Teams split into competing menus — dumplings, wings, ribs, chicken & waffles, and a Jucy Lucy riff — and battled amid stadium pressures: ovens made it hard to crisp ribs, large crowds (about 4,200) heckled a contestant over boxed waffle mix, and on-court presentation amplified both praise and errors.
