Amazing. Walked in to get a coffee and everything looked so good that we ended up having a full meal at 10:45am. The butternut squash soup was transcendent. The kale green goddess salad is a must-order. And the gluten free chocolate chip cookie dipped in a hot drip coffee was the perfect dessert. Service was friendly & efficient. Will be back soon!!

We recently hosted an event at Olive & Thyme in Burbank for incoming American University freshmen, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, Matthew and his team were absolutely first class. The venue itself is warm, stylish, and welcoming — the perfect backdrop for such a special gathering. The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented, and guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed it. Most importantly, the service was flawless: attentive, friendly, and all smiles, which set the tone for a truly memorable afternoon. For the incoming students and their families, it was a meaningful way to mark the beginning of their AU journey, and for us as hosts (and proud AU parents), it was a moment we’ll never forget. Thank you to Matthew and the entire Olive & Thyme team for helping make this event such a success — you exceeded every expectation!

Google
Beautiful restaurant, the atmosphere is light and energetic. The food is good but can't say what I got was great. That's on me because I know the menu has a wide variety of options. It was hot the day I went and I wanted something light. I got the tuna salad which was good and the lemon potato salad which was not. I wanted to love it because I love lemon but it gave me lemon pie with potato chunks and my mind couldn't process. The pumpkin cookie was good and the chocolate chip cookie was AMAZING. The service was lacking.... the girl that took our order was a doll. Super helpful, friendly and kind. However, it took over thirty minutes for me to receive the tuna and potato salad. The server kept staring while my friend had received her food long before I did. We had to go request my food. The server was rude about it, as if we were the ones in the wrong. This really made me want to give the restaurant a much lower rating but I don't feel that's fair because over all it was a nice experience and I will probably return at least one more time to see if it was just a bad day for service.

Google
Olive and Thyme is what I would call a very happy, well-lit little almost French style cafe that also serves some light sandwiches, pastas, salads and other options. The large windows let the natural light which is great because it's located on a corner lot. There's a high-top bar-style seating area and also very large communal-style natural wood tables that really give the place a warm feel. As mentioned before, it's just a nice place to grab a bite, hang out, and I would also say have one of the best black iced teas I've ever had in my life. 😄

Google
I love how this place gives me the Café vibes. I tried their food and omg best! I had the Green Goddess chicken avocado plate and it is delicious! Also their matcha is amazing!

Google
Olive & Thyme is such a charming spot for breakfast or lunch! The food is always fresh and delicious, and the café has a cute, cozy atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. Perfect for a casual meal or catching up with friends, definitely a local favorite!

Ambiance was pleasant. The service was great and the food was delicious. I ate an Oreo cookie and it was amazing.

Google
Based off my first experience here… 5 ⭐️ and I’d come back for sure. Not only that, if I ever wanted to open a breakfast/ lunch spot I’d pay to consult ownership to recreate this in Seattle. The food… standard breakfast burrito: I’m used to these things being as big as your head and messy yet delicious. This one was of modest size and put together flawlessly. Egg and cheese wrapped around tater tot like potatoes, bacon and avocado. My only criticism is that the tortilla used didn’t get heated up on the skillet completely (to soften) or it’s just a stiffer flour tortilla than I prefer. That said, I’d order another one tomorrow. And the green salsa it come with is 🔥 4.5/5 ⭐️ The bacon, spinach quiche: fluffy, seasoned perfectly, dough was heavenly for real, and the sausage used was unexpected and I’m thankful. I’d eat this daily. For dinner too. 5.2/5 ⭐️ 😜 Vibe: this place felt like an indoor farmers market mixed with a high end boutique. I spent 88 before tip for burrito, quiche, avocado toast with poached egg and three juices. Ask: Can we add another type of pancake or waffle? There’s only one option today… maybe it rotates?

Yelp
This is such a cute brunch place and truly enjoyed my time with my girlfriends. I got the green goddess avocado plate. It was refreshing going through this plate and like how there is a grilled lime to compliment the whole dish. The green goddess dressing was well excuted. My friend also enjoyed their dishes. I thought their latte wasn't too special, wish they house made their syrups. I opted for the sugar free vanilla and it was ok. The prices are quite high for the portion size. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Service was really good. Plenty of free street parking around the area.

Yelp
Carne asada tacos were delicious. It had a thin crunchy shell. Carne was tender. It had a very fresh taste with pico de gallo, guacamole and pickled red onions. Tried an Oreo cookie and blueberry muffin. Probably the best muffin I ever had. Oreo cookie was perfect too. Slight crunch but chewy. Everyone there was super friendly and sweet. The staff immediately puts me in a good mood. The place is quite large. Lots of tables for 2, 4 or a picnic table for 6. The aesthetic was super clean and cute. When fully packed it is LOUD. I had to scream my conversation. NOT recommended for hard of hearing. Parking is a nightmare! There is no parking garage like I thought. I did go on Saturday, maybe it's open during the week. The restaurant is near WB. If you need ADA parking or are limited on mobility I do not recommend. Take a friend and have them drop you off.

Yelp
I'm a regular here, but this was my first time trying their side of bacon, and it was perfection! Thin-cut, perfectly cooked, crispy, and deliciously salty. I don't usually compare bacon, but this was so perfectly suited to my taste that I didn't even feel guilty eating it. Every bite was better than the last! Avocado toasts are always delicious and the perfect portion. I love both of them, highly recommend!

Yelp
Everything was amazing! The restaurant is very cute inside. Perfect place to meet a girlfriend for lunch! The food we tried and drinks were all great! *vodka pasta with fennel sausage *Chinese chicken salad *lavender latte *house lemonade *almond croissant (warmed up of course) Definitely coming back for lunch !!

Yelp
Very cute breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in Toluca Lake area! Tables are open seating and orders are placed on the register. The person on the register was very friendly and we had a great time interacting with him. Unfortunately we forgot to ask for his name. The rest of the staff were very friendly and assisting. Service was pretty fast even though it was peak lunch time. I ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs and arugula salad. I absolutely loved the bright, tangy dressing on the arugula. It highlighted the arugula really nicely. The eggs were perfectly poached and the yolk was actually very vibrant. So much so that I had to pause and comment how vibrant it was. There were also red peppers under the egg, so if it's too much of a kick, feel free to scrape some off. I also had their lemon bar and their matcha latte. Good matcha, but the lemon bar won me over. Not too sweet, good crumble, it was a great dessert for a sunny day. Would be back to try other things on the menu.

Yelp
This was an absolute out standing find! Like a step into a little Italian Market. Hope you get a chance to sit at the coffee bar for the best seat in the house. The staff were very nice and helpful. You order at the counter and sit wherever you like The food portions were not the best but the quality was amazing! I had the BLT and the sandwich definitely did not have enough bacon.
google avatar

Afi P.

Yelp
As always, I love the vibe! I got a cherry bomb muffin of some sort. I have had this before (other places) but this one was different. It literally exploded in my mouth and oozed yummy goodness! It was an experience.
google avatar

Andrew D.

Yelp
I love this place. I usually go for sweets for brunch, but the breakfast burrito caught my eye on the menu and when seeing it served to another guest. Alas, I passed on the scrumptious-looking Nutella Pancakes! The breakfast burrito had everything I love in a savory breakfast--bacon, scrambled eggs, avocado, tater tots, cheddar cheese, and a delicious green salsa! Being the condiment aficionado I am, I asked for a side of ketchup and mayo and boy did I have one of the best brunch outings in a while. 10/10. The coffee is robust and you get free refills. Win. Win all-around. Those sweet treats from the dessert case and the quiche are still calling my name, the latter looked heavenly from my friend's plate. Olive and Thyme, I'll be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Olive & Thyme is a great spot for a quick breakfast! You order at the counter and they bring your meal to your table. O & T is very clean! It also has tons of space if it's just yourself or a larger group. On my first visit, the counter staff is very friendly and the kitchen pushed out meals at a great pace. We had a vegan meal in our group. The counter entered our order correctly, but the kitchen made an error. The runner who brought our meal was made aware of the mistake and the kitchen made it right immediately! Great meals, friendly and competent staff will bring me back when I'm in town again!

Yelp
The place looks very appealing, but the food is only mediocre and overpriced. Probably won't come here again. Wait staff are excellent and super nice. I was lured in by the look in the ambience.
google avatar

Lindsay M.

Yelp
Super cute vibe! Wasn't too busy on a Saturday morning at 11AM but seemed to get busier as it got a little later. The food was served quickly & delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this bright and airy Burbank neighborhood staple. Perfect for brunch/lunch. They've got a deli section and marketplace for you to pick up some stuff to take home. Find a seat once you've placed your order at the counter and the staff brings your food to your chosen table. Everyone is really nice and they were kind to give their favorite items when I couldn't decide. Wine and beer available. Street parking only.
google avatar

Paula G.

Yelp
I have been here several times. That should tell you something. It's good - not fabulous, but good. You go to the counter to order and then go to the counter to pick up your food (unless they've changed it since last time I was there). It's a little noisy. But I've never had to wait and the service is prompt.

Laurel B.

Yelp
We really love the experience every time we go to this restaurant they always have a lot of wonderful healthy options for us and accommodating to our dietary restrictions. At times the environment can be a bit noisy, especially during peak hours just an fyi .
google avatar

Monica C.

Yelp
Fantastic restaurant to grab a quick bite to eat. Food is definitely made with quality ingredients, and lots of healthy options to choose from. Many salads, and sandwiches to choose amongst the menu. Quick service restaurant. You order at the counter, grab a seat and the wonderful wait staff delivers it to your table. The wait staff is very helpful, and quickly cleans off tables, as it does get very busy. The clean and cafe style ambiance of the restaurant is very welcoming. The salads are all very fresh tasting and made to order. Most salads are fairly large and filling. They also have some ready made deli salads that you can order from as well. Great place for groups and quick lunches.
google avatar

Gohar S.

Yelp
Olive and Thyme is an aesthetically appealing, upscale, clean, ideal brunch/lunch spot in the Toluca Lake neighborhood. Though street parking is a bit difficult during the busy rush hours. The restaurant has a lot of classic character and is maintained nicely. Their menu compliments their aesthetic as they offer many healthy options, gourmet coffees, and fresh salads. They have options in the salad bar, regular menu, as well as daily specials. It was a line when we went in, but the food came out rather quickly and it was no problem to enjoy the lavender latte's (off menu) first.
google avatar

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Ambiance is awesome and workers joked around with us which is always awesome. The inside is super cute and food was delish - LA prices are always a bit on the more expensive side tho

Meri M.

Yelp
I love the place. Very cozy, cute and family friendly. Food is good. They have very unique items in the shop.
google avatar

Dezi E.

Yelp
Sadly for the 3time, I was over charged for my meal. My guest and I each ordered a breakfast item, and separately lattes, but charged additionally for "meal with Coffee". This maybe only be approximately $5 more for each coffee. but plus tax and gratuity, when breakfasts are $60 for 2 ppl, it appears to be more of a scam to take advantage of guests living w healthy incomes in this business neighbood. Sadly, I drive in about an hour every other week to take meetings and don't occupy myself to check the itemized bill til i leave. The hours open early, food is pretty, the environment clean, service friendly. But this is the 3rd time I was slyly over charged. I'll take my business to SWEET BUTTER or AEIRLOOM BAKERY instead where I can trust the billing.
google avatar

Lulu F.

Yelp
Great spot to meet up with friends or family. The environment is welcoming and the staff offer wonderful service. The food is overpriced and menu was limited. Nothing too special.
google avatar

C S.

Yelp
Really cute brunch place. It's modern, clean, cute. Food is fine, nothing remarkable. But it's good to go there and chat. You come up to the counter to order and they just bring the food to you.
google avatar

Natalie M.

Yelp
Great spot for lunch. Validated parking under the building. You place your order at the counter, and they give you a number. Find a table (we thought it was going to be difficult but turnover was quick) and the food is delivered. There are seats inside, and a small patio also. The avocado toast was delicious! The eggs were perfectly poached and runny. Bright orange yolks and creamy ripe avocado with chili flakes on toasted sourdough. Plus an arugula side salad. My husband had the short rib sandwich with horseradish aioli and was in heaven. Others had Cobb salads, and a turkey pesto sandwich. Everyone was very happy with the food. The only sort of let down were the fries. They looked super crunchy, but they actually weren't too crisp. They did taste good though. It's really cute inside too. Lots of items for sale, like cookbooks, candles, gourmet food items, etc. They also have baked goods. My 12 year old cousin was over the moon at his giant Nutella stuffed croissant. Everyone who works there is so nice! Like, extremely friendly and attentive. It was a pleasure dining there.

Anna K.

Yelp
Where do I start?! This place has one of kind vibe with absolutely delicious food, amazing service. It is a truly unique spot, however, what my girlfriends and I were impressed by goes beyond that!!! We had a pleasure of meeting Milena, the owner, (I hope I am spelling her name correct ) during our lunch today. She was walking from table to table asking about the service received. We gladly gave her our feedback and we immediately recognized the reason why Olive & Thyme is so special. Her genuine interest in our feedback, how she thinks and runs the place from the quality of the food to the cleanliness, the service and the hospitality was beyond anything I have ever seen before! Milena is an epitome of customer service and the human aspect behind that was even more commendable. Bravo Milena! Anna Anna Liana Nune

Yelp
This is my favorite place by the office but for the first time l am severely disappointed when I got back to my office and I basically paid for a $22 (w/tax and tip) lettuce sandwich w/tuna on the side. Don't know if they caved in to shrink flation but they used to be very generous with the tuna salad but this is unacceptable for that price. This is the last time I'm ordering this or even come here.
google avatar

Joseph C.

Yelp
Had brunch here with my wife, our first time visiting. The inside is super cute. Unfortunately the food experience was less than expected. My wife ordered the breakfast bagel sandwich which is described as egg, sausage, cream cheese , and yellow cheddar. What came was egg, cream cheese, tomato, and avocado. I ordered the egg white scramble with gluten free bread (+$3) as I have a significant gluten allergy. Regular bread was given and I'm glad I asked to confirm because that would have literally wrecked my day. They gave me a fresh plate and my wife sausage on the side but those are significant order issues. The food allergy in particular needs to taken seriously. Once the order was fixed, the food was good.
google avatar

Ramy H.

Yelp
In short: food is delicious but pricey, restaurant is clean, seating is hmmm fine... I will come again! Olive and thyme is an order at the counter & sit style of restaurant. Friendly staff will bring the food to your table when it's ready. Only complaint with this style is it's hard to determine tip up front when you haven't had any interaction besides with the (hit or miss) cashier. I'd describe the seating ambience as.. let's say farmhouse? Well nicer than a farm house. Very Clean tables and chairs but they are wooden and feel a bit cheap. There are a couple very large tables and a picnic bench as well so there's plenty of seating for large parties. Forks, knives, and napkins are already in a basket at the table with enough for at least 3 turnovers (take that as you wish). If you're like me, food is what you really judge on. And overall the food is great but pricey for the quantity. You get your moneys worth in quality though! They have a full coffee bar which is perfect with pairing breakfast with a delicious latte or cap it off with espresso if you prefer. I've had both breakfast and lunch here and either way, you can't go wrong! Breakfast brioche sandwich has a beautifully thick and buttery toasted brioche with an over medium egg, cheese, perfect bacon, and one of the best aiolis I've had. Breakfast burrito is very flavorful, great mix of ingredients, but a bit on the smaller side for the price. For lunch the BAT is my go too. Very fresh ingredients of heirloom tomatoes, aioli, avocado, and bacon! Love it. Get the side of fries too. Check their hours as they don't work for everyone and go give them a try!

Yelp
Definitely one of my "go to" spots in Toluca lake! Love this place over and over...the food here is superb. From the salads to the sandwiches to breakfast. Matching innovation with comfort...while feeling familiar at the same time. We had ten avocado toast this time with the poached egg, hot honey and a bunch of other deliciousness! The coffee is excellent. I really like this chicken salad and the hummus is great. The decor is super fun and cool... very French with some LA mixed in for accents. Ima huge fan of the sweets as well...baked goods are crazy good. The service is always friendly and hip..making you feel like you belong.

Lexma C.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Salad was so creamy and great flavor. Watermelon Agua Fresca was perfect

Yelp
I've waited a few years. BUT ITS BACK!! Friday night Burger night is back!! Usually a choice of 3 burgers, and different every week. Staff is awesome and the food is amazing! I'll be back every Friday!!! ... Also, deserts are great too haha! See yall Fridays!!!

Yelp
This is an adorable place that I wish I had tried earlier. The restaurant exudes a welcoming atmosphere with its spacious layout and abundant natural light streaming in through large windows. The personalized decorations add a special touch, making it a perfect setting for my book club meet up with friends. I wish they offered more options for substituting pork in their breakfast burritos. Although the burrito was delicious without any meat, it could have been even better with additional choices. As a Muslim, I always appreciate when breakfast places cater to dietary restrictions, so I hope they consider adding more options in the future. The mocha was smooth and delicious and I would definitely return for that again. The only regret I have is not saving room for all the wonderful pastries that were there. Can't wait to return to try the other items.
google avatar

Dennis T.

Yelp
I'm not usually a brunch/sandwich spot kind of person, but the sandwiches they have here are tops. They get the "bread - greens - protein" ratio just right in my opinion. I usually get the spicy chicken sandwich but I got the tuna this time around and it was great. The service is always good here too - the staff are always so welcoming and friendly.
google avatar

Reveka G.

Yelp
What an adorable cafe! Love the French inspired decor and all the goodies to peruse. I found the menu to be limiting, given my dietary goals, and opted for the shredded chicken omelet with spinach and a matcha latte. Both were good. Cashier was hilarious and did a great job of putting smiles on faces. And, clean up was swift and friendly. This place would be perfect if they had more healthy/lighter options and some music for ambiance. Will definitely return, though.

Meera S.

Yelp
Had a delightful experience at Olive & Thyme during the holiday week leading up to Christmas and New Years! Not sure if it was the holiday spirit or what but the restaurant staff were all extra nice and chirpy. We came by for a weekend lunch and were able to find a table pretty quickly. The interior is cute and local neighborhood-y type with high ceilings that made it feely airy and spacious. Glossed over the menu before we hopped to the register to order our meals of choice. I opted for the Asian chicken salad to keep things light and healthy. The salad was mediocre - the portion size was small with minimal chicken - nothing special to this item. What helped was that an employee dropped by and gave our group a free oreo cookie and some holiday chocolates. 'Tis the season for giving! The ambiance and service were on point, the food portions are a bit on the smaller size. Nonetheless, Olive & Thyme treated us well.
google avatar

Alex P.

Yelp
Very cute spot! I had time until my appointment and came across this. I hadn't been here before but great find. They were busy but fast and efficient. I didn't get to try their food, but will be back for it. I had the iced vanilla latte and it was good. Not the best, but good. It was too milky for my taste, I do wish the coffee was a bit stronger. I'll be asking for an extra shot next time. I recommend trying it!

Diana S.

Yelp
The food was incredible, but Lorena's service was the best. She makes the restaurant experience unforgettable.
google avatar

Asia C.

Yelp
Another day another olive and thyme takeout order. The Salmon Miso Bowl was definitely a lot better than the first thing I ordered. The salmon didn't have much flavor, the sauce saved it. There was an obscene amount of rice so if you want this to be a filling meal then it will be. Perhaps one of these days I'll sit in to have a better review of the service and ambiance of the place but I will say again it's definitely a cute vibe so I'd eat in if you can!

Jose P.

Yelp
I go here for our lunchtime. It is also busy. The food is great ans a good customer service. I wish they could stay up late. Waitersers are soooo nice
google avatar

Hannah H.

Yelp
10/10 food and service every single time. Love Olive & Thyme and will always be back!!
google avatar

Dylan 7.

Yelp
Wonderful staff - so kind and go above and beyond. The interior is open, cozy, and intentional. The line to place your order runs smoothly and efficiently. Feels cozy and warm while also fresh and new. My dad says the grilled cheese is revolutionary and we went back just for that. I am a big fan of the avocado toast and the arugula with lemon vinaigrette on the side is simple yet fresh and light. A great place to stop in for a quick bite!!
google avatar

Kiki T.

Yelp
Hi!! Actually the taste of the food is totally 5 Stars!! But dang it's so pricey!! My Avocado & Barrata Toast $18!!!! But fortunately it was filling and tasted great!!! I only did Take Out...and I phoned in my order 45 minutes prior to picking this up and I told the person on the phone it will be for 12:30pm pickup, and when I arrived, I was told 2 more minutes, apparently I ended up waiting additional 10 minutes, while I see people picking up their food and go. I had to remind the guy that rang me up, about my food!!! So, I have NO Comment on the service because it can be a fluke on my service today, but I was definitely not happy with it. Inside the restaurant was nice a bright. Because I work near here, so I walked. I think parking may be hard, or you can park in the garage next door.
google avatar

Erika L.

Yelp
Is it crowded? Yes. Is it loud? Yes. Is it an absolute treat? YES. Tips: There is validated parking at the structure on N Kenwood St. Be sure to present your ticket when purchasing a meal for validation.
google avatar

Reyna L.

Yelp
Service was great , staff was very kind and patient ! The place is so pretty and clean . The food was delicious just pricey lol but I guess it's the location . Over all nice place and will go again !
google avatar

Sofia P.

Yelp
Some of my favorite salads in LA honestly. Sitting inside feels a lot like being inside of a mini Joan's on Third, and it can be a bit loud. Sitting outside is lovely. They also have a parking lot around back.
google avatar

Kim D.

Yelp
I haven't been back in years, but I recently came and I still had a good time here. I came for brunch with my family and thought the food was good for the price. It's your standard cafe. Nothing really blew me away. The staff are so friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Joan

Yelp
We ordered the rigatoni sausage pasta, brioche sandwich, and breakfast burrito. We also had the banana Nutella pancakes, maple cold foam matcha-cano, and crème brûlée latte. The standout items are the rigatoni pasta, breakfast burrito (though it's small for the price) and maple cold foam matcha-cano. The vibe is nice, but it can be loud inside. Service was nice, they are all helpful.
google avatar

Eydie R.

Yelp
This was just a walk across the street from where we were staying, and it's obviously the place to be for lunch. It's very loud inside and crammed with people talking and laughing and having a good time, which makes you want to run for the hills, but we stuck it out and waited in line to order for 25 minutes. Surprisingly, the service was great, and the food was amazing, and I get why it's a hot spot for lunch. Last words, if you're ever nearby, please go check it out.
google avatar

Caroline K.

Yelp
Wonderful lunch spot! Such a cute atmosphere inside and it's in a great, central location. The items are a bit pricey but you get a lot. The food tastes fresh and high quality. The employees were incredibly kind and gave us amazing service! I really loved eating here.
google avatar

Gaukhar R.

Yelp
Ambience was perfect! Food was okay, but what I didn't like that it's hard to find parking spot and very loud music so you can not to talk or hear anything there. But inside of the place very cute and nice they sell nice stuff
