The Vineyard Farmer's Market

Love this place. It is an unexpected gem in the otherwise less exciting town scape. What you notice immediately is how much cooler it is under the arches, because of the vegetation growing over. With no exception, all vendors bring something unique to the table. This is a genuine farmers market, without the usual knicknacks. From fruit, to spices, to bread and coffee, everything was appealing to nose and eye. We walked away with a few pounds of coffee from Fabriano. Excellent coffee. I'm using their coarse ground Black Magic for my cold brew. Recommended from the bottom of my coffee loving heart!

I decided to check out this farmers market for one of my classes at Fresno State and was surprised at how reasonable the prices were for farm fresh produce, I also liked that there were things you don't find at regular grocery stores like different types or melons and things like pluots and mushrooms. Some organic and some regular, if your looking for reasonablely priced farm to table products this is the place to go. Looking forward to going again thank you! Also make sure you bring cash and maybe a bag to carry your goods. Overall great experience

Absolutely beautiful Farmers Market. It's probably the prettiest in Fresno. My go to Flower stand is here. I used her small bouquets for my Surprise! We got married party back in 2017.

This is my goto Farmer's Market for locally gown produce. Conveniently located, just two blocks east of Whole Foods on Shaw Ave. I visited today for the first time since pandemic began in early 2020 and as always its a super pleasant environment. The venue is shaded by a canopy of vines and beckons you to enter on a warm summer day. Prices are reasonable and in many cases below what you might pay elsewhere (like Whole Foods) and the produce is exceptional. I've included a few images (taken quite some time ago) - including one of a parrot I captured that was perched up in the tree above the entry. If you've never been there -- change that an GO.

Absolutely wholesome farmers market! Diverse vendor selection included tamales, goat cheese, sourdough goodies, micro greens, gourmet mushrooms, lots of fresh produce and other prepared items. We picked up figs, grapes, apricots, donut peaches, tortillas, hummus, goat cheese, bell peppers, fresh orange juice and brats. We visited on Saturday morning and would have loved to visit others farmers markets in the area to get a better idea of the Fresno-area agriculture.

Always a great time at the Vineyard Farmers market. Fresh and organic foods. Flowers, fresh roasted coffee fills the air with 💕💕 Great time with family, loved ones or that special someone.

Rude Lady there treated me like I was a bum or homeless barely got there to see what they had was planning on purchasing something there just because I had time waiting for my wife to go on lunch she escorted me until I was off the property 🤦‍♂️ never would I go back or recommend anyone to go there including family and friends

I started going on Wednesday after I figured out the River park farmers market is not a farmers market. The venders are OUTSTANDING! I am kicking myself for not going sooner. The produce and fruit selection is fantastic. The venders are very accommodating. The price of the products is wonderful. And the arch makes it all come together. The best part is you are supporting local businesses. As Arnold said " I'll be back".

Hours are wrong on Yelp. 4/23/25. Hours were listed as 2-5. Got there at 230 on Wednesday and they weren't open yet. On a high note...it's strawberry season! I saw trays and trays of fresh strawberries being unloaded. Good tomatoes there, too. Hungry for a BLT now?!

A relatively small, though very charming farmers market that features everything from organic meat to fresh eggs, fresh flowers, honey, sprouts, and just about every seasonal fruit and vegetable you can imagine. There is also a local coffee roaster that sells fresh coffee as well as whole and ground beans. The mushroom vendor is very well informed and can give great cooking ideas for the different varieties of mushrooms for sale. Music plays in the background and an airy trellis protects you from the heat/sun. Parking is ample. Culture bakehouse is there every Saturday morning, and they have a line. So, get there early, but know that they're worth the wait. Today, I purchased a few of my favorites: is salted caramel bun, plain, croissant, and bagels. Rocky oaks creamery. A great place to visit, independently AND we have the good fortune of having a variety of their goat, milk cheeses available at this farmers market, as well as fresh eggs. Many vendors sell, honey. Today, I visited Kingsburg, honey and tried jujube honey for the first time! Raphio chocolate: Pure, simple, gorgeous. GET some of this chocolate. High-quality chocolate from origins from around the world. Armenian food, authentic and homemade. I love talking to the owner each weekend and trying the different things that he has made fresh, including baba ghanoush, all sorts of Mediterranean, salads, quiches, and soups... It's hard not to try everything. The elderly gentleman will tell you, with a sparkle in his eye, what he does to make his recipes a little extra special on any given day. Today's purchase: baba ghanoush, stuffed grape leaves that are so tender, and two kinds of stuffed dough pockets: spinach, and beef. Most vendors take credit cards, but it's a good idea to have a little cash for one produce vendor with a beautiful display who only takes cash. I love supporting local farms and businesses.

Small cute market with incredible produce. I've never seen a farmers market with such clean and almost aesthetic produce! They also have other vendors selling hot chocolate, hot sauce, bee wax products and jams. There was only one beef vendor and it was a lot more expensive that anticipated for frozen meat. Most places take card or Venmo.

A permanent part of my Saturday morning routine! Love all the fresh, local produce. I also enjoy the baked goods from Culture Bakehouse and prepped foods from other vendors as well. The vendors are all wonderful and super helpful in selecting items. The market is usually bustling on a Saturday morning. A great place to support local farmers and vendors

The prices of produce and pumpkins cannot be better here. Also the coffee guy has the best coffee beans and he has black coffee and also a bunch of different flavors. He can grind your coffee there too or you can purchase whole bean coffee. I bought some pumpkins which were only a dollar each which is half the price of Whole Foods mini pumpkins. The service was great. The ambiance is always clean here with lots of parking.

Nice little spot for some good eats. I bought a flat of organic strawberries so that I can make strawberry preserves. The persimmons were huge and flavorful. I also purchased some pastries that were amazing paired with my hotel coffee.teehee. At the time, I forgot about the coffee roaster who has a spot there. Coming from out of state, I'll definitely be back as much as possible. I'm hoping for plum tomatoes in the spring so that I can can some sauce. Oh, there isba lady there who also makes pomegranate jam. I purchased a bananas foster spread that i will using on french toast and ice cream. Love it here!

This farmers market is by far my favorite one in Fresno/Clovis so far! The vendors all have fresh fruit / veggies / bread and they are very friendly! I love that they are open twice a week- Wednesday evening and Saturday mornings! I tried the salted caramel cold brew drink yesterday from the Valparaiso coffee truck and was not a fan. Aesthetically the drink looked delicious but when I took a sip, it tasted like I was drinking 100% creamer. I ended up discarding it and driving to coffee bean. Pros: -parking -great vendors -great supply Cons: -not really a con but it'd be nice to see a change of vendors or a new one every now and then for some variety!

Of course I would come back, I actually love the variety of produce available. I just need to be more punctual and aware of the weather. I'd only remembered a few hot days and this was definitely one of them. Coming back for more

Always something special to come to the Vineyard early on a saturday. Its a bit oveewhelming with all the good produce on display but vendors are friendly and cordial. There is always some music playing and there is sometimes festivals or events like the Fungi Fest held just around the way. Easy to buy a sweet and coffee and look around the beautiful and colorful produce

Great! So happy to find this market while visiting my mom in Fresno. Everyone was super friendly. So much fresh produce, meats, pastries & fresh flowers.

LOVE this farmers market. The Vineyard is beautiful and makes for a nice outing on Saturday mornings (open 7a-noon) or Wednesday evenings (3p-6p). The stalls are helpful and friendly and the staff they have there are as well. Perfect place to go get seasonal fruits and veggies, as well as artisan chocolates, homemade jams, coffee beans, pastries and more (today there was a local butcher with beef in a refrigerated truck)! They do not allow dogs or reusable bags. I wish this was different but understand the reason behind the rules! Take your shopping list and head over for locally grown goodies and a nice friendly atmosphere.

This is my favorite farmers market in Fresno so far, and the main reason is Thao Farms has the BEST strawberries. Sweet, juicy, and fragrant like no one else's! You can smell how tasty they are! Come early, get your 3 baskets of strawberries, and enjoy the rest of your week filled with strawberry everything. The other vendors are great too, but during berry season, I don't care for anything else!

Great visit on a slightly rainy Saturday morning so it wasn't as crowded as usual. However the crowds are worth the great selection of veggies and fruits and fresh bread and mushrooms and cheeses and flowers and... they really pack in a lot of great things into this space. We bought some great romaine and two other types of lettuce, some delicious red onions and delightfully sized cucumbers.

Cute farmers market- not too big- but lots of great local vendors including a cheese shop. We got a feta goat cheese that was heavenly and some other fresh produce in the area

Great Farmer's Market! Safe! They had a nice worker who seemed like a security guard. There was a bunch of great tables with fruits and veggies to jellies and breads, pastries, etc. A wide assortment! Masks are required. Pretty low key and luckily the rooftop cover made it much cooler. Highly Recommended!

Okay this place is kinda hidden. Look for the huge vine-y looking place in a corner. It's so cute and small, which I appreciate. Everything I bought at this market was prime produce. The veggies tasted superb and they lasted so long! I have never had a carrot that lasted me this long before honestly. And the heirloom tomatoes were masterclass. Cashiers were also incredibly kind :)

Visited this afternoon's Vineyard farmers market during the last hour. There were only a few vendors and booths. It was sparsely populated. Customers trickled in during the overcast weather. Not much excitement today. Came to look for avocados and kale. Found good value on kale but no avocados. Produce were priced fairly high and selection of fruit was limited. Coming in the summer will probably be better.

I have enjoyed this farmers market over the years. But today I noticed something that bothered me. At the entrance there was a sign, I should say several signs. I actually can go to the doctor, the dentist and the hair salon without so many instructions/restrictions. Apparently to visit this market I need a list and should get my items and go! I am all about masks and immunizations. So those warnings are pertinent and necessary. But an outdoor market is full of sights, sounds and people. It makes me want to stroll, take my time and enjoy the morning. Not here! I saw an uncomfortable exchange between a women in coveralls and a couple. Not sure what happened but they made the bad decision to carry their morning coffee into the market. They were offended and am sure the women they encountered was too. It was unpleasant, then I saw the signs and my trip was kind of a downer. This lovely farmers market needs to lighten up.

I grew up going to this Farmers market, sometimes twice a week. I loved getting honey straws from the honey man, and trying all of the seasonal fruit the farmers had to sample. My folks always brought home the most delicious produce from here and it was a staple in my childhood. I was pleased to learn it still functions in much the same way with younger generations of farmers today. The best peaches and nectarines in town are still found here. The warm personalities of the farmers who come here to sell are also the same. I'm so happy to know this market is still going strong and I hope it stays that way for a very long time! The one star that is knocked down is just for the condition of the parking lot and area leading to the market - it could use some paving after all these years. Sometimes the potholes in the dirt/rock/gravel make me worry if we are going to bottom out or get a flat.

My favorite farmers market. Most, if not all, of these vendors are certified organic. They all offer fresh local produce at the best prices. There's also stands with fresh juices, flowers, meat, organic eggs and dairy products. My favorite stands are the lady at Sun Smiling Farm with an assortment of Japanese veggies and citrus. I am blessed when I get her juicy lemons 2 for $1.50. My next favorite

This my favorite weekly Farmers Market in Fresno County. It's open year round, with very reliable and friendly vendors. They always have great produce and a fair price. The grass fed beef is very good and bakery stands are terrific. it's fun to ask the vendor what they are buying and how they might use the food being sold there. Give this place a tray, you will like it.

Cute farmers market. It's a bit small and thus easy to navigate providing a quick in and out. We picked up some bak Choi ($2/bundle of 4) and gailan aka Chinese broccoli ($2/bundle) from one stand, and oyster mushrooms from another ($9.99/lb). Love that it's open year round. Having recently moved to Fresno, we hadn't yet found a good source of fresh and reasonably priced Asian vegetables so this pledge is a godsend.

Fun little venue in a unique setting. And a Taco Truck is icing on the cake. You can get some locally sourced products that you may not find elsewhere. Super laid back and relaxing, nice peeps and a simple pleasure at it's best. Come, buy, shop, relax, eat! -G

Perfect local market that open Saturdays. I loved it that was very local farmers there. Highly recommend.

I came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon at the end of December. There were about 8 vendors there, though I don't know the typical amount on a sunny day in the summer. I'm almost hesitant to give a shout out to Page River Bottom Farm because I know it'll just mean less for me, but this is just really great stuff that I've found at this vendor. They sell pastured eggs, with beautiful, delicious yellow yolks, supplementing their chicken feed with non-corn, non-soy, organic grains, while also allowing them to frolic in their fields. I think they limit a dozen eggs per customer since this product is so popular, so make sure to go early to swipe some when you're there! They also have pastured pork and chicken, and 100% grass-fed beef. I've never been so impressed with a vendor who was ready to share information on their animals. C. Jay seemed very particular about the way she treats her animals and what goes into their feed. I felt very comfortable putting my trust in her hands and supporting the farm with my purchase. The other vendors were decent. Again, only about 8 stands, so I can't really put in my voice on variety or general prices. But I love that Page River Bottom Farm tent.

This was our first visit to the farmers market. The vine covered arches were just beautiful to look at and shop under. It was buzzing with plenty of people but I felt like I didn't fit in because I didn't bring cash or a reusable bag. I will make sure to be ready next time. The vegetables looked fresh and I would have really liked to have tried the gluten free, sugar free, low carb cookie like bread that a very nice bearded vendor was selling. They were also selling organic honey, fresh squeezed orange juice, and figs. I do love figs. I will have to go back...

Excellent selection of fresh produce and even cooked items. I can always count on getting the freshest berries, squash, string beans, and orange juice at the vineyard! Buy local!

The most amazing farmers market I have been in California and a great representation of why I am so blessed and lucky to be calling Fresno home. This is a "must-visit" if you are in Fresno on the weekend and for locals if you haven't been (exclusively opened on Saturday 7am till noon and Wednesday at 3pm-6pm) . The beautiful arch with the vines of plants overhead is absolutely picturesque and only the beginning of the wonderful experience at this beautiful market. Parking is very easy to find and plentiful. I love coming here as early as possible. They open from 7am till noon on Saturdays and I am normally here around 7.30 or 8am. I would advise you bringing $20-$40 cash, its easier for transaction, I am sure the except card too, but cash is easier. As I walk under the beautiful arch, the produce you can find here is amazing. They have fresh vegetables such as broccoli, bak choy, spinach, squash, cauliflowers (different colors), real carrots, heirloom tomatoes, herbs, root vegetable and so much more. To top that further, you can also find fresh farm eggs, grass fed beef from the farmers themselves, fresh milk and cheese made locally. My favorite is the freshly squeezed orange juice with no added sugar and the hand picked strawberries and blueberries. The prices is really reasonable and sometimes can be cheaper than buying at big chain groceries. Prepared food and drinks are also visible here. I personally love case tamales, and would not fail getting my weekend treat here (chicken and beef tamales). Also good here is the home made greek food (humus, dolmas and etc) freshly made and sold at this market with reasonable prices. There is freshly brewed coffee here and pastries by La Bougerie, which makes this place perfect stop for breakfast. The pastries are absolutely delicious and highly recommended. The prices of the prepared food might be more expensive, but its worth it because its very high quality. Other items thats I love here is the hand woven baskets, and other crafts and arts. Finally one of my favorites are the potted plants for my herb garden. The plants are great quality and amazing in every way. Shopping here is a great way to get the amazing fresh produce found here in Fresno, at the same time supporting local businesses and the prices is very reasonable too.

Such an amazing venue!! So many options for fresh fruit and veg, as well as bread, eggs and even plant starts! Everyone is so nice and helpful, and the prices are great. All of the farmers have been vetted and certified. Also, you can exchange EBT/Calfresh for wood coins instead of going to the grocery store.

Best farmers market in town. HUGE selection of greens, vegetables, and fruits. Also the flowers they sell here are just beautiful. The smell if the coffee here in the mornings is also comforting. I do wish this farmers market had a bigger seating area and a bigger variety of breakfast even a band playing once in a great while. It would make it more enjoyable to just hang out there while sipping on some coffee and enjoying breakfast.

This is Fresno! The freshest, local produce from all over the valley being sold by the friendliest people! The setting is so cute as well! The coffee seller is wonderful, and I really recommend buying beans from them.

I go to this farmer's market every Saturday that I can, and it's always such a pleasant experience. It really makes me feel a part of the community. A decent selection of local produce, eggs, coffee, pastries, meat, jams, etc. Plus, walking under the vine-y canopy and seeing people come out and support their local community is really uplifting.

Best thing about this farmers market is the consistency. It runs every week, rain or shine... It is a bit of a drive, but whenever I make it out to this market on Saturday morning, I make sure to stock up on the awesome local fresh produce. For some reason, I always seem to find amazing squash (any kind), strawberries and green or wax beans at this location. Also--the gourmet coffee truck (don't know the name of the company) is heaven to walk by and just inhale the fragrance. My favorite flavor (hard to pick a favorite) is the decaf chocolate raspberry!

Very nice farmers market. Really nice atmosphere with the overhead vineyard. Also keeps things shaded and cool during the hot central valley summers. Lots of different stands but not too overwhelming. Always a nice crowd on hand as well. Produce pricing is competitively priced. I've been to the Old Town Clovis Farmers Market, and it seems prices here for produce is cheaper. This is a nice outing on the weekend mornings. It's clean and setup nicely. Very family friendly. Everyone is happy and in good spirits. They have other vendors too selling local stuff not just produce. Plenty of parking too.

This beautiful little farmer's market never disappoints you! The produce is unbelievably delicious and fresh. The sellers are so friendly and willing for you to try out something you are interested in. Not only do they have fruits and vegetables, but they also have honeys, breads & pastries, olive oils etc etc. We just love our Saturday morning routine of going to the farmers market. I'd recommend the fresh pressed grape juices! Open year-round. Wednesdays: 3 - 6 PM & Saturdays: 7am - Noon

Finally I made it here .It is good selection of fresh produce fresh baked bread coffee fruits veggies berries , Tried tamales had coffee happy full and relaxed Feels like France or Italy walking down the street trying fruits will bring family next time

This was one of the best things about Fresno! There was always a good selection of beautiful produce available there, twice a week, year-round. I never took it for granted, and I've missed it since I moved away.

I am limited in my ability to walk any long distances so this is my favorite farmer's market because it's nice and compact but still has a great variety of foods. Today I bought fresh goat cheese from a local farmer (Rocky Oaks Goat Creamery), berries, rice, local honey, stone tree fruit, flowers, corn, cucumbers, heirloom tomatoes and the best fresh squeezed orange juice anywhere. All of the vendors are amiable and most will let you taste the fruit before you buy. I love watching the produce change as the seasons change.

I've been to so many farmers market in CA during the pandemic and this one stood out to me as everyone is wearing their mask. Love the fresh smell of coffee and so many varieties of fruits and veggies

This market has not changed in 30 years. Vendors still charging too much for their goods and selection in minimal. Same thing every week and it never gets larger or offering more selections. You want to see a "Farmers" Market, go to Sacramento on Sundays under the WX Freeway. Fish, Shrimp, Oysters, Lamb, beef, poultry and a myriad of produce. Flowers, cheese and much more.

The taste of the produce was 3, the venue was 5 so overall a 4 star experience. I would go back with friend but I feel I may have gotten an off day especially when the produce tastes on par with grocery store

LOVE the farmer's market! Fresh veggies, friendly people, what more could you want? My favorite table is the mushroom people.. the oyster mushrooms are AWESOME!

I adore this market. It's very close to my home, so it's very convenient on a Saturday morning to hop on over and shop. I like to take my 3 year old daughter there, and have her pick out whatever she wants. It helps her to try new things and get her veggies, when she knows she was the one that picked out that item. You will find the BEST fresh squeezed orange juice there. When strawberry season comes in, the best strawberries can be found here, and you'll be able to smell them several stalls away. You need some chocolate? How about amazing chocolate made from the raw materials IN Fresno? There are bakeries, home made Mediterranean food, and amazing veggies. Brussels sprouts are hilarious on the stalk, but they are SO tasty. It's large enough that someone will have what you need, but small enough to where you don't have to fight for parking, or huge crowds. It's my favorite market in town, which is saying something since we have a few. They are open Wednesday and Saturday. Wednesday is only open until 6, so sometimes I can get there and sometimes I can't. Saturday is a bit more convenient. (And sometimes if you get there right before the end, you can get some deals since whatever you buy is one less thing they have to pack back up, but be careful because a lot of the things will be sold out.) Yum. I can't wait for next Saturday!

It's the real deal but I can't give it 5 stars because the prices just aren't cheap enough and I swear my wife's grandfather, who is not a farmer, has stuff that is just as good sometimes in his amateur backyard garden. I think his plums are better than anything I've seen at this market, actually, and I get bundles for free!! But alas, sometimes I am forced to purchase things. You can get quite a bit of stuff for $20 here though, and it's always fresh and delicious. I can be seen attempting to lug three of four bags full of stuff to my car and hoping the tomatoes don't rupture. I've had some amazing peaches here. They also have a nice yuppie outdoor cafe area with fresh bread and coffee beans (looks like the really fancy cafe corazon-type) for sale in bins and all kinds of yummy looking and -smelling expensive stuff. This sort of fills my upper-class exposure quotient for the week. The scene is kind of a welcome contrast to the usual ghetto fabulous Fresno ambiance but still gets on my nerves after a while. It seems just right at this market, friendly yet not overly pretentious, probably because it's hard to mess up fruit and vegetables. The ivy gazebo overhang is nice. Early mornings in the summer can get packed on really hot days.

One of the pleasures (among many) that I'll indulge in when I'm fabulously wealthy is to have someone come and squeeze fresh orange juice for me every morning. Store bought orange juice just doesn't compare! If you think otherwise, go get your brain checked for a tumor because something is seriously impairing your judgment. While I'm unfortunately not fabulously wealthy, I'm still able to enjoy fresh squeezed OJ thanks to Vineyard Farmers Market. One of the stands there (I wish I could remember their name!) serves up amazing OJ at reasonable prices. I got a pint, which is the medium size, for $5. Other prices were $3 and $7. A steal if you ask me! Aside from the OJ stand, Vineyard Farmers Market is home to many other vendors that offer a nice selection of produce, eggs, cheese, breads, pastries, meats, and there's even a tamale truck! I noticed one vendor did accept CC/debit but cash is the currency of choice. The actual market is located under a beautiful archway that provides ample shade. It's definitely instagram worthy if ya know what I mean. Market is held year round on Wednesdays from 3pm to 6pm and Saturdays from 7am to 12pm. Don't worry about parking because there's more than enough room! I'm definitely looking forward to enjoying more products from this Farmers Market. Too bad there's not a designated wine area to complement the name!

Not a certified Farmer's Market. Parking can be difficult, especially on Saturdays. Wednesday afternoons can be extremely hot in summer. Just not impressed with what I've seen.

My first time at this one - loved the archway that houses the vendors. Variety of organic options, seemed like more choices than the RiverPark farmers market I went to in the summer. (The Clovis farmers market obviously much, much larger and likely offers more.) There is this adorable couple selling mediterranean foods, I bought some of the meat and spinach stuffed rolls after trying some samples. The gentleman was so cute - while I was trying to buy 2 bags of these, he was trying to talk me out of it, as I could buy a "fresh" bag the following week. When I mentioned I was scheduled to work over the weekend, he asked if I could come by Wednesday. The lady (his wife?) tried to interrupt, but he says "I'm just trying to prevent her (me) from overbuying!". How thoughtful. (But I knew I wouldn't be back as soon as one week and I did want to restock my kitchen....) What interested me about this market (besides it being available on a beautiful *February* day, take that other cities), was that I noticed a variety of produce. I saw daikon radish (commonly used in japanese or korean foods), lemongrass (I have not been able to find this in grocery stores), and a sign for thai basil. Unfortunately the thai basil did not survive the recent frost, as the lady told me. Also had some very interesting looking mushrooms (oyster mushrooms, other names I can't remember); I bought the beech mushrooms to try. I saw potted salad greens, which I've never seen from a vendor before. I seriously contemplated getting some to grow my own salad spring mix, I will keep those in mind. I also got some fresh chicken eggs to try. (Had one today- very good!) And I got some brussel sprouts - who knew they grew in bunches on a stalk? :) The prices are higher than Foodmaxx, though lower than Savemart or Vons. I consider the price worth it to support local growers, and to have my own "farm to table" meals.
