next coming years!

We had a awesome time except for the fact that they double booked had a conference on the same day the concert started at 7:00 they didn’t let us in until 6:00 it was cold the wind was blowing so bad we was up in the front of the line but the line behind us wrapped all the way around the building… we had no time to look at merchandise and please be aware that they do not take cash for anything. It is card only !!!

Very cool building. Architecture is very photogenic! Venue was great for concert. Floor tickets were hard to navigate how to get there if you’ve never been before. Bathrooms were super clean with little wait.

Prices, of course, are high, including parking. But it was easy getting in and out of the parking lot and arena. Very surprised tbh. I appreciated the police and security directing traffic and pedestrians.

The show we went to see was amazing. Sound and lighting were very well done. My only complaint was that a drink (fountain soda) was $7 - $9, and bottled water was $5.
