Stumptown Coffee Moves Its West End Cafe Into the New 11W Building | Eater Portland

"Opening tomorrow in the 11W Building at Southwest 11th and Washington, Stumptown Coffee’s new West End cafe replaces its former Ace Hotel spot (the move was announced in August 2023). In addition to the regular coffee lineup, the 11W location will feature rotating seasonal and signature drinks — notably spring’s Rose Gold Honey Cortado made with Jacobsen Co. honey — and will offer pastries, bagels, and sandwiches from Sparrow Bakery, Spielman Bagels, and Shoofly Vegan Bakery. The space was designed in collaboration with Studio Butch in a ‘Japandi’ style that nods to Japanese wabi-sabi and Scandinavian hygge." - Janey Wong

"It’s hard to imagine now that their coffee is in every cute coffee shop from San Francisco to Charleston, but there was a time when you could only get Stumptown in Portland. Their cheeky shops are still the best for local roasts, and Tasting Bar at their HQ makes a fun (and energizing) outing for coffee snobs. There are locations in every major neighborhood: Downtown, Sunnyside, Old Town Chinatown, and Richmond. "

Went to the downtown Stumptown with my boyfriend while we were walking around. The place has a cool vibe, definitely trendy but not too much. It was kinda busy but we still found a spot to sit. I got the matcha latte, and it was good! Not too sweet, you can actually taste the matcha which I like. The milk could’ve been a little creamier but honestly still way better than the average coffee shop. My boyfriend had a cappuccino and he said it was really smooth and not bitter at all. We grabbed a pastry to share, tasted great but a little small for the price. Service was quick, nobody super chatty but they got everything right and fast. Overall, it’s exactly what you expect from Stumptown—good drinks, nice atmosphere. My matcha wasn’t the best ever but it was solid. Would come back for sure.

This Portland coffee shop is a real treat for the senses. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the rich, comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The space is beautifully designed. I ordered a cafe latte, which was smooth and well-balanced, hitting all the right notes. There’s plenty of seating inside for catching up on work or conversation, and outdoor seating is available if you want to soak up some fresh air. All in all, a beautiful café that’s absolutely worth a visit if you’re in town.

Lovely little Café in downtown Portland. The coffee was very expensive, but very delicious. The pastries were pretty mid, left a lot to be desired. Staff were very friendly, and welcoming. The café itself was cozy, small, and clean.

I ordered a cappuccino and a pistachio croissant. The cappuccino was rich and the pistachio croissant was not too sweet. Delish! I'll be sure to visit again before I leave Portland, which is 24 hours from now!

The latte was okay, it’s a typical mild latte that you can get all over States. I like my coffee bitter, so maybe I should’ve asked for extra shots. But despite that, can tell that the beans used are actually quite good.

The store isn't very large, so there aren't many seats, but the interior is nicely done. Although they don't serve my favorite coffee beans, the overall quality is consistently good enough to enjoy a relaxing moment. It's a place I would recommend.

Amazing coffee in this little but welcoming place. Espresso and cortado were very good. Service was great with polite and fun baristas that gave us a good experience.
