"If you’d rather sit down somewhere with your shawarma, head to Ruzana. You’ll also order at a counter here, but they have cushioned seating inside, and a covered outdoor dining structure. Behind the counter, you can see a chef in the corner kneading dough, stuffing grape leaves, and making fresh batches of hummus, whipped to airy perfection. Take a friend so you can also order a mansaf platter with fluffy rice and tangy yogurt-covered lamb, or some freshly fried falafels with still-crispy crusts. " - neha talreja

"At this Palestinian restaurant in Bay Ridge, your shawarma might take longer to come out than you’d expect from a casual counter spot. That’s because Ruzana takes great pains to make food that feels truly handmade. You can see a chef in the corner kneading dough, stuffing grape leaves, and making fresh batches of hummus, whipped to airy perfection. We love to take the juicy chicken shawarma wraps to-go, but if you have time to dig into a mansaf platter, grab a spot on a cushioned bench or in the outdoor dining structure. Enjoy some freshly fried falafels while their crusts are still crisp, too. Palestinian pride is strong here: there are keffiyehs draped over the chairs, and the stone counter extends into a structure that resembles stone homes in the region, with a thatched roof and fake wooden doors. photo credit: Kate Previte Food Rundown photo credit: Kate Previte Chicken Shawarma Sandwich The chicken is juicy, and you can smell the garlic—both in the marinade and in the white sauce—throughout the store. Mansaf Platter The thin, fermented yogurt sauce that clings to the lamb in this dish is incredibly salty and tangy, like goat cheese that’s maximized its potential. The dish is traditionally served on a platter topped with a flatbread, but Ruzana will sometimes skip the flatbread unless you ask for it. (Ask for it.) Falafel Platter Their handmade falafels are light, crispy, and extremely moist on the inside. Get them in a sandwich or on the falafel platter, which comes with creamy hummus, tahini salad, and your choice of fluffy rice or lightly spiced fries." - Neha Talreja

Been back here 3x in 2 weeks. As a restaurant owner myself, i can say this food is fresh and consistent. Get a mixed grill to share, it’ll have every kind of meat on there and you’ll be able to see which your favorites are. I will be back probably once a week!

The restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. It is on 85th Street near 5th Avenue. The Palestinian food is similar to other Mediterranean food. I ordered the Vegetable Sambousek. They were small triangular-shaped dough filled with vegetables and some spices. The Qudsia is a cold appetizer that is a combination of hummus and beans. The Musakhan was similar to a,chicken wrap. It was generous in size. The food had a nice taste. Friendly staff in the restaurant. The bill was confusing because the prices on the web site are different than in the restaurant.

The food is absolutely phenomenal, the taste is 10/10, all the meats were so tender and juicy, The portions are very good. The restaurant decor is beautiful and the people working are also kind, they accommodated to all our allergy requests. I will for sure be back here

Wow, what a hidden gem!! As a Palestinian American, it's rare to find authentic good Palestinian food, so when I come across this wonderful restaurant, I was fortunate! First of all, the ambience is so cute and charming with some tables inside and outside. They do lots of take out and catering-tells you how good the food and service is! Abdel-Rahman was so professional, friendly and accommodating. He answered all my questions and the chef was so friendly and handled all my allergy requests like a professional! Everything came out of the kitchen with love and amazing presentation. So much detail to spices and taste to ensure perfection. They don't take shortcuts and focus on quality and flavor. This will now be our regular place for Palestinian food and also just a wonderful place for veggie options for me. Plenty of meat and seafood dishes as well that look so delicious. Ruzana is authentic and as close as it gets to how my mom cooks. Super clean establishment with charm in every corner. Thank you chef and Abdul-Rahman! See later this week!

Instead of salad, they served pickles skin? The coleslaw was 100% rotten we ended up tossing it, the fries were not spiced (with paprika or whatever they usually have), and the shawarma itself tasted bad. This has been my go to spot for Shawarma Araby for years and I’m still going to be ordering from here. However, I thought I should mention that the last two times I got Shawarma Araby from here were pretty disappointing.

Google
Worst beef shawarma i have ever had in my entire life , sauce expired , shawarma not well done , not tasty at all. The cashier had an attitude also. Never Again , not sure if their food every day is bad but today wS the worst 😕

Google
The food portions are generous. The sauces are really good. It’s definitely worth it for the price. Get the platter!

I never thought shawarma could be so delicious. We were a party of ten with a few children. Ordered lots of food and almost everything was super delicious. Staff were very friendly, and it was a cozy environment.

Yelp
We were in the mood for middle eastern/palestinian food and decided to give this a try as there was a wait for ayat. This place felt incredibly authentic and had very cute/homey decor! Things to pay attention to: our order ended up getting a bit lost in translation and we got triple the amount of dishes we thought we ordered. Ask to check the receipt because they only give it to you at the end even though ordering is done at the register. Highlights: kiffeh - fresh, crispy, flavorful. Hummus- thicccccc and creamy! Other things we got: schwarma plate - decent but don't know if I'd crave it. Portions were huge though Beef rolls (I forgot what it's called) - again pretty good but don't know if I'd crave it/go back for it Overall minus the hiccup it was good food and had a cute authentic ambiance. Wish we could've tried the kebab plates we later canceled bc we had too much food by that point :')

Yelp
- chicken schwarma is good - portions are double to that which a hungry single person can eat - fries are different tasting and delcious - the slaw is a good side the the schwarma - I would not recommend arabic coffee delivery it settles and gets bitter in the end

Yelp
I came to get some supplies for my dog at the pet store on 5th and 84th. I parked on 85th and made note of the restaurant a few feet away. I see SHAWARMA! I love shawarma! On my way back I put my dog in the car and I'm starring, I decided to go in. It was early and no one there yet. Spotless! Which is nice to see in any restaurant. I ordered two chicken shawarma sandwiches. They put their garlic sauce on it along with a pickle on Bedouin bread. The sandwich looked like a foot long! Bedouin bread is a thin flat bread perfect for holding any filling without filling you up on bread. I loved this shawarma sandwich and next time I'll try a few other items on their menu. They deliver in the neighborhood but I will be driving up. There are tables to sit and dine. The young man at the register was polite and accommodating. Go eat at Ruzana and enjoy!

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise. It was an incredible falafel sandwich. I love how homemade it tasted. The vibe was great. Let them take their time and make the item you want, they are doing great work on it. Go here. You will be happy.

Yelp
Saw this place pop up in my Yelp businesses updates email on friday and be came quite curious about the Chicken Musakhan that was featured. So that evening I found Ruzana on Grub Hub and orderd it. This was the first time I had this dish and I love getting to try something now. It was on the bone chicken with Carmelized Onions,Sumac and lots of other wonderful Middle Eastern Spices, topped with slivered almonds on this fluffy flatbread called Taboon. It is a beloved dish of Palestine and I can see why,the chicken was perfectly cooked and the sweeness of the onions mingled magically with the spices and the crunch of the almonds added texture. The Taboon was soaked in the juices and crispy on the edges and soft and fluffy in middle. The only hiccup was the place doesnt use Grub Hub drivers and I was unable to track (which sets off my OCD), after several minutes past last expected arrival I called restaurant to see if it had left and the lady was having a hard time understanding, asking me if I wanted to order and then saying no order had been placed with my name. I asked again are you sure and gave my address no no orders was her reply. Just as I was about to figure out how to get my money back from Grubhub the delivery guy showed up. So that was a bit of unnecesary stress I will chalk up to a miscommunication tho I may decide to dine in next time to avoid this issue.

Yelp
This place is such a cozy lil hole-in-the-wall restaurant that if you're not looking for it, you'll walk right past it. But make no mistake, this place is a true gem. The food is divine and the service is amazing. Strongly recommend the lamb kebab platter and the hummus. I wish I could give them 10 stars.

Umm A.

Yelp
The best mansaf I have tasted so far. It is small but theirs food is awesome. The service is great.

Grace M.

Yelp
Amaaaazing, delicious food, and wonderful service!! we ordered the lamb kebab platter, Arabic meat shawarma platter, baba ganoush, grape leaves! So fresh, flavorful, and delicious!! LOVED the white sauce it came with! The service was great--they were all so sweet and kind! Can't wait to come back!! Thank you so much! !!!

sarah y.

Yelp
Chicken Shawarma was delicious and I loved the white sauce that came with it. Inside the restaurant looked cute and they have nice outdoor seating. Only thing I would say is that the service was a little bit slow.

Waleed E.

Yelp
Casual sit down restaurant. Food is so fresh and delicious. Everything is very well seasoned. Rice is fluffy. One of the better falafels I've had. Chicken tender and juicy. I can't say how much I enjoyed this meal. The price is very reasonable as well. If you want Palestinian/middle eastern food give them a shot.

Jake C.

Yelp
Food is excellent, some items on the menu first time I've seen in New York. Really fresh, great prices, nice staff, highly recommend eating there. Really love this place. Btw ignore the other idiot reviews where they were staying the staff was looking at them weird ect. Im Not Arabic Im Not Muslim, the staff was super nice and accommodating. What you give is what you get- so your probably the problem. Go and enjoy the food

Sufora S.

Yelp
The kefta kabob sandwich is the BEST here. The presentation was pleasing. I get this one every time my and it never disappoints. My friend got the lamb kabob sandwich which was good but not as good as the kefta one. The fries were a good portion and came in those cute metal baskets. Good seasoning and size. Everything was great food wise. Service was good too. You pay after btw. The ambiance was calming but cold! They need a heater and should shut the door in chilly weather. Other than that. I would recommend and definitely will continue to stop by for both dine in and take out.

Liliya S.

Yelp
Great experience! Lovely people, amazing food - highly recommended when you're on this side of town.

Christine A.

Yelp
Ample servings of fresh food. Lots of meat. Great salads. We had a kebab and it was huge. Well spiced and cooked to order. We had the labneh and that was fresh and huge. The service is good. The guy behind the counter was friendly and fast. They have a number of tables inside and out. Unfortunately, too cold to sit outside. You get a lot of bang for your buck here. I wish they had better fries and better hot sauce (right now no middle eastern version, just American). Also, when we first sat down, no one was there. But then people came in were not social distancing or wearing masks, so maybe it's best to take out here.

Reham M.

Yelp
This place is a gem! Food there is sooo tasty and the portions are big that you will most likely end up taking leftovers home (also a plus not to cook the next day!) Prices are very reasonable and honestly with food that good, other places would charge you waaaay more. I went there with my family and a small group of friends and we ordered a bunch of stuff ( Shawarma platter, Mansaf platter, burger and fries, Msakhan and stuffed grape leaves) and some appetizers salad, hummus and fries, Tabbouleh. Everything I tried was good and tasty, staff were very welcoming and friendly. On a side note, we noticed they were packing a huge order to go and out of curiosity we asked and came to know that they cater events and parties and that order was a stuffed lamb! It looked huge Highly recommend the place, a must try if you ever were in bay ridge area, Brooklyn.

Alishbah S.

Yelp
Beautiful decor and ambiance. very cozy and traditional. They also have the cutest little kitty named Simba, so precious. Loved almost everything, and the presentation was beautiful as well. Everything was very fresh, too. Their white sauce was delicious, garlicky and creamy but not too over powering. However, the plates they gave were very small and hard to eat on. They were thin and rectangular. The hummus could've been better and creamier, it was a bit sour. The lamb in the shawarma also had a strong flavor, and the molokhia I was notna fan off.

Alan S.

Yelp
4 star food, 1 star off for the fact that no one in the kitchen was wearing a mask, and I had to ask our server specifically to wear one as a well. Safety is safety, regardless of food quality! The babaganoush was my favorite - drenched in olive oil with spices laden on top. Paired equally well with the complimentary pita as well as the French fries that come with most of the platters. The Arabic falafel plater was not bad - the flavor of the falafel patties did not "wow" me to be honest, although dipping in the fresh hummus, served with a few pieces of whole chickpeas still present, partially made up for it.

Yesamin M.

Yelp
The food was very good Service was amazing, The vibes were nice they have a cute cat I got the mansaf it was a little spur to my taste but would def get again

Poppy B.

Yelp
The 1. Hummus is delish A+ to bad the pita bread is old and dry. The counter dude can work on his attitude shushing a customer Mid sentence not cool.

Cindy N.

Yelp
This is my go-to spot. I probably order 1-2 times a month at least! The portions are great, the taste is amazing, and I live for the garlic sauce. They always go above and beyond, both for delivery orders and in person. I've eaten more here than any other restaurant in Brooklyn since I moved here a few years ago! I'm actually not a huge fan of lamb and tend to avoid eating it but the lamb here is so juicy and tender! Their salmon kebab is really great too. I usually order the mixed platter and salmon kebab, it lasts me 2-3 days too with the portion. If I feel like spoiling myself, I'll get baklava as well! I've tried their cheese pie and sambousek as well, and they're great. I recently got to try their labneh AND IT'S AMAZING!! Please try it, it's a great addition to any meal. I like to dip my sambousek in it, haha. I hope I can try more of the things on the menu, but it's really hard when your go-to meal is literally perfect. It's the most comforting meal I've had.

Mohammed ..

Yelp
New management has changed this place for the better. Some of the best Middle Eastern food. I got simple, clean menu. Nice store, good service and people. Definitely a must-use catering service option as well

Chunjai K.

Yelp
This restaurant looks like the place that local people come to eat. The place has nice decoration and seats outside which is good. For the food you have to go inside to order then you pick any seat you want to sit. For drinks is also the same, there is a refrigerator, and you go get water or soda. They will bring to food to your table then you can enjoy the food. I have a popular Shawarma with chicken and lamb, taste good and I also like the salad with fresh Drill. I wish they have desert, but they don't.

Sam S.

Yelp
So I came here based off one of the prominent Instagram page reviews for halal restaurants- halalnyc I believe. I came here with my husband around 7pm on a Monday. It was not crowded at all- empty almost and clean. We ordered a mixed grill, and a small lamb/beef taco thing. The taco thing looked old, not fresh. But we only ordered one to try and gave it a shot. It tasted like nothing. But also bad. Not fresh and the sauce on the side didn't help its cause. We were disappointed as we had high hopes... so we waited for the mixed grill not expecting anything good. When the mixed grill came out we were surprised as it was ascetically pleasing, and it looked hot although there was no fragrance. Unfortunately, it was the most tasteless mixed grill I have ever had, no flavor. A few minutes in the rice was cold- so you could tell the rice was not fresh just heated. The meat was cold a few minutes in and we are pretty sure the chicken Adana in the platter was expired as it had a weird sour taste. The best meat- or what seemed to be the most fresh- was the chicken kebab meat. It was good as it was hot and a few minutes in the mixed grill started to taste bad. We ended up eating most of it anyways since we paid for it, plus we are dieting and only allowed ourselves to have this as a cheat meal. We only had breakfast that day. I wouldn't recommend this place or come here again.

Iffath C.

Yelp
Let me put you on to Palestinian eats! Ruzana is the spot for their Shawarma hummus and I opted for chicken. Ruzana's hummus with chicken shawarma, tabboulehhhh salad and labanehhh are great starters. The mixed grill is no joke and you can't leave without having the Mansaf. The platter of rice covered in lamb and sprinkled with snobar added a great crunch to it. The jameed is a yogurt sauce you drench the dish in and it was chefs kiss.

Tatiiana L.

Yelp
The lady who took my order made me feel unwelcome & very uncomfortable. She looked at us as if we were some type of different species of Aliens. I Still decided to stay & tried to make it a better experience since I was hungry & read all these good reviews on this place. I ordered the Shawarma & it was not bad. But my daughters order of french fries with the chicken Kabob took really long & the fries were disgusting. She took a few bites and didn't eat it at all. What made me super upset was how unprofessional the lady in the front here was. Absolutely no customer service skills & it seems as if she was only happy to serve her own kind of people. As a person who deals with customers all day long, this is absolutely unacceptable. I will NOT be returning here.

Lolin L.

Yelp
I'm always down to have a shawarma sandwich. There were a few bad reviews based on their service, I decided I wanted to try anyways. Karam down the avenue is usually my go to shawarma, but always opened to trying new places. It was around 3:30 on a Monday, the place was quite empty, one girl was here waiting for an order it seemed like. I ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich and took a seat, it was around $9. The girl behind the counter brought out the sandwich to me on a paper plate. The sandwich was grilled and came piping hot. Loved how thin and crunchy the wrapping of the sandwich was. Inside was chicken, a pickle? And tahini. In all honesty I thought it was a little salty for my taste. Wasn't bad, I would've like the sandwich itself to maybe have some more veggies but maybe that's not the right way to do it. Would've been a nice balance to the flavors of the chicken though. I do think I prefer Karam, but the space here isn't as tight. Oh and the girl that was waiting for her food told the girl she ordered around 3:15, I was eating my sandwich and it was around 3:45, apparently she didn't get her food yet, and told them to forget it. Strange because the place was literally empty.

Yelp
Ordered rotisserie chicken. Comes with salad bread and rice. Very tasty and clean. Def recommend

Yelp
Walked into a beautiful loving middle eastern restaurant. Tried a variaty of dishes so delicious !!! Their falafel, hummus , pita bread, chicken shawarma and little cookies. I will return again for more !!! God bless this beautiful loving owner she was so sweet and kind hearted. So dedicated and hard working . Thank you so much!

Brian M.

Yelp
First time here and decided to take the plunge after all the great reviews. I need to be honest and say based on what I read I was expecting the food would be much better. Don't get me wrong it was good, it was fresh, just not off the charts. The staff was friendly no complaints. I did not expect table service although they did bring the food over when it was ready. That was a definite plus. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous for their platters. The place is clean and has simple but nice decorations. It is designed more to be a take out place or quick sit down. I probably ordered too much food. I had the chicken swarma sandwich which I had with fries. The fries had seasoning that gave it a barbecue potato chip flavor. I had the small tabuli salad, small spinach pie and Kibbie appetizer. I was not a fan of the Kibbie balls. Overall the food was good although I found some of the dishes to have a more bland seasoning than other Lebanese style restaurants. I would recommend Ruzana for a quick, very informal meal. In the future this would not be my first choice in Bay Ridge although most people will love it.

Mohammed S.

Yelp
Best Shawerma in NY, I've also tried the Falafel wraps and would definitely recommend it.

Michelle T.

Yelp
This is a delivery review. I've ordered from Ruzana a few times now and each time they never disappoint. The food always comes earlier than the estimated time given, which is a huge plus. I absolutely love the chicken shawarma sandwich. Every single time I order, I always ask for extra garlic sauce on the side and they're super nice about including it. Ever since I came back from Dearborn, I've been craving chicken shawarma and this is the closest I've gotten to a solid chicken shawarma sandwich in my neighborhood. Their other items are also really good. We're had the salmon kabab and the mixed shawarma platter. The portions are huge and I'm always stuffed before I can finish.

Irene L.

Yelp
The food here is delicious and the staffs here are hard working and care about the customers. One of the staff was very attentive and checked in on our table- very good service. Prices are reasonable and the food is fresh. They also have outdoor seating and restaurant is on the side streets away from the noise. Arabic Chicken shawarma platter is $10 and comes with cole slaw, pickles, picked vegetables, and fries with spices on it. It is also grilled with a thin bread wrapped on it. They also have white sauce on the side. Fries were crispy and everything came together well. Chicken Adana platter also $10 comes with rice, salad, and pickles. This taste better than the chicken shawarma and the rice it comes with is very fluffy and has the most perfect texture. The chicken adana is grounded meat that is grilled and it was very flavorful. Normally I drizzle white sauce on top but did not need too. Labana- yogurt drizzle with olive oil serve with bread for $ 10 This was good. Ruzanna $8.50 salad was delicious. Chopped tomatoes, lettuce and yogurt dressing. Baba ganoush is around the same price and is equally as good. The only thing i did not like was the Turkish coffee. It was very bitter and the near the end of it, it tasted very muddy. The cup that it was served with is beautiful however one of the cups was chipped. The tray was also very beautiful and i like the ambience of this place. Brooklyn has some wonderful hidden gems.

Sam M.

Yelp
The food at this Palestinian restaurant was masterful. The dishes were presented beautifully, had very fair prices, and more importantly, tasted delicious. The chicken shawarma sandwich was very worth it. It came in a thin pita bread, which was perfect to not fill you up in preparation for the main entree. It also came with a garlic sauce that was addictive. The mansaf was amazing and I recommend this one if you want to try authentic Palestinian food. It was similar to a rice pilaf but every ingredient was elevated as a yogurt sauce was poured on top of it. And the addition of slivered almonds to add crunch was such a great idea. The mixed grill platter was huge, it could probably serve more than 3 people. You couldn't imagine how much leftovers we brought home as we had only 2 people. If you're ever in the bag ridge area, this place is a must-try

May M.

Yelp
Ruzana is a great addition to the neighborhood. Also, a bonus that they are open so late, the halal trucks have a new late night eat competition in town. Ruzana has a good amount of appetizers, seating inside and outside available. The kitchen is open, so expect to smell like food. Family owned, the owner is very nice. The falafel plates here are amazing! I can not gush enough of how tasty and perfectly crunchy they are. Also, the hummus is delicious, which comes with the falafel platter. You can order the hummus for appetizer, but I am very disappointed by how small the portion is (picture uploaded). For about $5, it should be more., great presentation, but I guess quality over quantity. However, in this case I choose quantity. There are other restaurants and stores that sell fresh hummus around here. They are cheaper, just as fresh, and bigger portion. Anyway, enough complaining about how cheap I am. If your like me and want more bang for your buck, get the platters you won't be disappointed. Definitely a perfect restaurant for vegetarians.. The shawarma sandwich is also a solid, satisfying meal. You can get the Arabic style (labeled on menu as such) which includes fries or just the sandwich by itself. However, do yourself a favor and get it with the fries. The fries are well seasoned and perfectly crunchy on the outside. You will not be disappointed you broke your diet.

Yelp
We just moved to Bay Ridge and made our first visit to Ruzana last night. It was splendid-- the food, the vibe, and the friendly, welcoming service. The lamb and kofta platters were perfectly cooked and presented, with generous helpings of delicious sides. We heard the food scene was great in this neighborhood, and it's wonderful to find out how true that is. We look forward to our next meal(s) at this excellent restuarant.

Victor C.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. Thank you for such a good meal (great spot for late night delivery)

Ken W.

Yelp
Ordered the msabbah and musakhan platter today for lunch. The msabbah was quite smooth unlike hummus that I've had before; whole chickpeas were present as I scooped further into the dish. It was the perfect gooey consistency to dip the Arabic bread in; in fact, it reminded me more of babaganoush. The musakhan platter offered an aromatic smell from the roasted chicken. It was extremely soft and moist, as even the white meat was easy to get through. The Arabic bread soaked up all the juices but was still crunchy and a bevy of fried nuts helped in contrasting flavors.

Yelp
Went back again. My husband's call for late night takeout run. Was 10pm on a Saturday night and very busy. But we ordered with ease and waited about 15 minutes for food. Hubby wanted to try their chicken Shawarma Platter which came with rice and salad. Chicken was flavorful like the same as the from the sandwich but shredded. He love the rice as it was perfectly seasoned with the garlic white sauce it was paired perfectly. I wanted to try the kofte which is a minced meat of beef and lamb. A bit dry but good with the white sauce. It brought out more flavor. Mohammed: Thank you for your french fries and falafels for my kids. Your falafels are the best I and my husband ever had. My daughter enjoyed her french fries to very piece. My husband love you for the complimentary quartful of garlic white sauce you offered him. I thought he was crazy even asking you if it was for sale initially. We will see you soon as we still have other good eats on the menu that we have yet tried. Will see you soon. Not to mention pay you back for all the complimentary food you have offered us. Thank you.

Yelp
Got takeout from Ruzana. It's also available on other online platforms If you want to order from here. I got the chicken shawarma platter and my boyfriend got the mixed grill platter. His platter was huge! Both dishes were delicious and flavorful. I got the labana and it was good as well. I would definitely recommend this place for takeouts. They do dine in as well and they have outdoor seating, but it's still a little tight. I would rather get takeout and eat at home comfortably and socially distanced.

Yelp
Ordered takeout at a late time and the quality was impressive! Food was amazing! The quality and taste was as if it was just made and we were eating it straight from the kitchen!

Yelp
I used to love ordering from here they have traditional foods the family loved it. The portions were as advertised and the quality was great. However, lately the portions are ridiculous. The grilled lamb came with 4 pieces!!! That's crazy. I know prices are hiked but this is not enough! I thought it was a fluke the first time, but I ordered again and the rotisserie chicken I bought was cut up and and shoved in those divided trays with a little rice and hummus!! What is this? If this was a food cart on a corner sure! but this is a restaurant and they charge restaurant prices. Also the tabbulah had a stone!!!

Yelp
I love the arabic lamb shawarma platter and that is essentially the only thing I order here because it is so good. The cole slaw and fries that come with it are great; the lamb and the wrap was amazing. The food here is great but I wish they would be a little more attentive and approachable! They can be nice or just sort of iffy in general; I felt I had to ask for attention to get served. Otherwise, the service is fast and the decor is pretty cute too for a counter-service joint. I drop in here if I need a quick bite to eat that is so big, I end up having a little snack to pack for later! You should give this place a try :) instagram.com/mariebonappetit

Yelp
First time ordering from this place. My wife and I love Middle Eastern food. I must say, the food was probably one of the top Middle Eastern places I have ordered from. We both had the same dishes. Chicken Shawerma Platter: Middle eastern specialty assortment of thinly sliced seasoned chicken, with a side of rice or fries, salad, and garlic sauce. Baba Ghanouge: Mashed smokey grilled eggplant blended with tahini, lemon and garlic, served with homemade Arabic bread. The food was amazing and the ingredients were very fresh. The Service is just as good. Delivery took less than 30min.

Yelp
The outdoor seating caught my eye. As soon as I walked in, I definitely did not feel very welcomed. The young lady at the front didn't smile or ask me if I needed help. I really couldn't tell if she just really didn't want to be at work or just didn't like me. But she did definitely turn me off. Feeling welcomed is so so important for new customers. The food was good but the lack of attention to the space, cleanliness and customer service could use some work. There weren't many tables outside, but at least half of the tables had leftover food or napkins on them and the whole hour I was there, no one cared to clean up the tables outside. I would love to come visit again but hopefully next time I can see some cleaner tables and possibly a smile from the workers? :)

Yelp
Honestly best shawarma in bay ridge . Been eating here for some time, it's great food and great service. They sometimes open late during Ramadan and it's great to eat late before the fast. Plus they have beautiful decor. Makes you feel at home!
