We had a great experience here! The Thai tea was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is very kids-friendly. The dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented- we especially enjoyed the pineapple chicken and the tom kha soup. Overall, a wonderful place for a family meal.

This was our second visit. The waiter seated us super fast even though the restaurant was busy, which we really appreciated. Service was attentive the whole time, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. I love the seafood and chicken with curry! Consistently a great spot!

Absolutely delicious! Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The crying tiger was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned with a hint of spice — the dipping sauce on the side made it even better. The stir-fried eggplant with peppers and tofu was vibrant and well-balanced, not too oily and packed with fresh ingredients. The soup was comforting and flavorful, with just the right amount of chili oil to warm things up. The food came out hot and fresh, and the portion sizes were generous. Definitely one of the best spots for authentic, flavorful dishes — I’ll be coming back soon!

This place is super welcoming and inviting, from the music to the colors to the overall atmosphere! Our server Dui was very attentive and friendly and took care of us very well! And of course, the food was full of flavor and definitely come with an apatite, very filling, as they are sharing plates! Super worth the visit!

The food was good, service was excellent, the vibe and atmosphere was cozy. Though some food are just too spicy for me, there was also some confusion with my order on the dessert, but they immedietly changed it to what really wanted to order. The food was so good. I loved it. I’m definitely gonna come back here for my friend’s birthday. The place is so elegant, and they have unique designs in the restaurant a lot of gold decorative ornaments. Everyone said that it was so amazing that they’re definitely gonna come again. We had a good service. Everyone was so nice. Everything was fresh. The water is so good it’s not tapwater. it was a really peaceful time as well. Everybody’s calmly enjoying their food and just talking.

We recently arrived in Portland after a long train ride and were craving rice. We stumbled upon a charming and authentic Thai restaurant. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional. I ordered the mechiline star slow-braised short ribs with purple jasmine rice and roasted broccoli. The combination was simply genius; each element harmonized perfectly, creating a delectable and satisfying meal.

Enjoyed our food, even if the pad kee mow wasn't able to be spice level adjusted. Free Thai ice tea for a review was good, but I would have more enjoyed it without the shaved ice and just a glass of it. The service was great even though they were busy. Drinks and food did cost a lot more than they should. The food was good, drinks were okay, service was solid, prices were high. Good times overall though.

I've been to both locations of Farmhouse and both didn't disappoint! We've been multiple times and love it. We take anyone visiting here. This location is more homey feeling and has multiple rooms, the other location is more open space. They have great cocktails here. Our usual order looks like: - Hat Yai Fried Chicken - Volcano Noodles (SUPER SPICY) - Panang Short Rib - Lobster Pad Thai - Khao Soi - Crying Tiger - Duck Service is great! Can't go wrong with anything here.

This is our favorite Thai spot in PDX and we hit it up every time we visit from Seattle. Pros: -cute ambience -great cocktails (and non-spirited drinks) -authentic ingredients and flavors -not one bad thing on the menu Cons: -the Volcano Cup-O-Noodle looks incredible but I've been told by staff it's VERY spicy! I want to try it but literally everything I've had in our multiple visits has been excellent, so I haven't yet taken the risk

I've tried a couple of dishes over the years at Farmhouse and while some lean on the salty and not worth trying side, they have some dishes worth trying. They also have a kids menu which is a win in my book as a Mom. Staff is friendly, beautiful interior. Fave dishes: wagyu, steak salad, short rib and roasted duck. All well balanced dishes. Flavorful. And savory. We've also had their platter which is nice to share if you have the appetite for it but just know it's a lot of food. It's a nice way to sort of try all their dishes and then get particular with favorites!

It's hard to not have a great time at such a unique restaurant. It's a very instagramable place. They have creative drinks in fun cups. And the menu has a good variety without being to many options. The staff was polite and good at checking in with us. I got the volcano cup and so SPICY the beef was tender and great flavor. Only con was the steamed carrots to firm.

I don't think I've ever been so impressed just by walking into a restaurant. It's absolutely gorgeous inside. I sat at the bar just so I could admire the decor and take it all in. I ordered a Thai ice tea (which was fun and unique but a little confusing), mango sticky rice and crying tiger. They warn on the menu that things are spicy and they mean it. I loved my entree but I definitely needed the ice tea to help wash it down. This would be a great place for a group to share multiple dishes. Would definitely come back.

Ambiance is wonderful, but ... the food was disappointing. Everything was too sweet for my liking. My date was also dissatisfied unfortunately. Although the service was good, I would much rather prefer a satisfying meal for the price. I don't expect to return for food. Although, I may consider coming back to sit at the bar to enjoy the ambiance, or just to hang out it with friends and share a drink or two. Definitely not intrigued by the food. The sticky rice was hard ... which is part of the crying tiger meal priced at $30. The fried chicken that comes with curry and blue rice tasted kinda stale ... I'm not sure why it tasted like that. The shrimp appetizer was underwhelming, but the anchovies sitting underneath were interesting. Overall it was a 3.3 for me.

I've frequented Farmhouse Thai and tonight was no exception - great food, great drinks, great service, great aesthetic with good company. My family of 4 decided last minute to eat dinner so with no reservations we popped in and no line, no wait we were seated right away. We had the khao soy, spicy shrimp and hat yai chicken. All delicious bold with flavor - fair warning the shrimp is fire as in spicy hot so if that's not your jam, I wouldn't order. We got two desserts so left the evening with a sweat treat. Always will go back!

Thai Farmhouse is such a fun restaurant and has amazing customer service. I have been to the Pearl district location a few times now and every time has been a great experience. This location is decent size and has a huge bar, the decor is pretty cute and the seating is cozy. The drinks are a huge part of why this place is so popular, most come out in extravagant glasses and some even require you to put your card down as security for the cup. The food menu is also pretty extensive and offers a lot of premium Thai options, such as lobster Pad Thai and Wagyu. While it is on the pricey side, the food quality and overall atmosphere makes it worth it. This is a really good option for birthdays and special occasions, as they will have some sort of celebration for you such as music and singing or even a light show.

Service: 7/10 good. Nice people. Ambiance: 8/10 Colorful. Flower-power. Very good. Food: 7/10 prices are high. Definitely date night meal. I will be back because of the yellow curry. YELLOW CURRY: 9/10 unbelievable flavor. Best curry I've ever had. Semi-sweet. A must try. ROTI: 7/10 buttery & delicious add to the curry. FRIED CHICKEN: 5/10 crispy. Fried shallots paired well. Wanted more spices in the batter. Not bad but wouldn't get again, Pad Se Ew (idk how to spell): 6/10 tastes like a deconstructed lettuce wrap.

Amazing customer service, food is amazing. Drinks are just as great. Such amazing atmosphere, would def recommend to my friend and family while visiting Oregon. 10/10

Food and presentation was beautiful and tasted amazing. The portion size were huge, plenty to take home. The staff were very efficient and friendly, attentive and was easy to grab their attention. Definitely coming back again during my stay here in Portland!

I came here with my boyfriend for brunch and had a phenomenal time! Located in downtown, this Farmhouse Thai location is adorned with large windows that bring in lots of natural lighting into the establishment. They have cute decor and a large bar in the center that ties the whole place together. There's plenty of seating either at high bar seats, cushioned seats, or velvet/leather couches. I can imagine that this place would be an amazing for spot for a nice dinner with friends or a romantic date. Service was quick and very kind the whole time. My boyfriend and I ordered their special volcano noodles and a tofu/pineapple dish (kai sam ros; originally made with chicken, but made vegetarian with tofu). Both dishes were amazing. Although spicy, my boyfriend still loved the volcano noodles. They came out in a cup noodle and the presentation was amazing. There was also a reasonable portion of meat and noodles with the steamed vegetables! The kai sam ros also had great presentation and was delicious. The tofu was crispy and never got soggy and the veggies in it were fresh and delicious. The blue rice was really cool, delicious, and soft/fluffy. Their pancake and ice cream dessert was sweet but not overwhelming. I would love to come back to try more dishes for their dinner service!

My sister's favorite Thai place, and I can easily see why. This place has its own flair and the food is fantastic. I am not sure I can describe the ambiance. It is fun, Thai inspired (perhaps authentic, I cannot say) and full of surprises. You know how some Mexican restaurants have sombreros as decor? This place has mongkut filling that role. And, if you are like me and don't know that word, they are those pointy Thai headdresses. The music was fun, some spotify list with excellent covers of classic music - Depeche Mode, ABBA, Verve Pipe, and so on. Even the plates are fun - we literally traded plates to ensure everyone was happy. There was a hedgehog, a teapot cat, an owl, and so on, on the plates. Whimsical and just delightful. This was a birthday dinner, and we went all in - drinks, appetizers, meal, and dessert (for those with room for it!) I was pleased that the menu made it clear where the gluten was to be found. I was disappointed that most GF options were fish and seafood, since I like very little of that genre. In the end, I decided to just eat. The calamari was good, perhaps a little rubbery. The Mieng Kum Kung (zesty fried shrimp) was excellent, and the pumpkin fries were a surprising delight. I ordered a Thai Disco, which is a drink that comes in a literal disco ball and tastes a bit like the original 1944 Mai Tai. Lightly sweet, tropical, and just delightful. Another ordered a drink (not sure the name, had chili infused vodka) served in a copper peacock. A flippin' peacock! And it was lit from within! I got a curry with noodles, braised beef and pork belly and oh! It was tasty! Spicy enough to enjoy but not to overpower, served in a small cast iron cauldron and large enough to feed me twice. Easily. My husband got crab fried rice and did wish he hadn't upgraded to spicy. For him, it overpowered the other flavors. He enjoyed it, but would have preferred it regular. The presentation was always excellent. Served in a dutch oven, served in a carved out fresh pineapple, served in a flippin' peacock! They definitely put presentation on a par with flavor. Only two of us had room for deserts - I got the croissanti bread pudding and another got a chocolate cake. The staff had realized it was a birthday meal and came by with ice cream, a candle, and instruments and sang for us. All this and only 4 stars? Well, first, I really was disappointed that so little non-seafood was gluten free. And, it was a bit expensive. The drinks were $17-$18 each. The shrimp appetizer - which we loved! - was the same price and had only 3 shrimp. Funny, though, I didn't feel the entrees were too expensive - they were large portions as well as excellent, and that always helps. So, should you eat here? Yes! Everyone loved what they got, the drinks were good, the ambiance unique, the staff friendly. Be prepared for the price and enjoy yourself!

For restaurants that are all about an Instagram-worthy presentation, many are lacking in the food - in taste, quality, portion size, and more. On the other end of the spectrum, however, is a restaurant that has it all, including food that is both presented well and delicious. Farmhouse Kitchen Thai is one of the latter - as our server suggested, everything is good...and from what our group ordered, he was spot on. We got Thai Iced Tea for drinks, which was creamy and rich, and started our lunch with the Samosa appetizers. It came with three samosas, just the right amount for the three of us, and was one of the best samosas we'd ever had. They practically melted in your mouth, and the flaky, buttery outside was mouthwatering. For entrees, I got the Crying Tiger, which is a decadent seasoned beef dish with vegetables and sticky rice. Others got the Khao Soi with pork belly, cooked perfectly and full of typical Thai flavors, and the Hat Yai Fried Chicken. Neither of them were able to come close to finishing their meals. Our server was very attentive and knowledgable and made great suggestions overall. It's a cute, colorful space, and one I'd definitely return to - it looks like they have locations up and down the West Coast from Southern California to Oregon (sorry, Seattle, not yet). Highly, highly recommend Farmhouse Thai.

Outstanding food! Service was excellent. Got fried chicken and demolished it, the curry sauce was a star, but the chicken was fried wonderfully. My partner got the spicy seafood dish and even though it was super spicy, he couldn't stop eating it. My daughter got the pad see you with tofu and said it was nearly the best pad see you she's had.

The food, service & ambience was absolutely fantastic. Very much enjoyed the spread. My partner is celiac & they catered to her gluten free dishes with the upmost care. Thank you so much to the folks at farmhouse Thai in Pearl district for such a lovely dining experience!

What an amazing experience. We have had this place on our radar for quite some time. So we decided to give it a go for my wife's birthday. Drinks. Awesome. I got the Thai tea limeade. I have never had Thai tea with a citrus's application. It's always creamy. After trying this I don't know why more places don't do it like this. It's amazing. My wife got some fun thing with cotton candy and a flashing ice cube. How cool is that. After looking at the menu and doing some mathing. We opted for the super deluxe platter of everything. I highly recommend. The beef short rib had such great flavor and was so tender. Definitely a must have. Some of the best fried chicken ever. It did not keep very well though that's the only drawback. Loved the little beef lollipop appetizer. So bright and tender and flavorful. The pad Thai was ok. As was the fried rice. The fried rice kind of has this odd fishy taste I didn't care for. The eggplant was good but really really spicy. We ended up getting at least four meals out of the platter. Definitely recommend for a special occasion or just some fun drinks.

Great food, delicious drinks, fast service! Very friendly servers, busy but not too loud. I saw someone getting a cotton candy cocktail which I will absolutely try next time. Excellent all around!

We went here tonight because of Yelp Reviews and walking distance from our hotel. I am not a big Thai food fan but after tonight, I will be back! For the appetizer, we did the calamari and asked for Plum sauce. The spicy cilantro sauce was good too. For dinner I chose the Lobster Pad Thai. I also asked for the Chicken Soup. The lobster dish was very good with a sweet taste but the star of the show was my coworkers yellow curry chicken dish which we put over the Wagyu Beef fried rice. Wow! Next time I come, I am ordering that. Lolita, thank you!

I haven't had Thai food as good as here in a long time! Everything we ordered was fabulous! The drinks were fun. The food tasted as good as it was presented! The restaurant is also beautifully decorated with flowers. Definitely would come back here if I'm in Portland again.

Only good things to say about Farmhouse Kitchen! The location is in a great foodie district of Portland and the food here is superb! Try a sample of everything by getting the Lao plate, it gives you everything you want to try. We really enjoyed the Hatyai Chicken. Everything is very picturesque here you don't even want to touch the food. The wait staff was always attentive, ensured our tea was always hot and our water glasses full. Gave us a great explanation of the food and really felt like I wasn't eating at a Thai restaurant, but at a high end type place Pictures say everything, go out and enjoy this beautiful restaurant with all the opportunities to take a fun picture for your dinner and experience.

Went here in October to celebrate my wife and I's wedding anniversary. The food was so good and the portions plenty. Will definitely come back when we are in the area!

This is a great place for a date night, very nicely decorated and ambient. We were greeted right away and they checked on us every now and then. The food is authentic, especially the spicy ones. We love the crab friends rice, just perfect!

Very cute decor and I think it would be a good place for a drink with my besties. I was there for lunch and I was prepared for some strong flavored Thai food but it came a bit saltier than that.

We had a lovely lunch @The Farmhouse Kitchen in Pearl District Portland, OR. ---The service was top notch, food delicious and the deco in the restaurant was interesting and inviting. The servings are huge and unfortunately we couldn't finish our meals ( I hate to waste food). Also looks like a very popular place! It's a block from Powell's Books. ---Highly recommend!

This restaurant is beautiful! Such a soothing place to dine in :) This is the first Thai restaurant where curry does not come with rice. Checked the bag late and we had to use rice from home. Staffs were very nice! I ordered the Green curry with tofu; the spice was spot on and I liked how generous they were with the veggies. The Yellow curry with chicken was good with the medium spice! Lovee the samosas! The pastry was crispy and the fillings with the curry sauce made it that much more satisfying to eat. Definitely coming back to try other items on the menu!

Food was amazing especially if you get a chance to order their special platter if it's still there. Everything on the platter was delicious from the Pad Thai to the papaya salad and bone in beef rib and more. Satisfying to the stomach please do come hungry. Atmosphere was good with background music. Dui and Lolita were amazing very attentive and very friendly! Will definitely come back if we are back in Portland

The food was amazing wow! First time in Portland and my nephew recommended we go here for dinner. Super cute spot. Wait was short for a Saturday night. We got in and had drinks, apps, soup and our entrees. Every item was so flavorful! Presentation 10 stars! I will say that the QR Code menu was a bit busy and hard to read for me, I would still keep some old school menus around for the older crowd but I did manage to figure it out. Looking forward to checking it out again the next time I visit!

Wanted to love this place as we went with another couple. It was extremely expensive for what it was. I had the lobster pad Thai which may have been the most expensive and saltiest thing I ever ate. Our friends got a salmon dish that was good but left them hungry. Cute place but would not recommend as it is overpriced and not as tasty as it looked when it was served. Great service

We order take out here more often than I'd like to admit because the food is delicious! Hat yai chicken with roti, calamari appetizer, pad Thai with chicken, all fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend!

I went to this place because the pictures of the food and drinks look good plus they had good reviews. I went with my BFF that I hadn't seen in over a year so we were catching up and taking our time to order food. The server (lady) that took us to our table and took our drinks order was nice and patient. I don't know what happened to her that we got another server, this one a male, he kept coming back to check if we were ready to take our order. He wasn't being nice though, he was being pushy and inpatient, he kept making faces that you could clearly notice he was annoyed, I didn't think that was necessary. When I got my cocktail it was such a small drink that it was laughable, definitely not worth the price. Then we we received our food it was also disappointing, the pork noodle dish that my friend ordered was super tough, she said it was similar to beef jerky. My overpriced crab fried rice was alright, nothing to talk about, had about 4 pieces of shrimp and some crab. Needless to say, we're not returning to this restaurant.

This restaurant was beautiful! I've been to the Farmhouse in San Francisco and this one definitely measures up. We were a large group and the staff was very patient and accommodating which made our visit pleasant. The drinks were just as tasty as they were pretty. My favorite items were the papaya salad, samosas, pad Thai, ginger tea, & iced coconut drink! The fried chicken was plain and some of the alcoholic beverages were a bit on the very lite side. Great visit overall!
