The 16 Best Korean Barbecue Restaurants In Los Angeles, Ranked - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"This small Ktown restaurant is great for group dinners that call for controlled party vibes and K-Pop bangers. Nights at Dae Sung Ro feel like drinking beer in a cooler version of your friend's backyard shed (with glowing neon signs and the smell of barbecued fatty brisket rather than old fertilizer). The beef combo is a good deal for the amount of food you'll get, and includes a light soybean soup, wagyu brisket that melts like a snowflake, and sweet-marinated short ribs with the marbling of Italian granite. Plan on ordering the kimchi fried rice and cool, salty naengmyeon with young radish, both a la carte. They're ultimately what you'll be thinking about on the car ride home." - brant cox, sylvio martins, cathy park

Dae Sung Ro - Review - Koreatown - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Nights at Dae Sung Ro feel like drinking beer in a cooler version of your friend’s backyard shed (with glowing neon signs and the smell of barbecued fatty brisket rather than old fertilizer). If you’re coming to this small KBBQ spot in Koreatown with a group of three or more, get the beef combo. The set's banchan selection is pretty limited, but you'll likely be too distracted by hearty chadol doenjang and four cuts of meat—including sweet-marinated short ribs with the marbling of Italian granite—to mind. At $82, Dae Sung Ro's combo is a good deal for the amount of food you'll get. Round out your meal with a la carte sides like kimchi fried rice and cool, salty naengmyeon with young radish. That's what you'll ultimately be thinking about on the car ride home." - Sylvio Martins

Things I want to eat in LA

I visited for the first time and the meat was really delicious. The steamed egg and doenjang stew were also excellent. Parking was very difficult, and if you’re going with teens, it’s better to visit right when they open because the evening crowd is mostly people drinking. The place can get a bit loud, but it has a fun and lively atmosphere. Prices are mid-range (around $50 per meat order), and the side dishes and vegetables were very fresh. I’d definitely go back again.

This place has delicious ribs and pork rinds. The parking lot is small, so valet service is often impossible. It's a traditional Korean restaurant. It's fun to eat while watching a Dodgers game. The wait was long, 40 minutes.

Walked into this place while trying to find another Korean restaurant. When we I saw that it was filled with Koreans patrons I thought that it must be a good and it turned out to be correct. We managed to get the second last table and people were waiting in line after 10 minutes (locals too). The food came out really quick and it was really delicious. We went for set 2 for $87.99 and it was enough meat to feed the four of us. Their Kimchi was delicious and plentiful and the server cooked the meat to perfection. The only thing I will add is that you will smell like a bbq after eating here but that is similar to many Korean bbq restaurants.

Great food ! 1st time at one of these places. It was a nice experience. We enjoyed the BBQ grill in the center of our table. They had lots of alcholic drinks so ...if that's your thing you will especially like it. It was a little pricey.

Dae Sung Ro is a really great spot for authentic Korean BBQ and hotpot. The place feels clean and modern, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The BBQ meats were fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly at the table. We all loved the Sundubu and the corn cheese there. Everything felt authentic and well-prepared. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re craving real Korean BBQ. I’d definitely go back.

Popped into this place randomly on Sunday evening after my buddies 40th birthday. Very dark and moody and lively inside. The service was pretty great. We’ve never been there before we weren’t sure what to order, and the servers helped us with everything once we made a decision. We ordered a combo for three people, and I think we had pork belly and several beef options, the soup that we had was fantastic, it was just the perfect amount of food . We weren’t drinking so I think we might’ve missed out on some shots going down between the staff and the tables at the end of the night, but it was fun to watch everybody . Rarely in the side of town, this was a random decision to go here and I’m so glad we did .

Really tasty K-BBQ. Our new favorite place: just wish we lived closer. The servers were very attentive and the food was outstanding. Definitely reasonable prices. We are so glad we tried Dae Sung Ro for dinner!

Google
New sprawling kbbq place that is always busy which is a good thing. They have all of the favs like brisket, pork belly, finger rib meat. All the cuts are great quality. Expect to wait for a while if on a weekend night. Service gets slow if there are a lot of people. They will also help you cook your food but be expected to cook yourself.
