FARMERS MARKETS, TO BE TREASURED!
Farmers Markets are what YOU make them, and this lovely market is no exception!
POLEAZE stop complaining about the lack of vendors at your chosen Farmers Market.
Local Artisans, Vendors and Farmers are struggling to bring YOU their BEST so support them, make constructive comments, perhaps become a vendor, ask to be part of the vendor selection committee and ask that NPO's be given a booth to share their mission statement with this great audience, help grow the Farmers Market you frequent!
A neighborhood Farmers Market is a great way to:
Create community
Create awareness of local NPOS
Create a sense of belonging ( because Farmers Markets are "EdFoodieSpaces" where people who are food lovers can educate and learn from other people who are food lovers about the value of eating fresh locally grown and produced edibles)!
Additionally a neighborhood Farmers Market is an opportunity to bring optimism to a community which maybe in transition or needs a outlook face lift!
Recall the saying:
"Food, I may not have much but you can share with me all that I have".
If your Farmers Market does not have a suggestion box displayed - make this your first suggestion to the organizers of the market, be constructive and support the vendors who are there. Farmers Markets are a gift, a community effort and a way to teach the NexGen about the bounty and beauty of locally grown and produced food and crafts!
A sincere smile while perusing your options, says a lot about your shopping experience, share one with a Farmers Market vendor it goes a long way:)
