We were in town for a couple of days and craved Thai food. So very happy to have discovered this neighborhood gem. We went without reservations and were happy to be greeted by a sweet woman who also turned out to be our server. She set the stage so beautifully with her courteous manner and nice smile.
We ordered:
Calamari as an appetizer and were very pleasantly surprised by how tender it was, not at all the gummy or chewy.
Stir-fried noodles with Shrimp, Squid, Scallops, Mussels, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, celery, bell peppers and egg with house special Yellow curry sauce, Topped with, scallion
Panang chicken curry in coconut milk with Kaffir lime leaves, carrots, and broccoli. Served with Jasmine Rice.
Everything we ordered was scrumptious...we savored every bite.
What made our experience even more delightful is the extra special service with a smile. The setting was also quite nice and simple, unlike some over-decorated Thai restaurants.
So glad our first dining experience in Salt Lake City was at this place. We finished dinner fully satisfied and happy with our choice. Salt Lake City is lucky to have this really good Thai restaurant. Sala Thai is a winner!
