The biscuits underneath the mousse was really crunchy 👌 The almond croissant is good, but can definitely find better in better homemade French bakeries though. The oat milk latte was really good though 👍 The staff is super nice. Very pleasant experience.

Discovering this charming cafe was a delight! Arriving around 5:30, I found myself tempted by their array of baked goods, although many were nearly sold out. Note to self: arrive earlier to indulge in their delicious treats! From dessert tasting menus to hearty lunch options, there's something to satisfy every craving at this gem of a spot. Can't wait to return and explore more of their offerings! It’s always a pleasant surprise to find a restroom that’s as aesthetically pleasing as the rest of the cafe. A true testament to the attention to detail and ambiance of this lovely establishment!

Great place for dessert. Got the soba pudding to go and it was unique and delicious. Also love that the pudding was in a nice glass container that I could keep and reuse. Can't wait to come back and try more of their pastries and desserts.

The service was not good. The person behind the counter would not let my wife and my two children along with myself sit at the three bar stools to wait for a table to open. Next, we had to ask if we could sit at the counter but they did not seem to want us to sit there. Then another person came out and we asked her, she said we could. Table finally open up and we went to sit down and we were asked to move until the rabble was cleaned. This is a very small and uncomfortable restaurant. The drinks were not that good. The strawberry short cake, didn’t have any cake in it. The only think that was good was the Green Tea Tarimsu.

Patisserie Fouet offers a serene oasis from the Union Square hubbub in which to enjoy refined Japanese-inspired French classics. The pastries are all beautiful and highly tempting. I bought a slice of the yuzu green tea chiffon cake ($7), which was delicate in flavor and light in density. Although I appreciated that the cake was not too sweet, it was a bit dry. I also found the green tea flavor too subtle. Even though I resist against too much frosting, here the frosting was actually my favorite part of the cake and helped balance the subtlety of the matcha. The ambience was lovely; it was quiet on a Tuesday right before noon, with a few tables of people reading and conversing. A wonderful experience overall to savor beautiful desserts with novel flavors.

The cutest shop with the prettiest pastries! A friend and i came in on a Sunday morning at around 10:30 to see the place somewhat packed and business picked up even more after our arrival, but we were still able to grab a table toward the back of the shop. My friend got the seasonal lemon pie. I loved that it was in a shape of a lemon! It was very rich and decadent, tangy and sweet. I ordered a strawberry croissant. The cream filling was very light, and the croissant overall wasn't too sweet which I personally like. I also wanted to order the royal oolong milk tea, but they couldn't do any milk substitute for that particular drink, so I got an iced sesame latte instead. The sesame flavor was very strong, a little too strong for me, so I couldn't finish it. I think this latte is one of those drinks you have to get hot, so that the sesame flavor is well infused into the rest of the drink. Overall, a very nice, quiet place where pastries aren't too sweet, workers are extremely nice. Pastries are a bit on the pricier side but worth the experience at least once.

It's a nice place to sit down after dinner to eat fancy desserts with friends, which is exactly what we were looking for. They don't have tables for more than 4 people though so they'll ask you to sit at the bar. We got the NY cheesecake and mango mousse desserts - overall good but not amazing cheesecake.

Came here to pick up a birthday cake and sat down for lunch. The matcha latte was really fresh, hot and strong. I loved the freshness of the open face salmon "sando." Staff was very kind, friendly and efficient. The restroom was also clean and located in the back of the restaurant. I always have a great time when I come here.

Cute pastry shop with good options. I have a bad sweet tooth so nothing in here was sweet enough for me. However everything was still delicious. The apple one was my favorite of them all! Service was good. You can grab a table and then order up at the counter.

The place was really busy when we went around 5pm on a Sunday so you should expect to have a wait if you go. We got the chamomile mango noise mousse, matcha latte and royal oolong milk tea. To be honest both of the drinks weren't good. The matcha latte wasn't sweeten and they didn't ask if I wanted it sweeten and the milk tea didn't have a strong enough oolong flavor. I just didn't deduct another star because at least they didn't charge an outrageous price for the drinks. They were both $7. They also offer self serve water. The mousse was good but really tiny and $12. It wasn't anything amazing and the biscuit on thebottom of it was so hard to cut into but at least I still liked the flavor to make up for that. I don't know if I'll go back because they're known for the mango mousse when I asked and that wasn't anything amazing.

Visited with two other friends to try their tasting menu! I selected the earl grey soufflé as my entree and the cold brew as my drink. We shared all of our entrees so I also got to taste the creme brûlée and the shell dessert as well! We were satisfied with all three, but I would recommend trying the other desserts on the menu as the soufflé was a little more plain/boring than the other two that really wowed us. The starter dish was great as well, but I would say the petit three (the last course) fell a little short. Staff were attentive and quick to service. The atmosphere was mostly quiet and relaxing too! It's hard to say if I'd try the tasting menu again, but I would come back to try their other standalone pastry items if I'm in the area :)

Will definitely have to go back in person one day as my (delivery) experience seems so abnormal and I'm inclined to believe that we could have made better choices! But, we ordered quite a variety of desserts.. for the price and aesthetic we thought basically everything was painfully average. 3.5 is more like it in terms of taste. Ordered: *Vanilla Bean Ice Cream *Strawberry Balsamic Sorbet + Peach Prosecco Sorbet * Shiso Fromage Blanc Mousse * Assorted Mochi Macaron Box * Raspberry Jam Jar * Strawberry Shortcake Verrine * Mont Blanc Verrine Very airy -- too airy. Everything lacked flavor except the sorbets. No strong fruitiness or punch in things that should have been lively. LOVED the mochi macaron concept, though! ~ Would come back to try a few different desserts in person and will update this review when I make that visit ~

The green tea tiramisu was the perfect essence of the Asian "not too sweet" dessert in a sense that the green tea powder gave it a slightly bitter taste that you expect to find in high end dessert. I had a loose leaf hojicha with it and the combo made my day. Will definitely be back to try other Japanese French dessert.

Finally got the chance to check this place off my list of cafes to try out. I was in the area earlier for brunch with a friend and we decided to check out this cafe as it was in the area. We ordered a drink and shared their chamomile mango mousse. Flavors were on par of the 'not too sweet' type which I'm all for. We got to sit by the bar which was nice as I always love watching chefs at work- something about pastry chefs and watching and smelling sweets just calms the nerves. We stopped by during late afternoon and we paid via cashier and picked a spot by the bar. Everything was pretty much prepay and then sit/chill/chat without pressure to leave at any time. Will be back again!

Cute patisserie near Union Square! They had a lot of options for pastries but my main thing is that it was overpriced for what we got. We got the sesame apricot mousse and the strawberry shortcake. We also got the yuzu lemonade and ginger ale which were pretty good. Cute spot/interior -- would be great for a date!

I love French and East Asian fusion patisserie, and @fouetnyc is another one in the city that blends Japanese flavor into French pastries! I liked the subtle hint of Japanese tastes such as shiso, and it felt like eating desserts back in Asia. Only downside is that the space is quite cramped and loud with people coming and going close to your table, so felt a bit pressured.

Been wanting to come for the longest time. Finally made the decision to come but for takeout. Got a couple of verrines to go. Matcha tiramisu cream was more stiff than I preferred, but the matcha taste was strong. It wasn't too sweet either. The soba pudding was my favorite. It was silky smooth and not too sweet. I would've preferred the caramel on the top instead of the bottom. Not much soba taste from what I could tell though. Super creamy and delicious. Sesame apricot was also very good. Again could be smoother, but the sesame flavor was bold. Light and airy. Definitely want to be back to try their soufflé. It's a bummer that it's only part of their tasting though.

A cute Japanese-inspired patisserie near Union Square. The warm hanging lights, wooden furnishings and bar stools give a retro-tinged Showa Era vibe. We were overexcited to see the wide selection of cakes in their display shelves! ＊ Soba Pudding Favorite among all! It was filled with a silky smooth pudding and topped with a soba cookie giving a satisfying crunch. As our spoon reached the bottom, we could savour the caramel syrup, which created a slightly bitterness against the sweet eggy custard. To me it was more like a regular vanilla pudding as the soba flavor was very subtle, but overall an enjoyable treat. ＊ Black Sesame Apricot Pudding The black sesame mousse stood out itself as it was bursting with strong nuttiness, yet the combination of chocolate frost (top) and apricot jam (bottom) didn't compliment well with one another. It was a pity that the design of this dessert cup was a total failure even though each layer was decadent separately. I had a feeling their Black Sesame Latte will taste really good though. ＊ Strawberry Shortcake The jar was loaded with airy whipped cream and sliced strawberries, finished with meringue at the bottom. Yet the sponge cake was too porous and rough. It was a delightful treat but this price point ($11) I expected something more delicate. ＊ Chamomile Mango Mousse Beautifully crafted mousse cake with a edible chrysanthemum and white chocolate crunches garnished on top. Wrapped inside the smooth cream, it featured sweet mango purée and sponge cake. It even had fake moss on the side. Sadly the bottom cookie was soggy. ＊ Iced Matcha Latte, Royal Oolong Milk Tea Upon our first sip, we could already tell the tea they used was top tier. The matcha was still too mild for my liking but the premium aroma won me over. No extra sugar was added to the drinks so it was a huge bonus.

Most of my gripe is that they don't have an allergens notice or list any on their ingredients card and only once I asked about nut allergies did I learn they're in the majority of their pastries. I was left with the matcha tiramisu which was entirely devoid of flavor. The space is cute and the desserts can be very aesthetic but many other dessert places to visit instead.

We came here on a Monday afternoon and sat indoors. As soon as you walk in, you see the beautiful display of desserts. I tried the yuzu lemonade and green tea tiramisu. The yuzu lemonade was so refreshing with a unique twist on classic lemonade. Definitely recommend it. The green tea tiramisu was also delicious. The top layer of matcha has a slight bitterness that balances out the sweetness of rest of the dessert.

Patisserie Fouet has a lot of interesting things for everyone. I've been here four times so far. The cold brew here is my favorite coffee of all time. The cold brew is the smoothest coffee I've ever had in my life that isn't borderline water. I stop by whenever I am in the area and would definitely suggest coffee lovers to try the cold brew. The matcha latte also is very good. While I'm always a coffee first person, I loved their strong matcha taste in their latte. Soba Pudding is my favorite dessert, light sweet dessert. Basil Apple looks pretty but pretty conflicted with basil in my dessert! Not for me but it definitely was cute.

Check the bacon to sandwich ratio on this BLT. Wild. Guys I get there's inflation but is this really the best solution? I assumed this was a mistake, and asked if they could provide more bacon. I was assured that each sandwich gets two pieces of bacon so I must be mistaken. TY for the reassurance... Btw even if that were the case, how are you going to put two pieces of bacon on a ***BLT*** sandwich ... where each slice of bread is an inch thick? $16 plus tax. I really felt like I was being pranked eating here.

We got lucky on a Friday afternoon without a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes. You order/pay at the register and the waitstaff will bring you the order. You also have to get water at the counter and are not allowed to bring the bottle to the table so if you need a refill for the small cup you'll have to constantly get up or stay thirsty. I got the dessert tasting set since I really wanted to try the soufflé (it is not sold individually). They are also pretty strict about ordering the tasting set at exactly 3pm or after, not any minute before 3pm. The earl grey earl soufflé had the right amount of tea taste and it paired well with the persimmon sauce/ice cream. As for the other two courses, I didn't care too much for it, both were really small and just average.

Super cute and delicious dessert! Probably my favorite in the city. I've been here several times and I have never left disappointed. The matcha latte here is perfect. It's not sweet, which I appreciate and enjoy. The desserts are tasty, unique, and beautiful. I was most excited to try the basil green apple as I am a big fan of anything apple related. The addition of the basil filling in the inside was very different from anything I had tasted before in a dessert. I was pleasantly surprised! Inside is very clean. However, indoor seating is limited. They do have a clean bathroom. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

I love dessert bars, and patisserie fouet is such a cute spot near union square with a wide variety of patisserie all of which look so delicious. I got the mango chamomile one and the matcha tiramisu along with a royal oolong tea. They were all pretty good but for $8 a cup the oolong tea is one you can skip. I would for sure focus more on the desserts rather than the drinks.

I came for their French and Asian-influenced tea. It was pricey but aesthetic for $50 and I expected they'd have more tea offerings than they did. I'd say they are known for their pastries, not their tea. I liked the Chamomile mango mousse--you get to pick one pastry from the pastry counter with your afternoon tea. Service was not very friendly. There's not many seats.

I've been to this patisserie around 3 years ago and thought I would give it a try I was looking for something sweet. Patisserie Fouet did not disappoint! Service - service was pretty standard. I only ordered a cake so I took my plate and found a seat myself. Atmosphere - I liked how they had outdoor seats as well as counter spaces and tables. The place isn't big though, and like another reviewer printed out, they do allow laptops. Food - I ordered the mango mouse and was so pleased! It wasn't too sweet and the flavor and textures were spot on. My friend ordered the yuzu jasmine cake and that was also spot on. It's hard to find places that don't oversweeten their desserts.

Adorable pastries! Everything looks so delicate and unique. I had the strawberry shortcake - it had several layers to it, which made it delightful to try. There was a thick layer of cream on top, fresh strawberries and fluffy cake inside, and a layer of white chocolate at the bottom. It was a little bit too sweet for me and a bit pricey, but overall the experience was good. I loved the cute cafe style - the interior was very cozy, and there are a few seats both inside and outside. It gets a bit crowded, but service was still fast.

The best deserts and matcha I've had in NYC for sure and haven't changed that for years after tried many places. If you had experience for authentic pastries in Paris and Tokyo this place will not disappoint you. Not like typical American sugary kinda pastries that I can't even finish one without feeling heavy afterwards. I'm not a big sweet eater in general but we could eat at this place a couple of pastries easily and not feel heavy that's unusual for us. All looked so delicious and wanted a few of them if we didn't have a big lunch right before came here this time. Their other menu like hot sandwiches we had many times in the past were actually amazingly delicious as well - They cook right in the spot after ordered. We always stop by this place whenever we have a chance to come this area. Very cozy and cute ambiance and always clean. Can't wait to returning to this cafe again!

"Get your dose of NY rudeness" If you want old school indifference and gruff reception this is your place! No easy going friendliness here!!! While they say 90 mins l was kicked out after 81 minutes on dot. No exceptions even though just ordered something. I even brought this to the attention of the time Nazi. - Staff seems unhappy and joyless. I wonder if they are fired for smiling - coffee is good - small seating area - pretty but over priced desserts

Awesome place near union square which we discovered while taking a stroll in the city. The pastries and the desserts are very good looking, and that will attract anyone to try them out. There is a small display of the desserts and towards the left is a nice seating area which moved pretty fast. We tried the "Caramel Cheesecake" and the "Shiso Fromage Blanc Mousse", which I had never tried before and needed an interpreter to explain what it means. The desserts are tasty, but not too sweet, which was surprising as they sure do look very sweet. However once you are done with the dessert which happened oh too quickly, you do not feel too full nor too guilty, so I guess it is a good thing. The jasmine tea they offered was really good, catered by "Silver Needle" A nice place to unwind, indulge and enjoy!

This small Japanese dessert bar that specializes in intricate high-end quality desserts is a must! My favorite is to sit at the counter and watch the magic happen. It's a true science. Orders are taken at the register so don't dilly dally and linger at the counter. Tip: not only buy desserts to go but take home a pint of ice cream. (Personal Fav. Black Sesame)

The vibe and the variety of quality desserts make this place worth it. Plus it's in a great location to just drop by for dessert with a friend. Classy, minimally Japanese inspired, the bar is gorgeous. There's not much seating but turnover and service is fast. Some of the desserts are amazing , others are almost there but not quite. Prices are steep. But overall I would highly recommend this place for the beauty and the ambience.

Desserts are def pricey, but they are fun to try. I'm not sure I would go out of my way to go here again but I'd be open to trying other stuff on their menu. We got the chamomile mango mousse cake (chamomile part was incredible but the mango had fake mango energy and was overpowering in a way that I don't like but I'm snobby about mangoes because of where my people are from) and the soba pudding (super yummy except for the bottom which is too sweet, the cookie on top is very fun texture and flavor).

Came here and got Shiso Fromage Blanc Mousse. It was pretty good looking and it tasted good. It was creamy, savory, and well made. Surprised the cookie at the bottom didnt show any sogginess but it was crispy Definitely coming back to this place for more! : )

Hidden gem for great desserts. I would love to dine-in next time. Very relaxing vibes. Cheesecake is great. Not too sweet with the caramel. Staff is very friendly.

Tried this place with my friends couple of times whenever we are near Union Square for a dinner or hangout. The seating is first come first serve, so there is no guarantee that you will get a seat when you go. The drinks take a bit to come out, so be patient, but at least you can pick up the desserts right away when you order. There isn't much table service b/c they kind of let you be once you get seated, and there is one gender neutral bathroom in the back. Space is a bit tight, but the portion of the desserts are bigger than you think so I always have a good experience sharing with friends.

Stumbled upon this little cafe this weekend. And I am very happy as they have many gluten free varieties of deserts. I even tried their mango wasabi sorbet which was pretty good, even if the name sounds so much. the gf chiffon cake was delicious. Can wait to try the moose. I did take out as the place is a little small but very homey.

Nice Japanese bakery. Came on a weekend afternoon and was seated inside within 5 minutes; staff was efficient and friendly. Got the Basil Green Apple and a seasonal passionfruit white chocolate tart. Loved the apple! Impeccably smoothly glazed, with a puff of fluffy mousse inside and good apple flavor, though basil was missing. Passionfruit tart was fine, a bit more one note.

The place was pretty full upon arrival, but I was just picking up some gifts. FYI, go straight to the cashier! I saw someone being helped at the cake counter and so waited behind her....only to have regulars go right past me and order with the cashier. I purchased 2 boxes of the mochi macarons (not my cup of tea, but enjoyed by the person I was gifting) and 3 boxes of the 10 piece cookies. The cookies were well received by everyone. Heads up on the gift boxes, they cost extra. If you say you don't want the gift box, they'll put them in white boxes that are nice too.

We came a little too close to our dinner reservation time and there were no seats available (it is tiny and cramped inside), so I couldn't order the soufflé I had been pining after (you must be seated for soufflé). This definitely colors the review and I might try to come back in the future, but I don't know. I ordered the shiso dessert and my boyfriend ordered the caramel cheesecake. We ate in the "heated" outdoor seating which was still very chilly with jackets on. Honestly, both were not worth it. The cheesecake was hard and difficult to eat with just one utensil, and just didn't taste that great. The shiso dessert was too fruity for my taste and nothing to write home about. I liked the bottom cookie crust part, but it was also hard and difficult to eat with the plastic utensils. I regret not asking if we could have just sat where we sat and waited for soufflé to be eaten there, as those seats should also count as being seated.

Finally tried this place because my friends all highly recommended it and omg I am mind blown this has definitely become one of my fave dessert places. Course 1 and 3 can be skipped, but the soufflé is worth trying! Pre-fix: Course 1- peach cream with mint foam: cream was not too sweet, solid Course 2- the star of the show: earl grey soufflé + mango wasabi sorbet: the sorbet was out of this world. Wasabi taste was very subtle, but makes the mango flavor that much better. The soufflé is definitely solid, but not my fave dessert from here Course 3: macaron, meringue, cookie; nothing special, and can probably skip Our FAVE dessert out of all the 5 we tried was the green tea tiramisu, and boy oh boy, this is literal mouthgasm perfect blend of matcha and cream (not sweet at all, and so goood!) We also god the caramel cheesecake- which was really good as well. I LOVE cheesecake, and this particular one was unique in that it has the caramel brownie on top of the cheesecake, which was interesting. Service: we sat at the bar, and the ppl working here were very nice Ambiance: cute, perfect for girl dates and catch up time! Definitely recommend this place!!

I was only here for take out wanted to try their dessert, all their pastries are really cute it was hard to decide which one to buy. I got their seasonal pear mousse and their popular basil green apple. Both of them are $11 each, a bit on the pricey side. The pear mousse is not really my liking, i think the chocolate doesn't really go well with the pear and overall it has a strange taste. The basil green apple is better but not much green apple nor basil flavor but a hint of matcha instead. The space was packed in the middle of the afternoon, it's dark and cozy a cute place to hangout have a drink and snack. Will come back to try again for dine in soon.

This place is a cute cafe to have matcha lattes and unique dessert. I had a shiso fromage blanc mousse and it wasn't too sweet which is good. The cookie at the bottom was very sweet but it goes well with the mousse.
