Daniel et Denise Créqui - Bouchon Lyonnais

We didn’t make any reservation beforehand and was soooo lucky to get a table when we walk in. The lady (probably the restaurant manager in charge) was so kind to give us a table, although we had to finish within an hour (give and take 😊). The food was absolutely impressive. We ordered what was recommended and we loved it! The beef was also cooked to perfection that I kept screaming in my heart each time I take a bite. The staff were all so attentive and friendly too! Love this restaurant.

Completely obsessed with both the service and the food by far the best we experienced in France. Forget any restaurant in Paris where you have to work hard just to get average service. Here we were treated beautifully from start to finish and ate the best food of our lives. Do not miss the quenelle de brochet and the pate en croute🌟🌟🌟

Food is delicious. The restaurant vibe is French bistro type, classic and cozy. Need reservations for sure during weekends. Entrees (both pate en croute & mushroom eggs) were delicious. For the main dish, pork belly was good but the beef shoulder was a bit dry.

A bouchon I can highly recommend and would visit again. All the lyonnas classic and some interesting seasonal dishes. Make sure to make a reservation

One of the best meals we had eaten during our adventures in France, not just Lyon. Highlights were the white asparagus, the cervelle de veau, and the quenelle.

I have absolutely no words for this... We went there a few months ago and waiting for about 30ish minutes even with a reservation. The wait was absolutely worth it! We were 2 people and had been eating our way around Lyon. We opted to just have a main course that already comes with an incredible Mac and Cheese like dish as well as some incredibly crispy roasted potatoes. I saw someone having the lamb and instantly knew that that's what I wanted. It's meant to feed 2 people, but between that and the side dishes, it could honestly have fed 3 people... The lamb fell apart. It was tender, flavourful, succulent and just mind-blowing in my opinion... One the the owners walked in and asked if we were having a good time. I froze, looked her dead in the eyes and said: "I think I could cry right now". She gave me a pat on the shoulder and we laughed about how food can make people feel. I genuinely recommend you give it a try if you're in town.

The daily special I ordered was truly exceptional and easily one of the best meals I have had in Lyon. It showcased fresh, seasonal ingredients from the region, and the braised veal with wild mushrooms was absolutely unforgettable. Every bite felt perfectly balanced, and I know I will return the next time I am in Lyon. I found the staff outstanding. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, and they took the time to translate the chalkboard specials for me. I also loved the restaurant itself. It is small and beautifully designed, with a cozy, intimate atmosphere that made the whole experience even more memorable. It is the kind of place that I will remember forever.

We were late to the reservation, and was in a hurry to the train. However , everyone in the restaurant was extremely nice and friendly, providing high quality food. It’s really been a pleasure dining at Daniel et Denise!
