Koreana Asian Grill and Sushi

The food is to die for. The portions are huge and well worth the $$. We had sushi and a Korean pancake with seafood for an appetizer. Our main dish I had Chap Chae, a stir fried sweet potato vermicelli noodle dish 😋 and my husband had the Bibimbap. AND we had leftovers to take home.

We just moved to the Toledo area and I was thrilled to find a Korean restaurant. I got one of my favorite Korean dishes which is the Chap Chae. It was absolutely wonderful! My best friend was trying Korean cuisine for the first time and she got the Chicken Bibimbap. She said it was delicious. I was so happy and relieved that she could share my love of Korean food and wants to come back sometime soon.

Do not go here! The owner has changed and the new owners are absolutely Terrible. The food quality has plummeted! The first time coming here since the owners changed, I was Somewhat disappointed with the food. Two days ago, I tried it again (sushi boat), take out and the white tuna (Expensive butter tuna) Was Rotting as there was an ammonia smell to it I called to let the restaurant know and I said I would come back the next day if they would do 50% off. I did that, I get home to eat the nigiri, And it smells like formaldehyde… Absolutely terrible. From Windex one day to a biology lab the next… Under the previous owner, this place was absolutely Amazing, the best sushi anywhere… It’s obvious the new owner is using old Fish of a lesser quality…. Update: After being told to call back when the manager is available, Koreana blocked my phone number. Ridiculous. I may have to file a case because they don’t want to refund me for their old/decomposing food.

We visited for the 1st time tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday, and it was wonderful! The food was delicious and our server was friendly and prompt. The live music was a nice touch. We will definitely visit again!

I don't have anything bad to say about this place. It was just different. The broth to the ramen was decent. We got the pork belly appetizer for like twelve dollars and it literally was like two thin pieces of bacon cut up into maybe 6 pieces. That part definitely was not worth the money at all

First time visitor. There was an interesting odor when we entered this establishment. It wasn't necessarily bad, just different. Perhaps some sort of incense. My husband and I both looked at each other with raised eyebrows and we knew this would be a different sort of experience. The chairs are comfy, you sort of sink into them. They did have armrests, so a very large person may have some trouble or have to ask for a different chair. I got red wine and it was served in a large glass, so that was a plus! The food was okay. My husband got the sashimi and it was ice cold in the middle, very obviously had been frozen or at least near frozen earlier in the day. We wouldn't go here again unless all the other sushi restaurants we frequent were unavailable/super busy.

My husband and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary here- it was our first time visiting and we will absolutely be back. We started with a Bulgogi Kimbop roll, and it was delicious! I may have to go back and make a meal out of Kimbop Rolls!! My husband had the Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap bowl, and I had Chapchae with chicken. Entrees come with Banchan; our server was able to walk us through what the sides were, and let us know that they occasionally change! The edamame ans broccoli were really good, and the kimchi was a great accent for our meals! Every item was delicious. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and sweet. The owners are also very sweet, and their passion for the food and their restaurant shines through. The atmosphere is calm, and we loved having a relaxing dinner. We were also gifted some mochi for dessert, as they knew it was our anniversary. Koreana is a gem- be sure to try it out! (My apologies for forgetting to take pics before we dug in!!)

The worst server of all time! The five of us went to this place for a night out. The server just simply was not skilled or trained enough. My wife and son ordered sushi and he brought just one small cup for the soy sauce. When my wife asked for a 2nd cup he rolled his eyes back. He kept going back and forth bringing in one dish at a time with a 5 minute gap. We waited 30 minutes before all of us got our meals. Then I asked for water for everyone , he never returned....30 minutes later we had to ask another server to serve us water. Then collecting the dishes, he allowed our table to accumulate with dishes, he placed a serving tray and asked to place the dishes on it. We told him that it's his job to do that. Another 20 minutes later he gave us the bill. Twenty minutes after that he came back for our signature and we left a mere 10% tip. A group of people sat next to us and this waiter made them wait 20 minutes and asked them if they wanted appetizers. They were like, ah...can you give us the menu first? We warned them about this server. Now the food was excellent. Hope this dude who looks Asian and wears glasses gets training. Otherwise go somewhere else or ask for a different server.

One night in Toledo, I came to Koreana to have a great meal. I read some amazing reviews on Koreana both on yelp and reddit, and decided I needed to try it. This place did not disappoint! Coming in, though i was a little worried. It is located in this strip mall, hidden from the road. Entering it, the place is very dark. I was wondering if maybe I was making a mistake coming here. It was not. It was great! The service was excellent. The server was very attentive. She routinely came by to see how we were and if we were enjoying our meal. My family all did! Our appetizer was the pork belly sampler. My brother and I both love pork belly, and this was a rather delicious version! My mom just had a bowl of miso soup, she loves that type of soup and just wanted to have that. She said it was so flavorful. My brother had the chicken katsu, which he raved about. I had a piece and can tell you it was excellent. Crunch on outside, tender on the inside, perfect! I had the spicy pork bulgogi. I have eaten bulgogi before but only beef, so i wanted to try it out but with this twist. I absolutely loved it! Spicy, tasty, great flavor, it had it all! We were too full for dessert, but i bet it would have been wonderful as well. I greatly recommend this place!

I am very impressed by the restaurant interior. It would be a perfect date spot. The bar area is organized and looked romantic. The food was good. We got their house sake and it paired well with the food. I think there are rooms to improve on the food. The chicken teriyaki was overcooked. I got the Peter Parker roll; it can be better with fresh shrimp tempura.

Unique take on Asian cuisine..food and service is wonderful ..we will definitely be going back

My family and I have been going to Koreana since way back when they were at their old location, and we are BLOWN AWAY EVERY TIME! The owner is a phenomenal host, and the food is always made from scratch. If you haven't been here, you're missing out!

This is hands-down, the most underrated Asian food in Toledo. I turned 40 again today... This is the second time I have had my 40th birthday at Koreana and both times everything was spectacular. The service is phenomenal, the menu is enormous, and the execution wonderful. It's a really beautiful place. Don't let the strip mall exterior fool you, this is a great date night or celebratory spot. I get sushi every time I'm here and for a Korean restaurant it definitely does not disappoint . We had multiple entrées and multiple sides being passed around the table. There was not one disappointing bite to be had. In the age of Covid finding consistently good food is difficult. Hats off to the folks at Koreana.

When I go to a restaurant I want a couple of basic things: good food and good service. I struck out at this joint. I was greeted by a waiter and sat at a table. I asked for barley tea, they didn't have any (strike one). I ordered bibimbap. I walked to the bathroom and my shoes kept sticking to the floor (foul ball, strike two). I was left to sit for fifteen minutes with a glass of water (strike three). I finally had to get up and ask if everything was okay; I was assured my food was about to come out (foul ball). Why wasn't I served banchan while I waited (strike four). Finally I was served everything at once. Food was okay. Suddenly the waiter walks over and throws the bill on my table (strike five) -- wait! He was ticked I had the nerve to complain? I know Korean food a bit. I wouldn't go back to this joint with its surly waiters and sticky floors and okay food. I'd find another Korean restaurant to go to. Oh, and wait, it's three strikes and you're out; I was up to strike five.

Food- excellent. Loved the sushi and choices. Also loved the BiBimBop. Service- excellent. Staff was so friendly Ambiance- excellent. Enjoyed the live music too

Great food and service! Ambiance was moody. I liked it! Peaceful and I could hear my conversation. We did family style with 4 ppl. We got shrimp tempura, calamari, and pork belly for apps. Them tempura and calamari were crispy! The pork belly I pictured to be thick but it was like cut up thin bacon. Came with lettuce so you could eat it like a wrap. It had sauce on it that was good. Mild spice. We also split spicy seafood dish and kalbi. Both were delicious and would recommend. Seafood dish had mussels, scallop, shrimp and veggies. Spice level was mild. Perfect for ppl that can't handle that much heat. Kalbi was tender. It came with banchan. Wish there were more banchan. There was about 5 and the potato one was my fav. Can't wait to go back to try other dishes!

A quality Korean restaurant in Toledo! How cool. I went here on the recommendation of someone who has studied in Korea, so I felt pretty confident it would be good. It was! I ordered the beef bibimbap. When you get this (maybe any entree) it also comes with 4 side dishes (called Banchan). I don't know if you get to request certain dishes, or not. I got kimchi (great!), broccoli (yay!), something I have no idea what it was but good, and then maybe olives but I didn't try that. The bibimbap was excellent as the main dish. Also it came with a side of soup! I also got friend dumplings as an appetizer. The sauce container spilled open, soaking the dumplings, so that was a bummer (takeout order probs) but they were super good. The takeout time for an early dinner was only 35 min, so FYI.

Some of the food was good. The Korean version of sushi was refreshing. the bulgogi was sweet, without enough of the garlic or onion flavor. Noodles were good. Service was good. The side dish that comes with the meal - pathetic broccoli, tofu, bean, kimchi. Very small quantities stranded on a large dish. There are 10 ways you could have presented this better. The really large dish just highlighted the fact that the food was pathetic and a small volume. But overall it just felt like someone gave up on this restaurant a awhile ago. The menus were sticky and dirty. In the bathroom there were only 2 stalls and one had a broken door. The floors were also sticky and my shoes kept making a noise when I would lift them up. Whoever is responsible should make a bit more of an effort. It seems like they have a regular clientele and they just keep churning out the same stuff.

Not open for dining until Tuesday. Ordered 3 crab kimbap and added kimchi to the rolls and a tteokbokki appetizer. Total $35.80. I noticed I was charged $1 for an extra side of kimchi to the rolls, probably a good idea to let the patron know there's additional cost to add it when I ordered it, it's just good practice. Hayley made sure to clean off the counter surface by her as well as the doors when I left, that's good practice for sure. The rolls looks good and packed at least. The tteokbokki seems a bit small for $9, even if it's an appetizer portion. Hayley advised it was enough for a meal, not in agreement. I would have ordered a second order since my hubby and I both love this dish, then again it would be a small amount for $18 worth. Their tteokbokki sauce was a bit sweet, not bad, not sure it's worth the amount for what little you get in the serving and definitely not enough to share. The crab rolls with kimchi were good. Egg rolls are a not over cooked, but tasted good anyways. I liked the crab and kimchi in the roll. They were big and filled too.

There are days that I just crave bibimbap because of this restaurant. Everything is so fresh. There are still a couple decorations from the last restaurant which is obscure, but that adds to the uniqueness of this place. The best is when you go on a night where it is slow, and Mr kim, the owner, serenades you on his saxophone. No matter the case you need to go and try this place out. Food is delicious, the wait is sometimes slow, but that is worth it for how good everything is. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

It's possible that we stopped by at the wrong time. The service was not very inviting and it seemed like we were imposing on the people behind the counter. The wraps were dried out most likely from sitting around. It wasn't fresh at all. I ordered soup that was at best, room temperature. So $35 and it all went into the trash. Not likely I would ever return or recommend this place to anyone!

Had not been here in a long time. We went last weekend and my udon was so bad they took it off the bill. Just completely flavorless with weird floaties in the broth. My husband didn't love his dish either. The sushi was skimpy and did not hold up to other places for a comparable price. The only thing we really liked was the tempura vegetables and Service was good. Food, not so much. I'm not sure I'd go back. Very disappointed. They were busy though.

Toledo is not known for a large quantity of Korean restaurants, so when I went to dinner here, I was not sure what to expect. It's actually really nice. The inside is well appointed and decorated with lots of natural wood tones and cultural objects that create a nice atmosphere without being too kitschy. The bar area is very lovely as well. The food is fresh and well prepared. I really enjoyed the tteokbokki, which are like a really thick rice noodle on a nice red sauce that brings great sweetness and flavor to the dish. The texture was great. There was bite without being overly chewy or gummy. I also ordered the chap chae, which is a stir fried glass noodle with meat and veggies. So good. I will definitely be back for more! The service left a little to be desired. Our waitress was not super attentive and we had to wait a decent amount of time for things like salt shakers and forks, or even the bill. Overall, I definitely recommend this establishment. It is one of the best restaurants I have been to in the area and I will definitely be back.

Great food to choose from, friendly service and attentive, plus decent ambiance / decor

I was driving home to CT from IL and as I was passing Toledo around dinnertime, I had a craving for good Korean food. This hit the spot perfectly. The mackerel was perfectly cooked and just the comfort food I needed. I got a kimbap roll to go for a midnight snack on the road. Thanks for the welcome, Toledo!

This restaurant is classy from the entrance on in. I suspect the owner is a bit of a collector as there are several interesting and sophisticated pieces of decor. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. We got a Philadelphia roll. It was a nice, bite-sized roll, not too big, like sushi rolls usually are for me. We also shared beef bulgogi with optional lettuce wraps. It was all very flavorful. The beef had little glaze bits that added a bit of yum. We got a nice scoop of rice. The large lettuce leaves were crisp and fresh. Hubby liked all the sides and said the kimchi and the fish cakes were particularly good. Now all we need is a nap!

Theu say the smaller dying cities have the best hidden gems and this is it. They are simply yhe best in toledo. From the custom decor to the fresh ingredients to the authentic dishes. Prices are very reasonable. Service is always the best. Whenever we come back to Toledo we try to stop in.

I came here cause I as really craving sushi and ramen. I was here around 6:30pm on a Saturday evening. For the customer size that they have, I think they are grossly understaffed. I waited for about 15-30 mins to get seated and waited another 15-30mins to get my food. My waiter was really nice so I honestly can't be mad. I ordered the seafood jjambong noodles and crazy california sushi roll. To be honest the food was okay; a 3.5/5 for me.. Overall I think this restaurant was an ok experience and maybe not worth the hype or price.

My husband and I LOVE eating here! We dont go too often as it's a bit out of our way but we definitely crave it often! The atmosphere is really nice and quiet with subtle music in the background. The staff are nice and have even recognized us at this point. My husband is a huuuge fan of the kimchi bibimbap and gets it every time. He says it's the best in the area. I go back and forth between the same and sashimi depending on my mood. Their sushi is fresh, great selection and well displayed. It's also right across from one of our go to game stores so we always get to go to both when in the area. Highly recommend going here for great korean food and great sushi!

My wife and I were quite happy with our experience here. We visited on a Saturday night around 8:30 PM. It turned out to be good timing as it was still a little busy but it was not difficult to find a table. The location on Airport Hwy just of I-475 was convenient. It was in a small strip plaza which made parking very easy. We were greeted and seated relatively quickly and our sever attended to us right away. We found the service to be quite good in general. The menu was essentially sushi and Korean specialties, as advertised. Favorites such as Bibimbap and Bulgogi were featured among others. My wife chose an avocado salad and a bulgogi kimbop for her dinner. Both were good. The salad featured a generous portion of avocado. The kimbop was essentially a slightly different take on a roll as it was bulgogi meat and vegetables wrapped in rice with a seaweed exterior. I had a California roll to start which was nicely done. For my main, I had the stir-fried calamari which was outstanding. Infused with a spicy chili sauce, it had a delightful zing that was the highlight of my meal. The bill including drinks, tax and tip was $42. At $21 apiece all in, I was very happy considering the quality of the experience. We will take the chance to come back when we can.

Some of the best sushi in town a bit of a hidden gem. It's a bit...eccentric. Seats are too low for the tables, they have a nice bar that's unattended, but food and service are both very good

My parents frequent this place. It's quaint and the prices are reasonable. I wasn't sold (but I also have a lot of sushi and Korean options in Cincinnati to compare it to). My tuna roll was cheap ($5), but it sure didn't have much tuna. My dolsot bibimbap wasn't great. Stone bowl cold, not much meat, red sauce was watered down. We have a great Korean restaurant near our house and this place doesn't hold a candle to their bibimbop!

Great date spot! Great atmosphere! Delicious food! Warning: if they're busy, you'll have to be patient and wait a bit. I've been to Koreana a handful of times now and each time the food does not disappoint! They have a good variety of choices with a Korean/Japanese/Sushi combination -- they do it all well! The atmosphere and decor is elegant, warm, inviting, and a tad rustic. It's a great date/double date restaurant and they also have larger tables for families and large group too! Service: the past few times I've came, they seem to be short one to two workers. The ones there are hustling and sometime seems frazzled coming to the front to see a line of people. However, they are super polite and honest with the potential wait time too. Overall, the service I've had has been stupendous though I think having an extra hand might smooth things out? Food: everything I've had has been scrumptious! There's a pristine level of detail with the flavors and always a freshness to their food. Here's a list of things that I've had and recommend: - Pork Belly Sampler - Seafood Pajeon - Dolsot Bibimbap - LA Kalbi - spicy pork bulgogi - Seafood stirfry - Army Stew (Budae chigae) - and I don't remember which sushi/sashimi I've ordered, but it was solid.

Woah...what happened here?? Somewhere along the line Koreana has gone to new owners. We used to go regularly, but then got really busy and were unable to visit one of our favorite restaurants in a few months...until today. To begin with, the sashimi dinner we ordered was still frozen and the slices were anywhere from 1/4" thick to nearly an inch thick. We separated the fish to try to allow it to thaw before eating it, but it was forming little puddles underneath the slices. After only eating two pieces from the whole plate, we sent it back. The sauces were different. Were I used to find the Tteobokki addictive because of the delicious sauce, it was just mediocre this time. Also, the sauce served with the Beef Bolgogi lettuce wraps was not as good as normal. Seems to me that when a sushi chef is really skilled, you can tell it in something as simple as how the roll is rolled and how it is cut. The presentation is the cherry on top. We've had a lot of sushi and a lot of it has been at Koreana, with the former chef/owner behind the counter making it. The rolls we had from the new chef were sloppy in every way, not rolled well, not cut well, overly smothered in sauce and not artfully presented. Also, and very strangely, the wasabi was tasteless. I didn't realize that was even possible. We're shocked and disappointed. We won't be back, which is sad. I hope the former owner is well and enjoying whatever new adventure he is doing now.

People don't know what authentic Korean food tastes like. Go here and find out. The food is great and so is the service.

We were just passing through this area on a road trip out East, and came across this gem of a restaurant. The Korean dishes were authentic, and came out fast. Everything tasted as Korean foods should taste like. Oh the other delightful thing was that the sushi chef is also a saxophonist. In between preparing sushi, he would entertain the guests. We thought we were hearing a recording over the speaker, but it was live music! We will definitely be back!

Found the place to be very dark, lacking some lighting. Table at waiting area was covered in sti KY mess and alot of water spots. While walking to our table once cleaned, noticed our shoes were sticking to the dirty floor. Once at our table, we noticed how nasty and dirty the tables were. Likely haven't had an actual cleaning in sometime. The provided spoon and glassware were very dirty as well. Heard dogs barking from the kitchen area. The man making the sushi yelling at the server everything they put an order in. The food and service from our waitress were good. The atmosphere was terrible and as well as their cleanliness.

I've been to this place a few times and I'm generally impressed with the outlook of the food. I had the yakiudon and the sweet potato roll. The quality was decent and they're very consistent with taste of their food. Would definitely come back again!

Not being local to the Toledo area, I did like I always do and consulted Yelp for a good place to eat. And boy did this place not disappoint! I was only in town for about a week, and I ate here 3 times! Their food is so delicious, and they have a wonderful sake selection. The location itself is a little bit out of the way, and I did get lost the first time I went here, but it is worth it! If you are in the area, and you want some delicious Asian fusion food, this is the place you want to go! Plus their service is fantastic! I had three different servers, and each one of them were great.

I have never experienced such a bad experience here. A bandaid in my salad though? The chef wasn't wearing gloves? I've worked boh before and this is just plain disrespectful. The sushi was poorly wrapped as well. And doesn't taste that great. It's a shame because I normally love coming here but I will never be back.

Great bi bim bop!! I like to get the bulgogi bi bim bop. Bulgogi in general is just very good here. My kids love it. ..if you don't like spicy, try the bulgogi bi bim bop with teriyaki sauce. We've been here many times and it's consistently good. There is an appetizer that is surprisingly good called the Royal Court which is beef with rice cakes as well as some vegetables. The restaurant is where FiFi's used to be. Nice decor. Highly recommend: bulgogi bi bim bop, bulgogi and royal court

The food is so good! We love their soups and been bulgogi bibimbap. Their sushi is also very good, but there is regularly something left out of your roll (even if it's straight off of the menu, on their specials board, or you specifically added something to a roll). Try their royal court ttekbokki and their plum wine or ginger tea! There are plenty of beautifully carved wood tables, music that isn't overwhelming, and the servers are wonderful and helpful.

Every time we order, the food is always delicious and the staff are nice and quick. The kimchi and royal court dukbokki are some of our favorites but you really can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

Really Good food, love the sushi rolls!. Nice atmosphere with a cool vibe. Go with a group of friends or a nice quiet date. You don't feel rushed out.

My wife and I cannot get past the sushi rolls and for an appetizer you have to try the beef monu by far the best in the area! Friends also recommend the orange chicken.

Food is not fresh. Udon is have black color inside, udon definitely expired, discuss with the boss how to solve the problem, his attitude is very bad!

Best Korean food! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The kimchi and all the bonchon is excellent as well. I live out of town and hit this place every time I visit Toledo. Excellent!

We love it here! The bibibop with beef is very very good. They have a spicy sauce on the side that is very good. The environment is great! Joey and Daniel are great servers and we always enjoy our time with them. The owner plays the saxophone for some background music and it is very fun and special. Koreana is a must view restaurant in Toledo!

This is probably the closest to good Korean food in the toledo area. We ordered the bulgogi kimbap- all of the ingredients tasted fresh and every bite of it leaves me with wanting more-, chicken bibimbap & ddouk mandu guk! Servers are friendly and accommodating!

After 20 years since I spent a year in Korea I've been waiting to try bulgolgi again and this place is amazing. I highly recommend this place and I'm definitely coming back soon. The sushi is great, nothing bad to say about anything other than that the bibimbop could have used a little extra seasoning. But not worth taking away a star.

Giving this review three stars feels generous. We waited nearly an hour for our meal to be served and when the appetizers finally came the plates were chipped, one of them on all sides. Given the prices on the food coupled with the long wait time, we will not likely be back if we are in the area again. The food itself was tasty and hot, but the child in our group was almost asleep before the food arrived. Not their best show for a half filled restaurant on a Saturday evening. Our waitress was fantastic, and the atmosphere is nice.

Easily one of the best restaurants I have discovered in recent times. I was completely blown away by the quality of the food, the service hospitality and professionalism, the peaceful and serene atmosphere, and above all, the variety of meals to choose from. I literally took a solid 15 minutes just reading through all the various Japanese and Korean meal options they had to offer. Sadly, there is no more Shabu Shabu, but there are myriads of alternatives. Upon recommendation for the great waiter (Daniel, I believe), we were introduced to Bolgogi, which is essentially Korean beef. It is very tender, very tasty, and very sweet! I for one, ordered the Shuralang Tang (might be misspelling it completely?), which was a Korean style stew with noodles, very thin sliced beef, vegetables, and a most tasteful hearty broth. The sushi is varied as one would expect of a quality restaurant. But may I highly recommend trying the Kimbop, Korean style sushi. As an aficionado of sushi, this was my first time, and dare I say I enjoyed the Kimbop more than the Japanese style chef's choice we also ordered here. The biggest difference is that the neat is cooked, and the vegetables are marinated. Extremely good! I ordered the bolgogi option. I can easily see myself returning to explore more of the varied menu, and I eagerly anticipate it. The service was terrific, ranging in conversations from James Cameron, Terminator, The NBA finals, dialect, linguistics, LA traffics, etc. Not that one must dress up to go to Koreana, but I would not say it's a place to come in board shirts and sandals.or a tank top and short shorts, etc. It's a very serene environment, with soothing trickling water in the background, a dimly lit setting, close quarters tables, and a peaceful instrumental soundtrack. You may be taken aback as you enter, because there is little to no noise, so conversations may seem like they need to be whispered haha. I wholeheartedly recommend giving Koreana a welcome visit. Explore your taste buds, order something that intrigues you. If you are not the bold type, don't fret, they still have more traditional Japanese options such as, Chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu, Shrimp Tempura, etc. As for price range, I'd say they're a little higher, but nothing absurd or drastic. I'd say it could easily be $15-20 per person, varying on appetizers, drinks, and sushi. *There is no WiFi.

This was our first time at Koreana. The atmosphere surprised me because I would never have guess it according to the restaurant's location ... in a strip. Friends of ours made the recommendation and I am no glad the did. The server was knowledgeable and quite passionate about the food. I ordered the chicken Bibimbap because of the traditional korean popularity. I would definitely order it again. I had enough left over to eat for lunch the next day.

My family has been fans of Korea Na ever since they were in their old location on Reynolds. Their menu has since expanded, the ambiance is less casual and more classy, and Mr. Kim doesn't wait tables himself or "work the room" like he used to. However, all of the waitstaff are clearly chosen and molded to be just as friendly and approachable as the owner himself, and Mrs. Kim's food is as delicious as it ever was. The expanded menu has moved away from using Korean terminology and more toward English descriptions -- so, if you want to order the ojinga bokeum, you'll need to look for the stir-fry calamari on the menu. They have also started offering other sauces and options in addition to the standards, such as different bibimbaps apart from beef with gochujang (spicy) sauce. If it's your first time trying Korean, don't let the massive menu freak you out. Just ask your server for recommendations; I'm sure Mr. Kim has them trained to give ideas as sound as his own. I've never eaten any of Mrs. Kim's food that I didn't like, though, so if you're not picky, you could just close your eyes and point...

The food was so delicious and beautiful presentation. Owner played the saxophone - Saturday night. Cant wait to go back and bring friends with us.
