The family and I took advantage of the great fall weather to visit Big Spring International Park and enjoy downtown Huntsville. We decided to check out Pane E Vino Pizzeria because me and the kids love pizza and we'd never been to this restaurant. Bottom line up front: this place was great! We were promptly seated out on the patio where we could people watch and enjoy the weather. Our drinks orders were taken promptly and we decided to order a few different pizzas. My daughter and I split the 16" Clemenza. It was was delicious -- the pepperoni and italian sausage pizza was great. I particularly enjoyed the thinly cut bell peppers (usually they are a tad raw and huge - these were very thinner sliced and cooked well). If you love sauce, I'd get some pizza sauce on the side to dip crust, that was the only downsides of the meal. The wife ordered the Da Vinci pizza which I was not a fan of; why would you order a pizza and then put a salad with balsamic vinegar on top? But she loved it and thought the pizza was very fresh. My youngest daughter got the kid's cheese pizza and it was awesome. It had great cheese pull and she scarred the whole thing. This was not one of those 'kids will eat whatever' meals, this was a great pizza in its own right. We got some Tiramisu to go and it was also delicious later at home. Our server, Danielle, was awesome. She was the only server on thr outdoor patio and she was super busy taking care of seven tables but our drinks never went empty and she was VERY attentive. If only all restaurants could have servers as good as Danielle I would be much happier when eating out. The pizza was great, a little on the pricier sode but worth it. Ingredients and food were good and service was excellent. Patio view in good weather was nice. Stop by and give them a shot!

Perfect for casual dining and date nights!I ordered the Caprese salad, a glass of Pinot, and the Clemenza. The ingredients were fresh and prepared to order. The Caprese and the pizza were somewhat bland for my taste during the initial dining experience. However, my leftover pizza tasting amazing the next day which suggest the sauce may have needed to settle for awhile. Service was considerate and pricing was reasonable. An anonymous guest chose to cover my bill, which added an unexpected and genuinely thoughtful element to the evening. The restaurant’s location is noteworthy. The patio provides pleasant outdoor seating, and the proximity to the museum and surrounding park space allows for a peaceful walk after dining. The atmosphere and overall experience are well worth a visit!

Google
Food here is great! Pizzas are unique and tasty. During the summer, I would not recommend sitting outside as, even with some AC, it is pretty uncomfortable. The service here is great and timely, though. Food always comes without too long of a wait, and the staff is very polite!

Google
This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Huntsville! Three Cheese Ravioli every time. Our waitress, Abbey, was by far the most personable, cheerful, caring waitress I’ve had here. She knew the menu well, had patience with us, and picked the perfect dessert for my girls and I to share!

Google
Hankering for pizza while in town overnight. Great place and hit the spot. Solid menu options, tasty toppings, crust was spot on and great service. Highly recommend.

Google
Stopped here after spending a half day in the art museum. I had the spaghetti and meatballs which was filling and delicious. The tomato sauce was unique and almost had a hint of spice in it. The calzone was absolutely massive! Relatively decent prices for the amount of food you receive. Highly recommend trying if you’re a fan of Italian food. This restaurant is connected to the art museum and is a short elevator ride down to the plaza level.

Google
Really nice Pizzeria in the big spring park. We had mozzarella sticks, delicious, and 3 cheese raviolis and baked ziti. The service was great and the food tasty at great prices.

Google
While in town on business, I enjoyed some of the best pizza of my life here. The dough was perfect - right amount of softness, and elasticity and melt-in-your-soul flavor. And the toppings were top-quality too. Our server, Abbey, was super friendly and very thoughtful with recommendations. When we were ready to go, she even asked if we needed to fit the leftovers in a hotel fridge (I did) and offered a round container instead of a box. I am looking forward to bringing my whole family soon.

Yelp
We visited on a busy night during Tinsel Trail, and the experience was phenomenal. Despite the crowd, the staff managed to seat my party of seven by the heat almost immediately. As soon as we sat down, water was already on the table--talk about efficiency! The appetizers were exceptional. The tomato & basil bruschetta was bursting with flavor, and the Cheezy Bread was equally delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable as we waited for our entire group to arrive, with the festive backdrop of Tinsel Trail adding to the charm. The Christmas music playing in the background set a cheerful mood without being overbearing. For my main dish, I ordered a custom calzone inspired by the Georgia O'Keeffe pizza, and it was absolutely incredible! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the portion size was just right. Between the great atmosphere, attentive service, and fantastic food, this spot exceeded our expectations. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner while in town. We had a group of 13 and they gladly accommodated us. Server was knowledgeable and even suggested their favorite beverages and food items. The mozzarella sticks were crispy. The bruschetta was very fresh. The pizza was flavorful and the crust was crispy and held up nicely to the toppings that were loaded on. The restaurant was mostly empty except for us on the inside but the outside seating area was almost full and also very nice and I imagine enjoying the seasonable weather outside while dining would be enjoyable! Definitely would stop by again!

Yelp
This place is so cute and has an awesome patio that sits right on big spring park. The service was good and the food was even better! I will be going again next time I am in town!

Mikayla K.

Yelp
This is a great location- right next to the art museum and the park, downtown. We sat outside and had a pretty view of Big Spring Park. The service was pretty good. But the food was nothing to rave about. It was okay.. not bad but probably not worth it for the price.

Yelp
Hot honey wings and a Greek salad. Wings were just ok, when they're precooked, it's a crap shoot of freshness. Greek salad was the better offering. Noisy, kid friendly atmosphere. We had a group, so pulled tables together inside. Service was ok. Attitude as if they didn't need the business. Locals rave about the pizza and the ambiance of location.

Yelp
I went here with some friends since it was close to the VBC. I had been wanting to try it out for some time. Their space was cute. They have a nice outdoor patio that they enclose in the winter months. The bathrooms were a little weird to find. They were tucked back in a different area of the building. I ordered a Greek salad and a pepperoni pizza. The salad was pretty good. The pizza was fine. Nothing to wrote home about, but it was ok. Parking can be a challenge. There is street parking sometimes or you have to park somewhere else and walk.
google avatar

Alicia W.

Yelp
Yum! We were a little unsure when we couldn't find it and were told it was in the art museum, but hubby wanted a panini. We were still hesitant seeing the small space, but gave it a try. Glad we did. Highly recommend the caprese, calzone (Italian), and panini (Italian). Delicious! Everything is scratch made. Best marinara I've had in a long time.

Yelp
Great hidden spot attached to the Huntsville Museum of Art. Service was excellent with our server Lauren paying attention to every detail and making us feel welcomed. She excels at customer service and provided suggestions from the menu. The food was amazing. We had the butternut squash ravioli and chicken carbonara. She made sure that both our plates were prepared as shareable sizes. 20 out of 10!!! It was cozy and easy to talk with the noise level. If you visit, please ask for the house red wine, a must have with your pasta or pizza!

Bella M.

Yelp
Amazing venue, wonderful views of the city and walking pond, food was debonair and whimsical. Vibes were mellow and bougie 100/100 will eat here again
google avatar

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Great first visit!! Service was great, food was soooo delicious. Outdoor patio area is very nice during the fall. Definitely recommend this place!

Sue J.

Yelp
The house salad must have been sitting there for a couple of days. (Here on a Saturday for lunch). Most of the greens were rotten and the dressing only tasted of vinegar. However, the Georgia O'Keefe pizza was excellent.

Susan R.

Yelp
Rude rude manager. I think she even embarrassed her staff. Lovely view of park but way less beautiful of manager attitude. Low class snobby type. Family went there two weeks ago and recommended it to me. I brought my friend . He is very eccentric and wears thrift store clothes. We were rudely welcomed I told her we were leaving and we did. Sorry he was embarrassed. I felt sad for him

Melissa S.

Yelp
Amazing gluten free pizza!!! Excellent service! Beautiful view of the water and ducks. Overall a great experience!
google avatar

Sanjay G.

Yelp
Excellent pizza place by the von Braun center. My kids said this was the best pizza ever. The salads are good too. The ambiance is nice/modern and the service is excellent. It's an owner run restaurant or felt like it. So highly recommend. We will be here again.
google avatar

Leigh Ann S.

Yelp
We have order twice from the restaurant. Pizza is so good and fresh ingredients.. Also the Mr. Wise guy pizza is good. Highly recommend
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
Such a great place for things and stuff - love love love the ducks. If you want to enjoy very great things - and also ducks sometimes, is is the place for you!

Yelp
Best Chicken alfredo pasta in downtown Huntsville. Service was nice, nothing too fancy to remember. Ambiance is open.

Yelp
Recommended by the employee at the art museum and a short elevator ride in the same building made it seem near ideal for lunch. Ella B was our server and she was wonderful. It was nice to get decent wine with my Italian food. A glass of chilled white went down easily before the meal. That required a Chianti, which paired with the baked ziti. My server suggested extra cheese, and I was glad I asked for it. The sauce was very nice, but I prefer my pasta more al dente. It was sad that they were all out of Tiramisu in an Italian restaurant, but the cheese cake was quite nice. It was interesting that the cheesecake had little or no crust. Anyway, it was good. The ambiance was like a corner cafe and was nice. Not much more to add except it is a great accompaniment to the museum upstairs.

Alicia D.

Yelp
I came here today for lunch and at first I got a calzone but it wasn't that big at all like I thought so I send it back and order a 12" pizza it was really good. The employees were pretty nice. The inside is really small I was very surprised about that you can also sit outside if the weather is nice.

Yelp
Been a local favorite of mine for years. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great view of Big Spring Park. They have nice wines to pair with any dish! The Caprese salad is delicious and my favorite pizza is The El Greco. Definitely a great spot to have some food and booze and enjoy the park!

Maggie C.

Yelp
We had a larger group but all of the orders came out delicious. There was quite a bit of sauce on the ravioli, I wasn't the biggest fan of it but you might be. The pizza was very good, a lot of open crust with no toppings but loved the pairs on it, added a sweetness that was perfect.

Daniel Kenton H.

Yelp
Stopped for a quick dinner while visiting. Food was very tasty and fresh, particularly the calzone. Service was very good. Will.most likely go back tomorrow.
google avatar

Caroline C.

Yelp
The waitstaff at this restaurant is by far the rudest team in town. We've eaten here many times because the location is beautiful next to Big Spring Park, but we will never be back after our meal today. Our waitress didn't check on us for 30 minutes and the food took 45 minutes even though there were only a few other tables. The food wasn't hot and was honestly the poorest quality we've ever had from this place.
google avatar

Ed C.

Yelp
TERRIBLE!!! Owner literally reneged our reservation and after I question this, he literally said, "F@ck you". I was floored!!! That's no way to do business. Did I retaliate, yes!!!, I offered him the same explanative he offered me and left his crappy little dive. Certainly won't be back.
google avatar

Jenny A.

Yelp
This has always been one of my favorite places, so I wanted to take my parents for my birthday. It was so loud we couldn't hear each other so my dad asked if we could sit outside. They said those tables were for people with reservations. He told them we had a reservation. They said there was nothing they could do. We ordered an app but left as soon as we got it. Sadly, it's gone downhill from the health rating to the service. It's a shame because it's a great location.

Sophia T.

Yelp
Great food. Environment was clean and food came out quickly. Waitress was very nice however it took them a while to get to us. Overall good dining experience.
google avatar

E. B.

Yelp
The friendliness was exceptional, the service good, the ambience okay, and the pizza average.

Georgina S.

Yelp
As a busy Realtor, this is a great place to take clients for lunch. It has great food, great service, and a quiet place.
google avatar

Yelp
went to Museum yesterday and stopped here for lunch afterward. I wasn't terribly hungry so i ordered the meatball and marinara app to eat there, and also ordered the Italian Calzone to take home for supper. The meatballs were fine, but to be honest, no better than other places I've had similar dishes. In the car as I was driving home the smell of that Calzone kept calling to me (sniffing to me?). I opened the box and tore off a piece. HOLY CRAP! Best calzone I've ever had! That bread/crust was phenomenal. It was half gone before I got home. I'm eating the other half today for lunch, and even reheated it's extraordinary. I'll be back for sure, just to get another one .
google avatar

Laura J.

Yelp
Been a few times and just took a friend who came to visit from out of town. The food was delicious but the server couldn't hear us or wasn't listening and we had to repeat ourselves several times and our order came out wrong. We are not the type to send food back to the kitchen, so we ate it and it was delicious. We just asked for onions to not be on our pizza and the server either wasn't paying attention or didn't hear us when we said it and the pizza came out with onions, so it was kind of a bummer. Luckily not an allergy, just a preference. I will still go back because the food is so good and I love the ambience of the restaurant. Hoping for better service next time.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic, intimate spot. Reminds me of the establishments in the North End of Boston. Similar feel and authenticity.
google avatar

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Good cauliflower pizza crust! I couldn't taste the Hot oil really though. Would go back!
google avatar

Yelp
Ate outside and it was very refreshing with the fans etc. Such great ambience overlooking the water, fountains, ducks, etc. Pizza was really good! Servers were very nice.

Yelp
I've loved Pane e Vino for a long time, but last night was a disappointment. The food was delicious as always. But I had made a reservation for four on the patio to celebrate a friend's birthday. And I consciously chose Pane e Vino because it's a beautiful setting, great food, and a relaxed atmosphere. Despite there being very few customers, we were rushed from the beginning. Instead of taking our drink order, the server skipped right to the entrees and we had to ask if we could get a glass of wine first. Then two more pushes to take our order within minutes. Once we enjoyed our wine and were served dinner, the server brought our checks without asking if we wanted more wine or dessert. We did want dessert, so checks had to be redone. Then before we could finish dessert (and before closing time) they were rolling down the screens to signal to us and another table that it was time to hit the road. I've never felt so unwelcome. My friend who has never tried the restaurant and whose birthday we were celebrating was not impressed and won't be back. I probably won't either.

Carolee L.

Yelp
We sat outside. Service a bit slow but those are the times we're living in. The addition of ricotta on their pizza is an amazing co.pliment to pizza!!! This is several of our friends' favorite pizza place, but it just wasn't ours. The bottom of both of our pizzas was very soggy, yet the crust end very crisp. The Hefeweizen beer on special that night was awesome! Great atmosphere outside with views of the fountain & dog-friendly. Artwork displayed on the way to the bathroom shared with the adjacent facility. We will give then another try.
google avatar

Jonn K.

Yelp
Situated on the Big Spring park, it is a well-established pizza/pasta joint. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas, and the view of the pond from the outdoor patio adds to the ambience. Pizza, spaghetti, breadsticks, greek salad and a couple of glasses of cab...these are my typical menu items of choice. This is my favorite pizzeria in Huntsville.
google avatar

Theresa A.

Yelp
Very cute place! Went here for lunch with about 6 people on a Saturday. We LOVED our waiter, I wish I got his name. They seem to have a number of beers on tap and it was hard for us to decide. He must have brought us 4 samples of beer! Then he brought us the wrong beer, and said we could just keep it while he got the correct beer. Win, win. We ordered a few pizza's and a few ordered ziti. The ziti was so good, great sauce. Pizza was good, but on the sloppy side, the cheese fell off. I would definitely go back here for the service and try another
google avatar

Darrell E.

Yelp
They use fresh ingredients, the food is well prepared and the service is prompt and friendly. We had three different 12" pizzas, the baked ziti with meatballs and the greek and caesar salads. I plan to eat here again when we return to Huntsville. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the pie I ordered, the George O'Keefe, didn't have red sauce. It was essentially white with a ricotta base although it was listed with the traditional pizzas. It was well prepared just not what I expected.
google avatar

Alisa B.

Yelp
Location great, nice atmosphere. I love paninis so that's what you see here. Is there such a thing as too much cheese on pizza?
google avatar

Deidra. B.

Yelp
$16 pasta came luke warm but tasted amazing. I just wish it was pipping hot, especially since they told me fifteen mintues and I was there in ten. The biggest surprise was the price of a slice of cheesecake......$10. I was in shock when lunch for pasta and cheesecake came to $29.
google avatar

Carmen L.

Yelp
I visited here with a few friends and was not super impressed. While service was friendly, their pizza was pretty average. I had the chicken pesto pizza with red onions and tomato. It had a good taste but it didn't leave me wanting more. The crust was a bit big so more of the actual pizza would've been better. In terms of the restaurant, it's pretty small inside and they also have patio seating. During winter they have outdoor heaters but it was still a bit cold outside because the tarp doesn't seal well when it hits the ground.
google avatar

Alyssa P.

Yelp
I love the location I love the staff & I like that things are made fresh !! The seasonal cocktail does not disappoint I went for the first time a year ago for date night !& I can honestly say every time I've been for any occasion I'm still enchanted Outdoor & indoor seating ! Awesome view & the staff remembers you & treats you with kindness!

Stephan B.

Yelp
Great food. Butter Nut Ravioli best in business. Go early on weekends to beat game and theater crowds.
google avatar

Alicia J.

Yelp
Just had the Italian calzone for the first time Delicious and authentic with ricotta cheese. Crispy and the Italian meats add a spicy kick. My favorite calzone in town !
google avatar

Amanda O.

Yelp
The best pizza we have eaten in the area. Creamy mozzarella, perfect dough made fresh in house, quality toppings and a really delicous red sauce. Not sure why this place only gets an average of 3.5 stars as any other pizza around that we tried doesn't even compare. It's great and will be our go-to from now on. Also, such a nice location overlooking the park, with outdoor seating and attentive service.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
First time trying this place. It's like a hole in the wall. This place has very good pizza and pasta. Will definitely look it up again when back in town.

Lindsey G.

Yelp
Went to this place with my mom, sister and friend. They had the best pasta and pizza. The food was very good. And the service was very good.

Laura P.

Yelp
It makes me sad to say it, but this place is a crap shoot. I've been several times and have had extremely mixed experiences, but yesterday was just horrible. We waited at least half an hour AFTER ordering for our server to come out to the table and tell us that our ticket had somehow been shuffled behind a few newer tickets and would be a few minutes longer. Absolutely NOT the fault of our server, who was super lovely and apologetic. Eventually our food came out, three 12" pizzas, one cheese, one Michelangelo (just an interpretation of a traditional Margherita), and one with pepperoni and Jalapeños. I was so excited, and starving, and then...ON FIRE!! My pizza, the Michelangelo, wasn't supposed to be spicy in the least, but the sauce was on this pizza was so full of red pepper that I began to question the universe around me!! I'm not the spiciest pepper head around, but I can handle some heat. This pizza was a flaming hot bomb. I ate a slice and quit. It sucked. Clearly a kitchen mistake, but we had been there forever at that point, and I didn't want to embarrass our poor server any further, (who even offered us dessert on the house) so we boxed everything and left. Later on in the evening I doubted that it had actually been as spicy as I previously perceived it to be, so I tried again. Nope, I'm sane. This pizza was Vesuvius, and I could never have been prepared. Given the long wait times (truly the only thing consistent about Pane e Vino) and extremely hit or miss food quality, if we go back it won't be anytime soon...or by choice.

Yelp
I heard this place had really fallen off, but didn't want to believe it. Sadly, it was almost aggressively bad. Staff said new ownership has taken over in the past month, and clearly the ship is sinking.
