Best tamales north of California IMO (from a California-native who’s slacking in the travel dept). Very kind, hard worker who whipped up a breakfast burrito for my hangry spouse in no time at all and pointed me to the ATM conveniently located to assist me in additionally getting some tamales. Sooooo glad I did. Esp the chicken. Usually a pork stan, but like damn barely needed the sauce for the chicken. Also thanks for giving us two of the salsa verdes. All of this was ofc gone too quick for pics. ¡Gracias!

This is a small hole in the wall restaurant in the back of a convenient store. Food and service was amazing. Cost was a little high but worth it for the amount and quality. Cash only but there is an ATM. Probably the best Mexican food I have tried in the pnw.

Food was great, took some time to prepare but that was understandable. The place itself is good but the area around it has a lot to be desired safety wise.

This is probably the best Mexican I've had in the PNW. You can get nopales here!

This is a really tiny Mexican restaurant inside a mini mart. Cash only. It is also kinda pricey. $15-$20 dishes. I took out $40 at the ATM & it was just enough to cover 2 entrees & a beer. The food was incredible tho. Quite good. I would totally go back. Just gotta have more cash next time.

Upon arrival was greeted by one lady who works the convenience store to.. she asked what I would like and then after I said specifically the meal I wanted they gave me something completely different and cheaper than what asked for I didn’t realize until I had already walked back home with my son and I went back to try get it corrected and they were very rude saying to take my money back instead & they aren’t gonna serve me again.. I was not even given the full amount of money I payed I given $27 and received $14 instead of them just correcting the meal. Then they had the audacity to say it’s not their problem & that I’m lying on what I asked for !! Very poor service and they don’t take the time to even actually understand what you’re wanting seemed to me like they just was out to take my money and didn’t expect me to come back! When I called to speak to the owner they wanted to say had to pay extra when I had already given them all my cash for the meal and it was more than any meal on the menu… this place and staff are horrible I am Hispanic to and have never been treated this way any other restaurant been to I walked here about 2 miles away and had come all way back to not even get any food at all in the end on top of that im pregnant with my second child and they wanted to give me 4 tacos and a drink for that much when I ordered a whole plate & end up with less money given after returning the food!! I could had taken my money elsewhere but gave you guys a chance just to be disappointed. Who tells a customer after serving them the wrong meal that it’s not their problem instead of fixing it. I recommend if you want to eat here go find a different place they will serve you something don’t even want & send you off with it like it’s fine or have a attitude and give only a portion money back you paid. Instead of just fixing the order .

My pick up order was just delicious I ordered tacos of tripe, tongue, head, and asada. 2 adults an 4 kids I spent about 65 dollars great little taqueria. First time eating from here and will be coming back

The place is quaint but does not fall flat in service. Quick and with a limited but effective menu, the lady whips out tacos as fast as you'd expect after your order rolls off your tongue. Scrumptious and authentic! I ended up having 5 in all. Cash only.

Man! This place is clean and homemade food!!! Awesome chorizo and eggs best part the beans!!!!!!! This place is a must. Been here a week, I wish I would of found it sooner. Next trip coming back here to try other stuff from the menu.

Their tacos used to be good and their green salsa was very good but since the roach infestation that happened a couple years ago I haven't gone back since then and I seriously advise you don't as well. The location of the "restaurant" is shared with a store and 4-6 months ago a video surfaced showing a rat eating away at the chips in the store and hiding behind the bags. Avoid this place!

Good service fast service the only thing I believe am not sure but seems she had do everything by her self but,good services.

This place is legit Mexican food. I heard about this place from a friend, when I moved here asking for places that served micheladas. The michelada was delicious and I had tacos. 5 tacos for $7.50 (good pricing comparing other locations in Tacoma) I loved the tripas and al pastor, the lengua was good as well. But legit tripas and al pastor hard to find in the PNW. My mother in law, was visiting from Ohio and initially judged the place based on size and location, but was in love with her Chile relleno plate. This is now my Mexican spot I will send everyone to when asked

The tacos here were good. I had looked at the menu on Yelp because they did not have an online website I believe. I ended up ordering 14 carne asada and 2 carnitas tacos. I placed a phone order and it was easy, the lady told me it'll be ready in 15 minutes. The only thing about this place is, it's cash only. I'm rating this place a 3/5, because on the Yelp photos, it says tacos are $1.50/each but when I went to pick up my food, there was a different menu and I believe the tacos had went up to $2+/each. But overall, the tacos were delicious!

Amazing!! place inside a liquor store .Feeling Like Grandma home made food. It was amazing I had the Chile Verde great flavors and taste. They have a lot of Mexican choices Burritos, Chile Verde , Menudo, Posole, Steak Tacos and more. Very Clean environment, Nice waitress. They also sell Bomb Micheladas with or without Shrimp. I will definitely come back!!

You can call in early to get orders. Food is always amazing. Great customer service. The prices went up recently but the quality is great!

This place is a little different. It's inside a store that bills itself as Mexican grocery store. It's really just a convenience store. As you walk in, you turn left to find a small seating area. There's no counter or hostess. The server comes out of the kitchen to take your order. The menu is on the wall with pictures and prices. I was blown away by the sauce on my wet burrito. Way better than antojo. I thought the green to go sauce was a bit weak but the red was spicier than most. Also, there is no salsa bar. It's pretty rudementary in there. I always get my food to go. I think I'll come here for lunch and dinner; and go to antojo for breakfast burritos.

Great service! The steak tacos are good, always has a fresh taste. They should have a bell when someone comes in but the waitress tends to come out to check often. Other than that I had no problem with this place (been here like 5 times.)

Food is great. Like truly awesome. Little hole in the wall inside a mini mart. Sometimes you have to announce yourself because the staff is pretty skeleton. People outside can look sketchy (it's across from govt subsidized housing AKA the projects-but they're clean and nice enough). Cash only. ATM on site.
