We had a great date night at Decade, a restaurant in the Butchertown neighborhood that blends industrial style with a modern, artsy vibe. The exposed brick and artwork give it a chic, but not pretentious, atmosphere.
The menu is uniquely organized by plate size (small, medium, large) instead of traditional categories, which makes it easy and kind of fun to build a meal or share dishes. Some items had unfamiliar names, but our server was excellent; they were super friendly and knew the menu inside and out. It felt more like having a personal guide when they were able to explain things we didn’t know on the menu.
One of the dishes we shared (which I highly recommend) was the Ricotta Agnolotti, which was so rich and satisfying (and the jalapeños weren’t that spicy for my wife which was good), and the bread was so good we ordered a second helping to take home! I also appreciated the beer list, which had selections from local breweries like Atrium all the way to basic options like Miller lite, so there’s something for everyone.
If you’re looking for a stylish but down-to-earth spot for dinner or drinks, Decade is absolutely worth a visit!
