I took my fiancée to Ruth’s Chris Steak House at Assembly Square to celebrate her birthday, and wow—what an unforgettable experience! 🎉✨ From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was a whole vibe—perfect for a romantic dinner. 💖🥂 The staff went above and beyond, decorating our table to make her feel extra special, which was such a thoughtful touch. Now, let’s talk about the food—🔥 AMAZING! 🔥 Every bite was perfection, from the sizzling, buttery steaks 🥩 to the delicious sides that paired perfectly with our meal. The flavors were rich, the portions were generous, and the presentation was on point. 👌 Customer service was top-notch! 🙌 The staff was attentive, friendly, and truly made our night special. We wanted a romantic and memorable dinner, and that’s exactly what we got. If you're looking for an upscale, intimate setting with incredible food and outstanding service, this is the place to go! Highly recommend! ⭐✨ #RuthsChris #AssemblySquare #DateNight #BirthdayDinner #FiveStars #SteakLover 🥩🍷

I appreciated that they let me in a quarter hour before closing on a Wednesday night. They close at 9 pm and flying in from the west coast it’s always a challenge getting dinner before things close. The service was fast, friendly and efficient and the quality of the meat was great.

Date night was great! The service, staff, dining table, and dinner was excellent! Our server was so pleasant, she checked in with us enough but was not overbearing. She took my coat to coat check-in when I asked if they had coat hooks. She took pics when we asked, even another server offered to take some. Then, the meal, oh my!!! My filet was delicious, I never thought steak could melt in your mouth! I wished it was bigger and I'm not a huge fan of red meat. My husband enjoyed his steak as well. Drinks were great! Generally, I would say the prices at these steak restaurants are ridiculous but with the exceptional service on this visit, it was well worth every penny! I'm hoping service and taste doesn't change unless for even better! We had a great time on a very cold December night!!

We fine dine quite a bit, and Ruth's Chris was fabulous! The apps, main dishes, and cocktails were all delicious! It was the best calamari I've ever had, and I could cut my filet with my fork! The atmosphere and location are perfect, and our server, Amanda, was very congenial and a pleasure to talk with. Being in the hospitality industry, we appreciate that! We'll be back!

Google
Vanaecia is the best server we have had in a long time. Friendly, attention to detail, made recommendations, smiled, felt like we knew her, and I would love to have her again. My friend told the manager that he hired good when he hired Vanaecia, and I believe that that was the highest compliment any manager could receive about an employee. We will be back because you can't go wrong with a delicious steak each and every time without fail. Also, we will sit where Vanaeciais serving.

Google
Emerald, our waitress was pleasant and nice. The steak was perfect to eat! We loved the texture of the mask potatoes.

Google
Came here for my birthday and had such a good time! The food was delicious, and the steak was done exactly as requested. The spinach and artichoke dip was also divine. I had high expectations and this place met all of them! I would definitely come again for another special occasion.

Google
Food I have been delaying this review for months because I wasn’t sure how I feel about this restaurant. I really wanted to like it as much as my husband did, but I couldn’t find anything in this restaurant that wowed me. Don’t get me wrong. The food is very good, but there is always the gap between very good and extraordinary. The shrimp appetiser was crispy and flavourful. We ordered a $99 steak to share, which was huge. The presentation of the steak was definitely a three star considering the price. I didn’t expect them to serve you the first bite and there was actually oil and some sauce on our plate, which I found it to be interesting. The portion was big and we were so full. Everything else The service was very good and the decor is classy. It is definitely a nice place for a date night, but it is just not for me.

Yelp
My coworkers and I ate here on a Monday night and sat at the bar. There was no wait. The bartender was very attentive and got our drinks promptly. The drinks were exactly what we ordered and were delicious. For entrees, I ordered the cowboy ribeye, medium rare, with an al la carte style for sides. The food was fairly expensive, but WOW! The ribeye was served on a 500* degree plate with melted sizzling butter. The char was impeccable. Hands down one of the best steaks I've had. My coworkers all enjoyed their steaks as well. We were blown away by the experience. The vibes were intimate and not too loud despite being at the bar. The lighting was dim but still light enough to see the menu. We highly recommend Ruth Chris when in assembly row.

Yelp
Great steak and lobster Mac and cheese! The service was nice. The ambiance was also good.

Angela S.

Yelp
Celebrated a birthday with a large party and everyone was happy with their food. For sides we got the mashed potatoes, asparagus, lobster mac and cheese, potatoes au gratin, and sweet potato casserole. I would order all the sides again except the sweet potato because it was sweet and felt like somewhere between a side and a dessert. They were able to accommodate the allergies in our group well. There's one side of the restaurant that is more casual, with a bar and sports playing on the TV. The other half is a standard steakhouse vibe. There are less seats here than the downtown location, but the good part is it was easy reserving a table for a large group for weekend dinner a few days ahead.

Mark B.

Yelp
First time in Somerville last time for us! Filet mignon bone in it tasted sour and was overcooked

James G.

Yelp
My wife and I both got the fillet, the 8 oz cut was very good the 5 oz was not as flavorful. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and the waitress had to be reminded of the order and it came after the dinner was served. The stuffed mushrooms were very spicy, I would not order them again. The good: the vodka sodas were very good and the Au gratin potatoes were delicious.

Yelp
I read the reviews and we must have gone on a really bad night. But a review is a review. We had a 6:30 appointment and were seated promptly. Shortly thereafter bread and water was brought to the table and then the waiter disappeared. In a bit a waiter came by and we placed an order for drinks and an appetizer. 25 minutes passed and the appetizer came out but no drinks. We mentioned this to the waiter and another 5 minutes transpired and no drinks. I went to the maître de and she got the service taken care of. Now I am a vegetarian and saw on the Somerville website that they had a number of vegetarian options. Last night it was a broccoli steak. That was it. The staff was rather non apologetic, "we are a steak house, you know". In other steak houses around the country, they always offer to make something for me and apologize for the lack of choices. Not here. Food arrived and her steak, 11 oz fillet was very good. The broccoli was barely edible. Dessert came by later and the crème brule was very good. So the food was good for her, mine was horrid. The service was some of the worst I've had in decades. Next time we will go to Capital Grill or Grill 23.

Yelp
I've reviewed this location on google but last night celebrated my birthday there so I wanted to update the review to include pictures & names of staff who made it such a great experience. First a detail that I thought was so nice is when we told them what we were celebrating they put gold star confetti on the table, it was a nice touch and it gave my instagram photos that little extra touch lol. I appreciate the small details. The blueberry mojito was amazing I got my absolute favorite roast chicken Creamed spinach , au gratin and mashed potato were all delicious. I want to shout out Becky, Cassidy & Keith for all being so kind and attentive. Quality service overall will definitely be back and recommend to everyone I know.

Daniel L.

Yelp
Went there today 02/19/24 with my wife, we got the porterhouse steak for two and it came out awesome. It was the most juiciest steak I have ever had and we definitely can't wait to go back again. It is definitely worth the price.. the service was excellent and we had a wonderful waitress.

Yelp
I dropped by this place after walking around Assembly Row. The restaurant had a nice outdoor patio underneath the arch of the Partners building. I ordered the Ruth's Classics prix fixe meal for $59. I got the caesar salad as an app, steak and shrimp as the entree, and creamed spinach as the accompanying side. The caesar salad consisted of romaine lettuce, croutons, shaved parmesan cheese and caesar dressing. It was spot on and delicious. As always, the medium rare steak never disappoints. The 6 ounce filet was warm and buttery on a sizzling plate. The creamed spinach was great as well. For dessert, I got the bread pudding with raisins, whisky sauce and fresh strawberries. Thumbs up!

Yelp
Had a fantastic evening at Ruth's Chris in Somerville Saturday night. My fiancée and I sat at the bar and enjoyed their delicious lobster mac and cheese/goat cheese and artichoke dip/lobster bisque and wedge salad. Alex made amazing martinis with attentive service and a wonderful personality. All of the bartenders worked together to be sure everyone was attended to. An added plus was a visit from Keith the Manager who clearly knows how to make you feel all the comforts of his beautiful restaurant with his attention to detail and welcoming manner. We plan on having many more visits in the near future!

Yelp
Hate to say I was underwhelmed with my latest trip to this Ruth Chris. Upon walking in the door I walked upon 2 maitre-d arguing in the reception area while a manager stood there and did not diffuse it. Our waitress was poor. Took 12 min to offer us bread. Drinks were served not at same time. Our appetizers were Cesar salad which was excellent and a lobster bisque which was horrible. Sherry was not burned off and was like warm with no lobster in it as the description said so. Worst part is they bring it out in this massive bowl and there is nothing in it. Maybe a 1/4 cup worth of soup . The steaks were decent. A filet that was butterflied thinner and cowboy rib eye. Both were over cooked. Sides were mashed potatoes and sweet potato. For a steak house this was incredibly underwhelming and would prefer spending money in a mom and pop type place then blowing $300 on a sub par meal for 2

Yelp
Ate here last night. Just background on me. I want to go to every Ruth's Chris in the world. This is number 39. The place is very cute inside. I like how the tables and chairs are set up ambience: five stars. I told my waiter, Mike, that I want to go to every Ruth's Chris in the world, and that they were number 39 and the manager Nico offered me a free appetizer, but besides that he went above and beyond because my man wanted to try the Armagnac. And Nico came out with the bottle. gave my man a little taste along with a lot of education on distillery. The food was amazing. So far this is my favorite Ruth's Chris. I highly recommend.

Yelp
This place got 1 star only because the waitress was so nice everything else was strait garbage our bellys were so sick when we left i didnt take any pictures just wanted to leave my wifes steak was actually gray my kids filets both sent back 3 times no lie sides got cold the best part of the meal was the salads this place was terrible we have eaten at the boston location many times food was always good this one was terrible the waitress was very good and attentive after removing the steaks the bill was still almost 200 dollars for 2 salads a salty chicken breast and a couple tasteless sides

Yelp
it's a beautiful day !Delicious meal! And I'll comeback again. The restaurant is nearby the subway named Assemble station

Yelp
I had the pleasure to have dinner last night with the wife and my sister and her husband for the first time at this establishment. Everything from food to service to Ambience was great. Everyone loved their steaks and the sides that came with the food. The waitress was very friendly and very polite at all times. I can't wait to go back again. Thank you.

Yelp
Perfect place for a fancy date night out! I've been to their location in Boston and I like this location's ambiance a lot more with the open dining room concept and classical music playing in the background. Parking is also easier since it's right in the Assembly Square shopping center. I came here during restaurant week and ordered off their dine-out menu: Red Lentil Cauliflower Soup If you like curry, you'd like this soup. It's very flavorful with just the right amount of heat from the curry powder. Perfect for dipping the bread in! 12 oz New York Strip One of the best steaks I have ever had! The steak was perfectly seared on the outside and cooked to medium rare on the inside. It was well seasoned as well. I'm salivating just thinking about it! Creamed Spinach Great accompaniment to the steak. The spinach was very much cooked down so it had a creamy consistency. Warm Bread Pudding with Whiskey Cream Sauce Well balanced dessert with the sweetness of the whiskey cream sauce and the tartness of the berries. Worked well with the warm bread pudding. Overall, the food was fantastic! The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the service was somewhat slow (i.e.. it took 15 minutes after sitting down before we got a waitstaff).

John T.

Yelp
Went tonight, early Valentines dinner! Kim was our server. Kitchen was really slow but lots of people don't want to work anymore. Got the Ruth's Classic. Fixed price 4 coarse meal with some choices. Hostess came to check on us because of the wait. At least got us bread & our drinks. My app was Lobster Bisque. It was amazing! Ribeye was a 16 Oz. Very good, just finished it. Got an Xtra shrimp serving& sald for the wait. Ended with the bread pudding. All around good meal. Just the wait for an issue. I think most places are going through similar issues. It should slowly get better.

Gregg R.

Yelp
I love that they still have amazing food after all these years. They have never gone downhill and I feel like the service is even better. High end for a reason.

Debbi M.

Yelp
Though I would try this restaurant as I've heard it was a good for steak. The interior and atmosphere were very nice. We ordered the lump crab cakes $28 as an appetizer, very good, very flavorful. We had a ceasar salad and a wedge salad. Wedge was very good. The Ceasar was drowned in dressing, which was unfortunate. We both ordered the 11 oz. filet $57 each with au gratin potato for an additional $13. We ordered them cooked medium. One was cooked medium, the other was well done. They were not seasoned in any way or if they were very minimally. The augratin potatoes would have been better without the thick layer of cheese on the top. If that was removed, the cheese sauce they potatoes were in would have been better. The service was excellent. Overall, for the money there are other places you could spend your money and have a better and more flavorful meal.

Jarvis X.

Yelp
The food is not worth the price tag & the manager keith made everyone at the table super uncomfortable & he smelled like boiled eggs.

Caroline O.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was seriously subpar. Took forever for bartender to take our order, didn't come back to tell us they were out of dessert forever. Ar was mostly empty.

Jenny T.

Yelp
Service and food/drinks were incredible! We got the ribeye (our usual at Chris Ruth's) accompanied with the lobster tail for my husband and the crabcake/asparagus for myself as well as the lobster mac and cheese (a hit with our son). We dined in with my husband and 2 yo toddler - the staff was attentive and so sweet from the host, to our waiter, Dan, and the manager onsite stopped by to ask us how our dinner was. Parking is much easier than the Boston location also!

Scott D.

Yelp
If I could I would give this RCSH a negative (-) 5 star rating. ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS service and FOOD! I took my father and my girlfriend for Fathers Day to this location; it also happened to be my father's birthday as well. I made mention of this on Open Table, which I used to book the reservation 1.5 weeks in advance. Additionally they sat us in the bar area and not the dining area - keep in mind we were over-dressed (ie suit, collared shirt, basically bizz casual) Ill list the issues in the order of appearance: 1) Asked for drink order 25+ min into being seated (keep in mind we arrived early for our reservation AND they were at 30% or less capacity- they had more than enough servers to accommodate 90-100%) 2. Ordered apps after the drinks came to the table; crab cakes and my father a chop salad * crab cakes brought in timely manner; no flavor completely dry no remoulade, lemon - nothing * Forgot my fathers salad - which was asked by the replacement server to come out with the crab cakes; confirmed twice *** They literally took an hour to finally bring out the salad - this after lying multiple times that it was 'just about ready' or being 'finished and right out' bullsh*t ****When the salad came out - it was the WRONG salad hahahaha you cant make this up- then they go back take another chunk of time correcting the mistake 3. The steaks were waaayyyy overcooked; girlfriend got hers medium (filet) and it was BUTTERFLIED and cooked medium/well, mine - a t-bone cooked medium/well- asked for it to be simply medium, fathers steak (filet) cooked correctly 4. Sides were overcooked and clearly were made in advance in some sort of conveyor/cafeteria style; potato au gratin and creamed spinach; the baked potato was cooked correctly 5. Dessert - Im told was ok; I did not get anything I was absolutely bullsh*t at that point and just wanted to gtfo of there having not believing how long it was taking and how BAD Ruths Chris ABSOLUTELY RUINED my fathers bday and Fathers Day*** ice cream apparently had frozen crystals - meaning it was old and over frozen The ABSOLUTE worst part is that the couple in front of us were seated way after us, got a similar meal, paid and were out the door before us- the couple and their kid(s) also seated after us and were attended to and got out of there before us --- WTF! Reservation was at 3pm, we arrived early, they seated us (because they were super under capacity) and as stated seated in the bar-area (ummm why not the dining area?) we did not leave with all the above in mind and after waiting AGAIN to pay the bill until just before 6pm- I mean I love my dad, but 3hrs??? Bill was for $349 - yes I left a 20% tip like an ass^ole because the 5th server that served us was absolutely a star - she was phenomenal, welcoming and hopefully took all the tip and gave nothing to the others. Never again - Ruths Chris: see-ya bye. Humble brag or not I spend a good portion of disposable income in restaurants and I will not EVER GO HERE OR ANY RUTHS CHRIS AGAIN.

Priscilla T.

Yelp
Delicious meal and drinks! We went there for our 4th anniversary, and from start to finish it was great. Hostess congratulated us, followed by seating at a very private and comfortable spot. Our waiter, Ken was great! Great service, great etiquette, super nice guy! Food was perfect, steaks cooked to perfection, drinks were yummy and we even got a nice complementary dessert for our celebration!

Jim S.

Yelp
Boy, I love me some steak and I have always thought Ruth's Chris was top-notch. And it continues not to disappoint. My wife and I went last night after a movie to celebrate a new job. From the service to the meal, everything was great. (Although sometimes the waitress disappeared for longer than we might like.) My wife had a glass of prosecco and I had a 9-oz Chardonnay that was excellent. (I meant to ask what it was - forgot). For an appetizer, we had ahi tuna. It was good with pieces of pickled ginger or gari. For a meal, my wife got a filet with a bleu cheese crust, pronounced excellent. I got the 22-oz cowboy ribeye medium rare with truffle crust and it was outstanding. Man, that was melt-in-your-mouth good. We also got garlic mashed, skipped veggies, and got mushrooms for the steaks. No dessert because we were too full. Not an inexpensive place. $219 before tip. Great for a celebration, up there with Abe and Louie's and Morton's.

Yelp
We've been to the Boston location a few times, which we love. Today we were at assembly and decided to stop in for dinner. Walked in, sat at the bar, others had recently gotten up and drinks were still there, no issue there of course. However it took about 15mins for someone to acknowledge us, and after clearing the drinks from in front of us, they did not spray down the bar. Menus were dropped and bartender walked away. By the time they made it back to us, we had already picked out beverages, apps and dinner. The bar was about 80% full, I didn't count but from memory I'd say roughly 25 seats. Three bartenders on plus the manager was helping at service bar, not to mention the servers coming in and out of the bar constantly making their own drinks. It was super disorganized, you could tell there's no flow between the staff, no game plan, just everyone running around with tunnel vision. The gentleman who took our order was definitely on something. He wrote our order down, had us repeat it back then he himself repeated it back to us and still somehow had it wrong. I'm not sure how that can happen, but it did. I asked him for a coke and he served it with about a quarter of the glass already empty. Now yes, refills are free, but that's not the point. The point is, how do you serve someone a beverage with so much room left in the glass? See picture for reference. No straws were given. There was a caddy in front of us that was low on straws and napkins, others around the bar were just empty. Now yes, we obviously reached for our own straws, but the point I'm making is when you go out for dinner, you do so to enjoy a meal prepared and served by somebody else. Even moreso when you're going somewhere that's more high end. Food was ok which we were also surprised by as again, we love the Boston location, have never had a bad experience there. Our steaks were cooked properly but had no flavor. The Brussels sprouts were undercooked and hard, the loaded baked potato had not a single pinch of salt or any seasoning. I had forgotten to ask for bernaise sauce for my steak (my fault, no doubt) so I waited for one of the bartenders to check on us so I could order it. No one ever did. Our dinners were also dropped off, yet we had no silverware as the bartender who cleared our appetizer dishes did not replace any. He also never set us up with triangle napkins as other guests had around us. So we stared at our food for about 5 minutes before we could get one of them to come over and give us silverware. We also noticed that the surface where they kept their salt/sugar rimmer is also where they dumped dirty glassware and shakers. So any time a dirty item was put down next to it and droplets were flying, some were landing in the salt and sugar.... which then were getting rimmed onto new drinks, spreading all those germs. NASTY! We are so disappointed as we absolutely love Ruth's Chris and look forward to every visit. We understand ever since covid, good help is hard to find, people don't want to work etc. But I bartended for eleven years in high end and high volume establishments. I, as any seasoned restaurant employee, know a disaster when I see one. The staff seriously needs to go over steps of service, zoning, organization, sanitation and teamwork. I very rarely tip less than 20% and genuinely feel guilty for doing so, but this was just that bad. If you want the full experience, go into the city. Assembly location was a huge leftdown.

Greg D.

Yelp
Very disappointed in a recent trip here. The service was extremely bad. I sat at the bar. Took approximately 10 minutes to acknowledge me "I'll be right with you" and then another ten to actually come over and take my drink order and bring a food menu. I had a Diet Coke you'd think that would be quick to bring over? You'd be wrong. Another long wait to take my food order. You get the picture it went like that. It wasn't that busy. The bar wasn't full nor was the restaurant. There *appeared* to be two bartenders but only one actually seemed to be working. The other literally never left, never once, a small corner of the bar on the other side of the bar from me which may have been the service area. Later, they brought over other people to help at the bar, it seemed, but they were completely useless and didn't acknowledge many customers. The couple next to me were extremely frustrated by the service as it seemed everyone there was. Don't understand the issue. It wasn't swamped. The food itself? Mediocre. Not terrible but not worthy of the prices. I had the NY Strip. I ordered it medium but was more well done than that. It wasn't anything to write home about. A side of au gratin potatoes were just okay. I had always heard good things about Ruth Chris' but I can't recall if I have ever been to one. If so it was years ago, but always thought it had a good reputation. After this experience very doubtful I'd return. I wish this experience had gone better.

Richard K.

Yelp
I hosted a luncheon here this Saturday for 29 vaccinated guests for a small celebration. From my initial email, Kandis, the private event coordinator was responsive, friendly and helpful. The day of the event everyone was so pleasant and efficient. We were also so appreciative that the servers were masks, it helped put us at ease. The food and ambiance were great but it was really the servers, bartender and manager who made the day so enjoyable. Impeccable service. I highly suggest this location for a private event.

Jeannette M.

Yelp
The service was wonderful. Currently they do have a seating policy of 90min. I don't ever remember going to a steak house that I'll be out the door at 90min, but with the pandemic we do what we must right? Overall, the food was delicious and actually pretty quick. The steak was cooked to perfection how I like it. If you like your steak buttery and salty this is the place if not then well skip the steak and go with the crab cakes because they are loaded with crab meat and no fillers.

Carline O.

Yelp
Dine out Boston was approaching, and I told my staff that we would go. I hyped it so much that they couldn't wait. I've been going there for the last 10 years and have gotten bad service once. I absolutely love this place, but that night was absolutely embarrassing. I waited about a week before posting, so I have a clear mind and am not reviewing out of emotions. We got there and sat down; we waited a good while before I had to ask another waitress who our waitress was. She found her, Amanda, was her name. Amanda took our drink and appetizer orders and then disappeared. Our appetizers came, we ate and still no drinks. I spent the night looking for Amanda. Waters didn't get refilled, no other drink orders, and waiting to get our food orders. Needless to say that all the hype about Ruth Chris was out the window by now. The manager on site who was making the rounds tried his best to make us feel good, but it was too late. Fast forward to 2.5 hours later, we're ready to go and ordered some food to go. First, we were told we couldn't order a second meal to eat at the table from the Dine Out menu, then we also couldn't order it to go, so we ordered outside of the menu. Our take-home bags came and, upon inspection, discovered that we didn't get 2 of the items that were ordered. When that was brought to Amanda's attention, she insisted on inspecting the bags to make sure we were telling the truth. How ambarassing??? What? So she thought we stole the items and wanted Ruth Chris to replace them so we can have more? We couldn't pay for these items??? How dared she in front of my staff??? Really??? So needless to say that my team, who was new there, voiced that they won't come back and who can blame them? Very disappointed, Ruth Chris.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
First off I love how Ruth's Chris always puts confetti on the table for birthdays and anniversaries. We split a ceasar salad as an app (we weren't really impressed by appetizer menu), then I ordered the filet, and my partner got the rib eye. We got mashed potatoes, lobster mac and asparagus for the table. My filet came out very undercooked .. I asked for medium well which is just SLIGHTLY pink. My filet was blood red. I sent it back for a few more minutes on the grille and it came back again still red but I was starving so just ate the edges and heated up the rest at home. Garlic mashed is so good! Service was amazing as always. And we got a free dessert because it was our anniversary. Overall a good experience, only complaint was my filet too rare.

Tim R.

Yelp
Lobster bisque gets a big NO from me, way too much sherry. However; The Filet, the Caesar salad, the Chopped Salad are all excellent and worth a try. The asparagus received a mixed review from our party. The service was excellent and friendly.

Yelp
This is my first worst worst experience to reserve a birthday party at this restaurant in Somerville. The host told me if I would like to a private room they will past my information to the event coordinator in order to reserve the private area. We thought if we don't move forward with the room and they will put us in the dining area. But 2 days after i called them, they said they don't have anything for us because our reservation never made and that's our fault bc we don't have a private room anymore. They said the room can fit up to 20 ppl and there is min charge of 1500 plus taxes, tips and some fees not sure what it is. I remembered i told them our parties are only 12-14ppl, how can we spend 1500. I called the restaurant they said nothing do with the host since my reservation never made. Nothing they can do so they don't want to deal with this problem anymore. To be honest, I strongly recommend anyone don't ever try to go to this restaurant or reserve for the private party unless you make sure you will spend close 2000, other than that, do not consider it, just in case you will have this bad experience like me. LITERALLY NOT WORTH your time!

Yelp
Cute spot for a date night delicious drinks stake was good. My husband asked for his "medium well +" the waiter gave the suggestion to order it that way so it would be close to well with out being dry, it still came out too pink but he ate it for leftovers the next day after cooking in the oven.

Yelp
Had the best night here with my girls! Derrick was a fantastic waiter and kept the drinks and bread going. Our food was cooked perfect which is rare when you order 4 differed steaks. Spicy shrimp and side of mushrooms were memorable. Thanks for taking great care of us Derrick! We'll be back :) ...4 stars given cause the Sangria was just ok and I wish they had a better selection of appetizers offered.

Yelp
I went with my Husband over the weekend for our Anniversary. They brought us to a nice table, a little dark but cute with Happy Anniversary scatted on the table. Our server was very nice and attentive. My Husband's drinks were not the best, basically flat (Tito's and Soda with a splash of Cranberry) maybe the soda gun was broken or it ran out of gas). I had Chardonnay, but no clue of the name of it. We both had the fixed menu which includes an Appetizer, Entree and Dessert. I had the Cesar Salad for an entree, delicious, then Steak and Lobster Entree. the Steak was wonderful and perfectly cooked the Lobster on the other hand was over done (it could have been pulled off the grill two minutes early, because you know it continued to cook under the lights while it waited for the server to get it to be served, but it was edible soaked in lots of butter (so not to ruin the dinner, I ate it anyway). My husband got the Lobster Bisque for an Appetizer and said it was delicious. He got the Steak and Shrimp for the Entree, which he loved. The Desserts were amazing, Chocolate Sin Cake and Cheese Cake. Only complaint on the Desserts is, I wish I was told there was a Raspberry drizzle on the plate as I am allergic.

Yelp
Horrible service- kitchen has no idea what they're serving! Steak over cooked. Staff under trained. Never eat here! Ice chips in the ice cream. Salads that take over an hour. Filets get butterflied when ordered medium. Potato au gratin is fake cheddar floating on hash browns. Drinks never get refilled. Confetti is thrown at you if it's your birthday not placed on the table prior to arrival.

Yelp
Let me begin by saying that the waitstaff was great! We had a filet that was cooked to perfection. The chopped salad was divine. The Caesar Salad was terrific. The grilled asparagus was charred and inedible; tasted like burnt hair! The Lobster Bisque was awful and practically inedible - way too much sherry - so much so that we were unable to taste any Lobster. In all, this meal could have been one of the finest ever had in the Boston area. Unfortunately, it was not.

Yelp
Did not have a good experience here at Ruth Chris Steakhouse. Our server at 6:30pm March 29, 2021 bar side was rude and thoughtless. He lacked bedside mannerism that are required for the service industry. When asked if there were any recommended options other than steak, he stated that " you are at a steakhouse." He frequently spoke to us without looking at us or while doing something else requiring us to turn to listen to him. It was as if we were inconveniencing him by being in the restaurant. I wouldn't recommend coming to this steakhouse when this server is present. Otherwise, the food is as expected from a ruth chris steakhouse. we had only a couple apps since we didn't want to be in the restaurant any longer than we had to and then dined somewhere else for dinner.

Yelp
We went for a birthday dinner for my husband. We went early and it wasn't crowded at all. Our server was very nice. My husband ordered his steak medium rare and it came out well done. My steak was ordered medium and came out well done. The filet was well done and like a hockey puck. The 4th meal was also burned. We felt bad sending back all 4 dinners and weren't sure what to do... My husband was so disappointed, but ate his well done steak anyway. They forgot our salad. Sides were ok. They didn't even bring a birthday dessert or anything, even though they put birthday confetti on the table when we were seated. This was an extremely expensive and disappointing meal. We will not return.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Ruth Chris in Somerville to celebrate our wedding anniversary this past Friday night. I can't remember ever having a better restaurant experience. Every person we interacted with was Absolutely Wonderful - from Serge, the manager, who made sure we had the most special experience, to Venaezia, our server who was both wildly skilled and fun, to each of the three people working the front desk. And it says a lot to start this review with the amazing staff experience when the food was just Perfect. To top it all off, they served us a delicious cheesecake for dessert in celebration of our anniversary. No question, we'll be back. Thank you, everyone!!!

Yelp
I wanted a nice dinner with my fiancé, so I splurged for Ruth Chris and got severe food poisoning. I called to report this issue and they did not take it seriously. Save your money; leave a glass of milk on the counter overnight, then drink it and you'll get the Ruth Chris experience for free!

Yelp
Food and service were exceptional. The hostess cheerfully greeted us wished my husband a happy birthday. She asked if he was turning 21, which made his day. The table was decorated with birthday confetti. We ordered the prix fixe dinner, and filet mignon was so delicious, tender and cooked just right. My husband received a free birthday cheesecake with a candle and the words "Happy Birthday" written on the plate in chocolate.

Yelp
Excellent experience! Everything was great, From the food, the service, the ambiance. Cute place for a date night or just a fancy night out. Highly recommended!

Yelp
The food was delicious. The hostesses and the server did not look or act professional. Put a damper on the experience, especially when you are paying for a high end restaurant.

Yelp
I would normally chalk it up to a bad night, but I had two in a row. Everything was just OK. Perhaps it's the pandemic, but the Ruth Chris by me in Somerville has gone a notch. In fairness I do have high expectations for a Ruth Chris.

Yelp
We are staying at the Courtyard. We ordered delivery of a variety of items. The filet, lobster bisque, potatoes au gratin, lobster Mac, and the steak sandwich. Everything was wonderful and the meat was prepared exactly as we ordered. The lobster Mac and cheese is great. You must eat this.

Yelp
Giving four stars for the service. It's gross pandemic era now where everyone is short staffed. I'm in retail and I get it. That's not why I'm giving 3 stars. Our experience started w a long wait. We put our drinks in and we waited a long time for waters, drinks and bread. (Waiter/server mentioned bread, we did not ask for it.) We ordered shrimp cocktail. (This where if I reviewed immediately, I would have given ZERO stars) Shrimp was not fresh. You could smell it. And the kicker, they served w a thin lime wedge. You cannot charge premium prices for a sub par shrimp cocktail w lime, come on? I don't know if the fish smell bothered me more or lime. Then, our food came in and the steak was okay. Mine was slightly over cooked. My husbands was great! The manager, a very nice woman with dark wavy hair, asked us how our food was etc, she was so nice, we did not have heart to tell her the truth. Then, we got to know our waiter/server. I wish I remembered his name. He truly saved the night and made up for the sub par food. I really would have rated 1 star. I'm giving 3 stars for the gentleman's service. He mentioned that he worked in Aspen before and how two drinks in the high altitude was enough, lol. We ordered creme brûlée, and it did not have solid caramel crust. It was brown granulated sugar. But our waiter's service made up for it. It must have been an off night. Our bill was Abe and Louie/Boston Chops caliber but the food was poor. Out waiter made up for it. ‍
