If you’re looking for one of the best burgers around, Mixed Up Burgers should be at the top of your list. The burger I had wasn’t just good—it was memorable. The patty was perfectly seasoned and juicy, with just the right amount of char that gave it that smoky, grilled flavor. What really sets them apart is how well everything comes together: the fresh bun holds up without being too heavy, the toppings are crisp and flavorful, and the cheese melts right into the meat like it was made to be there. Every bite felt balanced—savory, with just the right crunch from the veggies. It’s the kind of burger that doesn’t need gimmicks to impress; the quality and attention to detail speak for themselves. Add in the friendly service and relaxed atmosphere, and you’ve got a spot that’s hard to beat. Simply put, Mixed Up Burgers serves one of the best-tasting burgers I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend.

When I walked in the cashier was not at the register and when she did come she looked at me weird. I ordered catfish, I waited a while and when she called my name to come to the counter and get my food, she just sat it on the counter and walked away.. When I checked my food it was not catfish it’s some other kind of fish.. My fries look horrible like dried out string beans.. I really got ripped off. I want ever come back here..

I’ve visited Mixed Up Burgers in Grand Prairie many times, and every single visit has been nothing short of amazing! This place is truly one of the most beautiful and fun spots to enjoy a meal. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is always friendly, and the food… absolutely out of this world. The burgers here are beyond incredible – juicy, flavorful, and made with so much creativity. Every bite is packed with taste, and they never disappoint. It’s easily one of the best burger joints not just in Texas, but anywhere. If you’re in Grand Prairie and want a spot that combines great vibes with insanely delicious food, Mixed Up Burgers is the place to be. Highly recommend it!

First time here! Quiet little mom and Pop shop they’ve been around since 2013. They used to be called the patty shack. I’ve heard about this place but I had never gone. Laura greeted us and took our order. I had the Frito pie burger, It was so good as well as you fried mushrooms! I didn’t get to eat a dessert, but they had ice cream and other amazing desserts. I will have to go back again just to try those. I also loved the nostalgic arcade feel that it had and the restrooms were clean as well! There’s something for everyone! Friendly staff and prompt service! I told Laura it’d be nice if mixed up burgers had a slider sampler platter. I think that would be great. Let’s see if that happens!

Google
Stopped by for the first time on a late Sunday to give it a try and wasn’t disappointed. Everything was great and tasty, the staff was very welcoming and super attentive. Will definitely be back!

Google
The burgers and service were both great, the only down side were the fries. The fries were not very good but I still rate it four stars despite that.

Google
Place is alright, just a simple burger and fries, the sausage/beef Italian mubster and football burger was great.

Google
This place is actually nice on the inside. Deducted stars with this visit only because there was a very overwhelming cigarette smoke smell despite it looking very clean. Our waitress was great but the food wasn't as great as before. I asked for my fish and shrimp to be fried hard, which came out fine, but my onion rings had a greasy/burnt taste. The girls were ok with their Irish burger, and my husband's food wasn't as hot as everyone else's but the touchdown itself was decent. Chicken strips basket was great. We spent $92 for 5 people.

Yelp
Hands down - best burger I've had in years. You can order at the counter but we'd never been there so the owner told us to sit. She explained the different options, didn't rush us, took our order and even got our drinks for us. Great service! The french fries are hand cut and perfect. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
New Solutions Club next door has this place smelling like a ashtray as soon as you walk in, that's me giving the benefit of the doubt and not directly saying it's the cooks smoking in the back. I used to LOVE this place, but have nothing to say great about it, My wife and I came in for the first time in a long time and this will be our last, we overlooked the smell of smoke due to the fact that we knew what the quality of food was in the past. Sadly if your familiar with how good this place once was you'll be highly disappointed. I'm not looking for gourmet burger but definitely didn't expect to pay $50 for two soft drinks and below average burgers. We expected to walk in order and seat ourselves, and unexpectedly ended up getting a bare minimum waitress to serve our table when this place is a "self serve." Establishment or used to be. Last but not least , I walked in with a pocket full of quarters to play arcade.... The games were lit but it had a sign in front of it that the "section was closed." We 90% bussed our own table, paid the disgusting price of $50 , and received no goodbyes on the way out. What happened ? Genuinely? New Owners ? Lowered standards ? Disappointed to see a cool concept go down the drain to people who either stopped caring or passed down ownership.

Yelp
No sure what has happened here since these last reviews, but the food was tasteless! Of course as mentioned, the place does smell like a pool hall, but my friend and I were willing to look past that since, I was starving! I wanted a burger, but ordered Parmesan wings since they were on special. Bad, bad, bad! There was ABSOLUTELY no flavor!!! I am not even sure what kind of watered down wings she had! The onion rings were FULL of grease, and obviously the oil needed to be changed! A few years back, she would sip on an Angry Orchard but was told it was now BYOB. (Guy received a couple free canned beers while we were there.) The decor still pretty cool, the waitress and staff friendly, but the change to how the food is prepared is terrible!

Yelp
The place is kind of hidden away behind a pawn shop. My family was hungry and the place smelled great, primarily because of the cooking meats. The young lady at the counter was friendly and smiled while she took our orders. We all had the Plain Jane burgers with Cheddar cheese. The patties were hand made, the buns were brioche bread, toasted on the grill with butter. Fries were delicious. I really enjoyed my burger, and will eat there again, when in the area.

Yelp
Makes me sad to leave a bad review for a business that is obviously fighting to stay alive but they got my order so wrong I thought I got someone else's food. I ordered their shakeadelic? burger without bacon but instead got a plain burger with lettuce, tomato and pickles. Not even cheese. It was $20. Never again.
google avatar

Yelp
The wings made me sick.. was up most the night throwing up. Somethings have changed over the years.
google avatar

Yelp
Soon as I walked in someone spoke and was friendly the whole time. Even came by to let me know the fries are almost readPlenty of space for a big party if you have one. Not a fancy place so if you are into vintage it will be fine for you. I think it would be cool if they had a picture book of their menu. Some stuff sound good but you don't know what they look like. Burgers are always good by the way. When it's slow they should touch up the tables and bathroom but nice

Yelp
Visiting Dallas for work and I found this little burger spot around the corner from my hotel. I was greeted with a smile once I walked in. It was pretty empty but a nice cozy spot. I pretty much knew what I wanted before I got there. I saw the touchdown burger which consisted of 2 patties with cheese, bacon and grilled jalapeños. Yessssss. It was so good. I also had a frozen margarita that really hit the spot on a 90 degree day. I'd definitely recommend trying them out if you're in the area.

Desiree M.

Yelp
Ordered the catfish, mushroom burger and kids meal. Didn't realize the cheese and mushroom are mixed in the hamburger meat. Everything came out hot and delicious. Nice, family ambiance.
google avatar

Brianna M.

Yelp
got this to go and the burgers and fries were good. fries taste homemade however they are a lil expensive it's like $20+ for a burger and fries.. idk if I would go back honestly for the price
google avatar

Tasha J.

Yelp
Overall, I really like this burger spot. I do not recommend calling in your order to go because they can be so hit or miss. However, I would order there and get it to go. Random, however almost all my "call-in" orders have been wrong and/or overcooked. Nonetheless, they are courteous and have good cooked-to-order hamburgers. Food: 9.8/10 Service: 8.7/10 Ambiance: 8.5/10

Yelp
I'm torn on this place. The food was good and we had a good time, but honestly I was expecting a little better. Pros: Tasty burgers Amazing cheese curds Awesome onion rings The few arcade games they had were a lot of fun Waitress was really nice Cons: Sides are all sold separate My ring of fire was good but underwhelming Burger needed more queso Charged extra for subbing for turkey burger My son's chicken strips were inedibly tough and dry
google avatar

Raymond G.

Yelp
Burger, fries and onion rings were good. The negative for me was the smell, but it seems it was a sewage issue. Place seemed pretty clean so I'd definitely give it another visit but maybe to-go

Yelp
Wow. Just wow. Please. Just please stop by this spot. Onion rings.. oh hey, sorry. Hi everybody. Decor is similar to Hodads in San Diego. Rustic, tin roofy, hodgepodge but hip. It's about the beef here. Thick patties, red onions sauteed. Cheddar. Onion rings look thick, but when you bite in. When you bite in. Think apple fritter light, but onion inside, and beer batter that's made from real beer. Like a lager. Like eating air/beer/onion. These should only be available at the State fair. We don't deserve these year 'round. That good. Service was spectacular. Service was on it like a hawk. Laser focused on making it an great experience. I skipped breakfast, super light early lunch. So this was dinner, and I was hungry, hungry. Um. I was full half way in. Done. I finished on pure greed for more flavor. I was in a burger trance. Take care, eat here.

Yelp
Stopped by and tried this place today ... Awesome food and great atmosphere! True family operation- even got to meet the owners who are such nice people! Definitely check out Mixed up Burger for a great burger!

Yelp
Best darn milkshakes in Arlington. Great Burgers and Tots Came here almost every evening when in town working Baseball or Football. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Wanted to take the family out for a treat and Mixed Up Burgers came straight to mind. The ambiance was casual and very down to earth. While we waited for our appetizers we took advantage of the various video games, which was fun. For starters we had the fried mushrooms and corn nuggets. Both came out hot and were very delicious. The burgers were so so good. My daughter ordered the Tex-a-wowie which she enjoyed but recommends less teriyaki sauce. The service was very prompt and attentive. This gem is a must try.
google avatar

Lori H.

Yelp
Any combination mixers in your Burger! The buns are just right and the fresh cut fries are my favorite. The ambiance is laid back with a do your own thing feel.

Jorge T.

Yelp
Has not disappointed yet. Highly recommend. And they don't take long from taking order till you walk out. Very fast and friendly staff.
google avatar

Amber G.

Yelp
The burgers are huge!!! We should have split them. The touchdown was so good!!!! We also had the chicken tenders which were great. The fish sandwich was eh. Great beer prices. The waitress was very good!! She kept on top of everything and all the tables.

Shelly C.

Yelp
The food was great! My husband had a tooter and he liked it. I loved mine. It had sour cream, chives and nacho cheese on it. The fries were ok. Service was awesome!

Yelp
Been coming here a loooong time and always referred peeps here if they were in the area and never had issues.....it had been a while so we stumbled in tonight. The smell Of cigarette smoke about knocked us over. The section away from the smoke was closed for no apparent reason. The food we tried to order they "were out" and so we went with plan B..... eyelash in our queso, the boneless wings looked more like meatballs and the sauce on them we are still trying to figure out, cause it wasn't wing sauce. Waitress was efficient but wouldn't call her friendly. It will be a long time before we venture back which I hate to say cause it's always been a great place - but tonight might have done us in.

Yelp
What a great group of folks here. They have been extremely courteous and kind to me each time I have visited. The food is awesome!! The service is great! Did I mention they think I smell great? My last visit they asked if I smell very ...... fabulous! Every item I have tried has been delicious, fresh and hot!! A must visit

Jami B.

Yelp
Delicious! Next time I'm going with extra cheese but I'll definitely be back! Really cool they have fisherman in there on Thursdays tying flies!
google avatar

Jeffrey G.

Yelp
Placed a delivery order for the Touchdown Burger basket. The burger was huge and really good, it was a little on the salty side, but overall really tasty. The bacon bits in the burger was great, the only thing missing was some mustard or ketchup so it was a little dry. Definitely will try again.

Yelp
It's lunchtime in Grand Prairie. We want a burger. Mixed Up Burgers has really good reviews, so off we go. It's in an OLD strip center just off the highway. Lots of tv's for watching the Cowboys. Quite a few arcade games for the young at heart. Great place to have a beer, and they just happen to have good food too! The good: They have great burgers. There are about 20 different "mixed in" items you can pick from that they will mix in with the meat while it cooks. Great flavor enhancers! Throw on some lettuce, tomato, and pickles and you've got a great burger. I had the Joe Schmoe and Jim got the Shackadelic. The BIG onion rings were a huge hit, and the waffle cut sweet potato fries were awesome! We chowed down every bite. The bad: We had one drink and a water. They charged us for two drinks. When we got our change, it was $5 short. Both things were taken care of, but only because we checked our ticket. My point is, check your tab. We loved the meal and service was great. Would definitely go back.

Riki W.

Yelp
Came in after a conference, came in at 9:45pm and they close at 11pm The place smells like cigarettes because of the bar next door. I asked about several things on the menu and I was told "they are out of them right now." We ordered burgers because that is what this place is known for. Not impressed! We ordered fry's & onion rings but they came out 15 mins after the burger. Again NOT impressed! The juke box takes your money and never plays! Not for me!
google avatar

Jaycee B.

Yelp
We tried Mixed Up Burgers today. Nice casual dining place with fun memorabilia on the walls. Hubs got the Ring Of Fire burger and I got the Homewrecker , Dirty style. Portion was HUGE and it was really good! I will say the tots and fries were not great. A little over cooked and flavorless. BUT they are a separate purchase so I will just not buy them next time and continue to eat the delicious mains!

Gerardo Manuel R.

Yelp
I don't know why I came up here again. The first time I thought that was only like a bad day for them but this time I got clear that this place is awful. The burgers's are okay but just okay. They take a loooong time to get your food. They don't even let you see the menu when they're asking you what u want and all that. The lady look at me like I was an insect weird. Honestly I came here today only cuz I was hungry asf and I was thinking... maybe this time it's going to be different. Now I got clear that I reader die of hunger than came here again. Please DO NOT COME HERE I never leave reviews but this time I had to.

Yelp
Food was great! We all had different burgers. Lots and choices of toppings and mix-ins, wow!!! Burger patty was definitely fresh and hot. Bun was warm and fresh. Veggies too. Our only complaint was the amount of time it took to receive the food. We understand it's a small establishment but it wasn't very busy.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Good burgers, good fries, good service, decent catfish (a little salty), and a decent price - this place is a great go-to for a good burger and a laid-back atmosphere. I was a little surprised that it smelled like smoke when we walked in, but otherwise it was a great experience.
google avatar

Danny T.

Yelp
Food and service were good. Catchy name in that there is a big list of things you can "mix into" your burger, even the turkey burger. Friendly staff, you do have to wait slightly longer than typical as it is prepared from scratch. My only drawback was I went to wash my hands after eating and paper towel dispenser was out in restroom. Not a huge deal as there are paper towels at the tables.
google avatar

Tiffany R.

Yelp
These burgers are really good! Unfortunately, the food is overshadowed by the overwhelming smell of cigarettes in the restaurant. It's giving we only want smokers to dine here. No thanks!

Mirna l.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night it was a bit quiet but the service and food was good. Totally recommend the burger that has mushrooms

Morgan C.

Yelp
We were visiting from San Antonio for the Cowboys game and decided to come eat here. It was pretty empty which was shocking because it's a cool spot. Great atmosphere and excellent customer service. And to top it off the burgers and onion rings were delicious! Unfortunately no pics because I dove right in but We will definitely back next time we visit!
google avatar

Caroline R.

Yelp
Oh. My. Gosh. This place was a perfect burger find for us. It is in a strip mall that if you drove by, you'd think it was nothing. But man, was it good. The burgers are made to order, and the ingredients are mashed up in the meat when cooked. It honestly made the burgers better. The tots were perfect, and the chili is the good little league chili you had as a kid at the fields. The batter on the onion rings was delicious and made in house. Jennifer was our waitress and walked us through everything on the menu, answered all our questions, and kept our cups full. She was awesome! You'd seriously be missing out if you didn't check out Mixed Up Burgers.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered delivery. Great burger. A classic but with a little more oomph. Fast. Delicious. Great service. Thank you.

Yelp
This place is hidden gem. You can't see it from the highway and it's been there for a long while. It's totally dive-y and very casual. Lots of craft beer and burger choices. I am not a burger person, but I can always make exceptions! I do like a good craft burger and you can definitely find them here. They have tons of options and I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of them. They have a list of tempting craft burgers and you can also customize your own. They have an open kitchen so you can watch your burger being made. The special thing about theses burgers is that they mix the ingredients into the actual burger patty. All the flavors melt together creating one delicious burger! I love the texture of these burgers. During the grilling process the outer layer of the patty develops a crunchy crust from all the mix-ins. The center of the patty is tender and juicy. These burgers are so flavorful and really good. YUM. I can't wait to come back for more.

Rylee S.

Yelp
This was a random pick when i had a hankering for a good burger and it definitely hit the spot! I love the customization of their menu and the fast service was notable. This place is a classic Texas burger joint.

Yelp
Stars (see key for details): 3.5 Pros: Really good burger and onion rings. Cons: Slightly odd smell, not sure if it's smoke or what. General comments: It is a mix between a dive bar and burger place. It does not have a full bar, but it feels like a dive bar...except the food is much better than a bar. So if your OK eating in a less than pristine place for a good burger, it is worth the drive (I drove 30 minutes.) If you want a pristine place to eat, grab the food to go and take it home. Key for star rating: 5 stars: Travel worthy - it's a dinning experience worth investing in. I'm already making plans to come back! 4 stars: No tears - your not going to cry (good or bad tears), but you won't be disappointed. This place will always be on my radar, I won't need to look this up next time I'm looking for food. 3 stars: Good - better than average. Positives outweigh the negative. I'll be back. 2 stars: OK - less than average. Negatives outweigh the positive. I won't be back unless a friend really wants to try this place. 1 star: AVOID - skip a meal before going here. No chance I'll be back.

Yelp
This was my first visit to MUB. I had a burger basket special called Blue Collar that is for dine in only. It's a 1/3 lb cheeseburger with everything including angus beef. It included hand cut fries and fountain drink. It was a great burger and filled me up. Fries taste like homemade. They got tables or bars to sit at. All bottle condiments including hot sauce are at your table. The dining area is rustic laid back with corrugated tin on the walls. There are several specialty burgers so check out the menu. I'll be back. I ate my burger before I remembered to take a photo but it was good!

Yelp
Not impressed. We were in town for a football game and just happened to stay at one of the hotels within walking distance of this place. Food was actually pretty good, which was extremely surprising. I liked how you could mix the different toppings and such, but it was a bit messy. Service: this is really where our experience went south. The two waitresses were fighting, so there was a lot of tension in the air and made it really uncomfortable. The larger woman waitress was definitely not a very nice person and it was very obvious when she was asked for directions by a truck driver who was lost - she flat out refused and his destination was a block behind the restaurant. I know it's not her job to give directions, but being a good person is free. The restaurant: So, this restaurant has smell/feels like there's grease on everything. I'd assume it's because the kitchen is basically in the lobby. A good cleaning and a refresh could do a lot of good for this restaurant. Overall I'd probably never come back only because of the servers fighting. I know help is hard to find, but those two need to be let go and replaced with anyone.

Korey S.

Yelp
Great service food is good a little pricey but definitely worth it. The energy in there give a different energy, they do need to watch people smoking because it smelled like a pack of them.

Yelp
Cherry bomb burger and curly fry. No drink. $16 and some change. Time: around 3 on a Saturday Parking- good Staff- cashier seemed friendly. Another lady who was helping count cash looked at me in a way that made me want to get my order to go, though. It wasn't a very friendly countenance. Restaurant- clean, cool temperature, spacious. Let me preface with the fact that I LOVE cheeseburgers. They're my favorite thing to eat. I just thought that this burger wasn't top 5. It was too big- and not just because of it being double meat. The two hot links that come on top? I ended up removing them. They should've been sliced thinner. I feel the burger would've been great if it were seasoned more. I get that the ingredients are mixed into the burger, but seasoning the meat goes a long way. I would've liked to add another piece of cheese in between the patties, as well. Jalapeños are diced and in between the patties. I like that they toast the buns. The curly fries were very good. I would come back to try another burger to give this place a second chance. I just don't see myself ordering the CB again, or rushing back to try a different kind of burger.

Yelp
I had time to waste while working in Dallas and wanted a burger. I stopped here and had a burger and fries. But this burger came spicy and with queso. I put the queso on ybe side. (Dip for my fries) the burger was average. The customer service was good. Staff refilled my drink even though I don't think they needed to. I would give this place a second outing.

Vikram J.

Yelp
The best place to have burgers and drinks hands down awesome shack style Decor Try their classic burgers with all add on mixed in the premium Angus beef Not frozen for sure taste says it all Hands down best burgers in grand prairie/dallas / Fort Worth / Arlington

Yelp
Every time Im working in the area I try to stop here and eat. Today I got the catfish basket. It was made to order so I probably waited 15 minutes but I'm not in a rush for lunch, if you are you can always call ahead or order online. The fish was crispy and flaky and had good taste. The fries were ok but I usually get tots. I also love the cherry bomb burger but I did not get a picture of that this time around.

Krystal T.

Yelp
I decided to treat my family to a meal. I check Google maps and this place came up. We ordered burger combos and chicken wings. The flavor was so good on them wings! It was cooked to the bone. No wet and wiggly spots. But is was too expensive for just 8 wings . It was $15 and a family pack of wings cost that much. The burger was seasoned well but too dry. It was like a Popeye's biscuit going down my throat. Lastly, the drinks. The cups were filled with ice that we didn't have much to drink. Two sips and it was gone. The inside smelled like a cigarette and no one had on masks. That's an FYI. I wouldn't go back unless a friend treated me for takeout there. Yes

Yelp
Just happens to be the closest burger joint near my new place of employment... After reading their reviews & seeing the pics, I knew I had to try it. Since it was on a Tuesday, I was able to try their burger 1/2 price! And as some of you may already know, chili cheese fries are my weakness! But I just didn't want to eat too much, so I just ordered the "Tooter". That's their chili cheese burger & a side of fries for $3! They give you so many fries in a single order, you could share them. Their staff is friendly & the restaurant itself has a nice feel to it. If I didn't live so far away, I would be able to bring my family for some fun & good food!
