This place is family owned for years. My grandparents and my dad used to go here way back when. Most amazing shakes and sandwiches you'll get for cheap! This place is cash only but they do have an ATM inside. Definitely recommend.

The breakfast sandwiches are supposed to be some of the best Cuban ones around. The bread is definitely on point. I didn't get to eat mine because, although I ordered without meat since I don't eat pork, my egg was scrambled with ham so I couldn't eat it. It looked great. The carrot orange juice is amazing and tastes like it had added sugar but doesn't. Must be those Florida oranges. Will go again and give it another shot for sure. The people were friendly and answered questions, etc. Very authentic place and good price point. Will update with pictures when I actually can eat the sandwich. But do go and take a Spanish speaker with you.

Has authentic Cuban dishes like pan con tomate y ajo! Quick and affordable service as well! It's is a small location allowing you to eat standing up or take on the go!

I've been coming here for almost 2 decades already and it's never let me down. 100 percent authentic classic cuban sandwiches and shakes. If you're from Hialeah you know exactly what I'm talking about and if visiting the area and haven't had a real pan con bistec, don't hesitate to give S & N Vegetables AKA EL MEJOR BATIDO a shot. I love it. La cuidad que progresa has little hidden gems throughout the city but I wouldn't so call this hidden. Nothing fancy nor extravagant, just the people and the Cuban atmosphere will give local Hialeah experience with bite worth returning for when lunch time comes knocking on your door. It's located on a busy corner across the street from the McDonald's. You can't miss it. Pan con bistec y un batido de banana coming right up!!!

This place is a hialeah staple. Nestled in a warehouse district, this spot serves authentic Cuban fare. From shakes, croquetas, to a pan con bistec you can find it here. You will not find the best and most innovative food here, but you will leave with a smile. Great flavor, great price, and a very hialeah experience. While you are at it, get a colada....

My best friend raves about the trigo batidos here. I de code my last stop in Miami before heading back north will be this small cafeteria. Fair warning on Yelp it comes out as S & N vegetables, but on Google it comes out as El Mejor Batido De Hialeah. I walked up to la ventanita to pick up my phone order of pan con tortilla, cafe con leche, and carrot juice. I was told to go inside and there was a line of at least six men waiting to order. Fortunately phone orders go right up to the window for pick up, and I didn't have to wait in line. The guy had my order ready and off I went. The pan con tortilla was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. The cuban toast was buttery and the eggs were a fluffy scramble with ham and onions. The coffee was also good but the highlight is the breakfast sandwich.

Friendly staff very fast no seats order and go or stand and eat. Good milkshakes and garlic sandwiches. It's a hole in the wall but it's good food fast.

Delicious. Pan con lechón and pan con pechuga de pollo. Authentic family run sandwich shop. Take out or standing at a counter. We are so glad we remembered a write up they received a few years ago. If you are close to Hialeah Race track don't miss out on this gem. We plan on returning.

This place is absolutely amazing! All their sandwiches and batidos (milkshakes) are to DIE FOR! Don't believe me? TRY THEM ALL! Mango, Leche malteada and Mamey batidos are my favorite! Sandwiches are very well por portioned, great balance in taste, BOLD and stands out in every bite you take. ALL ORDERS are made in no time and all FRESHLY MADE. To order, stand in line and there's usually one guy taking orders manually and ONLY CASH! Orders are called out aloud and before you know it your order will be ready! ENJOY!

Beat Pan con Bistec (Steak sandwich) and Batidos (shakes) in Miami and most affordable. Same people working there since forever. I've literally been coming here for over 20years and it's always the same great quality for cheap! The style is very MIAMI, actually Hialeah. Which is where MIAMI was born in my opinion. No place to sit just order and eat at the counter or take ur food. If you have been here... what are you waiting for?!!! Two steak sandwiches and two batidos $17 bucks!!! Yay!

Really nice little Cuban place featuring a variety of sandwiches and fruit juices and smoothies I got them mum a movie I'm on my way mum a smoothie and I got a special Cuban sandwich which was delicious it was like a regular Cuban sandwich with the addition of I believe pepperoni but they also have many different sandwiches such as a fried fish sandwich and content to you and corn tomatoButter Farah and others I also got one ham one cheese and one chicken enter which are also very good I'll be back

This spot has been around for 35 plus years, staple in Hialeah. Same guy, owner booming out the orders in deep, raspy tone: lechón, Mamey. Bistec, malteada. No place to sit, no problem. Eat on your feet (we did) or take it to go. Whatever you do, don't miss it

Just had their pan con lechon with everything (lettuce, tomatoes, fries and shredded pork of course) along with a cafe con leche. Lechon was on the salty side but extremely flavorful. The place is what you'd call a whole on the wall but their service was good - and my food was hot and tasty. I'll definitely be back to try their other sandwich options and shakes. Can't beat having pan con lechon and cafe con leche for just $4.20! Note: they only accept cash.

A Hialeah staple. A cash-only joint where you stand to eat. The best bang for your buck in town. The best batidos, the best sandwiches, amazing frituritas de bacalao and it's sooo ridiculously cheap. My go-to sandwich is the pan con tortilla with papitas, tomatoes and mayo. You're not from Hialeah if you haven't eaten here ‍

Best value for 'sandwish' in town. Pan con bistec seems to be the way to go, I also tried the medianoche and it was great. Not the biggest sandwiches but a decent size and definitely great value. Batidos and jugos also legit. Seriously take a look at those prices!!

Interested in a real Hialeah experience and a killer sandwich. This is the spot- real deal sandwiches- the Lechon is the way to go (I'm sure everything else it is good- but just haven't tried anything else yet) why would you They have a variety of fresh juices - but this isn't Jamba Juice - it's Hialeah. The "juice" is the fruit milk and ice. I'm pretty darn sure that none of the bread is whole wheat, it ain't kosher, there are plenty of GMO's, nothing is organic, and the sandwich's are packed with msg, gluten, saturated fat and all that other tasty stuff. Today I had my usual here- a banana Shake and a pan con Lechon, NO lechuga!!!! Come here and tell me the sandwich is bad and I'll pay for it- I'll also probably never talk to you about food again.

Love this place I have been a customer for years. Love the pan con bistec and the jugo de melón If your in a rush and in the area stop by for a quick bite! Tips! They only except cash!!! So don't forget your mula!

This place is a diamond in the ruff. I'm from Los Angeles and luckily I stumbled upon this place. This place a lot like others around here very local, rubbing elbows with local workers coming in for lunch. Friendly staff, fast and very inexpensive. Medianoche sandwich and Mamey batido (fruit smoothie) for under 6 bucks! I suggest you order a "batido" it's what Cubans call their shakes or fruit smoothies. Just pick your favorite fruit. Trust me! Mamey is what I suggest. Enjoy, cheers!

This place gets VERY packed, and with good reason. The prices are the cheapest I've seen in any area of Miami for some of the best sandwiches. Highly recommend the extra polivitaminico, the pan con ajo y tomate, and pan con bistec, although I haven't had a single item here I've disliked.

I stumbled upon this place when I got lost in Hialeah...... which can be a great deal traumatizing for a white boy. I'm adequate when it comes to directions, but not in this land north of Okeechobee. The North becomes East, the South becomes West.... and before you know it, you're buying up Mamoncillos, naranja peladas and frozen bottles of ice from the street just to survive.... Hialeah has some great little hidden places. You know about them only because you grew up/ work in the area, word of mouth or you finally mastered the language that's not found on Rosetta Stone..... El Mejor Batido is one of those places. The prices are ridiculous. The juices are fresh and milkshakes very filling. Batido de Mamey, de Guanábana, de Granadilla (Passion Fruit Shake) Mango, Peaches, Watermelon, Coconut, Papaya..... sick! The few times I went I felt I robbed the place with a lunch options under $5.00!..... I've grabbed a Pan con Lechon ($2.10), Pan con Bistec ($3.85), Pan con Croqueta ($2.60), Pan con Chorizo ($2.80) with sides of papas fritas each time.... Standing room only. Grab a counter spot away from the serving area or by the security bar caged windows. Parking is non existent but I've always managed to grab a spot across the street and people are quick to get in, order and move out. Try it.

Miss coming to the restaurant! Used to come when I was younger! Came back on my day off with the wife and was able to bring her to "thee" spot! Best shakes and food hands down!! I go every single Saturday morning. I always get two shakes. One of wheat and the other of cantaloupe. I always get them with milk. I personally think they taste better with then without. For food almost any sandwich is amazing. I've had the simplest which is Cuban bread with tomato and garlic sauce, to the packed pan con bistec. All amazing. The men who work there are very respectful and quick to put your order in. It's not a restaurant it's more of a stand up and eat on the shelf or pick up and go.

Hate to say, but places like this scare me a little. Not only because it's in the middle of Hialeah but because it's literally a tiny cafeteria that hasn't been remodeled since it opened god knows when! Like people always say (and from personal experience), holes in the wall are usually the best. I have to give this place 5 stars (and more if I could) because it really deserves it. When we first got there, there was a few people ordering. It was kind of disorganized since it didn't really have a designated line. Prices are the BEST in town. Nothing costs more than $4. They only take CASH so keep that in mind. No computers so everything is by hand. The owner writes your order on a paper, you pay, and then he screams what you ordered so people in the back can know what to cook (yes, super old school). We had their pan con lechon, pan con bistec, "tres en uno" juice (which is beats, carrots, and orange) and a banana shake. Everyone loved what they got. Would definitely return if in the area again.

I've come here a handful of times, I'm never left disappointed. The jugos/batidos and sandwiches are delicious and cheap. I've ordered the pan con bistec, sandwich de pollo, and pan con lechon; the meat is always juicy and full of flavor and the bread is always fresh. Awesome place.

Just had a pan con bistec @ one of the best authentic Cuban restaurants in town. Their variety of juices and "Batidos" really what makes this hot spot, a traveler's choice when visiting Hialeah!!!

It's a really small place, but service is quick and prices are amazing! I ordered two Chicken Breast Sandwiches, which were very good, and two fresh orange juices - $12.50 for everything - however, cash only so keep that in mind before coming here.

Good variety of natural juices and shakes made with fresh fruits, i also order the chicken breast sandwich it's delicious!! If you are looking for a quick and decent bite at a cheap price its a most!!

I use to come here for fresh carrot/orange juice and a pan con croqueta (before I went vegan). It's the type of place that you have to keep an eye out on who was in line before you because it's on a first come, first serve basis and not very organized. I remember enjoying every bite of food I had from here. Too bad for me I won't here anymore :( but I highly encourage you carnivores to indulge!

One of my favorite spots in Hialeah. I can't even remember my first time here, but I know that I have been coming here since I was little. My favorite sandwich here is the the pan con croqueta and favorite batido is chocolate con trigo (puffed wheat) Not the healthy of places but defiantly makes you happy!

This place is a small hole in the wall that is priceless the food is super cheap but it is very very good and you just can't have enough with one sandwich I usually get to they are so good and the shakes are fresh natural and no preservatives at it I love this place been going there for the last 30 years

Came here because I'm new to this part of town & was yelping for a spot to grab something to eat. Walking in I felt like I was transferred back in time. I followed fellow yelpers advice & ordered a pan con lechón. My nephew ordered the media noche. We also got some croquetas & two batidos de mamey. Let me tell u that sandwich was the juiciest pan con lechón I have ever eaten. It was amazing. So we're the other things we ordered. The place looks like ur in Cuba. The staff is super friendly & sweet. Loved this place. Word of advice, they only accept cash so stop at an ATM before u get there.

This is one of Hialeah's gems. It's also known as "El Mejor Batido de Hialeah"( Hialeah's best milkshake)- and that's not a lie. Go here for lunch, try the watermelon juice; It's freshly prepared, as all their juices and milkshakes are. Please do not come here and ask for a chocolate milkshake, you can get that anywhere. Test the exotic fruits like mamey or mango. Nothing on their sandwich menu exceeds $3.75. They also prepare pan con ajo( garlic bread sandwich), or pan con ajo y tomate(garlic bread and tomato sandwich)- which is usually something you'd only make at home. Basically, if you're not bothered by dirty old Cuban men, and standing at a counter to eat, go here and munch out for under $10. It's a 3rd world country in there, and it's amazing.

I've been coming to this place since I was 5 years old. Now I'm 29 and it has never failed in flavor. It's cash only so before you head out make sure you got your bills ready. As far as batidos, my favorite is the morir soñado. EVERYTHING on their menu is amazing. This is as authentic Cuban/Hialeah you can get. I recommend this place to anyone that wants a delicious pan con bistec. Also, nowhere to sit. You can just lean on the counters and you're good to go.

The only thing i have to say about this place is here you will eat the best pan con bistec in all of Hialeah, hands down! Just come prepared to eat standing up or order to go. They have no chairs, or booths. Every other sandwich here is very good and they have a wide variety of batidos for the most discerning tastes, but the pan con bistec is simply delicious! Highly recommended!

This place is your classic, amazing hole in the wall. Brings back childhood memories of my dad taking me here on saturdays to pick up a sandwich and batido. They only accept cash. They are dirt cheap and have fresh ingredients. I recommend the pan con lechón, pan con croqueta, and the pan con bistec. There batidos and natural juices are all great.

Fast service but cash only for this get it and go cafe. Great shakes and Cuban sandwiches but bring cash. No credit cards are accepted. Helps if you speak the language or bring a Spanish buddy.

Im currently having a batido de naranja con papaya without sugar +sandwich de pollo. This place is a hole in a wall with its own characteristics. Cash Only! No drama and you can't be picky with your order and get all fu fu. Great place for lunch to pick up or eat there and their prices are good.

The 1st time my husband took me here(2004) we just started dating. I took a look at the place and thought he was crazy. I'm okay with a place that looks bad but the food is amazing but this was pushing it. Let me tell you I love this place. We order pan con croquetas con ajo en pan de medianoche, our son orders the same but without the garlic and our daughter is not a sandwich kinda girl so they make for her this crazy thing she like which is a tostadas with shoestrings potatoes inside (don't ask). The fact that they willingly do it is amazing. I also order a orange pineapple juice with no added sugar with ice which is to die for. Don't let the look push you away. This is where it's at. Just one thing: parking is hell so be patient.

Love this place for the fast service and the ridiculously low prices on there food. Sandwiches do not go over $4.50 which is unreal. This place as far as I'm concerned has the BEST pan con bistec in south Florida. There shakes and fruit juices are the best in town. I have tried a few of them and they have never been a let down. Love the Mamey shake and there Banana Shake.. Mmmmm Mmmm Good.. The only negative is and I really cant say it's a negative, it is what it is basically. This place is a no frills kind of place. You can stand around and have a quick lunch in less than ten minutes. There are no seats, standing room only and take out. You cant be shy in this place you have to stand there and as soon as you get eye contact with one of the guys taking orders just go ahead and yell out your order. This is the only way to get service. Also keep in mind " CASH ONLY" Bring a ten spot and you will get change in return... Parking can be a little tricky but I usually park in the McDonald's or on the side street without an issue. Love this place.... Hialeah - La cuidad que progresa... :)

This spot has been a 5-star for over 20 years! I remember coming here as a kid and nothing has changed. Pan con bistec is all I've ever had and all you need to try. Flavorful, tender, with onions, lettuce, tomato and papitas (potato sticks). Boy o boy was I happy to return after almost 7 years. It's well worth going out of the way for. :-)
