Schooner or Later - Review - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Dining at Schooner or Later has become something of a Long Beach rite of passage, much like “shoot the root,” the infamous root beer schnapps and Coors Light concoction from Shannon’s on Second Street. Almeraz recommends Schooner or Later in part because of its dockside location. She also loves being able to enjoy a drink at the marina. “Who doesn’t want to do that?” she says. “A nice view, plus you get to wait in the lifeguard chairs and have a cocktail.” We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

We discovered this wonderful breakfast and lunch gem back in 1988. We live in Nor Cal and get to So Cal twice a year, and we have breakfast here usually 3-4 days/year. We love eating at restaurants by water and this place is by Alamitos Bay. There are yachts & boats in the harbor. Schooner is where I first discovered Chilequiles (with red sauce), and Huevos Rancheros. The staff are so friendly, some have worked here over 15 years! The food is delicious, and on warm summer days while seated on the outside patio, nothing is better than a Schooner of Beer or a Bloody Mary. Clothing merchandise is also available. You can’t go wrong having a fun meal here.

Nice views and patio. We came here for the views while in Long Beach. Our server, Janice S was great - friendly and attentive. We got the BLT and the crab & avocado melt. The sandwiches were good - I was surprised my salad was iceberg lettuce for the price and its description of ‘green salad.’ They have lots of patio seating, perfect for a nice day. I also liked that they offered coffee and other drinks while waiting for a table.

I hadn't been there in a few years but if anything changed, it only got better. I have been there several times and I honestly have only had the Crab Omelet with Avocado and Hollandaise. Onion Rings are made fresh to order and the Biscuits are a must have. Hard to believe that's my go to without having tried anything else in years. Hey, if it ain't broke, right?

Been here a few times, love it, parking is always easy, but the spaces are small. Never waited too long. Great atmosphere, good food, great service. Large portions, and great flavor for a fair price. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very clean. Good views. Great drinks, and highly recommend and will return.

Very enjoyable breakfast on the patio. The view is amazing, as is the food. Coffee mugs are large. Food portions are also on the large size; great English muffins!

We celebrated Mother’s Day at Schooner or Later and had an amazing time! The atmosphere was perfect, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was on point. Everything came out fresh and delicious, and the waterfront setting made it feel extra special. It was the perfect spotto relax, enjoy a great meal, and make memories with the family. Definitely one of our new favorite places—can’t wait to come back!

My sister and I enjoyed brunch! Awesome friendly service! My sister says one of the best bowls of chili she's had in a while.

This is the first time I’ve had a chance to visit and I’ve lived in the area my entire 46 years. I’ve heard of it but didn’t know they even served food and amazing food at that. We went for mimosas and brunch around 11 am on a Monday. Celebrating my besties mom’s bday and so glad we chose this location. The weather was awesome, it was pretty packed with customers but we were seated and served immediately. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. I had the vegetable omelet and a mimosa that was a little strong for my taste. But I don’t like overwhelming alcohol taste in general. It was still delicious I just had the waitress bring me an extra cup of orange juice. The waitress even brought us this new gadget that is a tall stick that sits on the table and it has almost like fan blades that are flexible plastic that it turns on and spins and keeps flys away from the table and most importantly the food. I believe all 6 of us in our party really enjoyed our celebration and the food was as good as it gets. I never would have guessed that place had such great cuisine. Thanks for the memories

Yelp
Schooner or Later is a waterfront breakfast and lunch joint in Long Beach. It was an overcast afternoon, but the sun kept popping through so we decided to sit out on the patio. The view and fresh air were great. The patio is a good size and there are probably a dozen or so tables. There are only a few tables that are permanently covered and in the shade. They do have umbrellas for the tables, but they were not out when we visited. They also have heat lamps for when it is cold outside. There is plenty of parking only a few steps away from front of the restaurant. I decided to go outside of the box and ordered "The Mess". This is a blend of chopped ham, bell peppers, onion, hash browns, eggs, and cheddar cheese. It is $18.95 for a half size portion, and only $21.70 for the full size portion, so it's silly to not pay a few extra dollars and take any leftovers home. I ate about half of it, and it was pretty good as-is, but it was missing a little something. I had the rest at home and added sour cream which made it way better. I would definitely recommend adding sour cream, avocado, or chili which are optional add-ons at the restaurant. It also comes with two slices of sourdough toast, and there are several flavors of packaged jelly on the table. She had the Cinnamon Roll French Toast ($16.75), and added a side of scrambled eggs and sausage ($8.95). She said it was good, and the portion size is pretty generous. Service was prompt and friendly.

Yelp
Came for sunday brunch after our friends shared their wonderful experience. We tried the country fried steak and it was crispy and tasty. I don't think the serving is quite big enough to share between 2 people and be full, but I'd recommend doing what we did and ordering that dish as well as the cinnamon roll french toast to share. The cinnamon roll french toast was SO good! Service was very friendly and attentive even though we sat on the far end of the outdoor deck. The place was super busy and lively, as expected for Sunday brunch. We were quoted about a 1 hour wait but only ended up waiting about 40 minutes.

Yelp
First found this place out of the blue after my 5K run event and became one of my family's new favorite breakfast spot. Their biscuits are a must!!! Literally so fluffy and moist like I'm eating a cake. Always feels like I'm at a diner on a family trip when we are seated inside.

Yelp
Bomb food! Try the crab omelette and add spam! Service is good! Ambiance is perfect by the boats on a sunny day .

Yelp
Had lunch with my buddy He suggested Schooner or later and I readily agreed. Lunch crowd was out, probably due to the gorgeous weather. So for the first time we sat inside. Still enjoying the views through the large windows. Nicely air conditioned so the temperature was comfortable. He ordered a beef eater and I had my standard crab and avocado melt. Both were tasty and we both cleaned our plates as usual. We always have a great time at Schooner or later.

Yelp
Took some out of town family here for brunch and had a really nice meal and good time. I had the tuna melt that was very good. Everyone said they enjoyed what they ordered including the Bloody Mary's. The weather was perfect for sitting outside and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Lots of parking just make sure its not reserved for the people with boats here at the marina.

Yelp
Do you like the great outdoors? A view of water and boat docks? It's pretty to look at. But, I'm not the target audience. I'm an indoor AC person. I've been here a few times. Each time it started out bearable sun wise. But, I'm completely melting after the sun moves. But, the food is good. I had the 2 egg breakfast with a biscuit. It was homemade and so tender it completely fell apart. The home potatoes with bell peppers and onion were very yummy. They give you a slice of ham big enough to share with a few people.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was super good and it was very nice outside! The servers were kind and the clam chowder was super good! I really liked the 1/2 sandwich and soup meal since it's a great deal and good lunch size!

Yelp
I visited here with a colleague on a Wednesday morning. Despite the weekday morning they were quite busy. The view overlooking the marina was nice. I had the "Mexican omlette" filled with carne asada, salsa, cilantro and cheese. It was served with hashbrowns and sourdough toast. My colleague had the chilaquiles which looked equally delicious. If youd like a fun, fresh spot to grab brunch overlooking the marina, definitely check this out!
google avatar

Nicolina A.

Yelp
Loved the view by the docks! It was a comfortable sunny day, but looks like they have heaters outside as well if it gets chilly. Food and service were okay. Pancakes had a bit of a spongey texture, but flavor was good otherwise.

Yelp
Went here on a Friday for brunch. Greeted and seated outside in the patio section. Ordered its specialty schooner signature of bloody mary. One for me and one for my wife. Was served in minutes! The taste of bloody mary sings the birds of the sky of delightment! Ordered our breakfast entrees of eggs and potatoes. Received and was delivered in a timely manner. Food was great! No complaints. The ambiance was great. Was feeling the 75 degree weather over viewing the bay. I can smell the ocean water which was all part of the experience. Good food and Service! Plenty of free parking. Restrooms are outside of the establishment. I would definitely come back!

Yelp
It has been a long time since I've been here and finally my daughter and I got here on Mother's Day 2025 at 7:15 am and the place already had several tables filled and folks waiting. Staff was just finishing setup! I did the lox and bagel plate. Awesome. My Everything bagel was surprisingly light, the lox super fresh and with the perfect amount complimented with capers and cream cheese. My daughter got an omelet (forget which one) but had some avocado slices on top and she loved it. She was also duly impressed by the side of fresh fruit - stawberries! She detests the sides of grapes and watermelon! The huge biscuit was wonderful. She took most of that home, munching it throughout the day. The breakfast menu on one side; lunch on the other. This place is located on the marina between Seal Beach and Long Beach. Ample free parking (at least in the am) and the Seal Beach Yacht club is next door. Bathrooms are aplenty and clean. Service was good with the manager, possibly owner coming by to check a few times if all was well. They also have liquor! Enjoy. There's a reason the place has been here since 1985! The original owner passed away recently as locals know, but his sister/family still manage the restaurant, I believe.

Yelp
If you're not brunching at Schooner or Later, wyd? This waterfront gem is everything you want in a weekend vibe: boats bobbing in the harbor, a casual crowd, and giant, glorious plates of food that'll have you clutching your to-go box like a prize. Yes, there's usually a wait--but don't panic! Grab a mimosa or coffee from the cute little drink stand while you soak up that marina breeze. Let's talk food: The Mess (or its modest cousin, Half a Mess) is the breakfast scramble of champions--literally the kitchen sink tossed on a plate and it WORKS. If you lean sweet, their pancakes and French toast are chef's kiss--fluffy, golden, and begging for syrup. Also, major bonus points for being dog-friendly! They'll bring out water bowls for your pup like it's part of the VIP experience. Who knew brunch could be a treat for you and your furry friend? Prices are totally fair for the massive portions, and while service and parking are both "pretty decent," the real MVPs here are the vibes and the food coma you're guaranteed to walk away with. Come hungry. Leave happy. Possibly in a food daze.
google avatar

Jacqueline F.

Yelp
The price for the food is a little high but maybe because you are paying for a pretty view and location. The people who work here are very nice and very kind! Their bloody Mary is so delicious! That is what will bring me back. Maybe I will have to try something else on the food menu but the nachos was probably not the best thing to get
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
Hadn't been here in years but great to see the Service has not dropped off. A lot busier than I remember but we'll worth the wait. My Crab Omelet had a good amount of Cran in every bite and very well flavored. The Avocado and Hollandaise Sauce made for a great bite. The Biscuit was good on its own and really didn't need butter but I did. Various Coffees, Beer and Cocktails can be purchased in the waiting area which was not available before. Great day near the water so for some people regardless of the outside temperature, if you are not used to Beach weather bring a swester or a Hoodie. Yallhollaatchaboy!

Yelp
My friends and I came here for brunch, and it was such a beautiful spot, right on the marina, with super sweet waiters, and really delicious food. We were there around noon on a Saturday so for a group of 6, we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. They had a very nice area of benches to sit while we waited, and it didn't feel long at all. We loved that both breakfast and lunch are served all day - our group was able to mix and match with what we were all feeling like, and everyone loved their food! In general the portion sizes were really big (unless you are activtely ordereing a small meal, which is to be expected), so it is quite decently priced considering how much food they give you. When multiple of us ordered mimosas, our waitress let us know we could get them cheaper by ordering a whole bottle of champaign and a cup of orange juice - which worked out great! Overall we were super impressed by Schooner or Later, and I cannot wait for the next time I am in Long Beach to try more of their huge menu offering!

Yelp
If it's not for the big sign along Marina Drive, you would not know this place is even there. It looks like the original dining area inside is quite small, but with there outdoor it dog friendly adds quite a bit more of seating to accommodate the large crowds. Even with a large capacity, we still had a twenty minute wait which actually was not that bad because they take your phone number to text you when your table is ready, so while you're waiting, you can admire the beautiful yacht's asking the docks of the marina. As we got seated outside our table had no umbrella so it was actually hot under the sun, but when we notified then, they accommodated us with an umbrella in a speedy manner and made our breakfast very comfortable dining in the marina. For some reason, it made me think of Gilligan's Island. IYKYK. As for our food I went with the chicken fried steak breakfast and my wife went with the Pork chop country breakfast. The CFS was ok to me. They used a different style of batter which made it crispy but it was like eating a beer batteries Steak. It was just different. The sausage gravy was nice and thick but something in my meal was over salted, but I still finished it any way. My wife said the Pork chop was a bit tough and dry, but still had good flavor. I would probably come back because the service was good, the food decent, but their prices were on the high end. Average entree started at about eighteen dollars and up. The place is definitely the spot on a nice cool spring morning.
google avatar

Ed G.

Yelp
Ordered a margarita. I've never ever been disgusted by the salted rim on any drink. Whatever was on the the rim of that glass was either seasoning or something that does not belong near a margarita. The drink itself was okay, but some of that seasoning had fallen so it did have hints of a that weird flavor. The chilaquiles were underwhelming. The guacamole looked old and the sauce on the chilaquiles is the darkest green sauce I've seen on any chilaquiles. The service was mediocre at best. Our server just didn't seem to care. The ambiance was the only redeeming thing.
google avatar

Denny T.

Yelp
Came here with some coworkers after a Friday morning run on the beach. Really busy, but looks like we just beat the breakfast and brunch crowd and got seated right away. Really cool view of the marina when sitting outside and the huge umbrellas provide nice shade. You're pretty close to the other tables, but it was still a cool atmosphere to eat and talk with friends. Really big menu for breakfast and lunch. I think I made a mistake when I ordered the chilaquiles with red sauce. It was decent, but a little too spicy for me. I wish I got something else. The breakfast plates and sandwiches my coworkers got looked a lot more tastier than mine. Besides that, the food came out pretty quickly and the servers were all friendly. If you're in the Long Beach area, this seems like one of the spots you should try at least once.
google avatar

Ramona Q.

Yelp
I frequent this spot several times a week. The location feels like you're on vacation. The staff is always super pleasant and the food is delicious. The chicken pozole is a favorite of mine. The red chilaquiles are incredible. We try to get here before 10am to avoid a wait to sit outside, as most people take advantage of the outdoor seating to view the beautiful marina. However, should you find yourself waiting to be seated, you can still order drinks/adult beverages.

Linda B.

Yelp
My friends and I go there often to meet up for lunch. Service and food are always great.
google avatar

Don G.

Yelp
Schooner or later is consistently a phenomenal breakfast joint. The food is outstanding, the service is prompt and friendly, and the ambience is outstanding having a gorgeous view of the marina. If you visit here, may I strongly suggest "the mess", topped with chili and a side of biscuits and gravy.
google avatar

Kirsten H.

Yelp
I came here with two girl friends for Sunday breakfast. This place was really good. We waited about 15 minutes and were seated inside. Once inside, it was quaint and very nostalgic. They had a jukebox, and the bar reminded me of the cute diners back in the day. Service was great and quick. I ordered eggs & corn beef hash...since it was Sunday, I decided to try their Bloody Mary. OMG, my breakfast was delicious and the Blood Mary was perfect - SO GOOD. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely come back.

Yelp
Never disappoints! We always get the mess but decided to also get the Good Earth which was by far the best one we have ever had. The waitress recommended we get onion rings with it and holy moly she was right about how good they are. ALWAYS AMAZING
google avatar

Bridgette R.

Yelp
Today we had the pleasure of trying Schooner or Later. This was my first time and let me tell you the service was amazing as we had a pretty large group for brunch. The mimosas were strong! The coffee was delicious and all the staff that we came in contact with were very nice. The food was good and came out pretty fast for our large group. We will be back as the location is beautiful by the water.
google avatar

Yelp
It was a beautiful day in Long Beach California to enjoy brunch sitting in the Marina. I haven't been here since before 2020 and I am pleasantly surprised that the food is still delicious. The drinks have the right kick, and the servers are amazing, Bailey is a sweetheart, her attentiveness was refreshing. If you haven't been but want to, please go. You may have to wait to be seated but it is well worth it. We chatted with awesome people while sipping on our cocktails. Loved it!! Sorry no pics, I was too busy clinking glasses and socializing. Haha
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
I decided to have some brunch here after a long morning of paddleboarding and all I can say is ... WOW. Unfortunately, it was very crowded by the time I arrived, but I did manage to snag a seat at the bar to avoid the long wait time. Once I saw chicken fried steak on their menu that was it for me; let me have that and everything it comes with! Complete with a tasty adult beverage, my meal was absolutely amazing; on top of the service being very efficient, even considering how busy it was! Will UNDOUBTEDLY be visiting again very soon!
google avatar

Sarni N.

Yelp
Here is another amazing place for breakfast or brunch. Breakfast is amazing and you get a waterfront view. You can get started with some mimosas or your coffee if preferable. So many options to choose from I give this place a 10/10 being one of my favorite places to come with friends or on a date. I had the huevos rancheros with house potatoes, delicious. If you are around the area you should definitely consider stopping by.

Yelp
Located at the marina , parking near by . Nice location , restroom are located outside around the corner. Overall it was like any other diner , the food was just mid to me nothing out of the ordinary . I got hot chocolate as well that tasted exactly like the Swiss powder you get from the box mixed with water LOL . The waitress might have been new because she gave me sourdough instead of a biscuit for my order when in the menu it said biscuit overall not even sure if I had got double charged for the biscuit as she didn't even give us a receipt to look over just told us our total and that's it never saw an itemized receipt . Had a tummy ache later on so was fearful that she gave me the pork option of the dish . Overall good and experience was meh so do not care for coming back here :(

Yelp
Came on the last day of school for alot of folks. I always expect it to be busy because us locals love this place. I was supposed to meet up with an out of town friend. So I put my name on the list but asked if the could seat another party because my friend hadn't arrived. While waiting I got a mimosa drink from the outside bar and waited again for name to be recalled which didn't take long. My friend ended up canceling but I enjoyed my delicious breakfast that I ordered which was the veggie omelet with toast side of bacon and fruit. My server was very nice and kept checking in with me. The table was clean and the ambiance was busy but chill to be there. I ran into someone from high school which always makes my day and it was nice to see all the kids who had their promotions from 8th grade.
google avatar

Rosemarie E.

Yelp
I forgot to take a picture of the food because my friend and I just finished a 10k & 15k run nearby. I got the Traditional eggs Benedict and my friend got the crab & avocado Benedict both with a side of hash browns. Mimosa were great too! We arrived on Sunday around 9:45am and didn't have to wait too long. The view was amazing! We were lucky enough to be seated by the water. As a first timer I was impressed with the staff, from being greeted, the seating, and the service. Thanks to the staff I had a great experience. Will be back again!

Yelp
Waited an hour for outside on a Saturday (day before Father's Day). They have a really nice waiting area and bar cart/coffee station to purchase drinks while waiting. When we got to our table the service started out fine. The food took a while but understandable. We started out with one server and I ordered the chilaquiles (red). The menu did not state spicy, or the server didn't give me a headed up, so I didn't know it was going to be spicy. I tried to eat a few bites and it just wasn't working. I like some heat but this was overboard. So another server came and asked how we were doing, and I told her my food was too spicy unfortunately it wasn't enjoyable. Then she came right back and dropped off the check with my chilequiles on the bill. I mentioned I thought she'd take it off the menu cus I couldn't eat it and the server said "I asked my manager and they said no". No manager came to the table.. the server name said "Naya S." on the check. They didn't care about service, they just wanted to turn the table. Needless to say I didn't have a good experience but it is a cute joint.
google avatar

Malissa N.

Yelp
I was recommended by my bestfriend who was based in Long Beach as a flight attendant! She mentioned this place multiple times! We went for brunch! We pulled up and walked to the front, maybe it was just weird timing. But there wasn't anyone there. Eventually we found someone and got seated. The waitress was extremely polite and helpful! Once the sun came out they covered us all with the big umbrellas! It was very thoughtful. Over all the food was good, I wasn't crazy about the eggs Benedict, I felt the sauce was off. But my date loved the sauce & said it was definitely good. One thing I thought was super unique was that you could go up and order any drink and wait for your table it created a really laid-back chill ambience . I would like to come back and try some more food, especially lunch !

Yelp
Schooner or Later is the spot my nephew wanted to try for his birthday. He is a fan of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives so he is always on the lookout for places Guy Fieri has gone to. I'm not sure if they made reservations, but we had a long 60 minutes wait before being seated at one of their outdoor tables. They were very very very busy that Sunday morning, and we were a large party of 12. Was Schooner or Later worth the wait? To the most important person (birthday celebrant) that day, it was well worth the wait. Personally, I thought that Schooner or Later was A-Okay. I ordered the "Mess". I had high hopes for this entree because it was featured on DDD. It is a blend of chopped ham, onion & bell pepper grilled w/ hash browns & eggs and topped with melted Cheddar cheese plus it is served with sourdough toast. It tasted average to me. No "Wow" factor. It seemed to lack something. Seems strange to say that especially since it already had so many ingredients inside this concoction. Maybe it could have used more seasoning to liven it up a bit. It was nice to visit here once. Maybe I'll be back for a return visit someday. The restaurant is located in a beautiful area.

Yelp
We visited Schooner or Later this week for breakfast. Fortunately, it was a beautiful morning as they only have outdoor seating. I ordered an off the menu item, chili cheese omelet and home style potatoes. Both were DELICIOUS. I did ask for grilled onions on my potatoes, I could have counted on my hand how many pieces of onions I got. I decided to drink their lemonade. That was also a hit! My wife loved her meal as well. Loved the service. Always around for all our needs. Can't wait to return.

Yelp
Went with my boyfriend and his parents to brunch, the bar on the patio was pouring amazing drinks. Once we got inside it was so watered down. After placing our orders, and noticing other people seated WELL after us, getting their food, I noticed the waitress frantically looking around talking to other waitresses, realizing they forgot about us and our orders. They blamed the computer system, and said our food would be right out, it came out after 4 more tables were served, and one table being the same exact order as us, who again had been sat well after us. Almost an hour waiting on food, only to get it and it be barely warm and flavorless Not sure if I'd go back. They weren't very apologetic and didn't seem to care much.

Yelp
The food was great, we enjoyed the ambiance outside for brunch. The service was great offering us mimosas.

Yelp
Was in the LBC with family for a mini golf tournament with my brother and niece. Decided to let them go at "the greens" while I dipped through and had breakfast. They're not breakfast people, I am. So they knew in advance once I did my diligence and got them there and provided the transportation, I would be tending to my stomach and its need. Marissa S was my server and customer service all start here. (CSA). Considering I must have been one of at least 4-6 tables she was set to take on and this morning's rush, I was more than impressed. Never once did her level of service or attentiveness wayne, and my coffee was constantly topped off.

Yelp
My friend lives in Belmont Shores and swears by this brunch spot. We ate outside which was perfect. There were a lot of people here, which tells me it must be good. We had brunch and all of our food was delicious. The wait staff were helpful, engaging and attentive. Great views, great friends and a great spot to have brunch.

Yelp
I'm finishing my breakfast leftovers from this morning as I write this review! I have to start by saying this is some of the best French toast I've had in a long time. And location, location, location. Our 45 minute wait only ended up being about 15 minutes. Service was nice. Portions were satisfying. Will be back next time I'm in the area

Yelp
My coworkers and I came here for breakfast after night shift. I got the mess, which I think is a dish they're known for, it's essentially just a scramble. I got the half portion but it was still a decent size! It was good. We sat outside and the view of the marina was nice, especially because it was a sunny morning. It started getting busy at 9am (we came on a Sunday).

Yelp
The food was hearty and comforting! Service was friendly, and the outdoor seating had a great relaxed atmosphere -- perfect for a sunny day. Everything came out quickly and the portions were generous.

Yelp
When we first got there the host basically ignored us and without saying a word grabbed menus and took us to the opposite side of the restaurant sitting where it was very windy. We asked him if we can sit in the sun since we have a baby and elder with us and it would be too cold there, he looked irritated and walked us back to the front desk. He did not tell us what the wait would be and went ahead and sat another table who had came after us in a sunny table and made us wait another 20 min to sit. We ordered the calamari which was very dry and a small portion, the buttermilk chicken salad (the chicken was incredibly hard and dry with very little salad dressing) and the fish and chips which were ok. Our waitress was very nice. The view was very beautiful by the bay but was overshadowed by our bad experience.

Yelp
Food was pretty good. The diners ambiance looked nice. The service was great. BUT!!!!! After starting to eat our food I noticed a few nasty things about this place. Whoever ordered anything with lettuce or tomato I'm sorry, there were flies all over that salad bar and it was disgusting! This needs to be reported. The cooks did not wash their hands in between touching dirty to clean plates. They really need more training on cleanliness. I'm going to assume she was the owner but she needs to do better! She had a neck fan and kept adjusting it so it meant she was hot and sweaty. She was touching money and cards for her transactions and then handing out plates to the servers through the lazy Susan window. Also, they were closing so they were prepping the muffins for the next day. The owner did not wash her hands after touching money and her fan. Going back to the muffins, she was touching them with her BARE HANDS!!!! you would she would put gloves on. And she was touching them from the muffin top and not the bottom wrapper. This is a place that's needs to be looked at behind the scenes because of what is going on the front it definitely is not better in the back.

Yelp
Custom breakfast sandwich with croissant, ham, cheddar, tomato, mayo, and over medium egg. Delicious! Next time I might ask for the thick cut ham steak in it instead of the ham deli meat, but it was still great nonetheless.

Yelp
First off I no longer live in LB, but when I did this was Saturday breakfast every week! Secondly a tip for newbies in a hurry, walk past the crowd waiting for outdoor seating, go inside and sit at the counter! No wait! Same great food and service. Paid a return visit this morning and it's still the best. Get the "Mess" with a side of spinach....yummy

Yelp
Go to brunch location for my friends and I! We love a big Bloody Mary or a big mimosa to start out our day. Service is quite fast and you can get in and out of there quickly. They have a large selection of breakfast and lunch. There's outdoor and indoor seating. Be aware that weekends are super busy and you will have to wait a while for a seat just because it's that popular and it's a great location next to an ocean view.

Yelp
Ever just grab a quick tequila sunrise on your morning walk through the Marina? Try it sometime. This place is iconic.
