Came up in my research for my trip and I'm so glad we were able to make it. We stopped here for breakfast on our last day before we headed back home. The atmosphere was definitely bustling, even for a Wednesday morning. We passed the pastry case on the way to the table and I was very tempted to get something on the way out, but didn't. Prices were very reasonable for the quality, which makes it a place I think we would frequent if we lived here.
I ordered the coconut french toast along with a large orange juice and both were excellent! The OJ was fresh squeezed and so good, a perfect start to the morning. The french toast was phenomenal. Moist, lightly caramelized in spots, and topped with seasonal fruit and a generous sprinkle of coconut flakes. I devoured it and loved every bite. I love french toast but I'm usually hesitant to order it because it can turn out too dry or too thick, but this was exactly right.
Our server was quick and efficient, and we didn't wait long for our food despite how busy it was. The only drawback for me was the design of the two person tables. The legs were so close together that it was tricky to sit comfortably without bumping into them. Not a dealbreaker, but something I noticed that made it sort of uncomfortable if you're in a slightly bigger body or like to sit closer to the table. Otherwise, the space was very cute. You know it's French style because it's the only place we had been to in town that didn't have a ristra hanging somewhere lol I thought this place was excellent and would love to come back someday!
