Family‑run since the 1990s and credited locally with popularizing rice‑paper wraps, this stalwart blends nostalgia with AYCE value. Frequently cited by OC critics and alumni alike as classic Irvine K‑BBQ, with brisket, short rib, and plenty of banchan.

This Korean BBQ spot was absolutely delicious! They offer a great variety of dishes, and everything we tried was full of flavor. The service was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even better. I have to mention their paper rice and radish kimchi, they were exceptionally good and really stood out. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to.

Some feedback to the manager or owner: Tonight, my wife and I decided to give your restaurant a try. We behaved respectfully, ordered courteously, and did nothing that would warrant the attitude we received from you. You served us for most of the evening, though a few of your employees helped toward the end of our meal. When you returned near the end, you demanded that we finish a portion of food and threatened to charge us for leftovers — after we had already paid our bill. When I pointed this out, you proceeded to scold the employee who had processed our payment, in front of us. For the record, his service far exceeded yours. He was polite, attentive, and professional. He did not deserve that treatment and is owed an apology. This was the first time we’ve ever been given a hard time for leaving a reasonable amount of food uneaten. Not every dish will appeal to every customer, and that’s simply part of the dining business. Your material costs are not the only thing that matter — customer goodwill is far more valuable. To be fair, the food, atmosphere, and pricing were all reasonable. But the service experience with you left a lasting impression. Before returning, we would have to decide whether we’re in the mood to risk another confrontational experience. Finally, one of your employees sprayed cleaning solution (likely Windex) near our table, which landed on my pregnant wife and possibly her food. We chose to overlook this in good faith—until your own behavior made the evening impossible to ignore.

Google
My family and I have been coming here for years. We love the food, but more importantly the staff. They are always so welcoming and quick to help. We especially enjoy when Rudy is our server, he is always ready with suggestions to try new meats and he is very attentive. We look forward to our next visit!

Google
Excellent! The wait time was short. Service was fast and friendly. Food was tasty. My son left something behind and they were kind enough to give me a call when they found it. We have been here multiple times and everything has always been good.

Google
I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel like I have to warn others about this place. The service was shockingly poor — the servers were rude, careless, and honestly not very clean. They advertise it as all-you-can-eat, but the reality is they bring food extremely slowly, give you tiny portions, and the quality is all over the place. It felt intentional, like they didn’t really want to serve what was promised. I’m sharing this because I don’t want others to waste their time and money the way I did. If you really enjoy Ayce Korean BBQ, please go to All That Barbecue instead. It’s a night-and-day difference in both food and service, at similar prices, and you’ll actually feel taken care of.

Google
This place was phenomenal! The food and service were beyond any of my expectations, and I definitely plan many more visits here. So let's walk step by step through this one, because it is definitely worthy of being highlighted. To start, this was a recommendation from several people that spoke about it in a way that made me say we have to take a trip here. They would speak about the food as if reliving the experience noting how each item was throughly enjoyed-- a proper foodie tell, so I rounded my kids up during their spring break and we made the 30 minute drive to this specific location even though there is another closer. We were told, Garden Grove location specifically will not disappoint and I tell you, they were right! So we find the parking lot, which was a touch confusing because we had to circle back around to a side road to access it. Once we found it, the entrance to be honest was a touch concerning because there was graffiti on the wall and it didn't necessarily look safe. Once 11:30 hit, we headed in as their first customers for the day and pleasantly surprised at this recently renovated interior area. It was clean, spacious, well lit, and music lightly playing in the background that made the environment inviting and relaxing. The waitress was exactly what we needed-- patient, helpful, and attentive. I had a lot of questions because this was an extensive menu and could easily be overwhelming. She guided me through all of the options for all you can eat, lunch only options, various meat options, and proper grilling times for each meat. Once we decided on the order, the table was dressed with all of the sides, two grills because I didn't want the pork and beef to mix since I am not a pork eater, and our beverages. The utensils were very clean and the silver goblets for water kept the water very cold, even without ice. Once the meat started arriving, we began the grilling process and let me say, it was an experience! The smell of the food was making our stomachs growl and we couldn't wait to give this food a shot. They have hefty portions, but none of it went to waste because we made sure not to eat before this feast. Literally everything was good! The rice, soup, marinated beef, beef belly, squid, pork marinated, pork belly, small intestines, pickled cucumbers, kimchi, seaweed, and dipping sauces. Again, I don't eat pork, but my kids couldn't get enough! The waitress was able to help for most of our visit because we were the only people there for a while since we arrived early. She made us feel so welcomed and was happy to help us have a good experience. I appreciated her demeanor and guidance through the process because it did make all of the difference. At the end of the visit, make sure you don't walk out the door without getting their blueberry ice cream. It was the perfect sized sweet treat to end this feast! I was so full after this meal, I literally could not eat dinner because I was full into the evening hours. I never overeat, but I couldn't help myself at this place because it was truly that good. Every bite I relished and completely understood after leaving why the personal recommendations we received were so high. Not one issue here. The exterior of the restaurant could use some work, but man oh man, this humble restaurant on the side of the road blew our minds!!

Google
Place recommended by a friend and I’m glad we tried it. This is such good Korean barbecue and would love to go in person for the all you can eat. The menu to go is only in the Grubhub app and not on the website - in case anyone is confused like I was when looking to place my order for pick up 😅

Google
Traditional Korean BBQ. The price is fair. Service is great. The quality of meat is great. My family and my friends' family have had a good time. Thanks Shik Do Rak for opening during Thanksgiving and not adding minimum expenses. The sides are not as many as other Korean BBQ. Maybe it is because the holiday. I can see that they are out of servers. Overall, it is a good place for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
I haven't been here in years, and I'm so glad my friends and I decided to come for dinner! The staff were all super nice and attentive. They made sure our banchans were always refilled, which I really appreciated. My go-to items at any AYCE KBBQ spot are the beef belly, thinly sliced pork belly, and beef brisket, all of which were delicious here. My friend enjoyed the flat iron steak, though it wasn't really my favorite. I also tried their spicy tofu soup, which had a nice kick and great flavor. Overall, it was a solid dining experience, and I'm happy we came back.

Yelp
Compared to other flashy KBBQ places in Irvine, Shik Do Rak is a homely, old fashioned restaurant with great service and a wide selection of meats to choose from. The staff was very kind and attentive to our table of 7, stopping by often to refill sides, change the grill, and take our meat orders. We ordered from the 3-2 menu at $34/person. This was my go-to spot for a good while; it was always busy and a fun time! However, I feel like this place is a bit run down now. The quality has diminished over the years - the fish cakes and cucumbers were a bit mushy, the rice paper was tough, and the pork belly came out looking a little grey :/ The brisket and the sauces were good though, and the free frozen yogurt at the end of the meal was a plus. It's a bit sad to see, but it goes to prove that quality is more important than quantity when it comes to KBBQ. It's a shame that there aren't many good local AYCE spots anymore.

Yelp
Our favorite Korean barbecue restaurant in South Orange County that is all you can eat. They have a late night special that starts at 10 PM and is so worth it. The ambience here is mediocre you're looking at a mom and pop restaurant so nothing fancy. The buzzer buttons don't really work and it's super old-school the menus and everything are pretty out of date but the meat quality here is awesome and it is a great value. Service is incredible and the Bonchon here always hits. The fried rice is delicious and we always love the kimchi soup and steamed egg. There are so many different meat options. You really cannot go wrong. Everything hits. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Yelp
Shik Do Rak, is located in the plaza off the corner of Jeffrey and Walnut Avenue in Irvine. They're to the edge of the lot directly in front of 7 Leaves Cafe. Parking at this plaza can get quite full. Additional parking is available off to the side and behind the restaurant. Shik Do Rak, can get packed so we try to show up before the rush or put our names down on their Yelp waitlist through our apps. Even with the waitlist, you can still sometimes wait longer than what it may say as they also take walk-ins. We've been to a few Korean BBQ joints but we always come back to Shik Do Rak. They're not a fancy place at all compared to some other restaurants and the table tops need to be redone, but we know the staff here and it's like home. Plus, I really like the banchan that they offer. They're always happy to see us and will come by and talk to our group in between serving other customers. They've literally seen the kids grow up and even come in as new babies. They have many different servers and bus boys, all of whom are always polite, welcoming and attentive. You'll never get the "I'm not your server" here. Our party is usually mostly kids and just a couple adults so we always go with the 3-2 order which has 30 items on the menu for $33.99. It's got good cuts of meat without being overly expensive. Everyone eating AYCE BBQ has to order from the same menu. There the 3-3 menu for $25.99 with 16 items, but this is only available M-F from 11:30am - 3:00 pm, M-Su 10pm - close excluding holidays. I literally have to take the day off or get off work early to make it for the cheaper menu. Kids from ages 5-9 years old are half price. What we order; 1) Prime brisket 2) Short rib 3) Pork neck toro - this is my favorite 4) Beef belly - another fave 5) Squid 6) Marinated pork belly 7) Garlic pork belly 8) Fresh pork belly 9) Bulgogi 10) Thinly sliced pork belly - another fave 11) Steamed egg bowl - our party of six, once finished 11 of these at dinner. 12) Soybean paste stew - I like this but fyi. It's a strong flavor What we've had but weren't a fan of from the 3-2 menu; 1) small intestines - I actually eat intestine BUT I am super picky about it and I want the pieces REALLY cleaned out or I won't eat it. These had a bit of extra taste to it that I couldn't tolerate. 2) large intestines - same see above 3) Little octopus - we tried it but I couldn't enjoy this after seeing it wriggling on the grill from the heat. It wasn't alive or anything, but that sure messed with my head. It's not marinated so unless you dip it into something, there's no flavor whatsoever. I personally prefer the squid. Overall, for the customer service, food and value, we love Shik Do Rak. It's become a place we rotate with our other favorite places to go. We have been coming here for many years. A few friendly familiar faces that work there just make it all so much better. Guaranteed that my family leaves here with a smile every time.

Yelp
Wanted to post here again, they are so amazing! Watching them take on two large 20+ parties and still make sure we're taken of. Food here is always amazing. Love these guys.
google avatar

Mariness D.

Yelp
Haven't been here for years since I no longer work in the area. But even after 10+ years, this place is just as good as I remember. The service was amazing, and our server proactively made sure we had all the sides and meats we wanted. She changed our grilling plate multiple times, and was very attentive. She also offered half orders since we wanted to taste several types of meats. And their free yogurt was a great way to end our dinner.
google avatar

Chris O.

Yelp
Victor and Peter always giving us the golden glove treatment. Always making us feel special and welcome here at the Irvine location. The food is always spot on!! Especially during happy hour and a long day's work. And Ronnie always doing a wonderful job keeping the place clean.
google avatar

Mitchell Y.

Yelp
Says open till midnight, called ahead ti make sure. Once I pulled up at ten, where it was discounted, they locked the door and change the sign to closed. They saw me and changed it. So yeah I wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
Our favorite kbbq place is Shik Do Rak in Garden Grove. We wanted kbbq, but didn't want to drive all the way to Garden Grove, so we decided to try the one in Irvine. This location is a bit smaller than the Garden Grove one I believe. The service here is definitely quicker and attentive. The food is pretty much the same. The meats and banchan are tasty! They also give out the free yogurt soft serve at this location too! We would definitely come back to get our kbbq fix!
google avatar

Annie Y.

Yelp
There are plenty of parking spaces. The wait here wasn't as bad compared to other K-BBQ places. You can wait list via Yelp. It is AYCE (all-you-can-eat) with selection of premium choices or standard choices. For dinner, it was around $33.00 a person for standard prices. The meats were good, but the grill sucks. The grill is smaller compared to other places and the oil sizzles and splashes everywhere when it's cooking. They have 3 sauces: teriyaki sauce, hot sauce, and salt/oil. After dinner, you can go to the front and they have blueberry fro-yo for dessert. Service: 5/5 Tip(s): - Restrooms available - Plenty of parking spaces - Waitlist via Yelp
google avatar

Tiffany C.

Yelp
We've been coming here for decades. All the servers have seen my kids grow up, and they are all so friendly. It's always bustling here with a lot of people talking and enjoying their meals that they cook on their own tables. Although they have AYCE options, we always get the combos because we don't want to stuff ourselves too much...but we still do...because there's a lot of food and there's unlimited side refills!
google avatar

Marc M.

Yelp
I found this place online, and decided to stop by for lunch - I checked out the website/menu to make sure it was AYCE. I saw the 3-1 AYCE choices and was sold! However once I got there I was told AYCE is only for parties of 2 or more and if I wanted to order ala carte, I can only order the $79 package, not individual meats ...which the selection I was told wasn't what I wanted. TLDR; No AYCE or its $80 Food Package for solo diners

Yelp
Shik Do Rak has been our family's go-to KBBQ spot in Irvine for over 10 years, and it never disappoints. There's something super nostalgic and homey about this place, it's not fancy or hip, but it hits the spot for us every single time!!! The quality of the meat is consistently great, and we always appreciate the generous banchan dishes that come with every meal (with free refills, of course). The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and service is efficient even when it gets busy. It's the kind of place where you feel comfortable bringing the whole family, catching up over grilled meats/veggies, and leaving full and happy. And the free yogurt at the end? Such a nice and yummy treat to wrap up a great meal! Shik Do Rak will always have a special place in our hearts (and stomachs)!
google avatar

Antonio G.

Yelp
Food was amazing as always. And thanks to our server, Adriana, our time here was even better!! She was so sweet and funny and attentive. We loved having her. Super efficient and professional while still being so easy to talk to. Made the ambiance so much better and cozier. We'll definitely hope to be sat in her section again.

Yelp
Time to load up on protein. Even though it is hot today in OC I was still craving some tasty KBBQ. I like how they have a waitlist that you can join so you get a sense of how long the wait is. Good service very attentive. Good place for groups of people as well as single diners like me today. The meats I tried were the marinated short rib, pork belly, prime brisket, and kalbi. Parking is tricky. Not much spaces and it's located in the same plaza as China Garden so it can be difficult during lunch time. You can grab desserts next door or boba as well since it is in the same plaza. Indoor decor isn't as large as other BBQ joints and not as nice. Very plain.
google avatar

Tiffani L.

Yelp
This location is smaller than the Garden Grove location. Service is fast and quick. They usually get pretty busy here and the parking lot is a little cramped. It's AYCE and the prices are great. Flavor wise, I feel like it's lacking a little bit of flavor with the sauces compared to the Garden Grove location.

Carolina E.

Yelp
The food and service was absolutely amazing. I come here often for their all you can eat special and it's so great, the servers always keep our sides full, and they are super friendly plus there's always a nice froyo treat at the end of the night. Sharon and Peter are the best!!!!!
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
For the price of $35pp, this place does the job! The meats are good/delicious enough to fulfill your kbbq cravings. They have a variety of banchans and other side dishes to order from and the perfect amount too. The service is really great too. Good for large groups and smaller groups too. I've came here 3 times now, and all 3 times they're quick with serving us, bringing out food, and not forgetting orders. The most recent time, the gentlemen periodically checked up on us, got our order correct. We were very happy with our choice for dinner that night! They also have soft serve now too! But the place is a little run down and floors are sticky, so beware!
google avatar

Taiyee V.

Yelp
Literally, such a great value for a KBBQ! The ahjumma's there are quick and work so hard! Their spicy sauce is amazing and cuts thru fatty meats. It feels like a hole-in-the-wall type place. Also their frozen yogurt is soo good too!
google avatar

Andrew T.

Yelp
Went back here for our KBBQ and again as always it did not disappoint! Friendly staff who are very attentive to making sure we can order more meat if desired and the meat options are plentiful!

Chan L.

Yelp
Unsure why the bad ratings. We went last night. Great food, impeccable service and reasonably priced. Meat was same quality as anywhere else tbh. Definitely beats driving to GG

Jemi A.

Yelp
Shik Do Rak is our one of our favorite AYCE KBBQ places that my hubs and I frequent quite regularly. We come here for the AYCE BRISKET and BEEF BELLY, and end our gorge fest with a slice of the THICK PORK BELLY that we fry up like bacon and enjoy with an order of their soy bean soup. Yum. This is a CASUAL, NO NONSENSE place to get your fill on EXCELLENT brisket and beef belly. This, we have discovered, is the perfect combination. I am picky about my brisket and can't stand it when it is too tough or chewy. Shik Do Rak gets it right every time, and we come here about once a month. We always ask for the steamed egg and sliced jalapeño peppers with red pepper paste, as well as the red chili dipping sauce, and more salt and sesame oil. We also ask for more radish and rice wraps. They are VERY GENEROUS with these requests and is yet another reason why we love Shik Do Rak. Tip: Don't expect a five-star experience here. The restaurant is a grease pit with warped tables and grills. It could probably use a complete re-modeling, but that would mean they would have to shut down the place to re-do it, which would be a hassle, and which would mean I couldn't come here to enjoy my KBBQ in sweats and a t-shirt. It's tried and true and we are regulars. We hope they don't change a single thing.

Annika N.

Yelp
If your server is Sharon, you are set! Sharon was so amazing! The food was so very yummy. And we shared lots of laughs with Sharon.

TJ N.

Yelp
sharon is the goat best server ever if you ever have sharon shes so very carin. peter was also here and he was also very nice 100% keep this runninggggg

Anthony N.

Yelp
Best place to get kbbq in oc. Really good service and the quality of the meat is always on point

Avery E.

Yelp
Woomi was a great server!!! Best experience ever. Sharon is amazing and Peter is a very very fun worker! Dinner was so very good

Yelp
One of the classics of Irvine that still shows that it can beat some of the other All your can eat kbbq places. I have a warm spot for this place. It still has 1 of the ladies that had served me like over 10 years ago. It no longer serves the ice cream dessert but it chilli and brisket sauce is still awesome. Even when it was packed the day before Christmas Eve they manage to still keep up service. They had the right amount of attention in that they made sure we never were out of meat nor did they come too often to interrupt conversation. Warning do not come to this place wearing your best clothes because it guaranteed that you will leave the restaurant with a scent of grilled meat . The brisket and beef tongue wasn't too thick. And the grill can get hot pretty quickly that you can get a good sear. Remember to add yourself to Yelp waitlist. Thank you Kevin for being an awesome server and to the crew for reminding why SHIK Do Rak is special.
google avatar

Christine N.

Yelp
This place is my go to late night Korean barbecue spot because after 10 PM, they have the happy hour menu for AYCE $25.99. I only eat brisket, beef belly, pork belly so this menu is perfect for us. They got everything I need, all the banchan, especially the pickle radish wrap! (Also ask for the garlic oil) Compared to other kbbq restaurants, I would describe this place to be simple, traditional, no frills. I'm always leaving here satisfied and happy, especially for the value. Make sure you call ahead and you can check wait time and when is last call! Service is consistently great every time. Everyone is so kind and efficient. I always have Sharon as my server. She's the cutest and makes me feel very welcomed and attended to. Their manager Peter is always friendly as well.
google avatar

Meredith L.

Yelp
Fantastic kbbq with many all-you-can-eat options. Keep in mind there is a fee for uneaten meat at the end, as mentioned on the menu (to prevent you ordering too much and wasting meat). Staff is very friendly and helps you out if you struggle with the cooking, comes around often to ask if you'd like to order more. Clean interior, great place to go with friends for a night out. Complimentary froyo at the end!
google avatar

Megan T.

Yelp
I think this is one of the best kbbq places I've been to for their price point. The side dishes especially the rice paper wrappers and salt oil sauce were great, and even though they were small the staff came by routinely to refill. The staff occasionally comes by to help you with some cooking and the meat is very well sliced for the type of cut it is.
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
I've always thought Shik Do Rak has been underrated and not talked about enough when people talk about the best kbbq in the area. Wait is not insane like Mr BBQ or some other places in the county. The parking can get annoying sometimes as there is a lot of good restaurants in the shopping plaza but usually you'll get a spot especially with the parking spots behind the restaurant. Quality of meat is what is great about Shik Do Rak as it seems like the brisket and sliced meat are always on par. I'm not a big fan of the steak cuts so won't say much on those. Side dishes are all great, all of your typical sides are included. Service stands out. Every server I've ever had were fantastic and very attentive. They all work super hard and really seem on top of everything from changing grills, refilling drinks and asking if you want additional more meat and sides. Pro tip: they got happy hour after 10pm that gives you a great deal of you're ok eating late.
google avatar

Tanya S.

Yelp
Straightforward and good! Nothing fancy but service is prompt and meats generally good. Yelp reservation helps when you are planning to go during peak meal times. Nice refreshing frozen yogurt at the end. Small serving but just enough to clean your palate! It's our go to for Korean bbq!

Brandon D.

Yelp
Peter is the best. The food is amazing and service is always on top. Good priced and it's like $8 off past 10. Froyo is A+

Pareng T.

Yelp
Food is really good and the servers are pretty much on top of everything. They're very attentive and fast. This is our go-to kbbq place whenever we want Korean. Their meats are good and their sides are the best. We have tried other kbbq places. This place is our favorite. It gets quite busy, but not noisy or crazy. We always love going to Shik.
google avatar

Edward C.

Yelp
I've been coming to Shik Do Rak for years for their prime combos. I usually order the SDR Combination for 2. It is currently $79.99, and it feeds my family of 4, and we often still have leftovers to bring home. For me, I'd rather enjoy the higher quality meat, rather than stuffing ourselves with AYCE options. I forgot to take pictures of everything when it first came out, but it is a good amount of food, and looks very nicely set up on the platters. They also have lots of delicious side dishes and are refilled as many times as you wish. For those of you that can eat a lot, they offer 3 different priced AYCE options which provide a lot of choices. We always see people sitting near us order it and eat a ton! The servers are friendly and we see them continuously bring more food.
google avatar

Joseph C.

Yelp
Decent KBBQ place with premium meat options. AYCE pricing so make sure you come hungry. Gets busy so get there early. I actually prefer the Garden Grove location but this is closer for people in Irvine or further south.
google avatar

Dave L.

Yelp
Shik Do Rak is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Irvine that is an All You Can Eat BBQ on a special kind of grill. This place produces the best smells and odors around. You are given three choices as far as AYCE. Each level gives you more. We chose the middle level. There are no directions, so learn on the fly. Pick one person to be the cook and sits next to the gas valve and regulate the amount of heat. We started with the veggies. Saute in oil and salt. Add the meat. The food is amazing. The meat is high quality. The upper levels of price offer shrimp and fish options. We had trouble communicating with our host. We asked for dessert, and she said no. We asked for drinks, and she pointed to the menu. Our service was not so good. We had to ask for everything. The best thing is their sesame oil and spices combo on their grill. The food is amazing. Overall, a great night.

Senuri P.

Yelp
My favorite KBBQ place, first place I've gone too and I've tried so many others since. This one has my heart, the kind and attentive service of the staff is exceptional, especially ****Peter and In Lan****.Two people we LOVE to see everytime we go, we share stories, and they always make the time to check in with us. It honestly feels like an extension of home because of this. The food is always a hit and I love the side dish offerings here of all the Kbbq places I've been too. Ambiance is fun, busy, and just what youd expect from a KBBQ spot everyone loves.
google avatar

Grace K.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night, and as expected on a Friday night it was fairly busy. Went to inquire about the wait time, I was told 30-40 minutes. Not a problem, typical of a Friday dinner wait. But tell me why, the waiter then says, "if you order the premium AYCE we can seat you right away" I'm sorry, when did getting a table at a restaurant become a bidding war? I felt immediately offended, it was extremely off putting, and the nerve of this location to do that given the only reason we opted here was because we were in the area and not wanting to drive to our regular Garden Grove location. Needless to say, I did not wait to be seated, nor did I bargain my way in with premium AYCE. Has anyone else encountered this at the Irvine location!? Because I'm genuinely curious.
google avatar

Thomas N.

Yelp
If you are craving kbbq late night this is the place to go. It's cheaper than other places and open quite late. Their isn't much selection of meats to choose from and the quality isn't as good compared to most other places, but they get the job done. I come here often with my friends cause it's cheaper, and open late, and we always have a good time. Sometimes the servers even help us cook the meats.

Yelp
Well let me just say this just because service is quick doesn't mean it's efficient...first time ever I've been asked to reuse the side plates but it's the delivery of the message that set the one for our experience rude and direct. The rice paper was hard, and you have to ask for salad, siracha, black sauce ....oh and specifically ask for refills of water or they won't take a hint and refill it. One server for all tables plus bus boy. Female Owner I assume was present but only to tell my toddlers to sit down? Um no they were seated long enough this isn't an airplane. Place overall is worn down, meats are okay but not worth returning. We won't be. No yogurt was offered !

Yelp
I'll just start by saying the food makes up for the service here. Maybe our waiter was having a bad day, but he did not look happy to be at work on the 4th of July lol. Other than the cold service and wrong meats delivered to us a few times, the bbq was really great and I really like their sides. An Irvine oldie but goodie for sure.

Yelp
Went on the weekend at 7pm, the wait wasn't too bad and we got seated at a reasonably time. Typical Korean bbq restaurant with rice paper and kimchi sides. The restroom should be maintained more often, it was very messy and smelled. One downside of the kbbq place is you don't get unlimited hot sauce. Other than that the food was solid.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I love this place. We love the pork belly and beef belly. The meat choices are great for the price of $32 a person with steam eggs, fried rice, and tofu soup!! At some other places, we usually pay about $45-60 a person. If it's busy, we give them time or remind them. I have never had a true problem here. Our food always came out good and the service have always been nice or decent. I guess some others reviewers have not been so lucky. I haven't had to experience what they have yet....crossing my fingers.

Yelp
Do Irvine a favor and just go out of business already. This place is an embarrassment; already a cemetery - 3 tables on a Friday. $35 per person gets you mediocre meat, dollar store quality ice cream, and a short, geriatric grandma owner with glasses, staring at you incessantly in the hopes of charging you extra for leftover food so she can stay in business. The owner has given up on this restaurant, this dump was in desperate need of a remodel 30 years ago, but of course, the fool won't do it. As others have mentioned, they could care less about customer service, sad ambience or quality of food. 1 star for at least choosing a name that closely resembles the quality of this garbage - shi* do rat.

Yelp
I came here for KBBQ with some friends for a weeknight dinner. The prices have really risen and we weren't able to get the most affordable tier, which is only during weekday lunch or late night, so it was $33.99/person. I started off with the Spicy Tofu Soup, which was delicious. There's a few banchans offered as well. For the sauce, you need to ask for the hot sauce and bean paste though. Everything came fairly quick as we were one of the few tables on a weeknight. We also got a grill change multiple times. For meat, we had the finger meat, beef belly, choice brisket, and hot pepper pork belly. Good KBBQ, but definitely come during weekday lunch or late night instead for the cheaper price.

Yelp
Came here for late night KBBQ on a Sunday. The best part is that if you come after 10pm any day of the week you can choose the lunch/late night 25.99 menu which is a great deal, there's also not too much of a crowd at this time. Make sure to clarify that you're ordering from that menu as well as confirm when you get your check. We ordered brisket, bulgogi, thinly sliced pork belly, spicy tofu soup, and fried rice that were all amazing. I love the variety of sides here that you get as well, the cucumbers are my favorite! The staff is quick with getting meats as well as changing the grill. There is a lot of seating inside however can fill up quickly on weekends, you are able to join the waitlist from yelp which is a plus! Great for small or large groups.
