Healthy, generous salad bowls and uniquely delicious sandwiches in a nostalgic, antique coffee pots decorated, bohemian Californian, cute, century old, historic house with a brick wall, fireplace and a nice patio in the back. A self described “hippy joint”, this restaurant serves a multi-page menu of healthy soups, salads, unusual versions of sandwiches like a cream cheese and black olive sandwich on squaw bread, bagel pizzas, Mexican food, egg salad sandwiches, and tuna sandwiches. Delicious shakes and different types of coffee drinks. Everything you order is good and healthy. The potato salad is awesome. The cookies are divine. They’ve been doing this a long time, so they know how to make good food!

I was introduced to this place by a good friend and wasn’t quite sure what to expect. At first glance, the place looked a bit old, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I ordered the Asian salad and made a few modifications—specifically, I asked them to leave out the mushrooms. In hindsight, I should’ve also asked them to remove the tomatoes, as I don’t think they really go with an Asian-style salad. That said, the portion was generous, and the salad itself was actually quite good. I also tried their cheesecake, and it was absolutely amazing—definitely the highlight of the meal!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rutabagoras Restaurant, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the friendly atmosphere and enjoyable music that set the tone for a relaxing meal. The service was impressively fast and efficient, which made for a seamless dining experience. The portions were generous, perfect for sharing, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. I tried the Turkey Cranberry Cream Cheese Sandwich, and it was nothing short of fantastic. The turkey was fresh, the cranberries had the perfect touch of sweetness, and the cream cheese complemented the flavors beautifully. The bread, which I believe was pumpernickel, was exceptional and added a delightful twist to the sandwich. I also enjoyed a Passion Fruit Tea, which was initially unsweetened but came with sweeteners available on the table, allowing me to customize it to my taste. Additionally, the Thai Salad with Chicken and Shrimp was enormous—so much so that a take-home container was necessary! Not to mention the fresh black bean dip, and the exceptionally fresh tortilla strips salted perfectly Would I revisit Rutabagoras? Absolutely! The menu boasts a wide variety of interesting food choices and combinations, and despite its size, the quality of the fresh ingredients shines through. As a lovely bonus on my way out, I was offered a Passion Fruit Tea to take home, which was a thoughtful touch. I highly recommend Rutabagoras Restaurant. The customer service deserves five stars, the food freshness is also five stars, and the table service is equally deserving of five stars. This restaurant stands out as an excellent establishment, and I truly found nothing to nitpick about—an impressive feat for someone like me! Overall, I look forward to my next visit!

Can't go wrong. Healthy fresh salads with great flavors. There's a reason its been around for 55 years. Prices are resonable too!

Google
This is the best place to get very fresh salads! Mediterranean salad consists of green leafy vegetables topped with feta, olives, turkey slices, tomatoes, broccoli and cauliflower. It’s good for two. Pita bread was good as well. I had it for lunch and will save for dinner. My daughter ordered a veggie burger which smells heavenly! I have dined in and ordered to go. Food is always well prepared.

This place offers good sandwiches and a nice vibe. The sandwiches are fresh, tasty, and healthy, but what stands out most is the service. The staff are both kind and professional. Overall, I had a great experience here and highly recommend visiting again.

We held an end if the year company gathering and it turned out great! Our servers were amazing, friendly and very attentive. The food was delicious and fresh, the special dip was mango salsa and it was so good with the chips I had to take an order to go 😉. This place is very casual and comfy, with healthy food that you can indulge in. So close to other bars and shops to walk off your meal.

Yelp
Rutabegorz ticks all the boxes! Fresh, delicious, healthy, terrific ambience, and impeccable service. Our server accommodated my friend's requests with such grace (she's extremely particular)! I was initially overwhelmed with so many options, but I decided to go with the garlic chicken sandwich. The portion was HUGE and so tasty! Caveat: when they say garlic, they MEAN garlic - and a TON of it! I had garlic emissions for a couple of days. There is ample indoor seating in addition to a lovely covered patio out back.

Yelp
I appreciate the vegetarian options, but the delivery just isn't there. At least make the food taste good, please. I was incredibly disappointed after my visit here. My husband was equally confused by all of the raving reviews. How does this place have so many good reviews? I just don't get it. The food was so bland. Sure, there was lots of veggies. The veggies were fresh. I'll give them that. The dishes just didn't come together well. My salad was very lackluster. The dressing had no flavor. It was like eating veggies with water on them lol I couldn't take it. The salad was unappetizing. I ordered hummus with pita bread. The pita bread was wheat. It was gross. The hummus itself was decent though. I ordered the macaroni and cheese with no bacon. It just wasn't good. The sauce was a runny cheese with some grated cheese sprinkled on top. The cheese on top wasn't melted. I didn't care for the flavor with the sun dried tomatoes. Just not my cup of tea. I basically didn't like anything here. Service was fine. Except for the fact that the waitress saw that I didn't eat any of my food, and she didn't even think to ask if everything was okay. That was odd to me. Ambiance was not crowded, but it wasn't dead. There were a lot of older folks there dining.

Yelp
We went here for dinner after years of not having visited. When you step inside, you actually seat yourself, and a server will provide menus and ask for drink orders. The ambience is interesting with recreations of ancient Egyptian art. It's a little dark inside with lights that flicker occasionally. On a Friday night, it was a little quiet inside. I got the Italiano wrap ($16.50), which had salami, pepperoncini, mozzarella, onion, lettuce, and tomato. The ingredients were all fresh and tasty. There was a little spoon to pour the dijon vinaigrette into the wrap. The macaroni salad was pleasantly light and not too creamy. While I enjoyed the food, the price was costly for the portion size. I felt full, but I wish they served the wrap in a bigger size for the price charged. The salads look like they come in generous portions since they get served in large bowls. It's nice that there are a lot of fresh and healthy options, however.

Yelp
This place has so many options for meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans. Their artichoke dip is absolutely delicious! The chips are fresh and salty too. Perfect appetizer! Their salads are big and flavorful. I got the garlic chicken sandwich and it was so good! The roll made it garlicky and flavorful. Service is attentive and nice (I didn't have to ask for a refill once). We got there right when they opened and sat wherever we wanted. The outside is a great shaded area to enjoy a wonderful meal.

Yelp
I love this restaurant. I love their food, atmosphere, ambience, decor, and service. No complaints. I got a few $3 beers. I also got 1/2 soup and 1/2 sandwich. It was delicious. I've been here several times before. I like their killer chili and their curry chicken wrap. So good. This restaurant is a top 10. It's our fav and a must try.

Yelp
10/10 BBQ Chicken Fiesta Salad - This is hands down one of my top favorite salad spots--especially this particular location. The salads are absolutely massive, and everything is incredibly fresh. They're generous with all the ingredients, so you're never left feeling like something's missing. Plus, they offer a great variety of dressings to choose from, which makes customizing your salad even better. 10/10 Artichoke Dip - This is also our go-to appetizer! So delicious! Cost - BBQ Chicken Fiesta Salad $17.50 (before tax and tip). Artichoke Dip $8.50 (before tax and tip). 1w

Yelp
Every time I've been here the food is always delicious, well prepared and nice to look at. I always try to get the dip sample and today it was $.55 for a pineapple salsa with chips. The service was very good. Our servers name was Meriya. She checked in with us often enough. I had the Bill Murray chicken curry wrap. I've never had a wrap that was wrapped well. All of the stuff fell out, but it was yummy as a salad with a soft tortilla. There were four of us, one had veggie enchiladas, one had a spicy chicken quesadilla and the final member of our party had a salami sandwich. The wrap and the sandwich came with an unremarkable pasta salad, it needed something crunchy like celery, or pickles or onion. In my opinion. The quesadilla came with guacamole, sour cream, and a tasty smoky salsa. The guacamole and salsa are homemade. The curry dressing that came with the wrap was homemade as well. that The ambience is a beautiful restaurant inside and outside. If you read the history of the restaurant, it used to be a doctor's office in the 1940s. There's always something new to see art and antique wise. This is a local favorite.

Yelp
Picked up a Walnut That Kissed The Chicken Sandwich and it was a solid sandwich with a little side of potato salad and two slices of pineapple. I liked the Indian grain bread and the sandwich was loaded with chicken salad. I felt really healthy after eating this sandwich!

Yelp
First time here, wanted some good soup for dinner. Seat yourself anywhere. Huge place. Staff is friendly, but used to regulars. They are not just vegetarian, as we assumed for the longest time (20 years, sorry...) Tried the seasonal club called the Dave Beard gets spicy. Comes with mini cup of pasta salad and wedge of cantaloupe. Sando was good, not over toasted, didn't taste the garlic in the bread, though. Also ordered a cup of tortilla soup on the side. A little salty, but it was nice and chunky with veg and chicken. Tortilla (chips) on the side. Wife got the cookie leekie chicken soup. Think clam chowder, but with chicken. It comes with a slice of squaw bread and 2 pats of butter. Will try them again, along with their cocktails and coffee specialty drinks. If we're pokemoning in the area, I'm going to get a smoothie!

Yelp
I met a friend for lunch here on a weekday at noon. It's sort of hidden and, although it doesn't have its own parking lot, I had no problem finding street parking. It's an older restaurant with several rooms and a patio. You seat yourself and, when you're finished eating, you pay at the booth near the front door. Whimsical paintings and decor cover the walls and one room has a shelf that encircles the room with vintage coffee pots. We sat in a booth and ordered - for 54 cents (one cent for every year they've been open) - a small dish of chips and dip. For lunch, after looking over the massive menu, I decided on a chicken salad sandwich which they call "The Walnut That Kissed The Chicken". It has walnuts, mayo, and celery in the chicken salad mix along with lettuce, and tomato on top. It was huge! It was delicous! I had an Arnold Palmer to drink which was made perfectly. I was too full for dessert but got a cookie to take home. They had several to choose from and I decided on a seasonal one: pumpkin. This cookie was enormous, the size you normally get at those gourmet cookie shops (maybe bigger!). The pumpkin spice flavor was mild while a maple glaze sweetened it up. Our server was wonderful and the food was yummy but I especially loved the goofy atmosphere of the place.

Yelp
Rutabegorz is a nice spot for lunch or a quick bite to catch up with a friend. The food portions are decent as well as delicious and presentable. The service is friendly and quick! Overall, great communication from the restaurant staff and I recommend Elizabeth's Tostada Salad. Their desserts are also a plus! :)

Yelp
Nice good, nice staff, eclectic decor. Would go back and try and other bits and bobs as the menu is large. $20 got me my combo lunch plate, so not the cheapest but the portions are large.

Yelp
Another amazing lunch here today! Steven M was our server and super friendly and on top of it. We got here and had no wait, which was great because we were all starving!! Amazing flavors and THE FRESHEST ingredients!! And absolutely always love the chill vibe, including murals and music!

Yelp
Late review from end of May. I'm having a serious craving for a big bowl of the cockie leeky soup. Warm, potato and leek chowder style soup, I had no idea what to expect and it was so darn good! Food is incredibly fresh and simple. The spinach and artichoke dip had a zesty bite, possibly pickled green peppers in there somewhere? It was a nice twist on a familiar appetizer. Half sandwich and cup of soup was plenty. They also had a flavored iced tea which was very good in an Arnold Palmer. The server even offered a cup to go, which was a delightful treat for the warm day that it was. Hubs ordered a bowl of chili on the side and it tasted hearty and healthy. I believe he got the black bean chili. Lovely spot to stop in. The decor is fun, the service kind, and the food is excellent.

Yelp
I just love this place. Good food. Nice service. Such reasonable prices. Beautiful patio to enjoy on a sunny day. Thank you, Paul, for pioneering vegetarian-friendly food I. My CB hometown.

Yelp
Adorable! I can only comment on service and desserts as we were there briefly. First of all, the decor is adorable, super cozy and family friendly. My father in law wanted chocolate, so I googled and found this place nearby. I brought him chocolate ice cream, chocolate chip cookies, and a chocolate fudge brownie. No, he did not have them all at the same time ;) he gobbled the ice cream and we put away the fudge for another time. The cookie was a bit hard and he was only able to eat a quarter of it. The service was fast and they were ever nice. We will be back. So great to have chocolate nearby!

Yelp
I'm a vegetarian. Hence why I eat at Rutabegorz. My chili burrito (that doesn't include chicken) came to the table soggy, drenched in raw onion and stuck to the plate with burnt cheese. Server/manager never apologized. She was too concerned with the fact I was complaining about my horrific meal. Server (different one) served up attitude and basically wanted to fight she refused to give her name. Emailed DANE the manager 3 days ago. No reply back. This place, the people are garbage.

Yelp
Such a cute spot in DTF. The small, unassuming storefront gives way to a large, maze like interior. Per the sign upon walking in, we seated ourselves. It was a beautiful day and we opted to sit in their covered outdoor area. Service was on the slower side, but the vibe was very laid back and relaxing overall. Their menu is expansive, and the portions are large. Hummus and pita. Skip. Artichoke dip. So good. Ended up taking it home to nosh on later. Cobb salad. The ingredients were super fresh, but the balsamic dressing it came with was a little overpowering in its acidity. They offer multiple dressings, though. Thai wrap. They did not skimp on the shrimp. The peanut dressing was quite salty on its own, but it ended up pairing well with the veggie-filled wrap.

Yelp
PHENOMENAL. This is a heavenly place for vegans. I love their options, portions, and flavors. The service is great, and the wait isn't bad.

Yelp
We used to go to the Rutabegorz in Orange 18 years ago. It was one of our favorites. Had not been to this one in Fullerton, but visiting CA we had to stop and have our two favorites. Garlic Chicken salad with feta. My wife loves this salad and enjoyed it. She got the small, and I cannot imagine a large, because this one could have fed two people. I had the nachos with garlic chicken added. An old favorite that comes with guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. Plenty of cheese and some tomatoes. Not exactly as I remember it, but I still polished off the plate. Love the passion fruit ice tea and had some very nice cappuccino and chia lattes afterwards! The service is friendly and they are very attentive. Bathroom is small but clean!

Yelp
Excellent food and service. But 2 guys dressed in flannel on a date there are total scumbags!!!! My daughter's battery died while parked in front and we asked them for a jump. The passenger said yes but his boyfriend said ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! That is a true POS!!!! If you read this please know you are a bad American and I truly hope I run into you again Literally in Fullerton.... You deserve a foot in your ass... I go to this restaurant a lot so you want to stay clear !!!! Rutabegorz is way too good for you or anyone like this!!!

Yelp
I have been going here since i was young and only have good things to say! I love their food and staff. Never have I been disappointed by the food, it comes quick and tastes good. There is lots of seating and the decorations are gorgeous! I 100% recommend if you are in the area!!!

Patricia B.

Yelp
Food is always delicious and enormous portions but service was miserable. Waited 10 minutes for someone to take our order, 20 minutes later the food arrives still no water or drink that was ordered with food. No one asked how the food was, did we need anything else. Perhaps they need more servers
google avatar

Maggie C.

Yelp
The ambiance of this place is really what sets them apart from others. A very homey setting with very cute decor. The food was good but not amazing. Honestly how fancy can you get with soup, salad, and sandwiches? Ordered take out but the staff was friendly and quick :)
google avatar

Yelp
I've been coming here on and off for 20 years, mostly because friends suggest it and it has veggie options. But never do I crave it. The food isn't as flavorful as I would like. The last time I went, my enchiladas had two slices of unripe tomatoes on top. Also there was a random blob of mashed potatoes in it. The enchilada sauce was more of a thick smear. It was just weird. And wayyyyy too much cheese. My husbands chicken pasta was too salty. And my mom quinoa bowl was soupy. The salads here are pretty decent though. Just feel like there are better places to go.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I decided to come on a Friday night and it wasn't busy at all. Upon entering you seat yourself and a waiter will come to your table to take your order. The atmosphere is very charming since it was a medical office/house before! We ordered the artichoke dip to start. It's different than most other restaurants. Theirs has a looottt of pieces of arthichoke in it, which I loved! We also got the cockie leeky soup, which tasted better than fresh. It didn't taste the same after reheating the leftovers. For entrees we got the garlic chicken sandwich and the bbq chicken sandwich. The sandwiches were good, but nothing special. Overall, though the dishes are ones we could probably make ourselves at home, we would come again since we can taste that the ingredients used is fresh and healthier than most other restaurants. Tip: They have a daily dip that is 54 cents, but the day we went it was a white bean hummus dip. It didn't intrigue me enough for me to get it, but their dips are usually pretty good!

Yelp
Service was amazing... The food is worth every penny... The manager here Dane was so generous and so kind... I use to be a server and talking to him I would work under him... Thank you for a great experience...

Yelp
Love the enormous portion sizes and good is decent. I've only really eaten in the restaurant once and ordered out the rest of the times. Service is super simple, just order and pick a seat and food gets delivered to your table. I feel like it's almost like a lunch hall sometimes, but it's nice and cozy and staff are friendly. Even a small salad is rather large of salad.

Yelp
I loved the chicken tortilla soup and the tequila sunrise. The inside and outside of the restaurant are nice. The service was excellent.

Yelp
1.5 stars for inaccuracy of multiple orders on multiple days First time shame on me, second time shame on you, third time .. why am I still coming back?? The first time I ordered a veggie quinoa bowl and got a chicken one, I touted it to my own miscommunication to give them the benefit of a doubt. Even though I know I look at the menu, point at the item, and verbally placed my order. Unfortunately, they don't offer itemized receipts. The second time I ordered a veggie quinoa bowl, AND MADE SURE TO look at the menu, point at the item, and verbally placed my order. I also shared about my previous unfortunate experience. I also asked for an itemized receipt. When I got home and realized the mistake, I knew it was not my communication. I was escalated through different chains of command until I reached a third person who agreed to replace the meal and advised me to check my own order. The THIRD time, I ordered a portabellow mushroom, veggie Cobb salad, and veggie soup of the day. I specifically asked for an itemized receipt. It was the cashier's recommendation to order the menu's veggie Cobb salad rather than what I initially requested: a Cobb with no meat because I'm a vegetarian. The estimated wait time was 15-20 minutes but I waited for 30 minutes. I made it a point to scan all my orders upon leaving, with the cashier next to me. I saw the sandwich and thought I was good. Imagine my horror when I came home to find a sandwich with different kinds of meat! I've been a vegetarian due to animal-compassion reasons. I feel so awful that this was given to me. At this point, even if the food quality is decent, it doesn't even matter when I don't even get the right order. Not only did I get meat which I MAKE A POINT to not have, but I got a totally different order.

Yelp
If you like REAL FOOD this is your kind of place. Everything tastes so good. The soups are like what I grew up with when grandma spent time making wholesome food for the family. Wraps and salads are all delicious and creative. I like the Thai wrap with chicken and shrimp. Servers are friendly and do a good job checking in. Great to sit inside, but I like the casual patio. You will feel energized after eating here!

Yelp
We just held a bridal shower luncheon at rutabegorz and it was amazing. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We were able to use the outside patio and decorate. It was a phenomenal experience. Dane is a fantastic manager who accommodated everything we needed and then some. And Cindy and Diana were the absolute best servers. All our guests left so happy.
google avatar

Kelly B.

Yelp
Visited some friends in their town and they suggested this place to accommodate all the needs (vegetarian, vegan, meat eaters). Colorful restaurant decor, good service and a very huge menu! Many of us had trouble deciding what to try, as a few things sounded good. Everything we ordered was enjoyed and we got their huge cookies to take back to our friend's house. The huge pumpkin cookie with frosting was crazy delicious!

Yelp
I've been here a few times, and I have to say that it's not the type of food I normally eat. It's definitely healthy. However, the Mediterranean sandwich I got was very bland. The dressing that came with it couldn't help improve the flavor. I don't think it was a bad sandwich, just not my favorite. I should have stuck to the thai chicken wrap. I did have the leeky chicken soup. That was actually good. The service was good. The server checked on us frequently and made sure our needs were met. Overall, it was a nice experience. I just got to be sure about what to order next time.

Yelp
I guess I gotta stop choosing cozy little seats at restaurants...I guess I get so cozy I blend into the wall...this is a "seat yourself" restaurant, so I seated myself and waited and waited. A few people looked at me but no one came by my table. A couple came in after me and someone did ask them for their drink order...I still waited but maybe I'm in a different person's zone for assistance. However, it is lunch time, they are busy and this gave me time to decide what I wanted. I ordered the half chicken salad sandwich and chicken veggie soup. I also had the lemon ginger tea (loved it). All that aside, I ENJOYED THE MEAL! It was really good and the portions were just right. It is a very cozy atmosphere, like I could have just wrapped up in a blanket and took a nap. I plan to visit again.

Gen R.

Yelp
I think portions for kids meal, which have been significantly reduced by vet the past year(s) should be reevaluated considering the price and lack of other items not included. Also, when staff no longer get the kids drink for a pick up order it's a bit scammy. Telephone orders should repeat the pricing before placing the order so the customer isn't surprised about the price change which are never advertised verbally. Not good customer service. Also, host/staff should retrained on providing a drink carrier especially since there were no other customers around atm, and this just goes to show how customer service has disintegrated over time (since I do commute frequently than not) from what once was a quick go-to restaurant preference. Guess I'll have to go back to looking into other options, in hopes that customer experience matters, and not just taking the money for a subpar experience. Ambiance is not as welcoming as it once was.

T P.

Yelp
Good food and portions but lackluster/slow service. Had to flag the staff down at every point for ordering, drinks, and check at lunch on a Saturday and saw another table doing the same.

Yelp
Best salads ever!! Massive portions and the he flavor is unmatched. Go for the strawberry chicken... you won't be disappointed

Yelp
Simply wonderful. It pops up out of nowhere in the busy area of downtown Fullerton, like a mushroom in the forest. Fresh and friendly, quirky and delicious. There is so much to like about this place. A huge menu bolstered by seasonal specials of fresh ingredients and combinations. I sat staring at my menu for like, a while, not knowing which awesome choice to pick. Everything I've ever had here has been plentiful and tasty. Heads up-- big portions! They even had a .53 cent dip to celebrate being open that long. The current one was a flavorful siracha sweet potato hummus. Highly recommend. Cute concept. Definitely seems like the place where you want to ask about the specials. $13 bottle of wine? Ummm, is it poisoned? I'm so confused. You'd be lucky to get a single drink for that price anywhere else. I very much enjoyed the cheap anniversary dip, the artichoke dip, the vegetable enchiladas that arrived on an overflowing plate of food with rice and beans and salad. Server was just the right level of fun and attentive. All around, just everything I needed for this night out. Also, side note: Hawaiian Punch was apparently developed in Fullerton, CA, as an ice cream topping? Who knew? Tony the Tiger's voice grew up here too. Thanks, blurb decorations on the bathroom wall.

Yelp
Amazing food, ambiance is fun, service spectacular and delicious! Kept a menu so I can cross off what I eat so I can try all the yummy things I want!

Yelp
It is always a pleasure eating here. The staff is great and knows us, so they tend to get our orders in and out in a quick manner. I always make it a habit to try something new here. My favorites are the pastas. I have tried the Mac n Cheese and the Cheese Ravioli. They are delicious. They also use natural ingredients so it is so fresh. The salads here are massive so I try to not order those but if I had to, the BBQ Chicken Fiesta salad is yummy. The portion is huge so I am pretty sure you can share. They have indoor and outdoor seating but to experience the full Ruta experience. sitting int he patio is a must do. It is close to the university and The Circle so lots of foot traffic. I am pretty sure I will be back since it is so close to work and also because I got some more dishes that I want to try out. See you soon Ruta & friends!!!

It's been slightly over 3 decades since I had the pleasure of eating at this establishment. Since I was a young student attending CSUF, and sharing a monthly Monday meal with my father. Great memories! To my elated surprise, my favorite Fullerton restaurant was still around and I just had to visit, if only to taste once again my ultimate favorite soup, Cocky Leeky. The atmosphere, the newly added dog friendly patio, attentive service by Cindy, and of course the food is reasons enough to make a monthly pilgrimage from LA. A very fond thank you!

Yelp
Eclectic decor. Homey (tea pot collection along the ceiling shelf) and rutabega art on the walls. Nachos were first rate. The black bean chili a little bland. The "tried and trues" were solid but the more "adventurous" entrees seemed a bit out of their depth. Service attentive but not overwhelming. Reasonable prices.

Yelp
Came this morning right at 10:30 and they were ready to go! Ordered a hot chocolate, artichoke dip, a chicken sandwich on a French roll and a pasta marinara for my son. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs but we had an active morning. I recommend the artichoke dip and tortilla chips. Super yummy very authentic and a very large portion. Definitely shareable. Most of their food is well proportionate which I love because you get a bang for your buck. The ambience is super cute and eclectic, with different types of art pieces that are definitely conversation pieces. I give this review four stars only because I ordered a hot chocolate and I ended up getting lightly tinted steamed milk. When I let the waitress know, she looked at me kind of confused and then I told her, it taste like steam milk. When I let her know I didnt want it after all and that she could can take it off my check she told me she already charged me for it. So without making a fuss I then asked her to put more chocolate in it and she brought it back and it taste the same. Perhaps it's just my taste buds, maybe I'm used to a different type of chocolate, regardless, I feel that I should've had the option of having it removed from my check since I didn't drink it at all. I tend not to be the person to make a big deal of things, but I am definitely the person to writeabout them. Other than that, everything was great, and I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Updating my review after a few years, dining in the restaurant with significantly better than take out lol! It's a seat, yourself type of restaurant, and the staff is attentive, and nice! Ordered a couple sandwiches, the Portobello, blue cheese sandwich, and a tuna melt delicious! Also had their ghost pepper quesadilla, which was nice it was actually spicy (It's very hard to impress Mexicans with the level of heat on anything). It was Valentine's Day, so they gave complementary chocolate covered strawberries with every dish! Loved their hot spice cider! And the iced one is great too.

Yelp
Disappointed in the service!! The decor and vibe were cool, but we were ignored most of the night- my quinoa dish was sloppy and spilling out of the bowl, and was quite soupy. To have the containers of salsa and pico stuck in the food in the bowl was pretty horrifying. We asked for a refill of ice tea, which had no ice, and even though we were there for several hours, we got no offers of refills... When my companion paid the bill, he requested the table get cleared do we weren't looking at the duty dishes, but that never happened either! We were completely ignored, even when there place was quite empty. The food was tasty, but between the poor presentation and terrible service, I don't see a reason to return...
