Google
This is truly the best brewery experience in Colorado! As locals, we come here all the time and it’s our go-to place to bring people from out of town. Their beer, food trucks, location, views, dog-friendly outdoor space, and events calendar is all amazing. We recently booked the Terminus Room for our baby shower, and it was the perfect event! Very reasonable pricing, they allow you to bring in your own food, and the team (especially Rachel) is absolutely amazing!! If you need a sign, this is it to book your event here 😊

Google
Fantastic brewery and location. Many options on seating. Beer is good. Kid and dog friendly. Great hike / bike ride starts behind the brewery. Different food truck options each time we’ve been. Can get crowded and parking on street may require a bit of a walk.

Google
Atmosphere here is great. Food is amazing. Outdoor and indoor seating are great. The view of the mountains is beautiful and it gives direct access to hiking and walking trails. Family oriented environment. Wide selection of beers with gluten free options. The food trucks on site are legit and the food is delicious and filling.

Google
One of my faves. Solid beer. Friendly staff. They always have tasty food trucks. Dog friendly with an awesome dog park close by, as well as a walking/bike trail. Keep making those award-winning brews!

Google
Great location for a cold beverage after coming off a hike, bike or run on table mesa or Golden. Also a great pre-game spot for Red Rocks shows! Good beer selection and plenty of room outside.

Antonio J

Google
Beyond the nice craft beer selection, the strong outdoor community vibe here is undeniable. Knowing there's a trail starting practically at their doorstep, the name "New Terrain" makes perfect sense and really reflects the brewery's location.

Google

Google
Great brewery in Golden with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. This is my second visit and it just keeps getting better. The food trucks were great. We enjoyed our Mexican tacos and salad, and of course the beer! If you can, sit outside the view is stunning and on some days they have lovely music.

Yelp
Terrific brewery tucked away near a lot of outdoors! This weekend we originally stopped by another brewery, but realized it was a football day (we're not sports people) and everyone was glued to the TV in their jerseys. My husband bet me that New Terrain is outdoors-ier and wouldn't have TVs/sports on - I was pleasantly surprised he was right. They have no TVs at all! This place was hopping - definitely plenty of dogs (yay) and kids (less yay). We thankfully didn't have to wait in line to get a drink - I asked for a sip of one of their sours and the beertender gave me a sip of an additional one without asking, which was nice. I went with my original one which said it was like an apple pie kinda thing (I tasted no apples or whatnot, but it was a nice mild sour). My husband got a flight which came with some good-sized samples. It was a beautiful and super warm November day so we got a spot outside in the sun - I think I got a sun tan! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and a large parking lot (with plenty of people parking on the street too). Vibes were good and dogs were friendly!

Yelp
We enjoyed our afternoon here! It was our final day of our trip and we wanted a spot our group of 6 could post up for a while to hang out and plan our next trip. This worked out great. SPACE This is a huuuuge space with lots of indoor seating, a fireplace inside, and tonssss of outdoor seating with a live music stage. We found a picnic table a bit further away from the main area that was quieter. Note that dogs and kids are allowed here so it can get pretty busy and loud! There is a dog park right next to it. So many cute pups to look at! The wifi here didn't work at all for us - note that if you're looking to use wifi here. DRINKS They had a variety of beers, as well as a few NA/GF options: a GF beer, a seltzer, kombucha, and nitro cold brew coffee. SERVICE This was our only meh moment - our beertender was quite brusk and gruff. He scoffed at us asking for ice in our cold brew coffee. FOOD They had two food trucks onsite when we visited: a crock pot theme, and a wood fired pizza. Our table got a wood fired pizza to split and they loved it.

Yelp
Great for locals and out of towners alike! I remember back in the day when they started introducing food trucks and then expanded the outdoor seating a'la COVID. Then to make it even better added more beers and even sodas! I swear every time I return there is always something new. Staff has always been excellent, down to earth and so welcoming! I love the name, logo and everything the brewery encompasses. It's situated next a riding and hiking trail too. Elevation doesn't look that bad either. New Terrain Brewing is good for a solo run and even with a group too. Everyone including our puppies are bound to have a great time!

Yelp
Lovely brewery that happened to have an outdoor gear pop up the day we went. It was a great space with many tables inside and outside, including a lovely fire place inside. The beer selection was expansive and about half were great. There were also some unique fun flavors and lots had awards. The beer flight trees were also fun!
google avatar

Becky J.

Yelp
A fantastic place to hang out with friends while enjoying a great Beer! Service is always top notch and they usually have food trucks. This is our favorite brewery with the best views in Golden!
google avatar

Erick D.

Yelp
Beautiful space that makes good beers. Cool vibes and customers. Just a chill place to grab a pint and potentially eat an amazing food truck. Tonight J Street was there and they make killer food.

Yelp
Although I'm not much of a beer drinker, I enjoyed my visit here with discerning friends. We sat on the patio on a perfect autumn afternoon, admiring the views and ambiance. Good vibe all around. Flights are served most attractively on a spiral holder. There are many brews to choose from. We didn't try any food, but what we saw on other tables was enticing. I hope to visit again--especially when baby goats are present.

Yelp
Located in Golden, New Terrain gives an option for beers that do not belong to the Coors family. New Terrain was listed on Westword's 100 Bars for 2025. The place is spacious, with lots of indoor and outdoor seating options. It is dog friendly and many chose to bring their little ones as well. As summer approaches, may I suggest ordering at the Front Porch for faster service before entering into the main building as there is a queue line for beer in the main hall. I had a small taster of a recommended beer by the staff. As I am not a beer drinker, I could not tell you what it was, but it does taste better than many of its competitor's beers in Golden. New Terrain is a very happening place so go early and hold a spot for your party. As I mentioned before, lots of people, dogs, and kids with very limited parking.
google avatar

Yelp
If you need a quick getaway from Denver, this is the place! Beautiful views + It's huge! There is ample parking. The inside of the taproom has plenty of seating. The patio area is a vibe! Sometimes they have live music going which is really nice. They had multiple good trucks set up! We loved getting some fun treats to go with the tasty drinks. There is so many drink options and the bartenders were very friendly. Can't wait to come back soon!
google avatar

Jessi S.

Yelp
Huge spot with unlimited seats! We got a corner table so we wouldn't be bothered with our friends dog. Not the best views, but well spaced out from other guests. Their beers were also some of the best we had in Denver.
google avatar

Yelp
Everytime I fly to Denver, Co I must stop in New Terrain in Golden, co VIBES enjoy, staff rock, ambiance inviting, comfortable, food trucks everyday, Haitian truck definitely a try!

Yelp
Very cool brewery. It has private parking but it was packed even on the road, and I got there around 5:30pm on a Wednesday! Beautiful place, inside/outdoor seating areas. Lots of beers to choose from. I got the hazy, it was delicious. They don't serve food but they did have a food truck available when we got there. It was bbq, it was just ok. Overall cool place with a great view!
google avatar

Edie A.

Yelp
If you don't mind a crowd and many children running around, this brewery is for you. New Terrain has many beer options. Tip: On crowded days, to skip the beer queue (yes, just like Disneyland rides), go to the Front Porch bar to the right of the main hall. Fast and friendly service. I tried the raspberry wit, Rubus Delciousus. It was tart and refreshing, as advertised. Our taproom wanderer shared this beer was the Suntrip with raspberry added. It is a dog-friendly place with food trucks if you plan on taking in all the action. Lots to see. There was a baby shower for a dad on my visit.

Yelp
Our first brewery stop on our road trip to Denver! Although the place was busy and a full parking lot, we were able to find a spot outside (they have light misters that help keep you cool), and the lines moved quickly. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The beer was fresh, cold and they had a wide variety, including seltzers. The Hoppatropica IPA was my absolute favorite and I just had to take a four pack to go. Not overly hoppy, nice fruity finish and did not leave a bad aftertaste as some IPA's often do. There were two food trucks on site; we went with the one offering bowls, your choice of protein and a sauce. The portion was plentiful and it paired with the beer well. Lastly, the merch was perhaps some of the best of any brewery I've been to.

Yelp
What's not to like about this place?? First, I love all various seating options- inside and outside. We opted for outside because the weather was amazing! Second, I'm not an avid beer drinker so I love they offer a flight and let you choose what's in your flight- genius!! Third, they have yummy food trucks for when your second beer kicks in and you get hungry! The service was genuinely fantastic! I asked for suggestions and was given several along with descriptions. Honestly such a fun place to be!
google avatar

Barbara S.

Yelp
This place is so cute, and so big! If the parking lot is full, don't sweat it because there is plenty of seating. When I got there, the parking lot was full, and there were a plethora of cars parked along the road. The beer here is fairly inexpensive in my opinion compared to other breweries I've been to. However, I think the food trucks are a bit overpriced. This place is also very dog friendly, with them being placed right next to a spacious dog park!
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Granola vibes through and through. On a peak summer day, mountain bikes line the railing, dogs galore are exhausted from the adjoining dog park, unobstructed views of table top mountain and Golden hills (plus Denver city peakaboo views from the parking lot on clear days), and you're sipping beer while waiting for a table to free up. Nothing beats the atmosphere at New Terrain. Super dog-friendly. Thursdays are for live music. They always have food trucks lined up so check the website for what's on deck. The seasonal beers are super intensive. Autumn showcases an Oktoberfest beer (of course) and a real funky Punk Masala pumpkin beer. Lactose sours are routinely circulatory in the summer. Please NEVER get rid of Walk in the Parfait please!
google avatar

Marcel M.

Yelp
I loved this brewery up near the mountains. The beer was great, they had amazing food trucks and great live music. Awesome place to watch the sun set over the Rockies.
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
Second time to try to get a drink here...first time to succeed. Even without live bands playing, they were packed at 1:00 on a Saturday afternoon. Definitely a great spot for people watching. After taking a few passes, we found an outdoor table with an umbrella. We took our seats and enjoyed a few beers each. My wife started with the Up and About coffee stout, which I didn't care for, and I had the Rambler Amber Ale. From there, my wife had the Amber, while I went with the Mexican Lager. I also tasted and liked the Key Largo key lime kolsch. I would definitely get the Kolsch, Mexican Lager, or Amber on future visits. Tons of people and dogs on parade. I'm sure we'll be back at some point when we're in Golden again.
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of the many breweries we hit up while visiting Colorado. We went here to grab a beer before heading up the mountain (which we didn't get to do because it was raining). We walked in and the place was packed! Which is a great thing, we knew it would be good. The set up was great. Easy access to the bar to grab your drinks. I tried two beers in the lighter side. We also grabbed food from one of the food trucks outside ( the Mexican one) and it was delicious! It was a little hard to get a table because there were so many people but we snagged one. They had a ton of tables outside too. There was a band playing outside even during the rain which I loved because it didn't stop anyone from having fun.
google avatar

Nisheet G.

Yelp
There is an incredible variety of breweries in the Denver area. We were looking for something a bit more outside the Denver metro and came across New Terrain. Here are my ratings: Quality of drinks: good. Their IPAs were on par with a brewery that knows how to make beers. Décor: pretty neat. The vibe of this place is probably the main reason to come here. They have a wide open area outside with beautiful views of cliffs and the Denver downtown. Cleanliness: good. The tables and the general areas were being kept cleaned. Service: good. We were met with a smile and the person behind the bar explained which beers fit our drinking style. Price: medium. The beers were around $7-$9 which is a typical price these days. If you're in the mood for something different with a bit more space and views then checkout New Terrain.

Yelp
my fav brewery in the entire state Ambiance is unmatched Beers are awesome Food trucks are awesome too Trail attached is great in the spring and summer Love sitting inside / outside Great spot for a sunset

Chris M.

Yelp
Very cool spot. Great beer garden, good variety of food trucks and most importantly tasty brews! Friendly bar staff, nice location with views of the Golden, CO mesas.

Yelp
Take all my money, take all my stars! We live about 10 minutes away in the suburb and it's nice having a consistent brewery away from all the monotony. We've had new terrain for a while now so I decided to stop in for a quick drink. Turns out beer isn't the only thing that blew me away. The crepe food truck was stellar, the service was prompt and friendly, and the outdoor venue was laid back with a great stage (which I need to come back for once a show is happening). Not to mention extra points for all the vibes and all The views. I kept losing my concentration looking out onto the Mesa and the mountains surrounding where I was sitting. On to the beer. It was my first time and they have a large menu so the idea of offering 5oz pours was very appealing to me. I went with the Tow Rope which was a porter with a bit of a kick to it since it incorporated a coffee flavor. I also ordered the Chai Groove cream ale. This one was the winner. With a large menu, amazing views and a great venue how can you go wrong? I'll be coming back frequently!
google avatar

Janelle M.

Yelp
This place was great! We went while a festival was going on over the weekend so parking was crazy & the brewery was hopping! We ended up parking by the dog park since we were bringing our dogs there 1st anyways. One thing to note... We saw people in the dog park with beer so we took turns getting beer & bringing it back to the dog park. Well, a nark ratted us out. Someone from the brewery came over & said "the city called" & we aren't allowed to bring tap beer from the brewery but we CAN bring cans from the brewery & drink it in the park. Weird rule but now we know. At the brewery you can sit pretty much anywhere outside with your dogs. I don't remember there being much shade outside though. Another thing to note with the Dog park is that the majority of the ground is mulch, it's nicely shaded with a lot of trees & water runs through it so the dogs can cool off.

Yelp
Love coming to New Terrain for a beer! We were actually with friends for their wedding tasting and they have been looking for a rehearsal dinner spot in Golden and I suggested this place so we went to look at the event space room and grab a beer. I hope it works out because I would love to come here for a rehearsal dinner! Sounds like you can bring in your own food for an event and the rental fee is very reasonable. As usual, the brewery was packed. It was a 60 degree day in January so makes sense! We ended up outside at a table. I got two 5 ounce pours to try - the porter was a little too roasted tasting to me, but the black currant sour was delicious (love their sours here). I like how they had such a big lineup of events in the bathroom - snapped a picture of one "caramelized beer night" don't even know what that is but sounds fun!
google avatar

Courtney F.

Yelp
We were coming into town from all over and this was our first stop to all meet up. It did not disappoint. Huge location with tons of seating. Their patio is fantastic. Beer line was always quick and they had really cool flights. They also had beers for everyone, every style and type. It was awesome. Their taco truck was perfect and super quick. Great experience, if we lived here we would be regulars.
google avatar

Alisa J.

Yelp
Giant building with good outdoor and indoor seating options. Super crowded every time I've been though with long lines for the bar. Parking lot gets full so sometimes parking on the road and walking up is inevitable. Great views and beer varieties though. No food, but there is a food truck option. Has a stage with live music sometimes.
google avatar

Hannah S.

Yelp
New Terrain was a DISCOVERY for us last weekend! Why? 1. It has the scenery everyone wants in a brewery! You can easily meet a group of friends here. If you sit outside, there's so much sitting from picnic tables, benches around fire pits and moveable chairs. Every spot has a view of the North Table, which is not a bad view with or without a beer haha. ;D We got to sit around a fire pit on a slightly chill day. It was perfect! 2. There's two bars you can order from which makes getting a beer quick and easy! You won't be away from your party for too long, which is a big deal to me. 3. There's a few food trucks not just one! Again, this is such a small but big thing to note when planning a day with a bunch of friends. There's options for all eaters, which is a relief. 4. There's various style of beers! Again, this is huge and actually why I chose to bring our hangout here. Everyone has a favorite style of beer, whether it's sours, hazy ipas, porters, ales, etc. If you go here, everyone in your party should find a beverage they enjoy! Going back? For sure! Quick tip: get there early. It gets pretty poppin' on the weekend!
google avatar

Marica M.

Yelp
Nice little brewery! Decent indoor seating and a dog friendly patio. They had a band setting up to play the afternoon that we came in. There were also two food trucks there as well. Cool perk was that there's a dog park right behind the brewery!
google avatar

Rolando E.

Yelp
First time in the Golden area of Colorado. I wanted to hit a local microbrewery before we headed out of town that was family friendly. Decided to try New Terrain based on the pictures of the location and beer they had on tap. Was very impressed by the setup and the quality of beer they served. Great food truck options gave you a variety of types of food to go along with your beer. The live music was an added bonus. The staff was friendly and the service was great. It is a very family and pet friendly place. We really enjoyed wrapping up our evening here. We would love to come back next time we are in the Golden/Denver area.

Heather C.

Yelp
New Terrain is one of our favorite breweries. They have a great patio that offers tables in the shade and also sun if that's what you prefer. The beer is great and there's a nice variety. The rotating food trucks are an added bonus to this fantastic brewery, they have a monthly calendar on the website.
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
This place was the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon. We went here following a hike in Golden gate canyon state park. The beers were delicious, and the patio was so fun. The only thing I'd say is I wish they'd had 2 food trucks to make the line go faster.

Julie N.

Yelp
This place is so cool! Mountain bikers coming down right to the Brewery! Live music, open space, great beer and food trucks! The place was packed! We'll be back!
google avatar

Sherrin M.

Yelp
Sunny, beautiful day and ready for a beer? New terrain is where you want to be. Though everyone else probably has the same thought because this place fills up FAST. So much outdoor seat to enjoy a view of the mountains and the sunshine. Dogs allowed in a leash on the patio! Great beer selection and decent prices!
google avatar

Bethany W.

Yelp
Such a fun place. Was in town visiting and was a very clean and modern brewery. My only complaint was I asked one of the bartenders if we could turn on the outside heaters that were on the patio and she stated flat out no. It was cold out but wasn't bad. Wish there was more indoor seating! Good selection of beers.
google avatar

Aundya A.

Yelp
This tasting room was very cute, and the outdoor seating was amazing. Can't wait to come back in the summer. I tried the Walk in the Parfait, and I loved it so much that I bought a 4 pack of cans to go.

Yelp
I cannot believe it's taken me this long to write a review. New Terrain is, hands down, my favorite brewery in the entire state of Colorado (so far) over the last 9 years I've lived here. I've been a monthly regular at this brewery since they opened, opting to make the hour and a half long trek down to obtain their delicious elixir. The beer is absolutely amazing (my personal favorites are the Mirage hopped sour and the Against the Currant black currant sour, while my husband loves their Golden Haze and Pillow Drops) with not an off flavor in sight. The building is stunning - massive taproom with an even larger patio, a cozy fireplace inside, fire pits and a stage outside, plus they host multiple food trucks daily, even on Mondays since they're always busy. The humans though - they make the place. The staff is always so incredibly friendly and know us by name (or by "you guys are back!") every time we show up. My closet now consists of way too many of their plentiful variety of sweatshirts, tank tops, yoga t-shirts and hats, and our cupboards are full of their branded ceramic mugs that we use every morning. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great beer, wonderful ambience, welcoming staff and a brand new wardrobe.
google avatar

Jami W.

Yelp
Came here New Year's Day 2023. They weren't as busy as they were with my last visit (which was summer time and the patio was in overdrive). We jumped in line and grabbed some beers-- I got the spurs tip beer which I learned they do seasonally and it was FANTASTIC! The vibe is welcoming by super helpful & friendly bartenders. On this particular day they had a fire on in the main room which made the space super cozy in a cold winter day. Perfect spot to hang all times of the year to enjoy some good brews. Highly recommend and will be back!
google avatar

Zach P.

Yelp
If I lived closer I'd be at New Terrain every day. They have a huge space- both indoor and outdoor. Outside they have fire pits and heaters so you don't have to worry about getting cold during the winter. They even have a stage with occasional live music. The beer always taste fantastic and they have a huge variety to choose from. Sometimes the lines can get long, but the beertenders are quick and knowledgeable. Different food trucks are there daily as well.
google avatar

Page M.

Yelp
My favorite brewery! They have the best sours (I know not everyone's fav but I'm obsessed) and on tap selections all around. I love how much seating they have outside, so I can always find a spot. Great views of North and South Table, and lots of good food trucks rotating through. This is my first choice to take someone for a little brewery moment.

Melissa D.

Yelp
Fabulous brewery with beautiful scenery and awesome food trucks. I appreciate the kombucha on tap and there were seltzers and ciders so something for everyone! We hiked North Table Mountain and this place is 5 minutes from the hike. What a great find!
google avatar

John J.

Yelp
I'm from the Midwest. What a cool, cool spot. Ride, hike, walk Nirth Table and then stop in for a beer.
google avatar

Abbey L.

Yelp
This place never disappoints! Great vibes with live music and big outdoor patio! There is also rotating food trucks making for a great summer evening! The golden haze is one of my favorite hazy IPAs as well. Come here for the beer but stay for the atmosphere.
google avatar

Spencer F.

Yelp
The only downside is the parking and crowd, especially in the winter when outdoor seating is more limited. However, they do have ample fire pits and warmers at that time. Now for the good: quick service, AMAZING beers, and the atmosphere/scenery is perfect. They have several flight options that I would highly recommend, as MOST of their beers you have to try at least once. They also do lots of events here for outdoor activities - perfect spot for that golden culture.
google avatar

Isaac A.

Yelp
I stopped in a second time and had a much better experience. The place is very dog-friendly and the outdoor seating was great. I tried the raspberry wit beer and got some food from the trucks on-site. Both were great and I'd order it all again.
google avatar

Yelp
Great beer, great service, great environment. My fiance and I were looking for a brewery post hike at the Mount Galbraith Loop Trail and stumbled upon New Territory Brewing Co. We were wary as we drove through an commerical park to the address in our gps, but were pleasantly surprised with a packed parking lot and lively brewery at 3pm in a Thursday. There were several seats still indoors but we decided to sit outside by a fire pit. My partner was thoroughly impressed by the beer that we tried, "best draft beers I've had, right up next to [favorite brewery in BC Canada]". We started off with two of their award-winning beers, Suntrip (Belgian Wit) & Mirage (Dry-Hopped Mosaic Sour), before also trying Rubus Deliciosus (raspberry wit), Against the Current (blackcurrant sour), and Golden Haze (New England IPA). I'm a fan of sour beers and I had plenty of options to choose from! We also advantage of the food truck situated at the edge of the property by ordering jalapeno poppers and buffalo wings. We loved seeing people come by after their bike ride or with their pups; there's a massive dog park just past the parking lot. Overall, New Territory is only a short 25 min drive from downtown with great beer and a fantastic set up. Great place to spend the late afternoon!
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
This spot is hopping! We came here on a Saturday afternoon after a hike and oh my gosh...the lot was completely full and we ended up parking down the street! I do appreciate that they have 2 bars--helps disperse the lines. We went to the outdoor bar at the front to grab beers. I love that they have 4oz tasters, so you can try a variety of beers. I thought that all of the beers I got were interesting and pretty good. Bummer that they ran out of some of their more popular beers on tap. We managed to find seating in the outside area (there's the main patio and spill over space). Wish there were a few more umbrellas, especially since Denver is so sunny! Folks were friendly and willing to let us share tables with them. Seems like there is a mountain bike trail nearby? Lots of people had their mountain bikes with them at the brewery, and they even have a spot for people to lock up their bikes. In the future, I might look for a brewery that is a little less crowded on a Saturday afternoon, but the weather was really nice so maybe everyone else had the same idea as us to get a mid-afternoon brewski.

Minnie B.

Yelp
What a fabulous new 'find'! Great location; vast parking lot and outdoor seating. We did not use the Food Truck that was available, but the beer was scrumptious! Such a neat, huge place that our Westies could enjoy with us. We will return!
