We wanna start by saying that our waitress, Raven, was an absolute delight. She made sure our dietary needs were meant and then on top of that we had a wonderful evening on our anniversary at the restaurant. Secondly, the food was divine. We can’t recommend this place more and felt like we were Really taking care of. Thank you for making our night wonderful.

Wouldn’t even know where to begin with the mouth watering awesomeness served up here at tree house! Service was top tier , wonderful staff . We sat outdoors and what a vibe that was. Cutest shops and some incredible food line up the streets . Everything is vegan unless requested vegetarian, loved that . The menu is always changing so you never know what you’ll get . The vegan cinnamon roll & NA drinks were divine and the food is delicious. Great experience.

overall it was a good experience! the cuban was honestly really good-and it surpassed my expectations! the atmosphere was really chill, and the people were nice. we got our ticket about halfway through eating, and i later asked for a ranch and they reprinted the ticket and charged us an extra $1.50…. lol. also, i ordered the cuban and my fiancé ordered the cinnamon roll and we both got water. we ended up paying over $30 for the meal.

Every time I come in town its a must I eat here. Its always SO amazing and this time disappoint. I was there very early as to not have to wait at all. It was a slower starting day ( a Monday ). So i had the place to myself 🤗. Theres a QR code on the table to order. Easy peasy. Good variety of menu items. Im a member of the Clean Plate Club always when it comes to the Tree House. They know their vegan stuff 💚 Go!

I ate here with a friend as a person who is not vegan or vegetarian. I did not like the sausage - it was extremely seasoned and was not my palette. It just tasted like “girl dinner” or butter noodles. I would go here if friends had diet restrictions but I did not personally enjoy the experience. That staff was very welcoming and the atmosphere was comfortable. Street parking available.

We managed to drop in for brunch recently. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was good. The Tofu Benedict was quite nice with arugula on top. I would have questioned the wisdom of the cornbread as an ingredient ... But it was a thin layer and the flavor balanced nicely with the rest and it wasn't over powering. I would definitely get it again. The Cuban ... was not my cup of tea, personally, very basic with pretty much just an overpowering amount of smokey cheese. The Seitan seemed nice in it though, just no tomato, or sauce, or other flavors to round it out. Presumably the way a Cuban should be. The SO enjoyed it, just not my thing. We got a side pancake which was good. The home fries that the main dishes came with were alright, but not crispy and a little bland. We also shared a mocha, definitely an espresso lovers mocha and not a chocolate lovers mocha ... Only a hint of chocolate and no balance. But loved by the SO for the espresso. (They did happily add some more chocolate sauce.) *** This was a lovely little restaurant with a nice atmosphere, nicely decorated, and the food was definitely the highlight. The porch seating combined with beautiful weather made for a very pleasant dinner. They had unique and interesting scratch made dishes. Everything I tried was delicious. They even have a small garden on site, which I believe supplies some of their fresh herbs for use in the restaurant. I would say it was slightly on the upper scale side and priced as such - so a slightly expensive dinner after you get a few things - some small but delicious plates, absolutely worth it for the high quality and interesting dishes. I tried their Fried Beets, Ravioli, and Truffles, I don't remember the exact flavors now, but I remember really enjoying it. It was a little dark in the evening, but I got a few photos. I look forward to my next chance to drop in and try their offerings again!

I was hesitant at first that I wouldn't get enough, but this place didn't disappoint! It also has a full vegetarian and vegan menu and plenty of yummy options. For killer brussel sprouts and hash, id highly recommend the Hash!!

If possible, make a reservation before going. When we went, the restaurant was empty. We were the only ones inside while some people were sitting outside, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Sometimes they do get busy, so it's better to have a reservation than to not have one. I tried Tree House before, but it was takeout. This time, my husband and I ate inside. It was very relaxed. We tried the dumplings, which were good, and both got the jambalaya for $20. Guys! This jambalaya was amazing! I'm tasting it as I write this review! You can park on Grand, but you may need to search and pay for it. You might be able to find free parking on a side street off of Grand. Highly recommend!

I made reservations for dinner date with my husband for 7p on a Thursday evening. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted by our server who was very friendly and told us we could seat ourselves anywhere we wanted, even offering to clean the recently vacated table by the window. There was a QR code in the table to view the menu. Our server came by with waters and told us about the specials. We decided on the hush puppies, krab rangoon and the fried beets, to start. OMG...the fried beets were absolutely amazing!! The krab rangoon were really good, as well and the dipping sauce was a great addition. I'm not a huge fan of hush puppies, so I can't really say a lot about them. They were okay. After our starters, we decided to share a big plate of wild mushroom stuffed ravioli. It was good, but the sauce was very rich so sharing was the right way to go. The ambiance was good, service was great and the food was delicious. Being new to the Vegan scene, I was very pleasantly surprised with the elevated dishes. A note to non-vegans, you are not going to get food that tastes just like non-vegan versions...it's a culinary twist that offers new and interesting flavors. As a huge foodie, I am able to appreciate the flavor profiles and the artistry In recreating the dishes to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions. Bravo, Tree House!

I stopped into Tree House on South Grand around 7 PM Sunday for a dinner date. My date wanted to try a vegetarian spot, and while the date itself was forgettable, the food was absolutely not. The meal was easily the highlight of the evening. I'm not a vegetarian by any stretch, but I do enjoy trying new things. We started with the kabocha squash tempura (a special) and it was fantastic. I also ordered a Café Paradiso, an espresso mocktail, which hit the spot. For dinner, I went with the Jambalaya with cornbread and it was OUTSTANDING. If you didn't know it was meat-free, you'd never guess. The depth of flavor was impressive, and the cornbread was the perfect pairing. I'll absolutely be back... just with a different date next time.

This place is great, from the vegan food to the atmosphere/ambience, there's nothing not to like. I love the vegan menu and that, on top of that, they have a "specials" menu with vegan selections! The service was, no surprise, also great. My spouse and I had a great time and can't wait to return. We started with the kabocha squash tempura- a special. I had the seitan duck, also a special, and the spouse had the sweet corn and summer squash risotto, surprise, surprise, also a special. It was all good, the risotto was excellent. The duck was prepared with a mole poblano that was a very north of Mexico style preparation, it was still good but I'm not sure I would have identified it as a mole poblano had it not been listed on the menu. It was served with handmade masa cake that was incredible. The seitan was great- great texture, not too dry or gummy, it was kind of perfect. I'd order it again but not for the mole. One would be well advised to go here and eat delicious vegan food. Go often, order many things!

First time here. I loved the plantain's! The fried vegan chicken sandwich was really good. My meat eating boyfriend liked it. The vegan Cuban was okay. The potatoes and salad were good sides. The service was great. When we were there, a couple came in not knowing it's a vegan restaurant. The server was very friendly and patient explaining the menu and providing recommendations. After this visit. I returned a few weeks later and got the chicken sandwich to go! I do want to come back to try more of the menu.

From the moment we arrived for dinner, we felt welcomed by the congenial host, Jackson. We enjoyed the na beer offering and dined alfresco on their patio in front. It was relaxing and our server Claire tended well to our needs. We ate light but so enjoyed the mushroom special with polenta. Beautifully presented and delish from first to last bite. It made me smile to see the indoor tables filled on a Wednesday nite. The place lit up in applause when Jackson regaled a diner with an operatic version of the happy birthday song. NB: my omnivorous mate loved the food too!

The food is great. Everyone in my party loved their food. But at least mine felt there was something missing. In my case with the Wild Mushroom Ravioli it was the that the Brussel Sprouts needed a bit more roasting, but for sure some salt in it. The cause as well could have had some (or if it did stronger) ingredient to counteract thr cashew cheese I believe. Service was great plus they came and told us their was a full rainbow outside and offered to take pictures of us. The reason why it drops from 5 to 4 isn't about the food. You have to view the menu via a QR code, which doesn't even take you to the menu to but homepage of their site. While other say you have to order through it the waiter took our order. But if your making people go online, put a picture of the plate. Finally, they don't accept Amex. Yes they charge more in interests. But that's part of doing business. I would come back here without a doubt if I lived here.

Yum! I stopped by this place after looking at the menu online. It's a nice size and very cute inside. On the tables they have the QR code to scan the menu. I ordered the hash and it was delicious. It included brussel sprouts potatoes vegan sausage Hollandaise sauce and some more. I definitely want to come back to try their dinner menu.

I've been wanting to try Tree House for ages, and it completely exceeded my expectations. As a lifelong vegetarian with a love for mocktails, I already knew from their online presence that it would be cute and delicious--but what I didn't anticipate was just how thoughtful, creative, and flavorful every single dish would be. The menu alone had me excited--everything from specialty sauces to inventive entrees like the sourdough Gouda patty melt and Japanese katsu sandwich reads like a love letter to fresh, top-quality ingredients. And the food lived up to it. Every bite felt purposeful and crafted with care. Even my husband, who's not vegetarian and usually a harder sell on plant-based food, was nearly giddy tasting the krab Rangoon and katsu. The mocktails were another highlight--absolutely delicious and perfectly balanced so you can sip and savor them without rushing through. I loved the Café Paradiso, a cozy espresso mocktail that felt perfect for fall, while Micah went for The Holiday, which was bright, refreshing, and fruity. Both were incredible. On top of the food and drinks, the staff made the whole experience even better--genuinely warm, personable, and clearly passionate about walking us through the menu and ingredients. Tree House is a gem for vegetarians, vegans, and honestly anyone who just loves food done right. Can't wait to come back.

Tree house is a fully vegetarian restaurant located in tower grove south. While their menu is fully vegetarian, they are able to make parts of their menu vegetarian and gluten free as well. I came to Tree House and ordered their fried chicken katsu sandwich and maduros. It was very busy but our server was as attentive as she could be given the amount of customers that were there. I think the flavor of the chicken katsu sandwich was middle tier. The maduros were fried nicely and coated in a nice drizzle of sauce. Overall I think this is a good option when you're looking for a place that has a variety of vegetarian/vegan options!

Mid size space inswouland table outside. Highly recommend to make reservation. Service was good. They try to work with my drink need and was helpful. Basil limelide - 3/5 - little sweet for me but refreshing Sweet corn hushpuppies - 4.5/5 - tasty with kick Fried chicken sandwitch - 4/5 Pasta Florentine - 4/5 - Creamy with italian sausage. Lacks seasoning. Big portion.

Wow! Those fried beets are tooooo good! I never thought I could like beets so much! Treehouse has got to be my favorite vegan spot so far! Such a great experience, the servers are sooo down to earth, this restaurant in generally is just filled with positive vibes! The pasta florentine and the smoked Gouda sandwich are 10/10! I can't wait to come back!

I can comment only on the service that my wife and I received today. We were told abruptly no when asked if a paper version of the menu was available. We followed the procedure and had decided on two entrees. The waitress brought glasses of water, and came back to top off the glasses. She never returned, and seemed to us to avoid us from that point on, busying herself with several activities that were clearly not urgent. We just got up and walked out. The Brussels and slaw appetizer was delicious with an amazing sweet and citrusy dressing. The fried crab cakes were pretty great, it was very close to tasting like crab but also had amazing depth and profile. The staff was nice and ambiance is cute. Would totally return.

First time here for lunch. Food is great. Alternative service option - order and pay through QR code and app and hostess/ server brings food out when ready. Just as delicious as the dinners I have had here. You cannot go wrong with the best fries.

I've been to Tree House several times. However, this visit was for the brunch menu. Our part of 5 had no problem being seated at 11am on a Sunday. I ordered the Tipsy Dirty Chai for my cocktail and the Southern Benedict (tofu) served with potatoes. Both were excellent. Again, another great experience at this establishment. Service is always great and the food outstanding.

I'm not a vegetarian but I do eat many vegetarian meals. This is an enjoyable, satisfying meal and you won't feel like something was missing. When in the area, I'd happily eat here again. It is an attractive, casual dining atmosphere and the service was properly attentive.

Still great. The bread was a little bit, overpowering for the sandwich, but once I took the top off, I was good. I love how this place has quite a selection of nonalcoholic cocktails to choose from. The service is always top-notch, though the acoustics are actually pretty bad.

We found this place and decided to make a 30 min + drive. Totally worth it! The food, atmosphere, and people were totally worth it. Our server, Jackson, was so sweet & kind to my children. Our food came out super fast and was absolutely delicious! I'm so happy to have found this cute place.

I come here to see if it gets better. Because it's not that the food is necessarily bad, it just almost always tastes as if it's missing something. There's not much on the menu that doesn't require me to spice it up at home. I've had the brunch and the dinner. The service is ALWAYS great here. There also aren't many vegan restaurants in the STL area with this style which is why I will keep coming back, but I would love to always enjoy the menu along with that. Hopefully you all take this into consideration.

Located on South Grand, nice city vibe to this eatery. Great and attentive service. Menu helpful in pointing out gf offerings as well as detailing the vegan/veg. dishes. Add some delicious cocktails Offered as juices as well) and you have a yummy dining experience.

Delicious! Large portions, reasonable prices and amazing food. I am highly impressed by the flavor and menu selections of this restaurant. Ordered during brunch: Fried Beets (A+), had a pleasantly surprising heat profile. Unfortunately they were sold out of cinnamon rolls. Biscuits and Gravy (A+), far too many vegan spots miss out on the opportunity of selling this breakfast favorite. I did not need to add seasoning to ANY of my food. I just knew that the potatoes would need something, and after the first bite realized they were perfect. Tofu scramble, gravy and beets were all memorable and perfection. Can't wait to return!

Had lunch there today for the very first time, and the experience left me feeling torn... Some background: I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I'm always open to trying new foods, and coming from an asian background, I'm used to dishes wihout meat, though very rarely have I eaten meat substitutes, i.e., seitan "meat", chick'n, beyond/impossible burgers. We wouldn't normally eat at a vegetarian restaurant, but were meeting family there who were visiting St. Louis - they are vegan, and had heard good things about Tree House and wanted to go. That said, I really enjoyed the food! My husband and I split their gouda patty melt + egg, with a side of potatoes. It was my first time trying a beyond burger and I really enjoyed it! My husband, who is less into vegan/vegetarian "meats", enjoyed the meal as well. We also ordered two mocktails, which were great - it was tempting to just chug them down lol. The waiter we had was nice - he was attentive, quick to refill our waters and brought out an extra plate for us immediately when requested. Considering we were seated outside, this was particularly impressive - i've had many experiences with slow service because of wait staff getting held up serving their inside tables (although I don't know what the inside was like today, or if it was particularly busy in the afternoon). He seemed friendly when we did interact with him! Here's where I wasn't particularly impressed: To order, we were required to scan a QR code at the table and then order through their online app, like you would a to-go order. I guess if you don't have a cell phone with you, they might have menus available, but we didn't get a chance to ask. The app itself was clunky. We had to pass the phone back and forth, as ordering on separate phones would mean each person having to pay their own bill, which was disappointing, as we had intended to pay for the entirety of the bill, but ended up splitting the check simply because our companions ordered on their phones, and we ordered on my husband's. Ordering through the app meant very little interaction with the waiter. The fact that you pay as soon as you put in your order, and it asks for tip then, makes it hard to justify tipping 20%. If you tip less, and you find that your interaction with the waiter (brief as it may end up being) has left you wishing you could tip more, you better hope you brought cash (we, regrettably, didn't), because it didn't appear that there was any way to do so through the app once the order was finalized. The whole experience, unfortunately, left us kind of regretting going... Which was sad, as our company had been excited to try it. We want to support our local businesses as much as we can, but if the online ordering system is a permanent thing, I don't know if we will be returning in the future.

Yum! I'm not vegan but this restaurant packs the punch with flavor! Thoroughly impressed that a full vegan restaurant has so much to offer. Thats my bad! Our servers were amazing! From answering any questions we had to making sure our coffees were full! I loved that the area is full of natural light, definitely makes it feel bigger. Not the best for groups but they could probably make it work. Fun environment! Only downfall is the no WiFi. But I can deal.

Tree House Restaurant on South Grand in St. Louis was established in 2013 and offers a fantastic option for vegans and vegetarians. It's challenging to be strict vegan without getting a little bored. This spot can assist! Went for brunch. While I'm no longer vegan, I appreciate the creativity and ingredient excellence at this spot. I recently enjoyed their Desayuno Latino, featuring a black bean and vegetable stuffed masa cake with flavorful house-made sauces and perfectly cooked eggs, accompanied by breakfast potatoes. The trendy atmosphere, full bar, and friendly, quick service make it a must-visit spot. Overall, a bright and cheerful gem offering a great vegan option in our community.

Every time that we are in St. Louis, brunch at the Tree House is a must! Phenomenal vegan food and many options. The staff is always so kind as well.

Good was great and had a good variety of vegan food. You are also able to get dishes with dairy cheese. The server we had was rushing us & was either coming up too often or not enough, which is why the rating is 4 stars.

Lovely, wish we were more hungry during our time there. Sat at the bar and had a lovely chat and got recommendations for what to do around the area. The sandwich was really good.

They have the option to get your dish either vegetarian or vegan, and offer many gluten free options as well. The food is always delicious and service is always exceptional. This is definitely a vegan favorite in Stl.

The food is fine. I don't care for the ambience. It's a little too rustic for me. But my biggest problem is having to order my food through an app on my phone. It wasn't easy. It wasn't convenient. And I shouldn't have to enter my home address to order an $18.00 lunch. Make it easy. Also, I found the chairs to be uncomfortable.

Tree House is a great spot for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores! Lots of flavorful food and a great variety of healthy, tasty options. I loved the apps and drinks we had here but likely wouldn't have my main dish here! Our waitress was super nice, attentive, and helpful. I would recommend reservations as it filled up pretty quickly and was a bit noisy! They also have an outdoor patio We started with drinks which were all very refreshing! I got the spicy pineapple margarita which was on their happy hour menu, the perfect amount of spice! We then shared appetizers - the dumplings weren't my favorite but I loooved the gnocchi, Brussels sprouts salad, and jackfruit dishes. I would go back just for those! My friend and I both got the mushroom ravioli with Brussels sprouts - unfortunately neither of us liked it at all. The Brussels sprouts were too salty (the appetizer Brussels sprouts dish on the other hand was delicious, flavorful) and the cream sauce had a strange coconut flavor. Wouldn't get it again... The cacio Pepe was good, peppery and had a great Parmesan. We opted for the vegetarian not vegan version. The pasta Florentine was really good - had some spiciness and an exciting flavor.

Wow! This place was amazing. It started off with great service from Harmonye and we also were seated right away from making a reservation through the yelp app. The bar was looks so fun and everything about the restaurant felt really intentional. We had fun looking at the microscopic photos. The food looked so good and smelt even better. I got the hash with over easy eggs and the sauce was nice and bright. The rest tasted like fall encompassed in a breakfast. My boyfriend got the Southern Benedict and he loved it! Neither of us are vegetarian but we both enjoyed them regardless. *Breakfast Potatoes were excellent

Enjoyed a nice brunch with my son here. No inside seating was available so we ate outside. Our waitress ended up being a former college classmate of my sons. So that was very nice. The waitress helped me to make a good decision as I have diabetes and need to have more protein and go light on the carbs. Since I was unfamiliar with the vegetarian protein sources, she assisted me. We ate outside on the patio since all the tables inside were occupied. It was a pleasant experience. The food options were unique. I may be returning.

Finally tried this restaurant after being vegetarian for 6 years! My spouse and I shared everything: Brussels sprouts salad, krab Rangoon, hush puppies and the mushroom polenta dish. We liked it all. I think the salad and Rangoons were my favorite. I also enjoyed a house cocktail. Service was kind and fast. Prices were reasonable. Thank you!

Dead ass tired on a Friday night, and not that hungry.... but met up with some friends for 'dinner'. It had been some time since I'd been there. I recalled living their chicken sandwich but we decided to share some things. So....you know when food tastes so delicious when you're hungry? Well, how about when the food tastes THAT GOOD when you AREN'T hungry!!!!! Our server Joe was competent, polite and acted like they wanted to be there. You don't find that too often anymore! Joe we enjoyed meeting you if you read your restaurant feedback. Now to the food... I mean the veggie burger was the best I, personally, have ever had. What I noticed is that it was not overly beany tasting. I tasted mushrooms and carmelized onion notes. Clearly, it was freshly made in-house. The Brussel sprouts were epic. They weren't like everyone else's...shaved or swimming in an ordinary glaze or heavily buttered,. They were cut in half, perfectly roasted, and tossed with a delicious moist glaze ---not a burn type roast. Tender! Just perfect. They were blended with a rough-cut cabbage and mint. Just order them. Honestly they were delicious. Truly special. I'm craving another round of them already at 7 am. The hush puppies, also great. A bit of an unexpected crunchy shell before you sink your teeth into a flavorful interior. Aoli sauce was not overly garlicky. Maybe a weird comment, but the size of them was right. When hush puppies are too small, they can leave you with a sense of heavy, greasy doughnut in your stomach. These weren't greasy nor did you feel guilty for just having tasted a deep fried delicacy. Another menu item I'll reorder... The designer in me has to comment on the restaurant's interior. So, "Tree House" could suggest some type of gimmicky decor. There are no branches nailed to the wall. The kitchen wall is a tree themed wallpaper? Or maybe even hand painted? It's not distracting. It somewhat frames in your view of the chefs who seemed focused on cooking. Bar appeared to be assembled out of custom pallets maybe? Tables were solid, chairs comfortable enough. Thumbs up to bathroom wallpaper. Acoustics didn't bug me and there was only one empty table. I didn't have a cocktail. Rumor has it, they're great. Honestly, again we just stopped in for a snack after a long, rainy day and I'm quite anxious to go back. Great job Tree House. I'm hooked.

Excellent food. And the drinks were complexed and very good. Kudos to the bartenders. Great server, offered lots of recommendations. Great ambiance, sat outside and felt like I was in a beautiful garden. Def returning for the food and the fun feeling.

Everything from the service to the mocktails to the food was superb! We were in town for a business trip and it was such a phenomenal break from "Tradeshow" food. I would come back here anytime I'm in the STL vicinity!

Let me start off with saying WOW! This is paradise for all vegetarians and vegans!! I came here for dinner on a Thursday evening, the place wasn't busy a first, but people slowly started occupying tables. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, I chose to sit outside and enjoy the great flowers that corner their outdoor seating area. The inside has a bar that makes absolutely amazing cocktails! Their ordering process is done through QR codes located on the tables, as they do not have paper menus. Definitely a smart approach to the restaurant business. They have a small menu that focused on superb quality in their foods! I started off by ordering fried beets. Roasted and Fried with Togarashi, Aioli and Mint, they were delicious and left a little bit of a spice in your mouth. A must try. My main course was their smoked maitake mushroom polenta that came with Chorizo Butter, sauteed organic Greens, and house-made whipped Goat Cheese. Not only was it a perfectly made dish but it also tasted absolutely wonderful! The flavors blended perfectly together and the smell was mouth watering! Their service was fast and the staff friendly. Off the street parking is available. Overall an absolutely fantastic experience and I will definitely be coming back!

Decided to order take out for dinner and I ordered the vegan patty melt and vegan meatloaf. The patty melt either comes with potatoes or a side salad. We got potatoes. The meal was a 5/5 I would definitely get this again. The vegan meatloaf comes with a veggie loaf with mashed potatoes and gravy and mixed veggies. The veggie loaf was dry and over cooked. The mashed potatoes and gravy was great and the mixed veggies were well seasoned with a little spice. While the mashed potatoes and veggies were great the star of the meal wasn't good at all. Over all I would give the meatloaf a 3.5/5. I'm curious how other things are on the menu so I'll be back to give something else a try but I definitely recommend the patty melt.

I was looking for vegetarian options for a visiting friend. I appreciated that this was an all vegetarian restaurant which gave her lots of options. I enjoyed my pasta dish. It had a nice flavor and a tasty vegan sausage. Also enjoyed the queso appetizer. Service was fast and friendly . Will definitely eat here again.

Tree House has one of the best reputations among vegan restaurants in St. Louis and it's easy to see why! It doesn't taste like meat, of course, but everything I've had has been tasty. I'm a big fan of the Katsu BBQ sandwich and the Rangoon but you also can't go wrong with just veggies: the Brussels sprouts salad is excellent. Beyond the food, the servers are attentive and knowledgeable, it's reasonably priced, and the vibe is quick and casual.

We always enjoy eating here and recommend it to friends especially if they want to try vegan food or have guests who are vegan!
