The 22 Best Bakeries in NYC - New York - The Infatuation

"You’ll find the best (and possibly only) sourdough milk bread in all five boroughs at this elevator-sized bakery in Carroll Gardens. It’s chewy, spongy, and slightly sweet, and like everything else here, you might feel compelled to show it off to someone on the street after picking up a loaf. ACQ Bread Co. is open Friday and Saturday from 4-7pm, and it’s worth planning ahead to pick up some sourdough loaves, milk bread, a fermented rye cookie, and homemade jam." - willa moore, will hartman, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah

ACQ Bread Co - Review - Carroll Gardens - New York - The Infatuation

"After picking up some sourdough milk bread at ACQ Bread Co., you might feel compelled to show it off to someone on the street, or brag about it to a group of your bread-loving friends. We know that sounds strange, but once you try your first bite of the chewy, spongy, slightly sweet loaf, you’ll know exactly what we mean. ACQ Bread Co. is an elevator-sized bakery in Carroll Gardens, and you could walk right by it, if it wasn’t for the hand-painted menu on an easel out front, and the smell of sourdough, and ginger miso cookies. They’re only open Friday and Saturday, from 4-7pm, but find time to swing by for that milk bread or a sourdough boule, a few cookies, and some homemade jam." - Willa Moore

CSA Local Roots Is Opening a Carroll Gardens Market and Cafe | Eater NY

"I note that ACQ Bread is a nearby bakery focused on food security that also uses artist raffles for mutual aid fundraising, and their loaves will be available at the Market and Cafe." - Emma Orlow

A List of New Restaurants That Opened in New York City, November 2020 | Eater NY

"I noted baker Tyler Lee Steinbrenner’s Brooklyn bakery features a couple of rotating loaves—like a sourdough made from a starter nurtured from young pine-cones from outside Tokyo—and a milk bread with a custardy interior, with pre-orders and a bread CSA encouraged." - Eater Staff

The milk bread. Is. Unreal. Tbh I can't buy it anymore because I eat the whole loaf in two days by myself. The texture and flavor is unparalleled. Nuts and seeds rye loaf is also amazing, prob my favorite dense, seedy rugbrod-esque bread (yes better than Mel - but also I'm not schlepping to Carroll Gardens on a weekly basis, so I just dream about it). Hot tip is that you can buy their milk bread and sourdough at Dimes Market if you don't live in Brooklyn
