Best food I've had in a long time, and the owner was SO nice! Amazing options for a vegan, I felt so full and had leftovers for a great price! Would definitely recommend the tea and injera chips.

Flavorful, large portions, and good prices. The combo system where you can build your own takeout box was smart, I enjoyed that. I’d recommend trying injera with your meal. The spicy beef in particular was my favorite. The owners were also very friendly and nice. 🙂

Whaaaat?! Ethiopian food and I don't have to go to iDrive? Sign me up! This food truck is great! The food is delicious and at really great prices. Three dishes with injera, rice, or quinoa for only $13. My favorite dish (so far) is the red lentils. Spicy and delicious. That is closely followed by the spicy chicken stew that my partner got. The cabbage was also a good choice. Injera? Perfect! Delicious affordable food AND great service. The people there are so very nice and helpful. If you haven't tried Ethiopian food, this is the place! They will help you out, and you get to try multiple dishes for a really low price. I hear they are open for breakfast too, and I can't wait to give that a try. Thanks for bringing Ethiopian to such a great location in-town!

I ordered vegan platter and I highly recommend it. I called the owner before ordering and she is such a lovely soul. She was kind, accommodating and just a wonderful person. Definitely one of my fav vegan Ethiopian place. The food was 10/10. Thank you.

This place is legit!! Helen’s food is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend her. She has vegan, GF, meat, veggies, breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, traditional Ethiopian food and she has American style options for breakfast. Her prices are reasonable and all of her food is made with her heart and passion. It’s just an amazing woman running an amazing business. Please continue to support her and her small business. You won’t regret it!!!

Incredibly authentic and delicious. The owner is very kind and helpful regarding her menu. The Doro Wot and Shiro Wot are excellent. This is a must try! Will be a regular location for me as long as I am in town.

The service was out of this world! We had the samosas and the bowl. Very veggie friendly which was perfect for me. Would recommend this for anyone. Cant wait to come back and try more.

This is my favorite new restaurant in Orlando. The food is healthy, so delicious, and you can tell everything is 100% homemade. I've eaten at all the Ethiopian restaurants in Orlando, and while Nile and Selam are both great, I find myself returning to Yene at least once a week. Their pricing is incredibly reasonable and the portion sizes are huge. They're also super generous with the injera (Yene, thanks for always accommodating my Ubereats requests). My favorite dish is their key wot, but I have now tried nearly everything on the menu and every single dish has been fantastic.

Wow! The food from Romay will get you excited about Ethiopian food. So flavorful! Had the pleasure to try during the Earth Day festival in Lake Eola and was blown away by the samosas. Crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor. Really great sauces to go along with it too! Would definitely recommend.

Orlando has an incredibly diverse and vibrant food scene and Romay is by far one of my favorite places to eat. Whether for lunch or dinner, events or markets, these Ethiopian meals always hit the spot. And the timeliness of the preparation takes nothing away from the deliciousness. If you want to try authentic Ethiopian cuisine, look no further than Yene Romay Ethiopian kitchen. I had the beef stew, split lentils, beets & potato salad & injera. It was flavorful, delicious, and super filling. I can't wait to go back and try more of her food. It tasted like a warm, home cooked meal made with lots of love !

I cannot say enough good things about this food truck! I had never had Ethiopian food prior to trying it at a farmers market in Apopka a couple of years ago. Helen was so sweet, she gave me a sample of lentils and a somosa (like a wonton) and I WAS HOOKED. Everything I've had is better than the next! Best of all, they offer vegan options and everything is homemade. I have literally followed these guys around Orlando, so I can get my "fix". If you haven't tried it yet, you're totally missing out. Caught their food truck at Redlight Redlight and was amazed. I have never had Ethiopian food before and they gave me great recommendations. I love spicy food, and this gave me exactly what I needed. It was very affordable and you get a ton of food. The owners were very nice and accommodating. I am always on the lookout for when their food truck is out around town.

Great food at a pop up on Curry Ford. So glad to find out about this food truck, saves a lot of drive time to the restaurants near or on I-Drive. We loved it!

AhhhhhMMMMMAAAAzing food! Once you taste Yene Romay's Ethiopian menu items, your only regret will be not finding this food truck sooner!!! I am VERY picky when it comes to eating out, as I make delectable food at home and I am a registered dietitian, but I drive an hour each way for their Misir Wot (perfectly spiced red lentils), Tikil Gomen (incredibly addictive cabbage, potato and carrot dish), Ater Kik (hearty and satisfying yellow split peas), and Gomen (tender braised collards)... just to mention a few of my favorites. Don't get me started on the cool lentil salad, the beet and sweet potato salad, and of course, the Injera!!! Think of a sourdough crepe (made from Teff, the smallest grain on the planet), that is uniquely designed to transport each bite of goodness from your plate into your mouth! The eating experience is truly a party of flavors and textures! I have eaten Ethiopian food from one coast of the country to the other and this is hands-down, the best that I have ever eaten... spot-on, every single time. I am also soooo happy to support a local business owner who puts her whole heart and soul into the food she creates for the world. Not salty, oily or heavy, just downright delicious! Find her truck and get ready for a flavor adventure that you'll be back for, time and time again!

I have had the pleasure of trying many items on the Yene Romay menu and every dish explodes with flavor and intention. Without prior exposure to Ethiopian cuisine, I really didn't know what to expect but I feel like once you've had a taste you will keep coming back for more. The Misir Wot completely addictive!​ Thick and scoopable with the injera and perfectly balanced with savory spices- perfect for those with a milder palette, like myself. If I had my way I would eat it everyday. It's filling, healthy and exciting cuisine. Yene Romay is also expanding their menu, more recently adding fall off the bone tender chicken and a chilled lentil salad, which is so bright and zesty-definitely appreciated in the hot summer heat! If you get the chance to catch them at one of their regular spots around Orlando or decide to order for a catering event, you will not be disappointed. Orlando is so lucky to have such awesome people sharing delicious food made with heart within our community! So go support local vendors and tell all your friends too!

What a delight! Delicious, flavorful food, big portions, very reasonable prices, and food was ready within 2 minutes after ordering. Doro wot (chicken stew) and tibs (beef with vegetables) were outstanding. Veg dishes lentil stew, beets-potato salad, chickpeas, greens were so good!

my first time eating Ethiopian food was at this amazing food truck, and I can honestly say it's now one of my favourite cuisine, thanks to Yene Romay's Kitchen. As well as the exceptional service provided , the food was delicious and also had a variety of flavours and combinations that I was able to select from.I also especially loved the fact that they had vegan options that were infused with a range of spices and seasonings.
