FOOD
I've visited Dottie's a couple of times now, and it definitely hits the spot when you're craving a good, unique donut. The first time, I came in just after opening and was surprised how delicious the donuts were. I usually don't find vegan alternatives to be very appetizing, but these hit the spot. They were on par with Beiler's Donuts, fluffy, and not too sweet.
I ordered the cinnamon bun and the greased pole (matcha dipped vanilla iced donut). Both were delicious, with the greased pole with the perfect amount of sweetness and interior consistency. The cinnamon bun had caramelized at the base, which was absolutely scrumptious, though I will say the icing can be a bit much if you eat the whole thing in one sitting.
Since then, I've tried the Thai tea vanilla glazed donut and their popular Dunkaroos vanilla cream-filled donut. The Thai tea flavor wasn't really present for its titular flavor so I was disappointed there, but the Dunkaroos really hit the mark for what it was going for. It's a great specialty item to try once but it's not something I would seek to order again just since I'm not very drawn to the flavor.
SERVICE
The staff was friendly, and I have no complaints.
AMBIANCE
There's a couple seats inside the store, but it's more of a grab and go sort of place. If staying inside, it's a cozy spot to catch up with a friend.
PARKING
Paid street parking is available at a limited capacity.
