What an amazing place. I came to get my dog who had escaped earlier in the day that the owner found and decided to try out this place and OMG! the pizza and beer were THE BEST I have ever had. -Live music was awesome -Staff were more nice than my friends -Food woulda made a new Yorker say "mama mia" I did not think I would find a place this awesome while I was visiting LA Verne. 11 out of 10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Google
Good spot for beers. They no longer do food trucks but the food was decent a bit on the pricey side

As a patron of this establishment for its length of being open (10 years) I have never been more disappointed in the way I was treated by the owner of the establishment. We took our kids to enjoy the live music on a Friday night and we were told that our kids were not welcome because they were not sitting still in chairs. I simply asked what the problem was and he stated that they can’t be running around. We had no problem having the kids stop running around but then he continued to say ridiculous things such as “people won’t sit over here because of your kids” and he also stated “this is why you don’t bring your kids to a brewery” which he has now questioning my parenting and that’s completely uncalled for. To sum it up this is not a family welcoming establishment.

Google
Actually I work right across the street from Old Stump. Every time I leave work they already have the music playing and usually a food truck ready to go. I love the beers they have on tap, I don't drink IPAs which I know people love so the fact that they have stuff I like like lagers and belgium style beers I appreciate greatly.

Google
If you enjoy spending time with your buddies or come as a couple, you'll love this spot. Staff are friendly and welcome you as you enter. They have live bands and play great music and serve lots of beer on tap. If you like the new school feel to a bar, then you will love this place. I say, give it a try.

Google
Loved it. We went here the other night for a ontario reign watch party. So many people there. They had a food in the back and 3 out of 4 TVs playing the game if this place wants more business they should start having watch parties often. Its cool spot to drink and hangout. They have an outside area with a stage. Its a big space. I think they have live music there sometimes. Service was A1. Cant complain. Go Reign

Google
This brewery is a great spot. There is a good nice crowd here and the staff are quick with service. There is a great selection of beers for everyone. I was served by Kaitlyn and she was amazing. She was polite, gave great suggestions, serviced the beer properly, and had a happy personality. The space is nice and wide open with plenty of seating. For special events they do get really busy. They have live bands on some nights, trivia, and other events.

Google
I met some friends at Old Stump Brewing Company last week and had a terrific time. We sampled different beers and all were outstanding. The five of us split four different pizzas from the Johnny Brown Pizza truck parked beside Old Stump. Believe it or not all the pizzas were surprisingly great! We sat outside in the covered shade and we were all very comfortable. Great beer, nice people and fun times!

Yelp
Great Brewery and ambiance. I came to see a Great Band called GRATITUDE! This was on a Sunday and they were great. Did Latin Rock and some RnB and Rock out back. Very hot that day it was packed. Hot dogs by Krazy Dogs and it was so busy they ran out of dogs. Beer line was long due to the crowd. But everybody was having a good time. I'd come back again to enjoy the Brewery and Band.

Yelp
Old Stump Friday night featuring "Red Hot Cholo Pepper." What a night! The band was great! Lots and lots of people, and the beer was flowing, my favorite was Blonde Conniption -nice light blonde with a crispy taste, sip all day beer. My guy had the P-town, nice malty, english style porter. They had food venders but we only tried the pizza " Fire Fresh," OMG was that delicious! We ordered the Johnny Brown which is pastrami, mustard, light pickles. Let me tell you, they cut the pastrami so nicely, it wasn't thick at all. The dough was sooooo good, and I'm a crust gal! Love good crusts.. They also had very talented artists there selling the original designs. Shout out to artist Alejandro Mendiola, his work is amazing. Another great outing at Old Stump!!

Yelp
I've never felt so unwelcome at a business. The women's restroom line was ridiculously long, and my husband suggested I use the men's since it was completely empty. I used the stall quickly and respectfully, and yet, staff came in and told us we needed to leave the brewery altogether just for that. It felt unfair and extreme, especially since this is California, where businesses are supposed to make reasonable accommodations for restroom access. Instead of handling the situation with understanding, they chose to kick out paying customers who were simply trying to avoid waiting in an unnecessarily long line. To make it worse, the men's restroom has urinals with no privacy dividers, which seems like a building code issue in itself. I would encourage Old Stump Brewery to rethink how they treat customers. A little compassion goes a long way, and until then, I cannot recommend this place.

Yelp
Great place for large groups. Plenty of inside and outside seating. Always a good playlist mix and beers are outstanding! My favorite is Tan Lines coconut Stout. The Honey Blonde was very refreshing on this hot day. Service was friendly and pours were quick! Rotating lunch trucks are here Fri-Sun
google avatar

Stevin F.

Yelp
I've been trying this location for several years off and on. The No Tan Lines stout is always my goto beer. It's always consistent in its flavor. They often have different lunch trucks on different days. Today they had Papas El Guero. I'm not too much into stuffed potatoes, but the food looked good. They often will have live music which is nice. Great staff and good times.

Yelp
Old Stump Brewery is a hidden gem in Pomona with a laid-back vibe and an impressive variety of craft beers. Whether you're into hoppy IPAs, smooth stouts, or something crisp and light, there's always something on tap to match your mood. The bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help you find your next favorite pour. The spacious outdoor patio is perfect for hanging with friends, playing some cornhole, or just enjoying the SoCal weather. They often have food trucks on-site, and live music adds to the energy without being overwhelming. Definitely a solid spot to kick back and unwind in the after hiking 10 miles at mt baldy

Yelp
The good...cool ambience and outside patio. The OK....some great bands (The Dogs), some not so great bands. Some great food trucks (Infused Roots) and some good food trucks. The bad...I'm a huge craft beer fan and every single beer I've had here is mediocre. I've never had a great beer. For example see the attached picture of what is supposed to be a nitro Irish Stout. No nitro. Zero. Very light in color and flavor. Every hazy ipa I've had is lacking in the juicy flavor one expects in a hazy. Bottom line, come here for a fun time but don't come here for the beer.
google avatar

Jasmin M.

Yelp
Rude, bald security guard. He yelled at us when trying to find parking near entrance. Came on very strong. he made us reconsider even going in with being so aggressive and unwelcoming. Despite the unnecessary & vibe killing interaction it's a good spot, workers were nice and efficient, been going there for years with family and friends, had live music on Saturday, sat along the bar and spotted the brewery cat
google avatar

Loren H.

Yelp
What I had: - Show me your melons ($8) - 2020 Juan ($8) - Blood orange seltzer ($8) - White peach seltzer ($8) - Nitro milk stout ($8) How it tasted: - Everything was decently tasty. The seltzers aren't my favorite, but I'd definitely go back for any blondes or stouts. Why did I give it a four? - Good prices, good vibes, and a wide selection. They have bands play occasionally along with a changing list of food vendors to come along, which creates a great outdoor space. Verdict? - Give it a shot.

Yelp
Good beer, good service, The environment here is elegant, the atmosphere is really good, and there are music performances. It is worth recommending
google avatar

Yelp
Chill brewery to meet up with friends! They have plenty selections of beer! There's an outside and inside area to sit. Very spacious I love it. They have live band on Sundays and they have food vendors that come by. Today it was Krazy dogs and it was so satisfying! Can't wait to come again. Affordable pricing not to bad.
google avatar

Edward M.

Yelp
The service was very knowledgeable describing taste of brews. Food truck and great food. Got the brisket nachos. Yum yum. Really chill feel and relaxed Ambiance with great vibes.
google avatar

Michelle I.

Yelp
Great vibes every time! Awesome little food truck that serves fresh pizza to order. Great selection of beers love the decor and atmosphere inside the brewery. Keep coming back every time I'm in town!
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
Environment was great - good music- good beer- good food all around good times - would recommend

Cynthia M.

Yelp
Cool spot. Good beer. Have been to many neighboring beer places and some aren't as good.
google avatar

Tony H.

Yelp
This place is big, perfect brewery if you're coming with a lot of people or even want to host a party since there's tons of seating and a good amount of parking in the lot and the surrounding side streets. Like most breweries they have rotating food trucks for eating options, and a good variety of beers from the light lager styles to ipa's and stouts. They have a four beer flight option you can purchase if you want to try a small variety of what they haves
google avatar

Becky F.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! Definitely a fun place to come with friends. We came on a Saturday and they had a live band outside that was really good! The beers and seltzers are delicious - I highly recommend the blood orange seltzer or No Tan Lines Coconut Milk Stout. The prices were super reasonable too. The slushy machine was down when we went which was such a bummer but we'll just have to come back to give it a shot. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food truck that was there when we went was mediocre which would probably be my only gripe. I can't remember what the truck was called but they put teriyaki sauce on everything and I mean EVERYTHING! We ordered a mozzarella stick grilled cheese sandwich and it came with teriyaki sauce on top. Super random. But that wouldn't stop me from coming back - everything else was awesome!

Yelp
There's a local brewery that I have been going to for a few years. They have good selections of beers and entertainment on the weekends. Come alone or meetup with friends for a place with a cool vibe, good service, fair prices and they are dog-friendly too. I usually stay for a couple of beers, but I have also stopped by to pickup a growler to go. During the pandemic, they managed to survive by partnering with a food truck or caterer to offer tasty food. The Dept of Public Health allowed beer to be served, if food was available. Simply buy a meal, they issue you a receipt that you show at the counter to order your drink. This is axcasual spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Come on over and don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya!!
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
If you're looking for a fun spot to gather with friends and family, this local brewery is a nice location. It offers a cool vibe, good service, and fair prices. They have a great beer selection. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating, it's perfect for groups. Food-wise, they provide food through vendors or food trucks, and the wait can be a bit long at times. I would recommend either grabbing a snack from the brewery or actually eating food before you arrive.
google avatar

Keerthi D.

Yelp
Old Stump Brewing is a brewery that's great for large events - it has lots of seating good vibes. There's plenty of parking in the lots in front and nearby other stores. The lines can get long if there's a big event though, so be prepared! The food alternates based on the trucks that are there. The size of the tacos and quesadillas are small but tasted okay.
google avatar

Tony C.

Yelp
Old Stomp is a staple to the city of Pomona. Good beer and good food. A lot of locals having a good time listening to good live band is a plus. Service is always good. Everyone at the counter is always smiling and very welcoming.
google avatar

Noemi S.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years. It's mine and my family's favorite overall brewery. It's spacious inside and outside. Still loving the vibes, the featured food (FIREPIZZA on Fridays is my favorite), & the LIVE music! Even when they don't have live music the playlist is always on point ! The service has improved throughout the years. The security is an awesome addition! The bartender I mentioned on my previous review, those many years ago, still works here however, he's not rude anymore. He's actually pretty cool. Maybe he just had a bad day that time. We're human? Right. I'm sad the Nut Job beer is not here anymore however, there are many other options to choose from. They range from $7-$8 each as of 2024. (My go to is rusty gasket.) You can come alone, with friends, or family. Pets are allowed. It's for everyone! (Don't forget to follow them on Instagram for all their weekly food and entertainment updates.) Thank you Old Stump for creating such a wonderful place for the community to enjoy.

Yelp
Several months ago, the hubby and I had an old stump blonde at a local bar so we decided to go to the actual brewery. The location is nice, spacious, and good blend of indoor/outdoor set up. A live band was playing and pizza truck was on site, so we excitedly ordered two honey blondes and sat near the band. The beer was bland and lacked taste, there was no honey or clover undertones. I had a blonde and the hubby the Mexican lager for our second beer and you couldn't taste any difference. The beer was major disappointment. The worse part was beer served in plastic cups. I prefer cold beer served in cold glasses that keep the beer cooler for longer periods of time. The band was mediocre, they struggled to find their groove and the sound system was lacking. We split a pizza and it was pretty good, that was the best part of the experience. The place was packed, so it seems it's quite popular, so maybe we got bad batches of beer. Who knows?
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere, surprisingly Blonde Watermelon was my favorite! Great band tonight!
google avatar

Kendrick C.

Yelp
This was a spot where I was a regular during graduate school. My friends and I loved the drinks here especially the Show Me Your Melons. It essentially tasted like a watermelon jolly rancher. They're almost always showing whatever sports games are on so it was easy to catch and the bartenders were always willing to give samples and suggestions.
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Old Stump is THE brewery. Whenever I go to a brewery I always compare it to Old Stump, I use it as the model for what I'm looking for. It is very spacious, there are tables inside and outside (with heaters). They have a list of rotating food trucks and live music to enjoy while sipping beers with friends. The beers not only have creative names where you can ask the host for Double D's or the Hugh Hef-eweizen, but they are really solid tasting. You cannot go wrong with any choice, I recommend the Hugh hef, or one of their blondes.
google avatar

Allison A.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Very dog friendly inside and outside. The beer is delicious. I had a hazy ipa and my husband loved the coffee blonde. The staff were so friendly and even gave our dog a treat. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Robert E.

Yelp
Good beer. Live bands. Sports on TV. Clean restrooms. Quality food vendors. Overall good experience

Joey P.

Yelp
Great spot and location. A lot of live events and tons of indoor and outdoor space. They have a great selection of beer but their Rusty Gasket is the best Red beer in SoCal.

Samuel E.

Yelp
Talked to employees about how loud the music was and they got disrespectful about it!! Really great beer but the music is insane! Way too loud. They don't want you to hold a conversation. They played music at top volume and we just had to basically yell at each other to hold a conversation and it's at a ridiculous level. Disappointing. They are rude and disrespectful and can care less about customer service by the end of the night
google avatar

Monica L.

Yelp
Beer choices are fabulous!! IPA is my choice but they have tasty options for all. The barkeep was unfriendly and the chairs were uncomfortable and it was filled with kids running around the tables tonight. I don't really get parents bringing kids to a drinking only place.
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
Beer all tastes the same, feel like the the taps need to be cleaned more often. Also it always smells like cigarettes or cigars so it's gross when you are trying to eat or enjoy a beer. The owner is okay with the smoking because when I told him about it he says he allows it and he also smokes his cigars here. I personally don't understand why people think it's okay to smoke around others. Smoking is your choice and your choice alone no one else should be breathing it in unwillingly.

Chris H.

Yelp
We went there for a party on a Sunday and we found several negatives about this business. One we paid money for a private area and the servers could have made a lot of money for the business but made the party walk all the way around. They don't need a dedicated bartender but it would have been easy for them to ask if we wanted a beer. Servers were not happy people. Second they basically booted us out as if the bar was on fire. Third. The beer is not very good Fourth, the music was not very good and it was super loud. Unless its policy or law, I think the owner should know they lost a lot of sales by having workers that weren't very proactive
google avatar

Carrie A.

Yelp
This is our go to brewery when we call a friend and say "let's go to THE brewery", they are very welcoming, the staff is knowledgeable about the beers, quick in the pours and cleanups, friendly about questions and much more. The food trucks are always good too. And they have live music! What more can you ask for?

Yelp
In the past, I used to drop off and pick up people to and from here for rides. Last night was the first night when I actually went in. My daughter and I were excited that the Ontario Reign was hosting a hockey playoff watch party. It was sure a big turnout! I was the first Reign fan here at 4:50 PM to watch another hockey game that was on from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. Upon entering this establishment, it was really clean outside and inside. The vibe in here is pretty cool as the west side interior was inside, and the east side interior was actually tented, but outside. I am not an alcohol drinker, but they had plenty of drinks for $1.00 each, so I got 4 while I was here. The drinks were 2 water bottles, 1 can of Sprite, and one can of Arizona green tea. My daughter had 1 water and 1 can of coke as she was not here as long as I was. For food, they had a catered place called Nomambres. I was their first order, and I got the 3 mild hot chicken tenders and fries. They were really good. My wait time was only about 8 minutes. My daughter was one of the last to order, and her wait time ended up being 1 hour and 45 minutes for an Angry Chick chicken sandwich. I told her the wait would be long, but we didn't think it would be that too long. Her sandwich was huge for $14 and good value for size. We had a great time being with all the Reign fans at this watch party, even though we lost :( For future reference, we're not sure, but on watch party nights that maybe 2 vendors at least should be there? Also, another idea is that are we able to bring in our own food as long as drinks are still bought? We definitely would come back. It is a great atmosphere when watching games!!!
google avatar

Vanessa F.

Yelp
A good spot with lots of seating inside and out. Staff are friendly. They have a good variety of beers, and different food trucks out each day. They have a small parking lot, and then there's parking around the place after business hours. Just be careful because it's easy to scrape the bottom of your car pulling into the spots.
google avatar

Lety S.

Yelp
Came back for the best brews in Pomona ;) Chicas try the Summer IPA 6.0 it's so refreshing and smooth with a kick in the heart if you just can't decide (digo yo) lol!!The Lonch Truck was on fire with their delicious Sea Food Feast this Labor Day Septiembre 4, 2023! The Band was too good for the venue, my opinion jejeje! The Vbra' was Cool, Calm, Enjoy the Day Off!
google avatar

Jay T.

Yelp
A band called "Those Guys" played Saturday night and they were AMAZING!! They played every genre of music and played it well!!! We went from stopping by for a delicious Honey Blonde Ale to rocking out to the band til closing time. Those Guys have a new fan!
google avatar

Starla M.

Yelp
Went here for the first time with some friends on a Saturday. Pros: decent prices, lots of space, live band performances, food truck Cons: long line at almost all times, no water stations which was honestly a big con for me as most breweries have this. I may come back if I'm invited but it didn't stick out too much from the average brewery.
google avatar

Harley Q.

Yelp
One of the better stouts I've had. The No Tan Lines has a hint of coconut. Definitely a treat for your taste buds. I really liked this brewery. I went on a Wednesday night, so it wasn't as full as I assume it is on weekends. Parking isn't the best, but it's not the worst either Live music, great food.

Victoria M.

Yelp
Stopped in to Stumps Brewery on a Sunday afternoon. They had a band "Sunglasses at midnight" was a great 80'sish and 90's ish band.. cool music. The lunch truck was Bootleggers which was delicious too. The ambience was great, service at the beer counter was just ok, nothing exciting there.. The lunch truck was awesome!! Over all, nice!! Will definitely be back!'
google avatar

Ted R.

Yelp
The beer, they don't change their in over two years, looks like they lost their brewmaster.

Angie ..

Yelp
Is it really necessary to play the music so loud or you can't even hear yourself speak. It's almost like you're trying to take your customers out.
google avatar

Juan S.

Yelp
Came in for the first time. We had passed by many times. First I can believe how big area is. Plenty of room you don't feel cramped. Met some friends here had a good time. I'm not a beer drinker but others in my party enjoyed.
google avatar

Daniel V.

Yelp
I love Old Stump. It is a large Brewery with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and a lot of parking in surrounding companies. The beer is delicious. Their IPA options are great! They have food trucks and live music too!
google avatar

Kelly G.

Yelp
Beer is great! Been coming here for a few years now, but the ambience, aka Matt and Nicole, is gone. Probably won't make it back in: so sad, it was great while it lasted!
google avatar

Sheldon A.

Yelp
I enjoy the atmosphere of this place and the proximity to home. They have a variety of good food trucks that come here. My only gripe is that they really don't have a rotating tap. It's pretty much the same beers every time you come in, regardless of the time of year. Otherwise, it's pretty solid.
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite local brewery. The selection of beer is great. Currently, my favorite is the Summer IPA. When I'm in the mood for something a little more hoppy, I'll go for the Mosey Cat. And when I really feel like having a good time, I'll do a Double D's. Service is good. The brewery stays pretty busy, especially during the weekends. The bar staff is efficient and fast so the lines move quick. The brewery hosts events pretty frequently, such as a St. Patrick's day party and they have bands come and play every weekend, I believe. Overall, this really is a fantastic local brewery. Haven't found another one around the area that I like as much as I like Old Stump.
