Marché aux puces de Saint-Ouen

Not your typical flea market. First of all it is the largest flea market in the world and is massive with 10 different sections. You can find everything from antiques, vintage art and postcards, furniture, records/cds/cassettes and curated vintage clothing. Prices are on higher end but there are some good deals to be found, you may just have to look hard. Definitely worth checking out if you like secondhand and vintage decor.

So much more than a flea market, this is immense; antiques, galleries, specialties, music media, instruments, nostalgia, fashion, you name it. Much of it is organized in specialized boutiques; fabulous. This is a place to get to know if you live in Paris because it is the ultimate resource for anything you may need. Get there early and give yourself time to explore; there’s a lot to see!

It’s more a collection of tiny shops rather than flea market set ups. Prices quite high, but good place to admire Parisian wares and art.

Impressive flea market where you can literally get lost. It felt like a treasure cove.and the three generations in our party enjoyed the visit immensely.

5-star rating for the experience. You can find everything from junk on the sides of the streets to high-grade antiques in specialised shops. Don’t expect to find any bargains here. Everything is at the top level of the price range for the condition its in, or way overpriced (except perhaps for the junk mentioned above). I sincerely recommend it for the experience, for a few and surprisingly good cafés that are among the shops, and for bying interesting things if you can find them and if you can afford the asking price. Some price haggling can be had, but not much. Expect to spend quite a few hours walking around. (I never manage to spend less than 3-4 hours per visit and I could easily spend double that time, despite having been there for at least 4-5 times.) The things that one can see, are incredible. The place is alive only on weekends. I have gone there on weekdays and almost everything is closed. Saturday is probably the best day to visit. Highly recommended if you like that sort of thing as I do.

Really huge marche aux puces, memorabilia, furniture, discs, vintage clothes, shoes. I was tired but happy to visit such an intriguing place like that.

So cool experience if you like thrifting/flea markets/antiques. Just be prepared for how overwhelmingly big it is. It isn’t as cheap as you’d expect either. It’s still very recommended just for the experience.

Really is massive and the amount of merch in each store is remarkable. My only negative was that I think of flea markets as being a haven for bargain hunters. If that is you too, then this is not the place to go. Bargaining may be the rule, but at 15E for a cotton tea towel there would have to be a lot of bargaining to get it down to what I would consider a flea market find.
