Best 12 Restaurants On (Or Close to) the Beach

"Right on the beachfront in Da Nang, this long-standing favorite (since 1991) pairs sweeping ocean views and a lively fish tank with simply prepared standouts like mantis shrimp and Hoi An mud crab; prices are reasonable, portions generous, the vibe unpretentious, and the breezy terrace is prime at sunset—advance booking via the website is wise." - Lanie Goodman

"The terrace with panoramic ocean views is one of the biggest draws of this beach-front restaurant. But the well-crafted seafood is more than equal to the setting. The live fish tank heralds a feast of fresh shellfish and fish, to be cooked in various ways. But the stellar attraction is definitely mantis shrimp, boasting firm, flavoursome flesh and rich, buttery roe. Mud crab from Hoi An is another exclusive speciality not found elsewhere in Da Nang." - Michelin Inspector

"High Prices, High Quality One of the more upmarket seafood eateries in Da Nang, My Hanh more than justifies its prices through the quality of its offerings. An extensive menu includes treats like grilled abalone, salt-steamed crab, and tamarind crab. The stirring location at My Khe beach is also worth the splurge."

I visited My Hanh Seafood today and it was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. The restaurant offers a wide variety of fresh Vietnamese seafood, and everything I tried was cooked with great flavor and balance. The ingredients felt fresh, the seasoning was authentic, and the taste truly reflects the local culinary style of Da Nang. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxing, with a nice view and a comfortable dining area that adds positively to the overall experience. The staff were polite, attentive, and quick to assist whenever needed. Service was smooth, and the food arrived on time without unnecessary delays. What I appreciated most was how well the dishes were prepared simple clean, and full of natural seafood taste without overpowering sauces. It’s a great place for anyone who wants to enjoy Vietnamese-style seafood in a clean and organized setting. Overall, My Hanh Seafood is worth visiting if you’re in Da Nang. Good food, good service, and a truly local seafood experience. I definitely recommend it and would be happy to come back again.

Great food! I've always believed that eating food was an experience and I got the best here in My Hanh. The food tastes great, it smells great, it looks great!! Bonus point for the excellent service of our wait staff, Huynh Tram 💕 Add also the scenic background of the sea waves crashing on the shore and the cool breeze of summer air. 10/10 would recommend!

I have zero complaints about the food, in fact, the fish was exceptional. Overall, the food was very good. The service, however, was so clumsy and unprofessional it crossed the line from bad into absurd. And strangely enough, that’s what made us start to enjoy it , it felt almost like unintentional comedy. Even the ordering process was a chore. The server kept repeating the price for the 1KG portion again and again, even after we had agreed. I’m not exaggerating, it took us about ten minutes just to place a simple order. And don’t get me started on dessert: when we asked what ice cream they had, instead of answering, they literally brought out convenience store ice creams, the kind on a stick, wrapped in plastic, for us to choose from. It was surreal. Napkins weren’t provided until we finally took them from another table ourselves. After awkwardly opening the champagne, instead of stepping back and letting us toast, the server hovered around, fussing and getting in the way. And to top it off, they forgot the ice bucket and simply left the bottle on a side table, which really summed up the whole experience. It wasn’t exactly a bad evening, the food carried it, and the absurdity of the service almost made it entertaining. But at a place this pricey, we definitely expected a much higher level of professionalism.

A delightful seaside restaurant offering exceptionally fresh seafood with a wonderful selection of live catches to choose from. The setting by the beach is serene and breezy, perfect for a relaxed evening meal. Dishes such as the garlic prawns, steamed clams, and Hong Kong-style fish were perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Service was courteous and efficient, and the ambience — enhanced by gentle lighting and ocean views — made for an unforgettable dining experience. A true gem along the Da Nang coastline.

Acceptable food, but personally will not return. Pretty good view and access to the beach and definitely clean interior. Staff were attentive and we were taken care of. Can’t say the food is with the price we paid for. We had grilled oysters, grilled scallops, grilled fish, vegetables and stir fried glass noodles with crabs, and couple of beers amongst the 5 of us and the bill came up to around 5 million dong. Considering the portions were small and we had to get additional food after. If you had to - stir fried glass noodles with crab and grilled fish were good.

The foods were really good. Super fresh fish and morning glory. The restaurant was bright and clean. We over ordered for 2 people. Our waitress, Tram was very helpful and attentive

Google
Honest review. They give you dessert jf you rate them on Google and TripAdvisor. Refer image. You would think the food of this place is good. But it’s like any other South East Asian country. 1. Service is terrible. Having difficulty just communicating. They are not happy with you checking for seasonal item pricing. 2. Food is sub-par. Scallops tasted mediocre, seafood abalone soup was tasteless, it was just average. Looking forward for to eat here but.. regretted it.

Birthday dinner on this beautiful evening. We could not have made a better choice. The seafood was perfection and the staff kind, helpful and smiling. Thank you Huynh Tram who helped us throughout the meal. The steamed fish was enormous and so tasty.. probably caught earlier in the evening! I could not recommend this restaurant enough. And, by the way, the view is second to none.
