Excellent and flavorful food all around! Loved the Naan and Pratha, got both with cheese and onion! Veggie Samosa, Veggie Fried Rice, White Rice, Chicken Biryani, Lamb Kebob, and Chicken Tikka Masala are all fantastic as well, particularly loved the savory and tender perfectly-seasoned lamb! Orders over $30 come with complimentary Kheer, which is great, and we got the Gulab Jamun as well, which is excellent!

I was craving something warm in the winter, and the curry was so comforting and delicious. I also ordered ginger tea because I felt like I might be coming down with a cold, and it was incredibly tasty and made me feel much better. Next time, I’ll come back with my wife. It was such a great experience.

Google
This place was great! We got vegetable samosas, goat pasanda curry, roti with butter, and mango juice. They even gave us a complimentary mango yogurt drink since I wasn’t sure which one to choose. Will definitely come back!

I was traveling from out of town, and with a free schedule decided to stop in to Rajput Indian Eats for a late lunch. It did not disappoint, the food was phenomenal, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very homey. When I make my next trip down to Chesapeake, I will certainly be stopping here again!

Brought my boyfriend and his mom here so she could try Indian food for the first time. Very friendly and attentive staff, food was delicious at a fair price. I enjoyed it and would definitely order from here again ❤️

I am usually afraid to order Indian food because it can be spicy. But I was passing by this place with my husband and the advertisement said they had vegan and vegietarian options. So I stopped in for an order. The interior was very clean. Everything was organized neatly. The forks spoons and knives all had wraps. The fridge had no spills or stains and everything was organized well. The service was speedy. It was around 12:45 when I went in. Its a lot like Chipotle where you tell them what you want as you move down the line. The server wore clean white gloves and was very helpful. Then they gave me a complementary mango juice drink since it was my first time there. The food is very well portioned for the prize. Its not skimpy. The mango juice was amazing!!! I usually avoid mango drinks because of the texture. I don't like thick drinks since I get confused with "do I chew first and swallow or swallow?" But this juice was perfectly thin, while maintaining the integrity of the mango taste. It was definitly mango, but not so thick that I felt the need to chew. It was spectacular. The food 😋 😍 👌 🙌. I have found my new favorite vegan vegitarian restaurant. To my pleasant surprise, the food is not spicy. It is so enjoyable with a plethora of flavors. And the best part is that it is dairy free and vegietarian friendly. Overall, I had an extremly pleasant experience.

Google
Rajput is the most solid Indian Restaurant in all of the Greenbrier area and even Hampton Roads! Their service, atmosphere and Music gives you an authentic taste of Indian Culture. The first thing you'll notice is the smell of immaculately created food, truly artists of the culinary field. The next is the friendly and professional staff and service! Unrivaled and uncomaparible! They will answer all your questions and are very newbie friendly. You'll feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door! They also do takeout so you can have an extraordinary date night, or enjoy the amazing and detailed dishes at home! I will definitely make this spot a major date night spot every couple of weekends. 10/10- Rajput, you will be seeing my business and a cleaned off plate often!!! 👏👏👏

Google
Fantastic “all you can eat” lunch buffet! Enjoyed tasting a bit of all the selections. Decided on butter chicken, yum. Great variety of flavorful Indian dishes, fresh naan, and tasty desserts—all at a very affordable price. Perfect spot for a quick, delicious, and satisfying meal. They offer full menu as well. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
We've had the pleasure of experiencing Rajput Indian Eats' incredible menu countless times. Each visit is a culinary journey that transports us straight to the heart of India, and we find it hard to pick a favorite because everything simply tastes so good! Highly recommend if you are in the area. Butter Chicken, Cauliflower Manchurian, Garlic Naan & Samosas.

Yelp
We as driving by the other day and saw a sign for Indian Buffet.... Since I have never tried this Reataurant out, I thought it would be a good way to try out various foods. First impressions.. the place is very small. Their buffet claimed to have 25 items, but that is misleading as it also includes the condiments... and it was not self serve. What really disappointed me was that they wanted $21 for this small buffet.... Not worth it especially when you have a larger Indian buffet down the street for a cheaper price.... I ended up going with the special of the day which was a bowl of rice with 2 sides.. went with the palak and the chicken tikka masala.... The food taste was pretty good, flavor was great, qty could have been a little bit bigger.... The only negative here is that the food is stored cafeteria style, so it was a little on the cold side.... and the side of chia I did not care for.... Would have preferred to have nan bread... Service was great, the person there was friendly, explained the options, etc.. Although this place was not for me.. I do recommend others to try it out..

Yelp
Rajput India Eats is a fantastic family-owned fast casual dining spot in the Greenbriar area of Chesapeake. Decor is simple with Indian theme. The food is amazing. This is on my rotation of locally owned family spots to grad dinner. Entrees are in the $18-$20 dollar range and are enough food to have leftovers. **Pro tip** Re-heating your leftovers with an egg or two the next morning makes a phenomenal Indian eggs in purgatory. My favorites are: Tikka Masala, Korma, Madras, Vindaloo, Rogan Josh, and Chicken 65. There are also vegetarian and vegan options as well. Rajput's also has a small buffet and quick service options. Spice level is on a 1-5 scale, I prefer 3, it's enough to make your lips tingle, warm your mouth, and help clear the sinuses, but not kill your taste buds. recommend a 2 or 3 for rookies. For beverages, aside from the assortment of soda, Rajput's also had Indian beers, Mango Lasse (favorite), and teas.

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week to check it out and it was phenomenal!! Got the samosa, medium butter chicken, gulab jamun, and some naan. It was great! Empty while we were there and service was speedy! Enough food for me to have extra to bring home.

Michael D.

Yelp
Food was delicious and service was superb! From the moment I walked in to pick up my order I felt welcome.

Yelp
Horrible delivery experience, waiting over an hour for foood that never showed up. This restaurant needs to find another preferred online delivery provider. Ordered food at 6:30 pm and just got a cancellation at 7:45 PM by the provider (who has my dinner) that the order is cancelled. I'm pissed.

Yelp
Indian restaurants that I have been to are sit down with full service. This particular Indian restaurant you order at the counter and sit down eat and clean your own table. The service and staff are still wonderful and they even came over to see how we liked their food. They have a good size menu. Different than what I am use to. They are geared towards Wraps, Bowls, and Platters. Prices at first seem a bit High but when they brought us our food it was HUGE. We ordered way to much. But it was delicious. We got a to go box and took 1/2 of everything home. We could only eat 1/2 between both my husband and myself. I am so thankful The NAAN Wrap comes with instructions on how you build it. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala and then built it just like instructed. Wait till you see the fantastic picture. I just want to say. If you do not want 3 sauces then do like I did. I only picked 2 because that was perfect for me. My husband wanted Small Plates (street food). Some of the options we had never heard of before so We let the staff pick and it was fantastic. We did not realize that we would get so much Puffed white bread and NAAN bread. So don't do like we did and order an extra NAAN. You will have plenty of the puffed white bread. PLENTY. Our drinks we got were a Mango Lassi. smooth and creamy, super sweet and a bit tart. Really good. we also got Avocado Yogurt shake. It was more of a yogurt tart flavor but we could not really taste the avocado to much. It was still good just not my favorite. We will try something different next time. Small seating, small restaurant, clean and we did see people ordering to go. Just letting you know small tables. Our table had 4 chairs but honestly with all of our big plates of HUGE food it was a 2 person table. Just FYI

Yelp
Delicious! Everything we got was so flavorful. We chose to eat our food there, and loved everything. I had the butter chicken, and the chicken itself was outstanding; add the sauce in and it was perfection. My husband had the lamb vindaloo. He ordered a 3/5 spiciness level but said it was more like a 2/5 and he'd like to order it hotter next time. The samosas were generously sized and tasty. Friendly service. Clean restaurant. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
Their food is fresh, tastes amazing! Service staff is wonderful, he even helped me choose the right spice level for my food. I went early for lunch and it was peaceful. I really enjoyed my meal, will definitely come back for more.

Yelp
Rajput is one of our favorite restaurants to go to as a family. There food choices are copious and the food is authentic. Some of my favorite dishes are Chana masala, Butter chicken and Saag (Spinach) chicken. The owner and his son are super friendly and they are always open to any type of feedback. There buffets are excellent! The food is always warm and the waiters are always waiting to greet their customers with a smile and a nice hot meal. We simply love Rajput; delicious food, excellent service, what's not to like. Thank you Rajput Restaurant and team; we love you guys! A.S. Chaudhry

Yelp
Awesome food, I can't get enough of the Chicken Tikka Masala! The service is always friendly and fast!

Yelp
Rajput Indian Eats is my favorite Indian food places in Chesapeake! With it getting colder outside I started with a Chai Tea. It was so tasty, smooth and spice, and perfect like a warm hug. Then I ordered some Samosas which came with the tamarind and mint sauce. So good! I went on and ordered Garlic naan and chicken tikka masala! Food always comes out warm and fresh. It's like a home cooked me, no joke! Really is! Staff is friendly and always check to see that all is good. I love the decor , especially the showcasing of the spices and the tv that depicts the Owner on a cooking show sharing his expertise. Last but not least I got my refreshing mango lassi. Delicious! Rajputs is one of my favorites go to places. Try it ! It's amazing and you will never be disappointed!

Yelp
Butter bone-in chicken with basmati rice and side of garlic Naan bread was *chef's kiss*! Will definitely be going back!

Yelp
Located off of Greenbrier parkway at the Crossways shopping center is an indian restaurant I visited. They have 3 locations with the two Rajput Indian Cuisine restaurants in Norfolk and Suffolk that have phenomenal unlimited buffet options. I was surprised that this particular location didn't have the buffet option but they make their naan and food fresh in house. This place is called Rajput Indian Eats unlike the other branches that are known as Rajput Indian Cuisine. On my visit to Rajput Indian Eats, I was blown away by the quality of the food. The sauce was absolutely amazing and really made the dishes stand out. I recommend the mango chutney and the mango lassi. The lamb tikka masala was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of spice. The lamb was also incredibly tender and flavorful, and the naan was soft and fluffy. it came piping hot out of the oven. My order of basmati rice wasn't enough for me and the family so I had to order more rice. But the real standout dish for me was the butter chicken. It was hands down the best I've ever had. The sauce was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. I couldn't get enough of it! The service was also top-notch. The staff was friendly and attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. We managed to get our tables together to fit our group of 6. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Indian food with great sauce. The chicken tikka masala, lamb, naan, and butter chicken are all must-tries!
google avatar

Theresa M.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my mango lassi , very refreshing and tasty! The naan was delicious, too - came out hot and fresh! The place was busy but the owner and staff still found time to be friendly and helpful and welcoming! Check them out!

Yelp
2.5 stars...rounded down. Perhaps I'm more discerning than other reviewers. Perhaps it is because I've recently eaten at better Indian Restaurants. This location of Rajput (there are others) is in a busy strip mall. Parking and vehicle congestion was a problem directly in front of the doors. When you enter, the appearance is small, but then you'll see the footprint is deep. There is seating along the depth of the walls. A black & white menu is photocopied and placed on a counter near the door. Take one to a table if you want to sit immediately. These "menus" are with plastic cutlery, paper napkins, and straws. You might as well set your own table while you are there. I preferred to stand at the counter and read the large color menu displayed on LED monitors. I stepped up to the counter to order chicken curry ($17.95) and paratha. The employee informed me they are out of paratha. Isn't an advantage of digital menus the ability to quickly change it? I disappointingly ordered basil naan ($4.50) instead. The food arrived and only then did I realize I have to set my own table. So back to the counter with the photocopied menus and it's plastic ware. The food itself appeared good. Good color, hot, freshly prepared. But it was all served in plastic bowls, plastic plates, and on a plastic tray (think institutional cafeteria.) For the price, I was expecting traditional Indian handi pots and karahi bowls. Metal. Maybe not hand hammered, but certainly not plastic on plastic. The curry sauce was delicious, both flavorful and steamy. Large chunks of pulled chicken white meat were bathed in it. White meat. Dry white meat. The rice was not proper basmati. It was somewhere between basmati and long grain. I'm not exactly sure what it was. I overheard someone at a nearby table exclaiming how his food was delicious. Perhaps. But as I stated earlier, I've eaten at more than one better Indian restaurant recently. I think each of those rated 4 or 5 stars? Sadly, my experience at Rajput didn't rank.

Mark B.

Yelp
What a great spot. Food was fresh and everything we ate was delicious. The women behind the counter recommended this fried cauliflower dish that was incredible. I will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Everything was full of flavor and delicious!! Service was great and the place was clean. Would definitely go again.

Yelp
Thank you for opening Indian Restaurant in Chesapeake. Chesapeake really needed a Indian restaurant. I like the Modern and New unique concept. Phenomenal service and delicious food. A overall wonderful experience. The staff is extremely attentive, professional and very friendly. Every single dish was extraordinary, well seasoned, delicious and savory. The chicken tikka masala was my favorite and roti/naan were freshly cooked.

David P.

Yelp
A good place to grab some good Indian food! The wait staff is probably one of the most attentive that you could ever encounter!
google avatar

Melissa D.

Yelp
The food is amazing! Very flavorful. Would appreciate more drink options , only found bottles water and bottled Coca Cola. Very small inside. Very clean restaurant.

Annalise T.

Yelp
I don't have enough good things to say about the food, service, and atmosphere of this Indian fusion place! Blending classic South Asian spices, all of the food is packed with flavor and oozing culture. Being of South Asian heritage myself, I come here whenever I want authentic flavors. And don't forget a Mango Lassi to cut the spice and wash everything down!!

Danielle P.

Yelp
Food is always delicious. Fresh and the seasonings are good. The curry is amazing. I also had the tandoro chicken kebabs it is made fresh and worth the 15 min wait. Great portions for the money. Definitely recommend

G N.

Yelp
5 stars are for the freshness and unique taste of every dish we ordered. I could do with a 4.5 as their bhathura was a bit undercooked but from Shahi Paneer(highly recommend) to Chana masala to Kadhai paneer, all had unique flavors. The icing on the cake was their naans, which were thoroughly cooked but soft. Two pieces of advice I have for the owners is that your menu is overly complicated. Half a dozen groups who came in around the same time all spent a long time starting at the menu. Secondly, either use all disposable or all washable utensils. Hopefully the water temperature in your bathroom sinks are fixed!!
google avatar

Mela B.

Yelp
So I recently returned to try their lunch special. Unfortunately, I found out they discontinued it. However, I got their thali platter and it was still a generous amount of food. And they were kind enough to give me naan over the chips. But maybe I shouldn't say this or they may take that away ?? Lol. Anyways I posted my huge platter with naan. It was $23 total with the large mango lassi (no tip. Gave that the first time but seeing how it's cafeteria style where you clear your own, I'm more likely to maybe just contribute a dollar or 2 in the tip jar instead. ) I got the chicken tikka masala which was delicious and which I thought tasted more flavorful than the butter chicken. It was a very filling meal and I didn't even get all the sides and salads I could have had.
google avatar

April Rose T.

Yelp
Get the Butter Chicken Rice bowl! It is so good. I added a side of Naan and got to try their ginger chai tea! Omg the ginger chai tea is amazing and the customer service is even better.
google avatar

Michelle E.

Yelp
Oh! This is legit! Their food is very tasty and my favorite was butter chicken and chicken curry! During lunch you can get a platter of two/three mains and choose your own sides! I also like their Naan particularly their garlic ones!. Their service is good! We love it here!
google avatar

Krystle K.

Yelp
If you enjoy Indian food or are just curious and want to try some for the first time you need to go check out Rajput Indian Eats. They bring a new concept to Indian food with their create your own bowls, wraps and plates. The bread is cooked on a made to order based and is always warm. The ingredients used are plentiful and very fresh. Plus they have a great selection of teas, wine, beer and drinks. My top choices were the Vegetable Curry Bowl, Chicken Thali Platter and the Foot Long Paneer(Cheese) Naan Wrap. Everything was so well seasoned and flavorful! The owner Paul and staff are so pleasant and will help you decide on what to order. It is a relaxed atmosphere and the perfect place to try a favorite dish or something new.
google avatar

Ruth F.

Yelp
The food is amazing. The service is even better, seriously the nicest folks. The restaurant itself is perfect for a quick meal. Have you ever had a quick table meal like moes? Probably. The food is heavy and you've got to roll yourself back to your car. I did have to do that last night, I was full and happy, but the food was light. How is saucy rice light? Don't ask me, it's magic. My husband and I got the same thing, a bowl with Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken, rice w/ veggies, cucumber mix, chickpeas, and corn. I got yogurt sauce, a green sauce, and a brown sauce on the side. I really liked the yogurt and green sauce. We also got 2 samosas, how are POTATOES light? Magic. My girls are a bit picky, they got naan and mango sauce, it was gone. To finish off our meal we got some Chai tea which was probably the best I've ever had. We will most certainly be back.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Not great; I had higher expectations. Waited an hour for my to-go order to be ready. Way under staffed, especially for being lunchtime shortly after their grand opening. Only 1 girl working the front to take and make orders, wait tables, answer the phone, and run the cash register. There were 2 guys in the kitchen cooking. Store was nice, but seems like it's filled with repurposed equipment. Then finally received my order, seriously lacking in flavor for Indian cuisine. They have a good concept of build your own bowl, but the taste needs work. Same goes for the price. Way over priced for what your getting. Not even a comparison to the food you get at Biryani Hub, on E Virginia Beach Blvd. If your looking for good food go to Biryani Hub, I'll meet you there!
google avatar

Shelby I.

Yelp
Great food, awesome service. Will definitely be coming back. Staff is very kind and attentive, and will explain how to order and how everything works. Food came out in a timely manner and was FIRE!
google avatar

Lexington B.

Yelp
Definitely needed an Indian Food restaurant in this area. The food is fresh and delicious. So many options which is going to require multiple visits lol. Don't mind coming back at all. All I recommend is they label the food so people aren't asking Everytime. The Orange & Yogurt drink is amazing!
google avatar

Roxy L.

Yelp
First time in this restaurant. Went in for lunch. Food was delicious. The place is clean. Waiter was polite and attentive. Definitely will be back soon.
google avatar

Katherine B.

Yelp
Stopped in for some vegan tikka masala, it was delicious, cute little place and great service.

Basel B.

Yelp
The food was good, nothing to brag about Rice was not tasty as I have experienced in a different restaurant.
google avatar

Joanna B.

Yelp
Great masala! Owner is very kind and helpful New concept in Indian Food, many different flavors to try!
google avatar

Haley N.

Yelp
We were so surprised by this place. The service was outstanding and the food was so good we ordered extra to take home for later. Highly, HIGHLY recommend.

Alyssa W.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Best Indian we have had since moving. We ordered delivery and everything was delivered promptly and was still warm!
google avatar

Napre T.

Yelp
Just left Rajput, my first time eating there. The food is so good! I ordered Dahl Puri and butter chicken. The Dahl puri didn't even make it out the parking lot. The service was awesome, definitely will be back.
google avatar

Rahul S.

Yelp
Definitely not the same taste or vibe as the spot in Norfolk. It was a very okay experience and less than okay taste. Spice levels were a joke. Wendy's spicy chicken nuggets have more heat than the "Indian hot" vindaloo; and I'm not sure why everything we tried had an overwhelming sweetness to it. As an Indian, I have to say that this is barely passable as Indian food. It's like the Taco Bell of Indian food.

Amy P.

Yelp
Food is delish. Spot on wonderful mostly. Samosas aren't as good as some other places are are just ok. $3 for one seems a lot. Their butter chicken and vindaloo and naan is REALLY good though. It's a little expensive for no table service though. I wish they had a soda fountain or at least free water. They only have bottled drinks including water - which makes it a thirsty affair. Overall would recommend though. Loss of star mostly for value vs cost and the drink situation.
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
Best Indian food around. Worked here for awhile and got this once a week. Wish they'd start a punch card program
google avatar

Christina G.

Yelp
I've been to several Indian restaurants here in VA and in other states. I think the first big difference is Rajput is not overly spicy, which you may or may not like. I think it's just spicy enough to get a taste of Indian but not be scary. If you've ever wanted to try Indian but weren't sure about this spice, this is a great first step. I like the build your own option because you can try different things and it's fast. The portion size isn't huge though, for the price (around $15 for me) it could be disappointing but it was plenty for me at lunch. The inside is clean and looks nicely decorated. The staff seemed to be in training a bit so it was a little unorganized but I understand that because they just opened. I work near the Chesapeake location so it was very convenient. I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Rachel W.

Yelp
Yum! This place is delicious. All of your Indian food favorites in a fast chipotle/cava fashion. My husband had the platter with butter chicken, chili tofu, fried basmati rice, lentils and lots of little toppings. I opted for a bowl with basmati rice, chicken tikka, Chana masala, and lots of toppings. They serve your meal with a little cup of lentil chips which were light and crispy scooping spoon. We also got garlic naan and a cup of chai. I was very happy with my order and how deliciously the flavors melded together as I munched away on the bowl. Everything was tasty and fresh. We may have had the freshest and best garlic naan of our lives. It was piping hot when they brought it out. They seem to still be working a few new business kinks out with service and checkout but it was not bad at all. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Alan T.

Yelp
We tried the curry bowel and thali platter. Foods were good unfortunately the portion size is too small for the price you paid. I hope they will change that, otherwise I doubt anyone willing to pay $17-18 dollars for lunch and not full.
google avatar

Ashley T.

Yelp
I wish I had taken a picture before I devoured everything! This place is absolutely amazing and the service is excellent! The portions are perfect enough for just a little bit of leftovers. The spice level is of your choice between 1-5, and 3 is very spicy for those who are sensitive to it. I've already eaten here three times and it's the best Indian cuisine I've found in the area. It reminds me of back home in Jersey where the Indian cuisine was incredible. 100% recommend!
google avatar

Teresa P.

Yelp
The ordering system is confusing, as you are supposed to order some things ahead beside the curry bowl or wrap, but since they just opened they will surely change that. I waited in line about 25 minutes due to the ordering procedure confusion, and they only had 2 people doing everything. The samosas were the best I've ever had! That was their saving grace, since the chicken bowl was 13.95 and didn't even come with naan which is sold separately. The tikka masala was okay and veggies were okay. They were a little bland, and overall they're prices are expensive for what you get. We would have been better off going to Rasoi or Nawab for what we paid. I will be going back for the samosas though!

Yelp
The bomb.com outstanding!!!! Flavor, portions, price, and service.... All 5 stars. Yummmmmmm

Yelp
Good service. Love it here thank you soo much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
