San Martino Ristorante

My friend and I took our kids to San Martino last night. They had live music which was a nice. We sat in the front room. The lasagna and chicken parm were good. The girls also enjoyed their stuffed shells and 3 loaves of bread! Mike was our server and was wonderful. Would for sure go back!

Really great old-school Italian spot. Super friendly staff, big portions, and they bring out hot bread right away which is always a good sign. We even got fried zucchini on the house, which was a nice surprise. Had a bottle of La Monica Montepulciano d’Abruzzo recommended by friendly waiter, and it went perfectly with the food smooth and easy to drink. Definitely recommend the $30 three-course meal. There’s a wide variety to choose from and you’ll always find something you like. They also have live music on Fridays and Saturdays, which makes the place feel fun and very neighborhood-Italian. Will 100% be back.

After the good bread and halfway decent tossed salad, it went downhill from there, starting with the plate of complimentary fried zucchini (nice!) that were 99% breading (not so nice). Then there was the main course of chicken sorrentino, with the usual four layers: eggplant (tasteless), mozzarella (meh), chicken breast (felt like an afterthought) and the prosciutto that instead of being crispy as the menu promised, was limp and thick. It looked and tasted like ham. I won't be returning.

This place has been a neighborhood gem for half a century with good reason. The prices are reasonable, and the food is always tasty and fresh with generous portions. I ordered veal parmigiana, and my husband had veal marsala. The meal was preceded by hot Italian bread and butter as well as fried zucchini with red sauce. This place is old-school Italian from its classical music to it scrumptious entrees. Al, the owner is efficient and never intrusive. Live music is brought in on weekends.

Nick was a fantastic server. He was very friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable of all the foods on the menu. I will be coming back. This restaurant has a very homely feel to it. Now the drinks, 🤌🏽.

The service was fabulous. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was perfect. Each time I go I am happier and happier. I tell all my friends how wonderful a dining experience it is going there.

Local Casual Italian Restaurant.Food is very reasonably priced, portion sizes are just right. A hidden gem in Yonkers right off Central Ave. One of the few Italian restaurants where you can get a slice of “Italian Cheesecake” for all of you other fans who know the difference. Veal Marsala was tender and not in that heavy brown sauce that most restaurants serve it in. The kitchen seems to avoid salt in their cooking which was fine with my party….we salted our meals to taste. Had a side of escarole with my veal, started with the chopped baked clams, and enjoyed the complimentary fried zucchini brought to the table.Staff was very friendly, service was excellent. A true family friendly restaurant.

A cute hidden gem serving the Yonkers community for now over 50 years. Thursdays there is karaoke perfect for my girlfriend's birthday plenty of parking so those who drove could get in now quickly those of us who knew we were having cocktails Uber and I'm glad we did because wow they packed a punch deliciously and deceptively easy to drink, and the food was delicious reasonably priced the staff was really kind really attentive and made my girlfriend feel extremely happy on her day and gave us a lot of options with specials in a huge menu we enjoyed ourselves. We had fun we made the party. We are so happy that we ended up there for a birthday and she had a wonderful time. I'd like to return one day for a non-birthday or even karaoke, even though I don't like to sing and enjoy ourselves again.

The best old school delicious Italian food. Been there many times over the years and was never disappointed. Especially love sitting in the atrium. Wonderful wait staff as well. Live music on weekends and terrific prices and food for catered events. A winner in every way!

Good old school Italian restaurant! Try to take my parents here for our weekly get together. AL is a class act! Start off with some fried calamari which is always on the spot. And fried zucchini, compliments on the house. The eggplant rollatini is my go to! Absolutely tremendous. Mom tends to roll with the muscles marinara which never disappoints. Rachel is always a sweetheart as well! Reasonable prices and top quality food!

I really enjoyed my night here and I wish this place had better reviews. First off, let's address a few things. The place is dated and the majority of the customers are regulars and are among the much older crowd. HOWEVER, the food is good and if you go on a weekend when there's live music, you'll see that they really know how to entertain. We ended up being here for hours. The food does take a little longer than usual but it's worth it. We ended up ordering appetizers, a main course and even dessert. We never order dessert but the experience was amazing. The music was fantastic and there was dancing. Everyone sang in their seats and the customers feel like family here. Like mentioned, this place has a group of regulars but even we felt at home. We had a great time, the food was delicious and best of all, we had some really great entertainment. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that they were out of gluten free pasta. They usually have it and next time I'll try again for it. Such a great time nonetheless.

I've been hearing such wonderful things about San Martino Ristorante. This is a local family owned business that's been around for almost 45 years. So I finally was able to visit with a family in Yonkers on a Saturday night. They usually have live bands on the weekends. Keep in mind they are extremely COVID friendly. Huge spaces that would definitely compliment small and large gatherings. Really lovely! We started off with red wine, calamari and mozzarella sticks. I felt as though if you ordered two appetizers for a party of four it's perfect. They served fresh and delicious bread that would leave you eating more than you want. Just remember to save room for your entree. I totally enjoyed their calamari. It was just chewy and tasty especially with a touch of lemon juice on it! Their sauce is fresh and homemade so it compliments the calamari. For entree, I ordered their chicken parmigiana with pasta. Wow! They really served large portions. I'm so in love with their chicken parmigiana. The chicken was well breaded and fully cooked and flavorful. The owner came out to say hello to us and his wife happened to be our waitress that night. They had a really cool band playing that night as well so it was nice to enjoy a meal with classy music. Good times!

Been there only 3 times, not by choice but private parties & group luncheons. It was cringe time I felt so bad that a huge surprise party of 60 people offered only ONE flustered waitress! A disaster, nothing went well. But that aside, the food was just a nightmare. Apparently the owner is more interested in Saturday's night customers with old entertainment. Our party was a SUNDAY, no effort at all put into this event except the family's decorations & socializing. Another visit was a lunch with 5 people, 12 to 130pm not ONE person in there & they had tacky paper decoration hanging all over from a previous party the day before our visit, we have photos Of it. Place is so outdated, still looks like 1950's. Maybe seniors would b ok with it but even they complained. Level that property with an excavator, especially the rest room. I'd hate to look into that kitchen, but Yonkers health inspectors probably eat there.

This spot is a hidden gem. They give you a really nice warm basket of bread that is really fluffy and crispy. On top of that they give you their famous zucchini frites on the house which are the amount the beast I have ever had. All the dishes I've had so far have been some of the best Italian food in the Westchester area. This is cozy place is a hidden gem with a fantastic staff that will make sure you have a great meal.

Food is delicious. I've eaten here many times for parties and dinners. Service is great, authentic Italian food with The Godfather sound track playing in the background.

The food is great and the restaurant is so beautiful! Their bread is so warm and soft on the inside, but crispy on the outside. Also their complimentary zucchini Frits are amazing! They have a nice big party room that is really nicely decorated for events. All the staff members are super friendly too!

Wonderful, inexpensive local Mamaroneck restaurant. Good food, plentiful quantities and delicious. Attentive wait staff too. Try it, you'll like it. Outside seating is plentiful.

Ordered three entrees for takeout the other night, and one of the side pasta with sauce had a faint smoky smell to it. It also affected the taste so this was not enjoyable. I can only venture to guess what caused the smoky smell, but my son tried it also, and agreed that it tasted bad. The food is usually good, so this was the first time I was disappointed.

no one in my party enjoyed their meal. Our food was undercooked (The scallops and flounder were raw ), the shrimp were rubbery) and the coffee was cold. The Only good items were soup and Complementary fried zucchini And the prices are much higher than those posted online. They need to update their website. they need to find a new chef!

This restaurant is a relic of typical Italian restaurants of years past. 20, 30, 40 years ago it may have been passable for the expectations of diners in the 80's and 90's. Fast forward to 2021 and it is old and sorely in need or updates- decor improvements- carpets, tables, chairs, etc. Menu updates- new and improved preparations. Staffing updates- the staff seems old and tired and listless and beaten down. My recent visit was a sad experience because Covid may have knocked this place for a loop financially and what is next for them? Mediocre food that I won't be back for as there are so many better options nearby. Find a buyer with some capital and vision and have them move this restaurant to today's standards- otherwise they will die a slow death. They need to find a new and innovative chef... Neighborhood Italian restaurants are needed and the demographics near them are strong.

Six of us had lunch here today and it was great! My wife and I have been here many times but it was a first for our son, daughter and son in law. Everyone loved their meal, which was no surprise. That's why we always come back for more, and always will!

Have been to this restaurant many times, and while not the best it was acceptable. However a group of seven of us had dinner on March 23 And were extremely dissppointed. The food and service was terrible. It was advertised that an appetizer of fried zucchini would be served. One small plate was presented for the seven of us. When we asked for more as this was not adequate. We were told they ran short! One person in our party got his food 26 minutes after the rest of us were served, and his wife order was incorrect. Our sides were brought to the table when we were finished with our entrees. In the case of two of our party the meat was tough. One diner had broiled fish combo and had to go to the ladies room to "spit out," a bad clam The wait service was very slow and often not complete.

I've been coming to San Martino's restaurant since the "70's"...my fathers favorite restaurant when he was alive. We've also had many a family function at this restaurant .The food is always excellent food and so is the service. It's like coming home every time I come back to visit Yonkers....... It's coming home to family

Probably my worst experience in a restaurant. It took the waitress 10 minutes to come over to ask if we wanted any drinks another 30 minutes with me having to find the owner to ask where out appetizers were and another 40 minutes for food to come out. The chicken parmesan was horrible. No flavor in the food at all and that includes the pasta. The highlight of dinner was getting th check so I could go home to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The excuse for the poor service was they had live music and were busy. I guess I will just orser pizza next time, if there is a next time!!

My family and I tried this restaurant for the first time this weekend. I wasn't sure what to expect as the Yelp reviews were extreme, people either loved or hated this place. As soon as you walk in you can tell that the patrons of this restaurant have been coming to this place for years. The venue is very vintage [70's], wood paneling on the walls, old decorations, very cozy, very Italian. The dining room is small and the outer dining area is cramped. We did not make reservations so we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. We were seated in the outer dining extension in the center of the room. We were served hot bread and butter as we waited to order. The service was slow and could have been better but the restaurant was also very crowded. We decided to try two appetizers, the whole baked clams and the pasta fagioli. To our surprise the pasta fagioli was the best we have ever had! The clams were also very tasty and well seasoned. The venue offers a variety of cocktails, wines, beer etc. we tried a White Russian which was unusually served in a martini glass but was still very good. The cocktails are around $8.00 each. For our dinner entrees we ordered the veal marsala and shrimp parmigiana. The diner prices are a bit costly, each meal was about $22.00. The portions are not too large and you get a side with it. We had a side of ziti and escarole both very good. For dessert the venue offers a variety of Italian classics, cheesecake, canolis, spumoni, tartufo, tiramisu etc. we ordered the Italian ricotta cheese cake and a shot of expresso served with lemon. The cheese cake was a little dry. Another nice addition that the restaurant offers is a live band on the weekends. The band members were dressed in black tuxedos, all older gentlemen, that covered some of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra's greatest hits. There is also an Elvis impersonator every other Friday Overall, the food was delicious and very traditional. However, the service was lacking a bit. We will definitely be trying this place again, especially to see Elvis!

nice atmosphere. Food was tasteless. I ordered the sea food combo. NO TASTE. The sauce was hot water. Literally and the soup was all salt. Unbearable. The baked clams are good however. Save the time, go elsewhere.

Today was a great day at San Martino!! Firstly, Thursday includes the two for one pastas. Great. We had complimentary fried zucchini which was excellent along with its marinara sauce. Plus, nice, warm italian bread with butter and they gave us olive oil for dipping as we requested. Had the Chicken & Broccoli pasta made with garlic and olive oil AND pasta with mushroom sauce. The waiter tried to tell me that this was not on the menu but I told him that after eating here for forty years and the cook making it for me, I knew it was on the menu. Needless to say that I got my pasta with mushroom sauce (red sauce with garlic and wine) and IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING, AMAZING DISH!!! Hubby's Chicken/broccoli with garlic and oil was PERFECTION. I had to ask who had cooked tonight and it was GINO. GINO, keep up that amazing cooking . Your food was 5 stars tonight. Thank you

My wife and I decided to eat at San Martino for the first time yesterday. Were we in for a special treat? First of all, we did not have to wait for a table. Secondly, the waitress was kind and attentive to our needs. However, the best part of our experience was the tasty food, which reminds me of the food I ate in Little Italy as a child. I highly recommend this hidden gem. We drove past this place for years and never knew it was there because the restaurant is located on top of the hill overlooking Cetra Park avenue. If you want to eat fresh, tasty Italian food, then try San Martino you will become a fan.

Let's start with the good which is why it gets the one star. The place is a little dated but still has a cozy feel. Also there was a live band and the vibe was a friendly, neighborhood, family restaurant with lots of regular customers. They did also offer free fried zucchini. Now for the negative. First was the wait for a table. Plenty of free space yet we stood around for about 15 min but hey not a big deal. That I attribute to the live band and there was zero social distancing In the room with the band. Fortunately my pregnant wife and I had the option to sit In a separate room where not too many people were sitting so we were able to social distance. The next negative was the wait for the food... it took one hour from when we ordered to receive our food. Nothing was complicated, I ordered fettuccini Alfredo with chicken and broccoli in it and my wife ordered spaghetti bolognese. Once the food came to the table I was a impressed with how my dish looked. Then I moved it with my fork and that's where it all went downhill. Alfredo is usually creamy. This looked like pure milk. None of the sauce would stick to the fork or any of the pasta. Then I tasted it and it was the most bland dish I have ever had. Not an ounce of any type of seasoning. It was boiled chicken and pasta in milk. I drowned it in salt and pepper and Parmesan cheese to try and salvage it which is how it looks in the pic I will include. But it was not edible. My wife's spaghetti was not bland but what a strange taste on the meat. Both dishes were embarrassing. I would be super embarrassed to serve something like that to my customers. I hope it was just an off day because I do not see how anyone can leave positive comments for this place if they have ever tasted Italian food ever. Needless to say we will not be back.

As most have stated it's an average Italian American restaurant with typical fare and little ambience but it's hearty and reasonable. If you are craving some Italian American food and have a coupon to buy one meal get the second free (up to $12) it's a good value. Considering the value and portions I'd rate it 3.5 stars. It's a reliable place. If you want atmosphere and better quality you'll pay for it. Try Ciao's in Eastchester or Mamma Assunta's in Tuckahoe and then tell me that San Martino's is pricey, PLEASE!

Lousy food, lousy service. We were there over two hours for a party of four, and it took 20 minutes for the waitress to make her first appearance at our table. Three of us ordered veal parm, they brought out chicken parm for two of the dinners and when we brought it to their attention, they stated it was veal. Then we got the check, and were charged for two chicken parm dinners. I was fit to be tied. The tomato sauce was over salted. To top it off, the cream for my after dinner coffee actually curdled, it was spoiled sour beyond belief. When I complained to the management all I got was a shrug. I don't know what was worse, the lousy service, or the shrug. Needless to say I do NOT recommend this "dive". Nor will I ever go back there. :(

This place is so accommodating and amazing! The service is spot on and the food is so good you will definitely want more and even if you can't finish it I highly recommend getting a dessert. They took care of us like we were family. The owners are amazing and the servers are just so cool. Highly recommend asking for the server named Dana when going she will take care of you and she is awesome! Will definitely be going back soon.

Food is not good. Service is even worst waiting for food and my server for a while. Had to asked another server to get my older waitress. It was busy but hired more if is a busy night. Food was not good.

Three of us went for lunch today. We were given complimentary fried zucchini as an appetizer. That was the best part of our meal. We all ordered the broiled seafood platter which consisted of scallops, shrimp and sole. Everyone's scallops were undercooked. We sent them back and they were still undercooked. After sending them back again, they were still undercooked. The shrimp were not edible. The sole was cooked unevenly. Part of it was almost raw as evidenced by it's color. Even though the owner came over, apologized, took the food back to the kitchen and offered us additional shrimp ,the food was inedible. The broccoli that we ordered was tasteless and the coffee was not hot. We told the owner that we were unhappy about the meal and asked him if he could do something with our bill. He said no because he gave us extra shrimp. As an aside, we were the only 3 people dining at the time and the prices on the menu were higher than the prices on the online menu. We certainly will not be returning to this restaurant .

They charge $3 for every soda! Even club soda- which is water with air in it! No refills, even for $3.... Come on there is ways to make money, not with ice filled glasses topped with soda. Food is good.

We use to frequent San Martino years ago and for some reason it went off our radar. Recently i went with friends and was pleasantly surprised! Teresa was our waitress and she was very attentive. The food was delicious! I had the chicken stuffed with spinach and prosciutto in a Marsala sauce! Yummy! My friend had veal pizziola and the other the broiled seafood. All generously portioned. We will be back!

Had dinner here tonight with friends and family.i felt like everything took way to long and our young waiter was slow and place was packed and limited service.dinners did not arrive all together 5 of us were eating and one guest took another 20 minutes to get his food. Food was not nicely prepared .won't return.

I was born and raised in Yonkers, NY, and believe me, there are no shortages of good Italian restaurants in Yonkers. If you're looking for Northern Italian cuisine, Yonkers is not the place. BUT Southern Italian is at its best! Growing up, I never knew that Italians ate pasta with anything else on it but red sauce. It was always delicious, with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese. Maybe sausage, maybe meatballs... even bracciole. I now live in Manhattan, and have eaten in so many Italian places, but you know, a quick ride to Yonkers, and you can eat for half the price, and just as good (if not better!). San Martino's is one of those places I never get tired of. It's not a fancy place, but there are cloth napkins, and table cloths. The staff, all family, are sweet and homey. You can eat, and spend time with your family, friends etc. and talk, nobody bothers you, especially if it's on a weekday. My family ate there after a funeral, and for some of my cousins, they were in shock that the food was so good. I highly recommend the Soft Shell Crab Francese (when they have it). It's so good, and the chef will also give your pasta side the Francese sauce. They also make lovely Veal Cutlet Parmigiana with Eggplant Parmigiana! The red sauce is full of flavor, not too salty, not sugary. There is so much on the menu, it would take you years to have all of it. I've never had their Pizza, but surely it's great. On some weekend nights they have entertainment with your meal. I went once, with a bunch of friends, and we laughed and sang, it was joyous. If you go, you may see an Elvis impersonator! There is a parking lot, in fact, there are two! Bathroom is not really accessible, but one of the women's room toilets has grab bars. But if you're wheelchair bound, it could be a bit difficult. Good thing is, there are no stairs to climb, anywhere. Tables are far enough apart so that you're not sitting on people's laps, or listening about their sister Katy's wedding. As I have stated, food is reasonably priced. There are buy one, get one pasta days, frequent ads in local newspapers for percentage discounts, and groupons. Hands down, one of my "go-to" places on this earth. Ciao, San Martino!

Last night my first time at San Martino. I waited almost an hour for my meal and then there was hair in my food . I told the waitress she felt bad and told the owner. He could care less he did not come over and apologize AND did NOT eat the bill. STAY AWAY FROM THERE. IT WAS FLITHY AND SMELLED OF SMOKE.

What in the devil is going on in Westchester County? This is what passes for an Italian restaurant? Disgusting. Hideous dining room from 1981, servers from the Rocky Horror Picture Show, food from a cafeteria in a hospital and aromas worse than those emanating from a diaper. Every time the front door opened the next customer was more grotesque than the one before him. I thought for sure I was in a bad dream.

The waitress was friendly and efficient. The entrees we ordered had generous portions and were delicious. My husband had zuppa di pesce, and I ordered veal parmigiana. We took home enough for a second meal. The luncheon came with hot Italian bread and butter followed by fried zucchini and marinara sauce. The prices were good. Be aware that there is a 10% surcharge for use of a credit card. We had a groupon, and a group of women at another table used restaurant.com coupons, so the credit card surcharge is understandable. The restaurant has been a neighborhood staple for 44 years because of its service and food. We will be back.

What a disappointment. We had our sons' baptism party at San Martino and it was a big let down. The glasses were so dirty our family members were cleaning them with their napkins. The food was sub-par- Tasteless cold antipasto and my chicken parmigiana barely had any mozzarella on it. When we told the manager about our issues he was unphased. The only positive thing was the service by the waiter and waitress. They were great!

Ordered from uber eats First of all Food came ice cold and I live down the street. Secondly, pizza with pepperoni and sausage I asked for it thin and well done It was undercooked and extremely thick. Sausage was raw.. Had a sausage parm wedge as well It was average

I've been to this place about 4 times before last night and usually its a solid 3 stars. Its been around forever and you can tell by the customers that they have a loyal following. Portions are big, their red sauce is good. I disagree with the Dennie's post below totally. Its a good red sauce. In the past however,r I remember the sea food not too fresh...and many of the dishes were just "ok". My wife and I were in the neighborhood and decided to go. we both had the Zuppe di Pesce and it was fabulous. Fish was VERY fresh and the portions were huge. I could have just caught them on a good night, but they earned themselves another visit.

I would give this place 3.5 stars - but you can't halve stars. I'll bump it up to 4 because of the skewed dismal ratings. This is a very typical mom and pops Italian place. Prices are a little bit on the high side considering the plate size. Service is great, I've been here quite a few times, but even when really busy, they've always been helpful. We've altered the menu items multiple times without any problem, and sometimes created dishes that were better than the original. That being said, I come back for the 2 for 1 pasta, every time. You just can't beat it. It's cash only, so beware. Also, it's only available on Sundays - Thursdays. The marinara sauce they have is good : it's light, not particularly spiced with too much, not particularly salty. It's actually what a decent marinara should be : plain. It's not very watery, will hold to the zucchini sticks you pour it on, and can be enhanced by a few shakes of the crushed red pepper shaker. Speaking of zucchini sticks, get them. Large flat thin slices vs "sticks" that you get at other places. They are delicious. The free bruschetta is also quite good, and their bread is a fine Italian bread, and ALWAYS WARM. I've never had their desserts, so - none of this review applies...

Came here with friends - to support a friends who was the entertainment - my first thought was it was old style Italian restaurant - sat at a long table with other persons I did not know - who apparently told us it took them 40 minutes to get a drink -restaurant was not overly crowded - so we went to the bar and got our drinks - not an overly stocked wine list - and not the friendliest bar tenders either. So back to table - they gave zucchini slices battered and fried - with a red dipping sauce - that i had to add salt and pepper to . The people across from us got their meal and it was lukewarm - and asked for ketchup and was told to wait - so by the time it came it was really cold. So I was totally concerned over my meal - chicken scarpiello - which they had described as sweet red peppers and I asked for it to be spicy - well I was greatly surprised - and it was delicious with potatoes - a friend got eggplant parm and as I knew - the sauce was the same as the dipping sauce - bland and spiceless - my other friend got a chicken dish that was ok. The funniest part of the evening is when we asked for milk for the coffee - and it came in a squirt bottle. Also there are signs everywhere about if you use a credit card they will charge a 3.99% really !! - Overall entertainment was fun - but in no way would I return on my own for the food.

I'm a native of "Yonkas". I have mixed reviews of this restaurant. Since I'm a highly visual person I'll start wth the decor. It's tacky. And when I mean tacky, I'm saying if your over 60, you're an Italian-American from these parts of Westchester and you don't like change and your losing your eyesight, then decor starts to matter less and less. Because it's what you know and it's comforting. Personally, it could do with a bit of a face lift. The plastic plants have to go the way of the dinosaurs. Into a fiery hell. The food. It's the type of food that sticks to basics of Italian cuisine. It's Old school Comfort food. Lotsa red sauce thrown at you from all different angles. And the dishes we have had so far have either been a huge miss or a hit and barely anything inbetween. We started out with the fried calamari - a staple at most Italian restaurants in this area - it was okay albeit a little too greasy for my taste. They could have done well to place them in some absorbent paper to cut the greasiness. Then they offered us a complimentary fried Zucchini basket that was filled to the brim. I like the vegetable zucchini like I like standing in line at the DMV. So I won't be able to comment on the taste. My partner seemed to enjoy the zucchini. Then she had the Lobster Ravioli in a Vodka sauce. We've been here twice in the last month and she had this dish for the second straight time. And it had bits of cured meat in it that we can see. And I'm going to say it was either pancetta - Italian bacon or American Bacon. There is plenty of Lobster meat inside that's delicious. This dish is HIGHLY recommended. It's pink, creamy and has a richly rewarding taste. Run don't walk to order this dish. Now I was torn between the Lobster ravioli and the Zuppa di Pesce Marinara. But since she was getting the Lobster Ravioli I figured she'd share a few pieces. I ordered the Zuppa d Pesce. Presentation was decent. The mussels tasted old and did not go down well. The clams were decent, the shrimp was okay, I found two lonely bay scallops that were not tasty, the little neck clams were good as well as the chopped clams. The rest of the plate was dominated by mostly calamari. The same calamari they fry allover the place in here. I was overall slightly disappointed with this meal. Now the service is great. They make the customer feel like they are not in a restaurant, instead more like being at home with your own family. And as an added bonus they usually have live entertainment on the weekends. Last night that had an elderly man singing oldies while an annoying drum machine kept tempo and another gentleman strummed the guitar. He sang favorites from Fank Sinatra to Otis Redding. There are many local die hard silver haired patrons who frequent this place. Sticking to their tried and true restaurant. And that has it's own charms. Again it's a hit or miss with the food here. So pick your food battles well. And don't forget to enjoy the "moist towelettes" at the end of your old fashioned meals here. Buon Appettito!

Food is excellent here, So are drinks. The decor is a bit old school but I find that places like this that have been in business for 50 years usually have great food. Service has always been good, I have never had an issue.

Love love love this place! There is something to be said about Italian food that feels like your Nana cooked in her own kitchen. It's warm, comforting food that reminds me of home. Most Italian restaurants are overpriced and serve the same generic good. San Martino's puts creative twists on the classics without charging an arm and a leg. My family loves going here especially during the holidays because the family environment makes us feel at home. The servers are sweet and I always leave with a satisfied, full belly. That's Italian cooking for you!

Lived in the neighborhood for pretty much my whole life and never tried this gem which I regret! The food is simply amazing! It was like eating a home cooked meal by my mother!

Girlfriend and I went here as it is one of her favorite places in Yonkers. Wine, Calamari, lasagna were great. Portions were on the small side though. Was shaping up to be a pretty great date night until a huge roach was crawling on wall next to our table. If you don't mind a little bug life alongside your food then by all means come here...I'll pass.

I try not to be a negative person... but if I could give this place zero stars I would. I am Italian and have been to several different amazing restaurants and not so great ones. This is by far one of the worst tasting italian food places I have ever been too. Let me start off with the decor. Very old, unappealing and boring. Nothing inviting and everything looks worn down. The place itself is small and cramped but that doesn't matter because theres hardly ever anyone inside. For such horrible food the prices are on the expensive side. My boyfriend and I started off with three appetizers. The mussels, calamari and garlic bread. The mussels tasted old and under-cooked. We were scared to eat them so we had a few and then stopped. The calamari was soggy and tasted frozen. We were disgusted. The garlic bread - where is the garlic? I was so upset but tried to hope for better when it came time for the entrees. From there it got worse... the food was awful and we couldn't even finish it because we started to feel sick. I don't know why this place has so many good reviews. The food is horrible and the chefs should be fired because for expensive prices I feel like I'm eating frozen food. Definitely avoid going there. So many better options in Yonkers or even the Bronx.
