Michaelangelo's Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar

I have now been to this restaurant 4 times and it has always been superb but my experience last night was so fantastic, I had to write this review. We had a reservation at another restaurant and they were so incredibly behind on seating that my husband and I had to leave after waiting almost an hour beyond our reservation time. We took a chance and walked into Michaelangelo’s on a busy Valentine’s Day evening hoping they may have space. Understandably, they didn’t. The hostess was pleasant and welcoming. She suggested waiting in the bar and that a seat may open up and took my coat for me. We walked into the bar area and it was full. We decided to wait 5 more minutes before accepting our loss because it was after 9 and they would be closing at 10. Just as we were considering leaving, a man approached us from behind the bar asking if we needed help (if I recall correctly, I believe his name was John). I explained what happened at the prior restaurant and that we were waiting to see if a bar seat might open up. He empathized with us and immediately offered an open bar table or said we could wait on a couple guests that were cashed out and about to leave from the bar but that they would definitely get us seated somewhere. I was ecstatic and so grateful. We ended up getting the bar seating. The bartender was lovely. She was very attentive, and efficient. We had a wonderful time. Michaelangelo’s saved the day and they are now our absolute favorite restaurant in the area. The food is amazing, the staff is so considerate and helpful, and the atmosphere is inviting and comfortable.

Went for wife’s birthday. Great portions for fine dining place, and even better flavors. We sopped up the sauce for the calamari app w fresh bread. Berkshire pork shop special is incredible. Veal stuffed tortellini is so filling, pairs awesome w the Gavi. Service staff very attentive and kind.

Food here was excellent. We had the truffle sacchetti and the mushroom polenta as appetizers which were delicious. Main dishes including the Cavalli, gnocchi and risotto were also very well done. You can get two half orders if you want to try a couple things. The service was excellent. Waters and wines never hit the bottom ... until our bottle was done. BTW plenty of parking in the back and you don't need to Valet.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. From an attentive waitstaff and mind blowing dishes to the quality romantic feeling the atmosphere provides. Truly an outstanding experience from the moment we walked in the door. Everything was outstanding clean and the use of a UV light wand to ensure that, especially during COVID shows how much the owner cares about his guests. The dishes were out of this world, full of flavor, and packed a punch. I highly recommend.

Excellent food. Great wine . Cozy atmosphere. Loved everything, the only problem Was that we were group of 9 and the server did not want to put us at a table inside:(( we sat at the bar and loved the food and the place .

Michaelangelo's provided an amazing dinner experience. From the moment we were greeted by the hostess we felt truly valued as guests. The menu was enticing and the food was delicious! Much to the chagrin of my family, I ordered the vegetarian dish and it was superb! Our server Angie was fantastic, offering thoughtful suggestions to enhance our meal and attentive service throughout the evening. It is clear that you take great pride in serving the community elegantly presented and authentic Italian meals. We hope to come back soon.

The ultimate experience in fine dining. This is a fabulous Italian restaurant in Little Italy. The atmosphere is posh and trendy. There are 3 separate rooms for dining. The cozy bar area has a fireplace and the ambiance is relaxing and romantic. Service is welcoming, friendly and efficient. The food is delicious and perfectly prepared. We were beyond thrilled with the entire experience.

We almost missed the entrance. The faded yellow sign was tough to see in the late spring sunlight. Once inside... Very nice! Beautiful menu. Wine through dessert was amazing! Staff all on point! Loved this!
