Friendly service and decent food. The day I dined in did not necessarily live up to the reputation I heard about, but I can see how some people love it here.

Best burgers in Milwaukee, and you get to pick your temp. I recommend the Big Aloha or Big Foot Burger! Greatest burgers I've ever eaten. Absolutely amazing place just south of the casino and offers an authentic Wisconsin pub experience with superior food and beer selection. This will be my regular place from now on!

It was 4 of us and the food came out pretty quickly. It was good and we enjoyed it the only thing was that when the bill came out we saw there was an 18% gratuity added. Not sure what the policy is but I’m a waitress that’s my only source of income and I know how to tip and always tip 20% because I know how it feels so it was just weird how it was added on there and it was just 4 of us. And yes I looked on the menu and there was nothing there saying gratuity was gonna be added. But other than that we enjoyed it.

Can't go wrong with the BIG O Burger. One of the best burger in town. Comes with amazing fries. Sometimes they're light on the fries. 10/10 Bloody Mary Not too bad. Good spice. Celery, bacon, cheese and olive. But they're heavy on the ice. 7/10

Best burgers in all of Milwaukee along with an amazing list of beers and drinks. The prices are so damn affordable that it makes me wonder if we're still in 2010s because that's the last time I paid for an affordable burger that wasn't $15 with no fries. The atmosphere is perfect for sports and hang with friends. You know it's good when you have Marquette freshman students going to the Southside for a burger.

Burgers at this place are fantastic and messy is the best way possible. I can't wait to go back. They also have a great beer selection, over 40 different craft brews. Oh and the French fries are some of the best I've had.

Man I wish I knew about this place sooner. For starters there's parking, plenty of street parking AND there's a parking lot. Fantastic. Inside was great, lots of bar seating and plenty of tables. Food was good, had a burger and fries. There's like 40 beers on tap so you'll probably find what your looking for. A shuttle to the Brewers game that came and we t a few times while I was there. Will definitely be going back to try some more food.

One of my favorite places for burgers. It's the great alternative to the competition. I can alway trust the meat was ground and formed fresh and made to order. Service was excellent, food came hot, quickly as ordered. And plenty of choices for the most pickiest of customers. Glad to see the quality is still great. The room was comfortable, plenty of tvs. There are 3 areas to sit at. Tables are quickly bussed even when busy. Sadly the patio was closed today. Summer is over make the best of fall y'all. 26/2025

My wife and I went here since we heard they have good burgers. We stopped in around 3pm on a Saturday and they were packed. We got sat and ordered the Big O and the Big Aloha and a starter of onion rings. The food was fantastic. The only thing that was lacking was our server. She was not very good. There was a food runner who was hustling like crazy and brought us our food but our actual server didn't really do anything. My wife had to go to the bar to get us a refill on our drinks. Despite that, we will definitely return.

Very good burger and fries , very good service , and for the size and quality of the burger, very reasonably priced. A winner !

Favorite place to eat with my family when we want burgers. My son insisted we take our family when they were visiting from out of state.

The food was excellent! A great place to get a burger. The have a parking lot and street parking. The place was super busy for a weekday. There was plenty on seating and bar seating.

When I think of Wisconsin, I think of Oscar's after my order of Spotted Cow beer and cheese curds here. Dare, I say the number one Oscar in my life which is saying something when I know five of them. No frills and affordable, Oscar's was what we needed to recharge during a jam-packed weekend. Perfect place to watch the game with friends or kill time before a wedding reception.

My 13 year-old loves cheese curds and while we were in Milwaukee, we found Oscar's after a quick search on Yelp for cheese curds. It was awkward walking in because there was no hostess, no stand, or no sign that said seat yourself. I took the latter which didn't bother me but introverts in your group like my wife might have a hard time with that. I lead my group to the back patio and sat us at a table. We ordered our food and started with Jimmy's Nuggets or cheese curds. They were very tasty and had a batter that reminded me of corn nuggets. I wish we were given more ranch. For my entree, I ordered the Big O. This burger came with bacon, cheese, jalapeños, fried onions, and guacamole on the side. My burger was cooked perfectly with a nice buttered bun. The only aspect of my burger I didn't enjoy was that there was no sauce on this burger. I feel like a Chipotle mayo would have went great with this burger. I tried it was BBQ, sweet habanero, and Chipotle and none caught what I was hoping to taste. The homemade guacamole did help though. My wife had the Aloha that came with a pineapple, ham, avocado, havarti, and teriyaki sauce. If I ever come back to Oscar's, this is the burger I'm ordering. The fries were home cut and were seasoned with garlic parmesan. Oh so savory! Service was pretty good. The value was really good as well as cheese curds, 4 homemade fresh burgers, and a drink was like $53. If you are looking for a homemade burger with home cut fries, try Oscar's!

Came here with a group of friends since we were from out of the area, and can't wait to come back! Old school Mexican burger pub, with a very lively and loud atmosphere. Our waitress came to seat us right away and got our food order and drinks very fast as well. I ordered their famous "Big O" and it did not disappoint. Fries were also fresh (didn't taste like normal fast food fries) . The burgers are quite large , but everything tasted absolutely delicious. Can't wait to come back!

We came here for the first time after hearing great things and reading glowing reviews. Unfortunately, our experience didn't match the hype. Our food was prepared incorrectly twice, and we ended up not eating. Really disappointed, especially given how much we were looking forward to it.

Went to this restaurant with my book club group. We were given 2 tables at the back of the restaurant which worked out great because we were able to have our book discussion and able to hear each other. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I ordered the large appetizer platter which had a lot on it for the price. All of the prices seemed very reasonable. Unfortunately, because our group was very large by the time my food arrived it wasn't very warm and being that everything was fried it lost some of its appeal. I think if we had a smaller group our food would have arrived all at the same time so I am sure it would have been hot. I will definitely be back to try the burgers because the prices seemed very reasonable.

I appreciated the timely service and the classic rustic look inside. We were seated immediately. I had a build-your-own burger that came with fries. Everything about my food was good except that the beef patty could use a little more seasoning. It was a little bland.

I'm always looking for a good burger when traveling for work. Oscar's did not disappoint! I went with "The Big O". ... Black Angus burger, chipotle Jack, Smoked Gouda, Bacon, CHORIZO and fried Jalapeños. The chorizo was kind of mixed in with the cheese as opposed to being another patty. I loved the flavors. Sometimes, chorizo can make things a bit greasy, but that didn't happen here.... excellent burger and highly recommended! The fries were sold as well. I sat at the bar, but there appears to be a decent amount of seating. They have 2 locations about 4 miles apart from each other. I opted to go here even though it was a little further away from my hotel. This one has a nice size parking lot and the other location appears to only have street parking. I was driving a big ol' company van....lol.

I've lived in Milwaukee for about 10 years and I can happily say this is still my favorite burger. Especially for the price! Craft beers are $6. The burger is $9 if I remember correctly. My fiance and I will come here have dinner and 2 beers each for about $50. Great deal. Just be aware they do a taco night (which is also to die for) but that night can get busy. You walk in, smell the amazing food and can grab a seat at the long bar, table or go out to the patio to eat. I will never stop coming here, one of my favorite places to eat!

I built my own Oscar's burger with american cheese, lettuce, tomato, pineapple, & bacon. It came with fries & a slice of pickle. Overall, it was good.

Best place in Milwaukee to grab a burger and a beer. The food is absolutely amazing and the price is right I make a point of stopping every time I'm in town. Absolutely love it!!

We came here because of a burger recommendation. Not being from the area we didn't know what to expect. It was super busy and packed! Luckily we got right into a table as another couple left. The burgers were great! Like a homemade burger should be! The FFs were fresh not frozen! The service was awesome! Our waitress was so busy but she never forgot anything and was very pleasant. It was rather noisy and loud but there were a couple large parties celebrating. However, once they left the noise level decreased. We agree that we would definitely go back!

Easily the best burgers in town and with that said very affordable. You pay more at the big name national franchise places and don't come close to these burgers. Also have nice specials with taco Tuesday and a wing day.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, and when you get inside, it seems like your average dive bar. However, the food was outstanding. I had the Big O burger, one of the best burgers I have had in a while. I tried their chicken wings while there, and they were top-notch. I did not have the fries, but I noticed they were fresh-cut, my favorite. I am not a drinker, but they had an extensive beer list. I tried an NA beer, and I was glad they had a few options. The server was attentive and friendly. The bill was reasonable for all that we ate. I would go back if I were craving a burger in the area.

No shot this place is real, they gotta get one in Appleton. The food was really good tbh, and so affordable (less than $10 each). My girlfriend and I went before a brewers game and the free shuttles are great, I forgot my bag on the shuttle and they took care of it. The waitress was nice and came over a good amount, food was pretty fast as well and even the inside was good vibes. Next time I want to eat outside, I think it was a bit cold though when we went

We had high hopes for our first time visit to Oscar's, but we were super disappointed in our experience. The two burgers that were ordered were severely undercooked. We showed the server who looked horrified at the burgers and took them away without saying anything. She came back with the same burgers in about 2 minutes and they were taken apart, put on the grill and re-slapped together with the original toppings and cut up bun for us to try eating again. One was cooked enough to be edible and the other was still like raw meat. We didn't eat the bottom buns because they were soaked in red meat juice and mushy. The person I was with is not someone who normally cares about how rare meat is, so it worried me when he appeared apprehensive to eat his. No offer of a discount or any kind of minor apology given for the sad state of these burgers. I remember the days when a restaurant would offer some sort of voucher or something, but this place seemed like they couldn't care less if our food was terrible or not. Never again.

I enjoy some of the menu items. The drinks are decent. We enjoy sitting at the bar. It gives us direct access to the bartender, to study the bottles and to occasionally glance at the tv screens. The wifi needs to be serviced. Remove the free wifi text and passcode if it does not work.

But of course we returned. This is still our favorite little joint. And this time, they didn't disappoint. We were warmly greeted on a Sunday afternoon (the place was busy, but not packed full like last time), and the bartender/server was alert and super helpful. We were seated after about 5minutes of waiting, and service after that was right on. So, I'm happy to report that the disappointment from the last visit is laid to rest and Oscar's is back to being my favorite burger joint in town.

Its 5 stars because 10 wasnt an option. The burgers were the best and the staff was super friendly and engaging! Definitely will be back when in Milwaukee again.

I came here after getting the craving for a burger as well as reading some community lists of "Milwaukee's Best Burger." I was going to wait to write this review until I tried a few more places, but I could not wait! In fact, I went back again! Oscar's definitely deserves to be on people's radar and favorites list. From the service to the ambiance here, it's a great spot to chill out, have a drink, and definitely enjoy one of Milwaukee's Best Burgers. I decided to sit at the bar while I was here and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The burger is definitely one of the best I've had anywhere. I'll be coming back again and again!

Tried Oscar's Pub & Grill for the first time and was extremely impressed! They are known for their burgers, however, they have other options as well! Their food is also very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. The staff was very friendly and our food came out in timely manner. This would be a great spot before a game because it is more of a bar vibe so very casual. They also have a ton of beers on tap! Overall would recommend checking this place out!

Food (burgers) are always great, I can order the burgers how i like, Medium Rare. When it's busy it can be difficult to get a waitress/waiter. But worth the wait. I love the outdoor setting at the back (porch). Delicious Food!

Came here with friends/coworkers during the week. The staff were all very friendly! It was not overly busy. The bar is a nice space with a decent amount of seating. I think I may have had too high of expectations after reading so many 5 star reviews for this place and hearing others talk about it as well. I ordered a build your own burger with fried onions, Swiss cheese and mushrooms (medium). The burger was okay, but my expectations were that it was going to be the best burger I ever had. It didn't have a lot of flavor in the beef. Maybe I was expecting too much. The seasoned fries were very good! I am sure I will try it out again eventually.

The last two times I was there I'm bringing friends in from out of town, today we sit at the bar and we order something to drink. I got an Arnie Palmer I took one drink and it didn't taste right so I asked for a coke, the bartender grabs the gun and pours me a coke from the fountain,I took one drink and it was off. The color was off the taste was off and so I asked for a bottle of root beer and finally got a beverage that tasted like it should. After a wait the food arrived my burger was good (not great) but the fries were limp and wimpy!! The bill arrives and the bartender had both of the bad drinks on the bill and when I asked about it and said those should be removed from the bill he was arguing with me that the drinks were fine and proceeded to pour another coke from the gun and said I'm welcome to try another one. He said the drinks were just fine but since I didn't like them he was gonna charge me for them. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT PLACE AGAIN CHEAPSKATE P.O.S bartenders are garbage and have no place in the food industry Run far away run run run from this crappy place and get a good burger somewhere with friendly staff that actually care for the people that come in and bring friends and family in with them to dine. OSCARS CAN HIT THE DIRT !!!!

I came to Oscar's today since I am celebrating National Burger Month and my birthday month. Oscar's is a little hole-in-the-wall joint. If you drive too fast, you'll miss it. They're right down the street from the Horticultural Domes. When you walk in, you can seat yourself. The vibe of the place is very chill. I ordered The Big O. My goodness! It's a huge burger. I was put into a food coma after eating this bad boy. Good flavor and excellently cooked. You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't come to Oscar's.

I had no idea this gem was tucked into the area! Friends were so excited to visit and have "the best burger" and it didn't disappoint. I don't eat pork, so I didn't wind up with their top seller, but the mushroom and Swiss burger was perfect. The space has a great atmosphere, and though it's not large, there seems to be plenty of seating for a crowd. Can't wait to go back again soon when we're back downtown.

Stopped here because we heard they have some of the best burgers in Milwaukee. They absolutely did NOT disappoint! The burger was well seasoned, well cooked and the topping combinations were to die for! The fries and onion rings were also stellar. They have a big beer selection and the ambience is a warm and welcoming classic Milwaukee bar. Definitely don't skip this one!

This place was highly recommended by friends. Since I was in the neighborhood Saturday, I decided to try one of their delicious, world famous hamburgers. I ordered the Big Hongo (mushroom, and Swiss ) and a side of fries. One of the best hamburgers I have ever tasted! To perfection, juicy, and very flavorful. Oscars also has a full bar, and lots of other tasty items on their menu. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of free parking. I will definitely be back.

Oscars has been a mainstay for me since 2012. Once in a while I just need to get a 'Big O' burger and it NEVER disappoints. Looking forward to great food? The search ends at Oscars!

I do not enjoy being negative, but I relish being honest. Oscar's was disappointing on several levels. Friends were visiting from out of town and wanted burgers. My first choice was always Sobelman's, but I decided to try Oscar's since he came from the kitchen at Sobelman's. The place behaved disorganized from the moment we walked in. The bartender came around and said, "Sit in the back." We did, and eventually, a young man came over to take drink orders. My wife ordered a ginger beer that never showed up. I was compelled to walk up to the bar and ask for it. It was the third request. Oscar's wasn't crowded. The burgers were so-so and lacked flavor. The fries weren't particularly tasty. Oscar's was nothing like Sobelman's; it was not in the same ballpark. I was embarrassed to bring my friends here. Oscar's must have been sold, or Oscar is missing in action.

Best burger I've ever had in Milwaukee. Service and prices are spot on. Definitely need to come here if you want a burger.

We found this place on Yelp and thought we would give it a try because it was close to our hotel. The burgers were delicious. Great taste they toasted the buns. The service was tremendous they was extremely busy and they worked as a team to take care of us. If you are in Milwaukee give Oscars a try.

You talk about walking into a bustling place! Add in a juicy burger and you're off to the races for a good time. The burgers have great flavor and there's something for everyone on the menu.

Was open late, service was great. Food was outstanding as well. Cheese curds hit the spot. Beers on tap, cold drinks and the music was not too loud. Welcoming atmosphere.

Honestly the best burger in Milwaukee hands down. The service is incredible and French fries and sides compliment the dining experience. Also a great place to get dollar tacos on Tuesday when you dine in. Never had anyone I recommended to dine there complain about their experience. Keep it up

The service here was great. Walked in with a party of 10 and the staff was accommodating and quickly sat us at a large table. There were many customers at the restaurant who were sitting at the bar and watching sports. I ordered the Big O and it was good value. So much food for $10. Burger, fries, and a side of guac. Burger was cooked to order, and was a perfect medium rare. Burger wasn't anything special, but it was a good environment to hang out to enjoy some good food and drinks!

The is delicious. Big tender juicy burger cooked order on soft delicious bun. The drink are well made to ininspire you to order a second. The fries are hot and fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful with delicious recommendations. A GREAT dive bar to visit no less than 2 a month.

Fabulous food always made to order. I purchased lunch for myself and 3 friends. We all had burgers , fries, and onion rings ! Fabulous staff , amazing food,and a lively atmosphere for under $ 60 ! Stop in and treat yourself !

Service was amazing. Had the big o burger. Burger was cooked perfectly and toppings were great. The burger itself really lacked seasoning. Fries were a little on the soggy side but I still liked them. Just wish there was some seasoning in the meat.

Still one of the best burgers! Oscar has been consistently serving up amazing food for many years now. The restaurant is a smidge out of the way, but so very worth seeking out.
