L’Amoré made our daughter’s birthday absolutely perfect! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly warm, friendly, and genuinely excited to help us celebrate – they even surprised her with a little dessert and sang Happy Birthday, which made her night. The food was outstanding. Everything was fresh and full of flavor, but the calamari stole the show – hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly tender, practically melts in your mouth, with the crispiest, lightest coating. We’re still talking about it days later! If you’re looking for delicious Italian food served with big smiles and real heart, L’Amoré is the place. We’ll be back very soon – thank you for making our celebration so memorable!

Absolutely Outstanding Experience at La Amore Italian Restaurant! We recently hosted a large family celebration at La Amore Italian Restaurant in Scottsdale for our daughter’s wedding, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like family. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable — perfect for such a special occasion. The service was phenomenal — every server was attentive, kind, and genuinely cared about making our evening unforgettable. The owners even came out to personally greet and serve us, which made the experience feel like true red-carpet treatment. Every detail was handled beautifully. And the food — absolutely delicious! Every dish was bursting with flavor, from the appetizers to the desserts. You could truly taste the love and care in every bite. We can’t thank the La Amore team enough for going above and beyond to make our celebration so memorable. It was an evening we’ll never forget!

Fiancé and I came here for our 20th anniversary dinner and we absolutely loved it, part of any restaurant experience has to do with the server and our was Tim I believe who was wonderful. Food was fantastic, they have live music and it's a small intimate setting which is perfect for a couples only experience. It was also raining and they have a patio where you can see and enjoy the outside in more accommodating weather but I would 100% recommend going. Prices are fairly moderate, definitely not cheap but also definitely not too expensive. We had Italian, lasagna and ckn marsala so you should expect to pay close to $50 per person and considering the level of service we received it was worth every penny. Again, just a great overall experience.

Our friends organised a lovely dinner on the patio, and we were blown away by the food, service, and overall experience. The owners personally came out to greet us and seemed like the most warm and kind people! We love Italian food and can say this is easily the best Italian restaurant in Phoenix. Definitely book a table on the patio!

Excellent atmosphere, great service. My wife ordered halibut with lemon caper sauce, fish dry and all you could taste was lemon capers mostly just capers. Mussels were metalic tasting I ate like 4. Wife managed three bites of fish, spinach had a burnt taste to it (was inedible) pasta side was served cold and flavorless. We let the manager know, he wanted to know if we wanted to take it home, I said no I wouldn't feed it to my dog. He still charged $55.00 for fish that my wife could only eat maybe two bites of. We will never return. Oh and pizza crust sucked, too much flour, Burnt on bottom. We will never return. Place needs new manager and definitely new cook. Presuming bald gentleman was manager.

I have to say I really enjoyed my dinner night here at L'amore. The service was great! Austin was our server and he was superb. The ambiance with live music was so welcoming with dinner. Oh and the food was absolutely delicious! I mean it. I enjoyed the appetizer to the entree. This is a great place to go for date night or dinner. The owners are on deck and mingle and welcome all. This is one of the Italian restaurants that I will be visiting again. Date night, dinner or just out with friends. Try it...you'll like it!

My wife and I had a great meal here. Chicken Piccata and the chicken Marsala were top notch. We shared a slice of lemon cake for desert and it was light and delicious. It’s always a nice touch for the owner of a restaurant to stop by each table to make sure his patrons are happy and satisfied. Our waiter Larry provided great service and always kept our glasses full.

Made a reservation online and mentioned it was a birthday celebration. Mentioned it once again in person when we arrived. Nothing was done for my wife to celebrate her birthday…she was definitely disappointed. Food was good not great. Paid $150 for three people before tip.

The place was packed, but my part of 5 found a spot at the bar. Madison was such a wonderful host. She was attentive and friendly the entire night. I enjoyed the live performer entertaining us the whole night. Such a good experience. From my roasted pepper soup to my GF black garlic shrimp and sausage dinner, excellent! 10/10 I would highly recommend this location.

Great dining experience for us at L'Amore. Food was excellent and service fantastic. I recommend this place for Gluten-free diners. Our server was knowledgeable, clear, and proactive. She listed what could be modified and what could not be safely modified. We had a very enjoyable evening. My husband said it was the best lasagna he had had in years. It is a pleasure to find such a gem of a restaurant.

This restaurant is absolutely divine. The food is splendid, full a flavor and cooked to perfection. The lasagna is a must try. The black garlic shrimp is very mid and my order only came with three shrimp. In my opinion it should come with more for the menu highlighting it being a shrimp dish. Baked Ziti with Sausage in my opinion was the best I've ever had. The sauce was full of flavor and made to perfection. For appetizers, the calamari was superb and I highly recommend. I personally could not find the dessert menu online but, to finish off the night with dessert, the flourless chocolate cake is a must try. This place is perfect for date night or even dinner with the whole fam.

Nestled in a little plaza near the Phoenix Mountain Preserve is this gem! We truly loved our experience here. The restaurant is decently sized-- with half of it being reserved for dining and the other half for bar seating. We had reservations and were seated in the dining area, and were greeted with the sounds of live music in the bar area. That truly made the experience top notch for me! Our server was friendly and prompt, and explained the specials in great detail. It was obvious his passion for the restaurant and dishes that were served as he promised you couldn't go wrong with anything you ordered. Upon ordering we received fresh bread and butter and it was perfectly crunchy on the outside and warm & soft on the inside. Didn't get a picture because we ate it so fast! I wasn't feeling pasta that night (shame on me lol) so I opted for a chicken Caesar. It was amazing! The croutons were seasoned to perfection and I enjoyed the thinly sliced chicken. A Caesar salad is so simple yet some restaurants still get it wrong. That was not the case here! My husband went for the lasagna bolognese and the sauce was the most incredible bolognese I've ever had! I will definitely be back to order that for myself! All their dessert options sounded amazing, but we opted for the flourless chocolate cake. It was so rich and decadent and the perfect little slice for us two to share. Our server even brought a Kahlua caramel sauce that was served with a different dessert for us to try. Dare I say our new favorite Italian spot?! We will definitely be back!

We went there for my 70th. We had a big party. We moved here 3 years ago from Chicago. We have missed the authentic Italian restaurants there. This is the best place we have found here. So good. Traditional type menu with favorites we know from our past. Loved it. Service was excellent too

My husband and I came for dinner on a Friday night. We had reservations, but were seated at a table that wasn't great. There was a wood panel wall my chair was up against, and I immediately noticed it was visibly soiled and the carpet beneath it dusty. We started with a shrimp scampi appetizer. The shrimp were small and over cooked, the sauce was flavorless. I ordered the tortellini with a blue cheese salad and he ordered the lasagne with an Italian salad. The best part of my entire meal was the homemade blue cheese dressing on the salad. My tortellini was not memorable. The pancetta on top looked and tasted like bacon bits you buy as a salad topper at the grocery store. My husband's lasagne had rubbery cheese and was overcooked. The best part of our experience was our waiter who was very friendly. We also enjoyed live music throughout our dinner. The interior was decorated very festively for the holiday which we appreciated. Our meal with tip was $125 which included a beer. Love supporting local but I would not return.

Best restaurant in Arizona hands down! Not only is the food amazing but the atmosphere is as well! You can tell the owner puts his heart & soul into this place. It's so hard to find places that still make everything from scratch! The service is always top notch as well.

We sat in the patio. It was lovely. The hostess was warm and friendly. Unfortunately the waiter was snarky. My mussels were cooked so long they were charred and the marinara was a dry goop. The waiter ignored my concern. Later a man came to the doorway and yelled across the table "what's the matter with the mussels". Then he disappeared. We had waited for our food for two hours. These issues made our dining experience disappointing

I absolutely love this place! My favorite dish is calamari, mmmm chef's kiss! Everyone who works there is always so welcoming and kind. The vibe, the people just everything about that place is amazing. Sad panda because I only get way there once every 2 months when I'm in the area.

We had a great family experience at L'Amore! They brought us right in and sat us at a table. Our server Nolan provided us with top notch service and was extremely attentive! The meals and cocktails were very delicious, and the ambiance was perfect! Alll in all, it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to others!

We had such a great dining experience here! Michelle helped us secure a reservation, although we opted for bar seats when we arrived. We enjoyed getting to know the vibrant and friendly Madison, who was so welcoming and attentive. The food was incredible. I had the rigatoni with sausage, and my husband had the cioppino special. Both were absolutely delicious. Then we enjoyed the banana bread pudding for desert, which was equally incredible. The experience was enhanced by live music which was lovely. The place was packed, and rightly so. We will definitely be returning.

Came in on a Tuesday night for a Galentine's dinner. L'Amore has great reviews and our friend had heard great things. Our server seemed extremely uncomfortable all night. Seemed annoyed when we asked him to repeat a special, didn't remember who had ordered what, dropped the bill and immediately turned his back. FYI they don't split checks. The drinks list was clearly intended to be a holiday cocktails special sheet but was still offered in February. Which Gives the impression of little thought or effort. Ordered the partridge in a pear tree and it was so sweet I couldn't drink it. Traded with a friend who got the cranberry blitzen and that was boozy and not sweet at all. The soup was good but it just tasted like store bought chicken noodle soup with rice instead of noodles. The eggplant parmesan was far from any other I've ever had. It didn't have a breaded coating, it was smothered in sauce with some cheese, and was on a huge bed of spinach. The flavor wasn't bad but it wasn't prepared the way eggplant parmesan usually is and it also was not cooked... the eggplant was still hard. It was very busy/crowded so maybe the kitchen was rushing to push orders out? The owner did come by once and I did see him scanning and seemed present. Overall: Not sure what all the hype is about?

I was there l last Friday and the special was Halibut. I ordered it It was way over cooked. It was dry and had no flavor. I have had had Halibut many times before and I had to throw this in the trash.

Excellent dining experience tonight, food choices were delicious, hot and served in a timely manner. Our waiter, Michael, was spot on with wine choices and suggestions for dinner. We've always enjoyed the atmosphere in L'Amore and the owner Greg, making us feel like old friends!

First time dining at this longstanding gem and we were thrilled. Lovely ambiance, friendly & helpful staff and delicious food. We enjoyed the filet mignon carpaccio, cioppino, and ricotta gnocchi with a meatball, plus the tiramisu to cap it off. We lived in SF for years so it was a treat to have such a delightful taste of the Bay Area in the cioppino. The owner Greg is a warm and friendly host and will likely stop by to say hi.

A girlfriend & I have been on the lookout for the best Italian food in Scottsdale or Phoenix area. We were so excited when we came across L'Amore. The pictures looked great & reviews are solid. So we anticipated we were in for a treat. We made reservations & were greeted & seated promptly by a nice young gentleman. Our sever came over to take our drink order. He was an older gentleman & wasn't friendly or attentive at all. We received our drinks & wanted to place an appetizer he didn't come around for almost 30-40 minutes. We finally were able to get his attention & ask if we could order an appetizer & entrees. He seemed annoyed. We started with the calamari & it was good. We then ordered our mains. We got the gnocchi with the ala vodka sauce & chicken Parmesan. They were both horrible! The gnocchi was the worst gnocchi I've ever had it was probably something from a frozen section. The chicken was at least edible. Our server never once came to ask how anything was I took a few bites of the gnocchi and pushed it aside as it's not worth eating. We decided to get our bill and headed out to Eddie V's for dessert & drinks. Don't waste your time we eating here we could have gone to Olive Garden & received better food & service.

We were in town for a board meeting and L'amore was able to accommodate a large group (we had 18!) Located at the end of shopping complex, L'amore offers indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated inside. I opted for the short rib risotto special. The short rib was braised and shredded easily. The flavor was sweet and tangy and melted in your mouth. The risotto was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. As my starter, I selected the French onion soup. The onions were translucent and the broth had flavor without being overpowering. Bread is offered for the table - we loved the crustiness of the loaf and it was consistently delivered warm. The staff were very kind and juggled our party with ease.

Ordered the manicotti and the chicken piccata. Excellent, flavorful and one of the best Italian meals I've had since moving here. We will be regulars!

First time trying this spot was for my girlfriends birthday and it was wonderful. Ambiance in the restaurant is a little dimly lit and perfect for date night. The servings are large and their drinks are great: I highly suggest trying the chicken parmigiana and the French onion soup! Staff was extremely attentive, constantly checking on our table and refilling waters/drinks. They even gave my girlfriend a nice little birthday treat, which was unexpected but a great way to end the night!

Service was beautiful and so amazing.. I do recommend the food is delicious. What I like about it is that my best friend and I were walk-ins and it was busy and instead of turning us away... They said stay and watch for people to get up from the bar. And literally, we only waited 10 minutes for that to happen.

Just can't get enough of this place. The Friday evening guitarists are wonderful. Greg and his staff do such good job. We prefer sitting at the bar. Food was amazing. See you again soon!

My friend and I wanted to step out of our comfort zone and try new place for us, local restaurant that we could become regulars at (we live close by). I pass this restaurant a lot and read all the reviews, especially how friendly the owner Greg is. I made 7:15 Saturday night Open Table reservations. When we arrived, the parking lot was filled, laughter from the restaurant was loud (good thing)... customers having a great time. When we entered the place was filled. We were greeted and seated. Larry was our server... very nice but stop leaning on our table with your hands and talking over our food. Off the top of things I noted and will change when I return because the food was excellent. I would request a table against the wall, not in the middle of the floor that the servers, hostess and customers constantly squeezed through to get by, almost knocking our my cocktail a couple of times... super annoying to ME! In addition I noticed the restaurant was filled with loyal customers, Greg would greet all the locals and people against the wall... did not give us the time of day passed 5 times, I caught eye contact, no interaction at all... hummm maybe we were sitting at the "newbie table" My friend and I ordered cocktail while looking over the menu, the first round of Cosmo. and Martini were EXCELLENT, but my 2nd Cosmo was horrible sent it back... did they change bartenders. Food wise: we ordered the Beef Carpaccio, Mussels, Lasagna and Eggplant Parmesan. All the food was EXCELLENT. the weakest was the Carpaccio, but next time I would try the Calamari. I want to a local place that my friend and I can go to... I would love to become one of the regulars here... but? Atmosphere: good. Service: good. Food: excellent.

We decided to try this restaurant for our son's birthday. We ordered 2 appetizers for the table: the beef carpaccio was frozen, and the calamari was tough and rubbery. My fish special entree was overcooked and tasted terrible. The other entrees at the table were described as mediocre at best by the other guests. The server was somewhat responsive, but was very dismissive when we sent back 2 items. We will never eat at this place again!

Ok I'm absolutely obsessed with L'Amore! The staff is phenomenal and the owner Greg gives you the red carpet experience. The food is absolutely fresh italian with a cozy vibe. The happy hour is amazing and the live music is a plus. Don't miss out on this local favorite that's been a classic for 23 years.

We have been dining at L'Amore for many years and have recommended the restaurant often. The food, ambiance, & staff were always excellent, and prices were fair. Last week were at L'Amore & brought guests. We ordered the specials mentioned by the waiter, Sea Bass and Cannelloni; he did not mention the prices. Both meals were good. When we got the bill, we learned that the sea bass was $60, and the cannelloni was $40. We paid the bill but found these prices very out of line with the usual prices. We were annoyed that the waiter did not inform us of the high prices of the items when we ordered. I am sorry to say that we cannot continue to recommend L'Amore and sadly not be returning to eat at L'Amore again.

The food was delightful. I got the chicken parm (a classic) and it was well crafted from an Italian chef in the back, that I know. The service shinned bright. My waiter got me multiple wines to taste before I eventually made my decision. Finally the ambiance was lovely and majestic. Perfect for a date or family

Great restaurants like this are a special find and we found it by leaving the property where we were staying all week and finding this jewel. Lovely people own it and work there.

Was really excited to try this place, but should've read more reviews. Started out with an excellent shrimp scampi, then downhill from there. The house salad was a sham, equivalent to a vinaigrette salad you'd get on a flight. The veal Marsala was not breaded and chewy from being over cooked, all while swimming in a watery sauce. The side pasta marinara tasted like a pasta at elementary school, served with cold wet vegetables haha what was that? My partner got the halibut that was so dry like it never came out of an ocean and only swam in the desert sands. The side was the blandest pasta we've ever had, I don't think the pasta water was even seasoned. I am posting this review solely because the prices are ridiculous for what you get. Don't bother, go to North Italia or Olive Garden haha.

The best food and service and so cozy. Yummy food and I like the lighting of the restaurant. Also nice seating area and I like that the owner was around the restaurant. I love the live music and cute lights.

First time at L'Amore and we had a great meal. The lasagna had at least eight layers with a great sauce. The chicken parmigiana was crispy and tender with a side of ziti. And the special Cioppino has great seafood including shrimp, mussels, scallops, and fish. Not spicy with a good sauce over linguine. The atmosphere feels like an old fashioned restaurant. The owner walks around greeting people, the server calls you sweetie, and the people can't be nicer. Please check it out when you are in the Phoenix area.

Had such an amazing dinner here ! The owner is super friendly and checked on us multiple times. The staff is super sweet and friendly! Food was amazing and delicious and the lighting was perfect. There was live music when we came and it was incredible ! 50/10 !!!

Dining with friends and enjoying all this place has to offer. Great service, Ambiance Check and the food well delicious! I started with Cauliflower soup. The soup was light and tasty. Next, I tried a Daily Special! Yumm Yummm a twist on Chicken piccata! When it arrived. It smelled so good! The presentation was pleasant! The Chicken with a lemon butter caper sauce was fabulous! The chicken melted in my mouth. Oh! What a treat. So much flavor going on here! Not only did really really enjoy my food. I honestly loved this amibance and experience just has much! You guys take such pride in what you do. I appreciate you. Keep up the Fantastic job! I know this one isnt as good as my first review but hey I had to rewrite and of course. I dont save my live reviews. Lol

I'm not sure if I went to a different restaurant or what but our experience was awful . Every single thing we had from appetizer to our 3 entrees was tough with no flavor . The lasagna was just a stack of noodles on a plate of mediocre meat sauce . The veal was the toughest I've ever had , the whole point of veal is to be soft and buttery . This is the first time I've had my fellow diners saying their mouths tasted so bad after they needed mints . And that isn't hyperbole. I wish I had those calories back

We came here and sat on the patio, thought we would try in person after being poisoned in January from their old calms. I do believe this restaurant is overpriced a bowl of Spaghetti is $28 and the Lasagne which is supposed to be in Bologonese sauce is $30. Their Bolognese is not sauce it just is meats with some liquid and very dry. My Lasagne was disgustingly dry like it was a few days old. The patio seating was nice. There was no wow factor, just bland even the house salad was boring. Then came the comedy of errors we wanted to split the check no one knew how to do this, we asked several people to split the check and they literally could not do it, even the waiter was baffled and lied to us saying there were two slips when there wasn't First restaurant ever where no one knew how to split a check. Sadly.

This is a great Italian spot. Everything we had tasted homemade, right down to the salad dressing. The food was fresh, simple, and done right. Service was excellent--our server was on top of everything without hovering. What really stood out was the owner taking the time to visit with guests. You can tell he cares about the place and the people in it.

I decided to invite relatives to eat hehe and the service was poor and the food was cold. We were very disappointed. One visit was enough. Never again!

The food is fucking incredible. The service from David is impeccable. Me and my boyfriend met David at Casey Moore's, and we were recommended L'Amore and we are absolutely obsessed. The staff is incredibly friendly and we are excited to become regulars.

So thankful to find this gem, especially coming from living in NY! It's tough to find amazing Italian food in the general Phoenix area. Luckily, it's close to one of our homes so when we're in Scottsdale, it's our go to take family from NY. Great vibe and amazing food!

Wow !!!! What an AMAZING restaurant. Came here for my birthday, and had a great time. The food was amazing, the service was great, and they gave me a free dessert to celebrate will be back!!!

This is the best Italian I have found in AZ. The service was impeccable, and just for that I would come back every week. I loved the dining area as it was quaint and gave a nice family feel. They were attentive, friendly, and treated us so well. I had the eggplant parm with angel hair, it was TO DIE FOR!! I couldn't believe how good it was. Best I've ever had- and that's coming from a fellow New Yorker!!! I love it here and have told all of my friends to go experience it themselves.
