Daniel et Denise Créqui - Bouchon Lyonnais

We didn’t make any reservation beforehand and was soooo lucky to get a table when we walk in. The lady (probably the restaurant manager in charge) was so kind to give us a table, although we had to finish within an hour (give and take 😊). The food was absolutely impressive. We ordered what was recommended and we loved it! The beef was also cooked to perfection that I kept screaming in my heart each time I take a bite. The staff were all so attentive and friendly too! Love this restaurant.

Oh là là, as the french would say...what an experience! I didn't have a reservation, but thank god someone cancelled theirs, because let me tell you something. WHAT A MEAL! I don't even knwo what I had in there. It wasn't food, it was an experience. As a starter I had the "Nos trois salades lyonnaises", just amazing. For the meal all I could understand was hunting and hare, but let me tell you, the food spoke for itself. The meat was tender, well prepared with a sauce that made my tongue tickle, with some potatoes a small plate of fresh lettuce and some penne in bechamel sauce. A fantastic meal. A to cap it all off, a nice and full of flavors, café gourmand. If you're ever in Lyon, gobto Deniel et Denise and you will not be disappointed.

One of the best meals we had eaten during our adventures in France, not just Lyon. Highlights were the white asparagus, the cervelle de veau, and the quenelle.

5-star experience in Lyon! The atmosphere is welcoming, service attentive, and the food outstanding. The poultry with morels is simply unforgettable — rich, flavorful, and a true must-try dish. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Lyon.

I have absolutely no words for this... We went there a few months ago and waiting for about 30ish minutes even with a reservation. The wait was absolutely worth it! We were 2 people and had been eating our way around Lyon. We opted to just have a main course that already comes with an incredible Mac and Cheese like dish as well as some incredibly crispy roasted potatoes. I saw someone having the lamb and instantly knew that that's what I wanted. It's meant to feed 2 people, but between that and the side dishes, it could honestly have fed 3 people... The lamb fell apart. It was tender, flavourful, succulent and just mind-blowing in my opinion... One the the owners walked in and asked if we were having a good time. I froze, looked her dead in the eyes and said: "I think I could cry right now". She gave me a pat on the shoulder and we laughed about how food can make people feel. I genuinely recommend you give it a try if you're in town.

We were late to the reservation, and was in a hurry to the train. However , everyone in the restaurant was extremely nice and friendly, providing high quality food. It’s really been a pleasure dining at Daniel et Denise!

The daily special I ordered was truly exceptional and easily one of the best meals I have had in Lyon. It showcased fresh, seasonal ingredients from the region, and the braised veal with wild mushrooms was absolutely unforgettable. Every bite felt perfectly balanced, and I know I will return the next time I am in Lyon. I found the staff outstanding. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, and they took the time to translate the chalkboard specials for me. I also loved the restaurant itself. It is small and beautifully designed, with a cozy, intimate atmosphere that made the whole experience even more memorable. It is the kind of place that I will remember forever.

Michelin star rated restaurant. The food was very delicacy, and high quality. The location was in the center of the old town. The staff are very attentive and friendly.
