Guy's for Lunch

My friend and I were driving around the other day looking for a sandwich spot that was new to us, and not a chain. We were talking about how many sandwich places have popped up, and how many ways can you do a sandwich? Well let me tell ya...Guy has prefected the sandwich. I've never heard of Guy's before. We saw it from the road and decided to check it out. What a great decision that was. Guy suggested the "Hot Italian", oh man was that good! Perfect amount of heat that didn't dominate the flavor. The bread was perfect and fresh. The bread is prepared in house. Since it was our first time in, Guy had us each try a sample of his soups of the day, also excellent. The one he had my try was I believe his Curry Turkey. I don't like curry but this was fantastic. I would definitely buy. My friend and I both agreed we're going to be back to Guy's.

The Sandy's are absolutely incredible, hospitality puts it over the top. We let Guy "the owner" know it was our 1st time in and he gave us a sample of their turkey chili and I hate turkey but it was amazing! Then the beautiful women in the back made our sandwiches with love and me being a sandy connoisseur I was blown away. Not only that but she brought out free sodes of macaroni salad and a delectable chocolate chip cookie! So happy we stumbled upon this place. WE WILL BE BACK 1000%

I went for my first time today and it was AMAZING!!!!!!!! The man who greeted us at the door was so incredibly nice and offered us immediately to try the soups. The chicken noodle soup is so freaking good. The sandwiches are amazing! And he gave us a free cookie as well. Amazing place and amazing environment

My first visit to Guys. The service was outstanding, especially the gentleman behind the register, who was polite, funny and greeted the customers with a great attitude! The food was delivered quickly, nice! The place was very clean, which I appreciate very much. I had a hot pastrami, which was very tasteful and good, not great, but very good. Throw some sauerkraut on it and it would be awesome! The chicken sandwich my wife had a unique, distinctive taste which was surprisingly very tasty. We will no doubt be back soon! Oh my goodness!! How come I didn’t try this place earlier. Food is so good. Best macaroni cheese in Roseville!! My husband love the soup and his sandwich a lots! I love the macaroni the most. The sandwich 🥪 is full of cheese! Every single bit is full of cheese. Highly recommended this location and will definitely come back again!

TLDR: life changing chicken sandwich is amazing but pastrami was not Five starts for the service, the life changing chicken salad sandwich is so delicious with the crisp bacon and the smooth chicken salad paired so well together. The pastrami however was a bit underwhelming for me especially compared to the chicken. It lacked some flavor, maybe a bit of red onion would help

09/23 Went in and got the "Life changer" chicken sandwich. The nickname is no joke...great bread, fresh tasting ingredients, nice spicy balance, great service. Previous visit: Very friendly owner who definitely takes pride in what he serves up. Tasty sandwiches, homemade turkey chili, lots of options. Went with "The Cali" which is hot pastrami with swiss, avocado, bacon, tomato, mayo, spicy mustard on sourdough (really good bread!). Absolutely would order again.

Accidentally happened upon this place and it has been AMAZING. I had the Life Changer on sourdough and that sandwich is correctly named. The sandwich was bigger than my forearm, was a great price, and was absolutely DELICIOUS! I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Whenever I'm in Roseville I make a point to stop by Guy's for a sandwich. This family run shop does an amazing job at making their customers feel welcome, and they not only make an amazing sandwich but their salads, cookies and soups are so good too! I used to exclusively order their Italian sandwich, but have branched out during my visits and so many of their sandwiches have won over my tastebuds. Some of my favorites are the Italian (of course), Guy's over the top chicken salad sandwich, The Awesome, the Triple Pig, and the Kickbutt. Their soups are also so good, and Guy is known to offer samples to first timers (though he's happy to offer samples if you want a quick taste). Everything is made in house and really has that fresh made taste. There's plenty of parking in the lot and they have seating available to enjoy your meal there. I typically take my meal to go, and they do a great job packing everything up for you. The food, service, and vibe here is always great!

I came here for lunch on my own the other day, and this is hands down my favorite spot for a hot pastrami sandwich. I don't usually order hot pastrami, but this is the one place that always changes my mind. It is sooo good! The cheese melts perfectly, the spicy mustard adds just the right kick, and I always add onions for a little extra crunch. I actually love sitting in there and enjoying lunch on my own it's such a comfortable, easygoing spot. Best hot pastrami in town, no question. To top it off, Guy at the counter is so sweet and fun to talk to. He'll even let you sample the chili, which is also super good I've grabbed that to go more than once! Highly recommend for a quick, delicious lunch with great service.

I stopped in at Guys for Lunch and tried the chicken salad sandwich, and it really hit the spot. The sandwich was fresh, the bread was soft, and the chicken salad had a nice balance of flavor. What I especially liked was the little kick of spice--it wasn't overwhelming, just enough to give it some personality. You can tell they put thought into the seasoning. The portion size was generous without being too heavy, which made it a perfect lunch. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, so it's definitely a place I'd come back to when I want something tasty and satisfying in the middle of the day. This is my go to after a visit to the dmv.

What a hidden gem! The staff is friendly, witty, and so knowledgeable! It was my husband and i's first time in and so they let us sample their chili & chicken soup. Both were delicious! My husband ordered the meatball sub and a small portion of the soup that was topped with homemade croutons. I ordered the nor cal sub on sourdough with all the fixings. Wow, the bread was so soft and flavorful and I appreciated they did not skimp on the deli meat. Overall a wonderful sandwich shop!

If you are in the Roseville area and you have time to stop by... Please support Guy's... I LOVE a great sandwich....... the options here are off the chain. Sides, mac's, salads, soups, PB&J.... Any type of create your own sandwich AND.... if you're lucky enough, you'll have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Guy himself, as I did! It's highly recommended. I have this business bookmarked to remind me of great food when I happen to be in the area from Sacramento. Thank you for reading!

This sandwich was definitely worth the drive. I ordered the "Kathy" off the secret menu and it was super filling and full of flavor. Stock full of meat and veggies with not too much spread that the sandwich is wet. I also subbed in Dutch crunch bread as I can only get it when out in the bay or sac area. If you're a fan, I recommend doing the same. I came right at opening and received my sandwich within 10 minutes. There's a good amount of seating inside as well. A must stop for lunch in Roseville

Guy's for Lunch attracted me with its 1,000+ reviews and 5 star rating. I was in the area, plus craving a sandwich and remembered that I previously book marked Guy's - so my experience begins!... I logged onto the website to place a pick up order around 1:35pm, with a pick up time at 2pm. I arrived at Guy's at 1:53pm and as I was standing in line, a worker placed my order in the pick up area, talk about perfect timing! The workers were very nice, greeted me and said thank you on my way out. My husband ordered "The Awesome" with consisted of Turkey, salami, cheddar, avocado, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, mustard and mayo. This is a real hearty, thick, filling sandwich. Very fresh! I opted to build my own sandwich. Of course I built the perfect roast beef sandwich with alllll the fixin's. I loved how fresh the bread tasted. The ratio of veggies to meat was perfect. I was only able to eat half of my sandwich, so yay for left overs! There's a few reasons this spot has over 1,000 reviews! Good sandwiches, friendly service are just to name a few. I was really excited to try this place seeing that it has almost 5 stars so i had to give it a try! I ordered the Kathy sandwich which is the veggie sandwich but with turkey and spicy mustard. The spicy mustard gives it a good kick and the ingredients are so fresh. It originally comes with the Dave's wheat bread, but I opted in for the Dutch crunch to give it more texture. I ordered takeout through their website and it was ready for pickup within 20 minutes. The service was fast and efficient, considering how busy they were especially during lunch time. I didn't get to eat inside, but there were lots of people eating inside with several tables to eat at. I'd highly recommend coming here for some hearty, delicious sandwiches!

I had guy's Over the Top Chick Salad Sandwich. It was the perfect blend of chicken salad with spicy mustard, jalapeño sauce and bacon! Yes!! It was the perfect sandwich! Yummy!

I've drive by Guy's For Lunch all the time but could never make it for their lunch. We finally was around and gave it a try and it did not disappoint! We walked in and it was fairly busy. The menu had their standard sandwiches and specialty sandwiches from their secret menu. We got The Cali and macaroni salad to share since wanted a light lunch. The Cali is from their not so secret secret menu. Everything tasted fresh. The pastrami had a nice flavor and the sourdough roll was tasty. I loved the macaroni salad. It was tangy, peppery, and had a nice crunch from the celery. Guy was super friendly and loved that he walked by and checked on everyone. We also checked in a got a free cookie! The cookie was fresh and tasted like your mom's homemade cookies. We loved the lunch and they totally deserve being in the top 100!

Stopped to get a few sandwiches to go. Ordered an Italian and build your own. The staff were very nice but it took a while to get my order (about 10 min). The rolls are delicious - that's the only positive I can say about my sandwich. I explicitly stated what I wanted on my sandwich and they still put raw onions (which I can't eat) on it which completely ruined my sandwich. And because they heated my sandwich which I thought was going to be cold sandwich, it made the onions even more pungent. It was awful. When paying $15 for a sando, I expect it to be correct. Personally I think there are better sandwich spots around but perhaps you'll have better luck here.

Excellent sandwiches. The portions are really big and delicious. Sandwiches are pricey, but isn't everything these days.

I had a good lunch here, but I'm not rushing to go back for seconds. While the ingredients were fresh, the bread didn't seem fresh. The sourdough roll I had was cold didn't seem fresh, surprisingly it was hard. The bread ratio to fillings was a bit more thick than what I like. Too much bread. I am an avid sour dough eater and the bread here just wasn't the best. I had a side salad, this was good. My cookie was okay. Customer service was nice.

Wow the pulled pork sandwich was amazingly DELICIOUS! I almost don't want to tell people about this place lol! It was served on soft warm bread. The pork was flavorful, not dry, not tough, perfect! It looked very plain when they served it, but I was delightfully surprised at how delicious it was! A must try! We also tried the chicken salad sandwich and house made macaroni salad. Both were also good. I like how the macaroni salad had pieces of onion and celery which added some texture and crunch. The chicken salad sandwich was huge! The only thing I would like is for them to include maybe a slaw for the pulled pork sandwich and more veggies (just because I like my greens) on the chicken salad sandwich. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available, along with a wall of barstool table for those dining alone. I will also add that I loved the decor they chose for the place too! There is a parking lot and parking was not an issue. Lastly, the gentlemen who took our order was very friendly (and funny). When he came to check on us after we got our food and found out it was our first time there, he gave us samples of their turkey chili (which was also yummy!). :) Highly recommend this place!

100% worth the hype! So like many others, I made the pilgrimage after Yelp's top 100 list came out. I was offered a taster of turkey chili, which was so good that even in the 103° heat, I bought some, along with the Norcal Sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich. The macaroni salad, which came free with the Yelp check-in, was unexpectedly good. I'm usually a potato salad person, but really enjoyed the sweet and tangy salad here. All the other hyperbole and superlatives being used to describe the sandwiches are warranted. Service is also very friendly and efficient. Came around lunchtime on a Thursday and there was no line. Please come check it out to experience the sandwich sorcery for yourself!

I was greeted upon entering, and offered a taste of one of four soups. The gentleman was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the coconut-curry soup and 1/2 sandwich combo. In short, it was reasonably priced, served quickly, and delicious. I ordered the 1/2 chicken salad sandwich on wheat bread. The bread was fresh, and the chicken salad was the best I've had in years. The apple and celery gave the sandwich a welcomed crunch, while the slow roasted chicken was tender and slightly juicy. I even picked out a bit of apple smoke (in the flavor). Delicious! I opted for the coconut curry soup, and it did not disappoint. Oh so slightly spicy, the bottom of the bowl offered a generous amount of quinua and chickpeas. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. When visiting this neighborhood again, I'll definitely be back for lunch.

This spot was on our radar after it got ranked #18 on Yelp's top 100 restaurants for 2024, & it did not disappoint! We came on a Wednesday about 1p. It wasn't too busy, but there was a number of people eating in and getting to go orders, many seemed like regulars. The restaurant is kept clean, has an ambiance of wood & brick, & has different seating options to enjoy your food. We noted that people cleared their own plates in a bin by the drink machine. We were warmly welcomed & greeted by the man himself, who also checked in on us as we ate. When he heard it was our first visit, we were given "shooters" to be "initiated"--samples of the turkey chili & the chicken noodle soup!! Both were quite delicious! We got a Yelp check-in offer and opted for the free macaroni salad, which was an ample serving! It wasn't too mayonnaise-y & had good texture from the celery and onion. We ordered The Foodie & The Triple Pig. I'm not one who normally gravitates towards chicken salad, but I had to see what it was all about since reviews raved. The Foodie surprised me with how outstanding it was!! I can't remember the last time I enjoyed eating a sandwich so much! I couldn't help but do a little dance & let out audible "mmm" sounds as I ate up! Every component was yummy--the chicken salad, the vegetation, the salami & cheese--& together, it was such delicious bites of food! And wow, the French bread was just freakin' excellent--soft, substantial enough, with texture from an outer crustiness! The Triple Pig was good as well, satisfyingly loaded with porkiness, cheese, and a sweet barbecue sauce. It had the same bread, but perhaps because it was hot, it didn't have quite the same bite to it. This was definitely some crave worthy food in a spot with a great, friendly vibe! Will absolutely be back!

Went there today and got the chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat..also i tried the Mac salad ..this place is the best quality and amount of freshness is worth it ..The service is fast and friendly and a clean place..

Now that I've been to Guy's at least a handful of times, I'd thought I'd share my experience.  The place is small, only a handful of tables, some elevated bar stool seating along the wall, & some outdoor tables.    The first time, I ordered the Triple Pig which comes with pulled pork, ham, bacon and cheddar cheese on a French roll.  The first thing I noticed was how fresh the bread was, super soft with just enough pull to give it a great texture.  But overall, I wasn't that impressed with the sandwich.  My sweetie ordered The Foodie and thankfully she shared a few bites with me.  And let me tell you, it only took one bite for me to say this was one of the best tasting, most satisfying sandwiches I've ever had in my life.  The chicken salad is absolutely delicious with plenty of chicken & no bits of unpleasantly textured chicken.  The salami, Swiss cheese, and spicy mustard make for a tasty bite, and the pepperoncinis add a little bit of spice.   Since that first visit, we've ventured around the menu a little bit with sandwiches and soups, and have found everything enjoyable. For me, I now order the Foodie and I have Guy add his hot sauce onto it.  I don't think I will ever need to order another sandwich other than The Foodie.

I just got it. Guy's with an apostrophe, not plural. Guy is quite a character with a smile and dad jokes catered to each customer. I was hungry coming in on a Tuesday at 1:45. I was fifth in line and was standing by the door. That's how intimate this lunch spot is. Skipping through the COVID years, it was nice returning and noticed nothing has changed decor wise. Even the daily specials were still handwritten on a paper roll. I was in and out within 25 minutes, which was a long time to wait for to-go lunch, but I didn't really mind. They did have plenty of signs apologizing for the long wait as they've been featured again in Yelp's Top 100 US Restaurants, number 18 for 2024. Mac Salad. Got it complimentary via Yelp check-in. Liked the celery and onion mixed with the lightly dressed pasta Chicken Noodle Soup. The chicken cubes were flavorful. The broth and twisted pasta made this dish a winner for this Yelper. Pulled Pork Sandwich. Generous slab of slow cooked meat with a spicy BBQ sauce was another great sandwich even with its simplicity. Chicken Salad Sandwich. Another slow cooked item that's been the most popular. I loved the crunch of the apple bits every time I took a bite off this dish. Keep up the good work, Guy and family. Here's to making it again on Yelp's distinguished list for 2025!

If you're in the area and looking for a reasonably priced delicious sandwich you can't do better than this. I had the over the top chicken salad sandwich and it was easily one of the best sandwiches I've had in Recent memory. The Dutch crunch was warm and fresh and complimented the cool creamy chicken salad and crunchy bacon perfectly. The smoky spicy jalapeño sauce had just enough kick and brought the whole sandwich together. The interior is welcoming has a decent amount of table and bar-style seating. Service was speedy and friendly, It's clear from the warm welcomes and steady flow of regulars that this is a local favorite. I understand why people love this place and I'll definitely be back many times.

Well, Guy! We loved it. Thabk you for the great service and great food. Had a fantastic lunch at your place. Yay! And I finally got to check off one of my bookmarked "to go" places! And double yay, we got our complimentary mac salad, which was super yummy btw! CHICKEN SALAD SANDWICH my oh my, so tasty. That roll is super soft and had super chucky pieces of chicken. Nothing disappointing about this sandwich. TURKEY CHILI Had a couple of spoonfuls and I had to take it to go! This is an entire separate meal! Gonna pour this over some rice and enjoy this later! The wife gives this place 2 thumbs up! And so do I! The place is super clean and has a great vibe to it. So in short, lovely ambiance! Also, loved meeting Guy, awesome owner and loved seeing him work at his own place. Mad respect for active owners! Thanks my Guy! We will see you soon enough!

So dang good! The staff is very friendly, the service quick, and the sandwich I had... so so good! I ordered the ham and cheddar on a soft French roll. It was just the right size and satisfying. I was even offered an initiation "shot" of turkey chili since it was my first time in... delicious! I highly recommend this great spot for a delicious sandwich.

Great sandwiches, Excellent service [Roseville CA] Guy's for Lunch has been in my bookmarked collection for some time now and I finally made it here. I couldn't decide between a Chicken Salad Sandwich and a BLT. It was my first time and the owner immediately welcomed ("initiated") me with a sample of their turkey chili. Sooo gooood! I decided on a BLT. The sandwich came with a Lay's Potato Chips. I enjoyed the BLT, delicious and very good, everything was fresh, so yummy. I checked in Yelp for a choice of either a complimentary macaroni salad or a cookie. I chose the Mac salad. It was a bowl of goodness. I got so full from it I wasn't able to eat the other half of my BLT. You can dine-in or they have an outdoor seating available. The owner and staff were friendly and pleasant. We have been going to this sandwich shop since it opened. The food is great and it's operated by a local family.

I finally got to try this place after hearing about how good it is, I picked the over the top chicken salad sandwich since that is what it most popular. The quality of bread is by far my favorite I have ever had. It has the perfect texture. I would try another sandwich next time but I loved the chicken salad there as well. The service was friendly and quick. There are plenty of tables inside and outside to eat at as well.

Guy's sandwiches are the best in town and service is always the best. Check out the secret menu for sure as there are a lot of goodies on there.

Is it possible to be in love after only one lunch? Yes! Recently stopped by for lunch , and boy am I glad I did! Immediately upon walking in the place felt cozy, warm, and friendly. I ordered a turkey sandwich and saw others eating salads that looked amazing! My sandwich was delicious! I got a dill pickle spear on the side and gleefully ate my sandwich. The bread was fresh and warm, the turkey was quality turkey breast, the veggies were fresh and the sandwich was assembled perfectly.

I want to put a disclaimer that the sandwich I had was great and is worthy of 5 stars, but the experience I had in store was weird, a little uncomfortable, and probably worthy of 2-3 stars. Maybe it was an off day (it was rainy), or maybe that's just the owner's personality and he's just quiet, but it was weird. I walked in and he was standing there at the register just cleaning a couple things. Didn't say hi, what can I get you, anything. I mean really didn't even acknowledge my presence, and I was the only one in line. It wasn't busy at all, just a few parties eating inside. Eventually I spoke up and just placed my order but it was just really quiet on the other end, almost felt like they didn't want me in there. But after that, I saw him going up to customers (I'm sure regulars which is awesome) and looked like all smiles and friendly. So I'm not sure, maybe I misinterpreted it and was expecting more based on other people's reviews and offering them samples of soups and what not. That's why I'm still giving 4 stars, it's not going to stop me from coming and I'm very willing to say that it was probably just an off day for them, but I just thought it was an odd experience. Anyway, onto the sandwich. I had the Foodie. It's kind of a mix between an Italian and a chicken salad sandwich, which is a combination that I had never heard of but sounded great. Chicken salad, salami, pepperoncinis, and whatever else. It came on a warm French roll that was excellent. The chicken salad itself was not too goopy from Mayo at all - it was big chunks of chicken for the most part with some thinly chopped apple, and I think onion and celery maybe. It was wonderful. And so much meat! They did not skimp out. So, I will be coming back to try some other sandwiches on their menu that sounded good, and I'll just hope that the overall experience is better next time. If he's got good sandwiches, I guess that's all that really matters.

It was great! They were super busy after YELP ranking. But they have their system down! Lines moved quickly (Guy was taking the orders). Food came out quickly and was delicious. All four of us ladies enjoyed our lunch!

My friend and I went here a few weeks ago. I got a turkey sandwich that had just 1 thin layer of everything. Which was surprising after looking at the pictures on yelp. The sandwich did have a nice flavor. But it was mainly bread. I was given a sample of the turkey chili which was really good. If I go back, I'd get that instead of a sandwich.

On a day off from work, I decided to make the trek up to Roseville to try Guy's for lunch. Like many others, I had heard about their recent accolades, and was eager to give them a shot. I arrived about 11:24 AM, 24 minutes after they opened, and there was already a line out the door. But the service was extremely fast and friendly, and I did not mind the wait. With so many tasty looking options, it was hard to choose, but I eventually settled on trying the over-the-top chicken salad sandwich. It is their original chicken salad sandwich with a spicy twist. Checking in with yelp also earned me the option of either a free side of macaroni salad, or a free chocolate chip cookie. I decided to get the free macaroni salad and simply just purchased the chocolate chip cookie. I placed my order to go as the indoor seating was already full and I had other errands to run. When I got home, I dug into my sandwich and let me tell you - it was worth the hype! The over-the-top chicken salad sandwich was phenomenal. The perfect amount of heat, and a nice balance of creaminess. The crunch from the bread made the sandwich sing in my mouth. As for the macaroni salad, it was also phenomenal and I am not a huge macaroni salad person, so this is saying a lot! I ended my meal with my sweet treat of the chocolate chip cookie - which again, whoever makes those cookies deserves a big hug! I will definitely be back to try more of Guy's phenomenal sandwiches and tasty soups.

Sandwiches are really good they stack the meat which is nice, I had the chicken salad that comes with the jalapeño sauce but it was still a little bland. Very pricey for a family of 4.

This is my favorite sandwich spot. I love the friendly staff and the classic sandwich spot ambience. I always order a sandwich and salad and it's delicious every time. I like the location too, right off of pleasant grove with easy parking.

I consider myself a sandwich connoisseur. There is an art to building one that holds the way the architect builds his masterpiece... solid. No tilting to the side. Perfection. it needs to stay together and it must taste fantastic. I am a sandwich snob. I am that sandwich expert... I am... that Sandwich Connoisseur. My boyfriend and I walked into Guy's for lunch because he heard it was delicious. I also had Guy's bookmarked on my Yelp app... how do you pass up a sandwich shop with over 900 reviews that average 5 stars? You don't. I ordered the Pulled Pork - slow cooked with Guy's spicy bbq on sourdough. Guy, himself, was at the register, and asked if I wanted to make it a kick butt... he explained to me that Guy's Kick Butt Pulled Pork was a Pulled pork with crispy bacon, think red onion and melted pepper jack! My boyfriend ordered their Hot Pastrami... California Style! It came with avocado and bacon on sourdough. The sandwiches were $10.99 each. With the California Style on the Pastrami and the Kick Butt on the Pulled Pork upgrades did make our lunch a little pricey. We paid over $33 for two sandwiches, chips and one redbull (we did each enjoy Beachhut a few days later and paid massively less) Guy did have a sign at the register that said check out our offers on Yelp... when I mentioned it, he gave us a free sample of his chicken noodle soup and his chili... I have never tasted such a good chicken broth. I need to know how you do it! His chili is also just as amazing, but I can't get over that extreme burst of flavor with his chicken broth! It is the best I have ever tasted! On to the star of the show! Guy brought our sandwiches to us with perfect presentation. Chips in between two halves of our sandwiches. My first bite of the Pulled Pork sandwich, KICK BUTT STYLE, was SENSATIONAL. The pork was FRESH! It had the perfect texture in my mouth. The spicy bbq to Pulled pork ratio was so PERFECT! My boyfriend's Hot Pastrami was so DELICIOUS, he said it made him almost want to cry tears of happiness! Neither of us wanted to, but we swapped halves of our sandwiches and we couldn't get past the PERFECTION of flavors... perfect soup and perfect sandwiches... When we stopped by, it was not busy (thank goodness because we were hungry!) There was plenty of tables chairs. Along the wall were tall barstools, and a long table for everyone to sit. I couldn't imagine being here on a busy day. This particular day was quite and Guy had perfect customer service. Above and beyond! Guy has definitely cooked up the best concoction for the perfect sandwich... that makes him the best sandwich connoisseur around.

Been to Guys several times. The food he serves is delicious, can't go wrong from the sandwich's to the chili to the soups. Only negatives, it's definitely on the expensive side for a sandwich, and I don't mind paying it for good food, I'd only ask that there is more meat on the sandwich. Had a delicious pastrami sandwich, it was definitely light on the pastrami. Definitely recommend Guys for lunch!

My wife and I love trying new places for lunch on Saturdays. We felt like a sandwich and decided to give Guy's for Lunch a try. I can definitely see why they have such great ratings and reviews. Food was amazing, people were amazing. Can't recommend this place enough. I had the kick butt and my wife had the life changer. We did the half soup and sandwich combo. Thanks for great experience. We will be back!!

I was playing golf with a friend and he started talking about the best chicken salad sandwich he'd ever tasted. "Guy's For Lunch", I asked. Yep. I'm sure their other food is great and I'll probably try it after about 300 trips for the chicken salad.

This place rocks! Guy is great! This restaurant is nestled snuggly in a shopping center off pleasant grove blvd. Well built treated wood tables with open-sided seats for comfort. The store is clean and plays upbeat country songs. The cookie is amazing! We ate the first one and purchased two more before getting our sandwiches. ( Guy's daughter Brooke makes them every morning! ) We ordered Triple Pig & Kick Butt - swapped half's immediately and debated which one was better, ultimately ending in a "no decision". The numbers given upon ordering are of a chair he built with his father and repurposed after his passing which means " he always here with us ". Wish I could rate this place 10 stars. Guy's for lunch is a must have in NorCal.

The food here is very good and very consistent. The turkey chili is great. The staff is friendly. However, the main guy taking orders always has a smirk on his face like he just farted and no one noticed.

Super friendly service, great food, loved my sandwich! I got a chicken salad sandwich, with the works added to it, I have never had their sauce. was very good. My girlfriend got the Italian sandwich, she said hers was good as well, we are leaving with each with half our sandwich to go. The chili is the bomb for colder weather or rainy days. Highly recommend!! If it's your first time, mention it. They will let you try their soup of the day, maybe the chili if they have it. Also, check in on Yelp for a free cookie or whatever they got going on.

Guys for Lunch is a small but comfortable place , great staff extremely professional and polite. Soups are delicious, sandwiches are very good , I enjoy the hot sandwiches.

Great food! Ordered the Antipasto salad & the "Foodie", "Cali", "Kick-butt" sandwiches and my family loved them all, very fresh ingredients & fresh warm baked breads. Inside is a bit of a rustic feel, very clean and friendly customer service. Do the Yelp checkin and get a cookie or mac salad! We stopped in after driving out to Green Acres from Sac and wanted lunch nearby, saw the 5-star review and glad we made the right choice! Will drive out just to come here in future - def worth it!
