Nice Slice Pizzeria

Shout out to Jivian, Dylan and Dell (hope I’m getting the names right) for their wonderful service making me a fresh, hot vegan pizza on a beautiful rainy night. They were all really warm, kind and hospitable after I came in from a busy day of getting dental surgery and needed to treat myself. Nice Slice vegan pizza for the win! 🙌🏿

Quick and efficient service! Pizza is always amazing. Thin crust and slightly crispy edges. Tomato sauce is well balanced with acidity and sweetness. The Galvanina ginger beer was refreshing and spicy. Atmosphere was was urban/street. Great choice of music: The Notorious B.I.G Life After Death. Great vibes! Thants for the slice!

The slices that were sitting there looked a little dehydrated. I ordered a pepperoni anyway and the guy cut a small slice for me. Okay I deal with that. After I ordered, two people walk in 30 seconds after me and the pizza guy greets the two people and informs them he has two fresh pizzas coming up. I ask why wasn’t I told that? The girl tells me oh well next time.

Delicious slice of pizza! Crust was perfect and crispy on the bottom, with perfect amounts of sauce and cheese. So nice to have a pepperoni slice that doesn’t skimp on the cheese! I will absolutely come back if I visit Providence again.

Enjoyed the BBQ chicken slice I got here. It was $4.32 with tax and was high quality. The slice wasn’t that big, but it was crunchy and flavorful. The pizza is very similar to Fellini’s, but Nice Slice’s options aren’t as unique as Fellini’s and they have less options. Little expensive for the size of the slice and their full specialty pies are really high, just under $30!

Tried Nice Slice for the 1st time. Went with a slice of regular pepperoni and a slice of the Sicilian pepperoni. Good cheese coverage. Good toppings. Sauce was good. Crust had a good amount of crunch. The Sicilian had a little too much color for me on the undercarriage. Cupped pepperoni on the sicilian was a plus. They added some garlic to the sauce on the sicilian square as well. Not much flop on either slice. Parking can be tough, use lot behind building on Washington St. Pizza gets a Google 4, 7.45 out of ten.

Best pizza in the state, hands down! Fresh ingredients, amazing flavor. In the winter, don't sit near the door because it can be cold, but otherwise, the place is great!

Edit: We've ordered from here multiple times since my original review and I think they've gone a bit downhill. I'm only speaking for their vegan options here, and they're not a plant-based restaurant, so I understand that we're not their target audience anyway. The last time we ordered the vegan space junk pizza they had run out of 'chicken', and instead of letting us know they took it upon themselves to add impossible burger, which makes me ill. They also put very few toppings on. Honestly, I would have just preferred double broccoli or something. So we paid almost $30 for a pizza we ended up wasting most of. I'm giving 3 stars because I think they do a great job with their cheese. I hate leaving tough reviews, and I'm sure they're still great for vegetarians or onmivores, but I can't recommend them for vegans right now. Original review: Great pizza! They have vegan and gluten free options. We've tried the vegan buffalo "chicken", bbq "chicken", and plain vegan cheese and they were all great. You can do take out (or dine in pre-covid) and their prices are okay, can be a little expensive depending on the toppings and whether you order a specialty pizza.

Still our favorite pizza place around. Great quality ingredients. Options for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free as well. Whole pies or slices. Fantastic variety of soft drinks. The friendliest staff around as well, always playing cool music

A pizza place across the street from a high school?! Super good idea! (Like the Max?) Super minimal design inside. Super hipster. Every adult patron looked the same- rolled pants and ir hat with black outline tats. The employee- young and along the same lines. I ordered 3 slices to go. Nice slice got the job done! I do prefer cupped pepperoni but overall good cheese to sauce ration. Cooked perfectly. Plenty of pepperoni. Not the best ever but not a terrible option.

Nice Slice perfectly describes the pizza at nice slice. It wasn't amazing, it wasn't great, it was just... nice. I ordered slices to-go and the pizza was crispy just the way I like it, however; it was also the oiliest and greasiest pizza I have ever had. I needed several napkins to eat it. Nice Slice is good but for the price it was, I wouldn't return or recommend it to others.

My vegetarian son insisted we leave a 5 star review. We love the vegan options. Highly recommend the vegan bbq and buffalo chix. The plain cheese was excellent as well (we like cheese).

I truly appreciate any restaurant that offers vegan options but I don't recommend the vegan pizza here. Or at least, you're better off eating it fresh at the restaurant rather than delivery. My family ordered delivery and it arrived soggy. The nondairy cheese didn't taste the best and had a slimy texture (which is not unheard of for vegan pizzas, but combined with the soggy crust it was just unappetizing). The sauce and cheese were placed next to each other instead of putting cheese on top of the sauce - maybe that's their "thing" but it's not my preference. We also got the fig pizza, which was just okay. Again maybe it's better at the restaurant, but if you're ordering delivery you're better off getting pizza elsewhere or making your own.

Stopped in on a Saturday and they had a selection of 8 different kinds of people by the slice. I got the bbq beef and bacon and traditional pepperoni to go for $5 a slice. The bbq pizza was the star of the two but both were good. Definitely a place to return to, just wish they were open before 4pm on a Saturday.

I'll keep this simple. Simply good pizza. Perfect place to stop when all you want is something quick and delicious. And when your hands are full they kindly offer you a box to keep things from slipping everywhere. Best pizza in town

Really good pizza. Not cheap, but you're paying for the high quality. The pizzas are also quite large. I love that there are many vegan/veg options. One of the best pizza shops in PVD

Best Marg in the city. Excellent pizza all around and an excellent staff. Feels like "Providence" inside. Big big love for this place.

Shared a large supreme pizza with coworkers. Everyone loved the flavor and fresh ingredients. Cleaned the box in minutes.

Finally order a full Pizza from Saturday night. Huge NY style, 8 big slices. Had Roni & Meatball and was outstanding. Sauce was zesty and flavorful. Bonus points for Boylan soda in cooler. Grabbed a Black Cherry

If a slice is more than $3.50, you gotta go out of your way to make it trash, no? This was good pizza and I don't think I felt that way because of the drinks we had beforehand. Came out quickly after we ordered and the vibes were just chill and unpretentious. The dough, the sauce, and the cheese were great and the toppings were just the cherry on top. I dunno if cherries are an option, but I am sure they'd be able to pull it off here.

18 inches of deliciousness! Ordered 1/2 BBQ chicken and 1/2 Buffalo chicken pizza. Coming from NY where is the home of the best pizza, this was the best pizza I've had since moving to Rhode Island. The BBQ sauce with marinated chicken breast and spicy buffalo sauce with marinated chicken breast was on point. The crust and pizza was thin so I was able to fold it in half like NY pizza. It was $27 before tax, so I think it is a little pricy but worth it if you are craving really great pizza.

Finally found my favorite pizza spot in Providence! I placed an order for 1/2 pepperoni & 1/2 bbq chicken, and it was actually very good. Their thin crust was the best. Fair prices and their service was very friendly as well. I'll definitely try their buffalo pizza next time. Thanks, Nice Slice!

Pizza was very good. I would order it again. The only negative was the price. But you get what you pay for!

This is one of the best pizza spots in the country - no joke. Coming from Brooklyn, where pizza is scared, we didn't know what to expect. Nice Slice is stunning. The crust is crispy on the outside & soft on the outside. The sauce is super flavorful. We get the same order every time "Margherita with Roni" with some extra cherry tomatoes. You can't go wrong. Pro-Tip: - Get a Whole Pie - it's large but it will be devoured quickly

The absolute BEST pizza in Providence RI, hands down. My go-to favorites are the Margherita pizza and I also really enjoy the pesto with tomato pizza. I've been coming here for years & the service has always been friendly and efficient. I normally do take-out but they do have plenty of tables & chairs if you'd like to eat there. I recommend them highly. As someone who grew up eating NY pizza, I give 5 stars. Thank you to everyone at Nice Slice for always being great!

Don't use delivery (serviced through Grubhub)). No notice of delivery. No text or call so delivery was outside in the wet weather for half an hour and Grubhub support unable to assist with even refund of tip paid. Restaurant isn't responsible for delivery driver of course but offer other delivery options.

Excellent East Coast style pizza by the slice. Had a great visit here on a road trip up to Providence from the CT shore. I am partial to Pizza made in CT, PA and NJ but knew there had to be a great slice somewhere in Providence. Federal Hill is famous for old school Italian food and has a ton of great restaurants. But I was looking for a basic by-the-slice pizza joint. Nice Slice, besides having the right name for what we were looking for, had just the right pizza--and a good, old-skool punk rock/student vibe. It took me back to my roots when I went to college in Providence and hung out at the Living Room in the early 80s. But I digress. Need a good slice of pizza for lunch or dinner in Providence RI? This is the best place to go.

I came here and it was my first time. The pizza was amazing but for two slices it costed 8 dollars and that is pricey but overall 10. The service was great and friendly. The ambiance I loved with all the pictures.

Nice slice you used to be a go to for me. Great toppings and nice dough, but the crust on my last White Pizza was utterly inedible. I've never tasted a pizza more burnt in my life, let alone from one of my favorite spots in PVD. When you're charging nearly 30$ a pie, it should at least be fit for consumption. I'm sorry to say but this'll be the last time I grab nice" slice.

Visited for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. We got a vegan BBQ chicken slice and a regular white slice with pesto and tomato. Both were very good. The vegan BBQ slice didn't taste "fake" at all. The crust was pretty thin but not bad. The top of the crust was overdone but also not a huge deal. The staff could've been nicer. Felt like we were bothering them. We'll be back, but for takeout.

Not to be confused with "Nice Lice" (which my cats sometimes get), "Nice Price" (if the slices were 50% cheaper), and "Nice Ice" (which is the name of a Biopic of Robert Matthew Van Winkle). Definitely good slices, especially by the standards in Providence, but definitely not the best I've had or something I'd run back for. They have a good selection and nice service, while prices are somewhere in the middle. It's definitely College Pizza rather than really great, life-changing pizza, and I prefer Antonio's over on Thayer Street which is way more popular as well But having said that, these are pretty good and worth a try. They made a good effort and it's a lot better than having Papa John's or Pizza Hut for example. So if you love rats then you may have a MICE VICE If you combine pastas then show me how to SPLICE RICE If you like Rachel, I'll teach you to ENTICE WEISZ But if you're in Providence, come and eat at NICE SLICE WHAT

The best pizza in town , hands down. Super friendly and helpful staff! Literally the only thing I wanted to eat during chemotherapy. I would move in if I could. Love these guys.

Nice Slice is literally the reason I keep visiting Providence after all these years. This pizza joint used to be located on Thayer Street and was the detonation for many late night 2 hour drives from the middle of Connecticut. Now, this was my first time visiting the new location and my first time having Nice Slice in over 4 years so I was pretty dang excited to sink my teeth into a few slices. I ended up ordering a slice of the BBQ Chicken and a slice of the plain cheese pizza and these slices were everything I could of hoped for and more. The BBQ Chicken was absolutely delicious (and I kind of wish I got some to take with me), and the same can be said for the cheese pizza as well. This new location is probably 4-6 times bigger then the original and offers a plethora of indoor seating along with a ton of cool art plastered on the wall. Overall, Nice Slice is THE pizza place to go to in Providence. If you want delicious pizza (both vegan and non vegan), a cool atmosphere, and did I mention delicious pizza? Check out Nice Slice, you'll thank me later.

Love this pizza place! Surprised I haven't been here before. Buffalo and pepperoni are among my faves. Love the crispy crust. I have also tried the Margherita, cheese and pesto as well and they were all pretty good. Overall great experience.

Finally made it here after they moved from their Thayer St. location a few years ago. Nice Slice is some of the best pizza in Providence! Their thin crust simply cannot be beat. Over the years I've had many iterations of their pizza, both vegan and non-vegan. So I can confidently say that their vegan pizza hits the mark! The buffalo chicken and BBQ chicken are both amazing. A whole pie is a bit expensive (~$24), but it's worth it for the high quality ingredients. I appreciate that the vegan and non-vegan pizzas are the same price. The pizzas don't need to cook very long so they're usually able to fill orders pretty quickly. They didn't have vegan slices when I stopped by the other day, but they quickly whipped up a vegan pizza for me in 15-20 minutes. Great service!

Reviewing the gluten free vegan pizza. I know it's a tough order, but it wasn't good. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. The service was really fast though but I can't recommend that pie in particular.

So GOOD. all of the ingredients are quality and the crust is so good. Highly highly highly recommend giving your business to nice slice!

Ordered a Margherita pizza and it's the best I've ever tasted. Amazing crust, the best sauce, and perfect ratio of fresh mozzarella cheese and sauce. Delivery was on time, will definitely order again.

I get overwhelmed when presented with too many options. Nice Slice always has enough options for me to start to get nervous but not so many as to put me in full indecisive panic mode. I always go in with the intention of getting 'just one slice' and inevitably end up with 2 (ok-ok, maybe 3, if I've been drinking). It's a thin and slightly chewy crust with a perfect amount of salty cheese. For the past couple of years I've noticed that the folks working here are super nice and helpful.

Their pizzas are creative and delicious. The person who took our order was great I placed it for pick up and with in 20 mins pizza ready. I haven't eaten inside I've always done pick up. It's cute in there you can see them make your pizza.

Looking for the perfect vegan pizza? Look no further. Nice Slice will always be my go to from now on... So far my favorite is the Margherita, but the fusiform was also delicious. I just moved to providence. Went with my Girlfriend and we both loved the arugula pizza. It is to die for. Excellent customer service. Very friendly staff. We loved it so much we ordered some to go for our boys. It took 5 minutes so we went to grab a quick drink at the new Gina's bar located behind the storefront. Great little spot and I will definitely be back.

My husband is from RI and has hyped up this place for years. I was SO excited to try their vegan slices and, lets just say, it SLAPPED. Get the vegan slices. Dont even ask what they are, just order them. They are SO good! Ugh!

Best pizza I've had in New England (I've only lived there for a year, but I've sought out a lot of pizza in that short life) Well designed and impeccably executed designer slices. I don't eat the crust of my pizza often but it would have been a moral wrong to do that to these slices Fig/arugula Greek( they use the good olives, the kind that doesn't come in a can and that you might break your teeth on when you get surprised by the pits)

This is the type of pizza I like! big slices (I didn't realize how big so i ordered a whole pie,lol) tons of cheese, pepperoni ,mushrooms, onion with chewy crust with CRUNCH! For me, this will be the pizza that all others will be judged by in this style of pizza... (Apizza New Haven ). Everything was just right, perfect amount of sauce and toppings, it really was a fantastic foodie experience that I highly recommend. I love pizza, and I travel for it, so believe me when I say this is a must try. The folks cheffing it up were very nice as well. I have tried lots of places and most don't get a review if they don't reach a certain level of awesomeness. Seriously, a can't miss Pizza joint!, thanks again I shall be back! often. I remember when Nice Slice was on Thayer Street. At the time it was still heavily competing against other pizza businesses like Antonio's, Pizza Pier, Fellini's, and Via Via even. They came in and dominated the competition. I moved away and came back over the holidays to learn they had relocated to Westminster Street. Great, larger space. I was blown away. Same recipe! Easily this is the best pizza in RI, New England, the East Coast (yeah equal to NJ and NYC pizza), and even the country. I had a Sicilian slice, bbq chicken or mushroom (can't remember, hazy new year's day purchase) and another one with veggies. So good. Thanks for making a great pizza! I eat Nice Slice so fast I forget to take photos!

I have been vegan for two years & could never find a great vegan pizza place. I came here and was AMAZED. They use the best tasting vegan cheese (NOT DAIYA). I got the half buffalo half BBQ pizza. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Service is great as well. My boyfriend (whose not vegan) got the half regular buffalo half steak bomb. He said he would HIGHLY recommend the steak bomb.
