The 17 Best Austin Restaurants For Birthdays - Austin - The Infatuation

"We’ve celebrated a few birthdays at Asia Cafe in North Austin, and we keep finding ourselves going back because of how easy, fun, and delicious everything is. There are a few private rooms to the side if you want a little more privacy, but the dining room is full of giant, circular tables topped with Lazy Susans that you can, in turn, top with giant platters of spicy fish, mango chicken, and mapo tofu. It’s loud enough in here that neighboring tables won’t be able to hear you recount stories of all your adventures when you were younger, but not loud enough that the rest of your table can’t chime in with their own comments." - nicolai mccrary, raphael brion

Best Chinese Food in Austin | Eater Austin

"Among the wide-ranging Asian menu of the Barrington Oaks strip mall restaurant, the mapo tofu and spicy fish are the standout dishes along with a soft eggplant with ground pork. Takeout orders can be placed in person; there are indoor dine-in areas." - Nadia Chaudhury

Asia Cafe - Review - North Austin - Austin - The Infatuation

"Asia Cafe in North Austin makes some of our favorite Sichuan food in town. We find ourselves going back here often—the portions are plentiful and the dining room is spacious and great for groups. And whenever they finally shout your number from the giant loudspeaker, it always feels like you’ve just won a big prize. There are a few private rooms to the side if you want a little more privacy, but the dining room is full of giant, circular tables topped with Lazy Susans that you can, in turn, top with giant platters of spicy fish, mango chicken, and mapo tofu. Afterwards, you can pop into their store next door, Asia Market, to stock up on groceries and snacks for the ride home." - Nicolai McCrary

Best Beef Noodle Soups in Austin | Eater Austin

"One of the first Sichuan spots in Austin, Asia Café‘s beef noodle soup comes with flat rice noodles. Not into spicy broth? Opt for the regular beef noodle soup, which is milder." - Lenny Dewi
