Nice place, I think slightly overpriced for the food items. I would say excellent drinks, good food, good service …but nothing spectacular….chips and salsa were good, smoky flavor to the salsa. The lobster queso fundito was good, But they brought it with Chicharron and I don’t eat that. So the waiter brought chips, nice! We each drank Julian Drew’s Cadillac margarita they were so delicious… We had 1 more! We ate filet mignon. My favorite steak is really a ribeye, but it was priced higher than the fillet. The. The beans that came with the steak were good, The salad was so soaked with dressing, it was wilted. Service was good, but not spectacular. The waitress that brought us our dinner, not the regular waiter, reached over my friend to serve me my plate…. I thought that to be a little rude. Overall good, not A place I would return to considering the price I wish I would have taken pictures before we started eating….

Google
This was an awesome place! One, it was open on Thanksgiving. Two, the turkey dinner was amazing! You got everything on the plate- white and dark meat, mashed potatoes with gravy, dressing, corn, green beans, mac and cheese, and a dessert table. The bar was cool too. It is a very big place. We didn't order the lobster, but it looked amazing.

Went here for our anniversary, little confusing on which part to enter but got it straightened out fine. Service was great, our server had great recommendations, chips and salsa we really good, i would suggest keeping the salsa for the main dish. The steak was done very nicely. Bacon wrapped shrimp were very tasty. The dessert was excellent.

Google
Simply awesome. This place has been on my list for a while. Finally made it. Steak cooked perfectly. Prime Rib was tender and juicy. Shrimp and Scallops were excellent. The Mexican twist really added great spice and well rounded flavor to everything. Nothing overwhelming. The green chile mashed potatoes were good but didn’t really taste the green chiles. Awesome roasted salsa. Shoulda bought a gallon of it. Only did 4 stars for atmosphere because it was a bit loud. Hard to hear server. I will be back.

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) We are frequent visitors to Tucson and love exploring the food scene, so we were excited to try Charro Steak & Del Rey. The ambiance is beautiful, sultry enough for a romantic night out, yet still welcoming for families or groups celebrating together. Definitely insta-worthy. We were warmly welcomed and quickly seated, which was a great start. Chips and salsa arrived quickly, but it took a while before water and drinks made it to the table. Our server explained that one of our cocktails required a trip to their sister restaurant, which contributed to the delay. Salsa offered so many delicious flavors, combined it was a jackpot. We ordered the Chef’s Cut of the night along with the tableside Caesar salad. The salad was a highlight w/ fun presentation, great story, and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, nearly 30 minutes after ordering, we were told the entrée was no longer available. We quickly pivoted to another option, but by the time the steak arrived (about an hour into the meal), it was barely warm and slightly overcooked. The flavor of the Montana grass-fed beef was excellent, but the execution missed the mark for what should have been a standout dish. Dessert saved the evening, the lava cake was excellent. However, timing was again an issue: my original coffee cocktail couldn’t be made, so I switched to a chocolate espresso martini, which arrived after the ice cream with our dessert had already started melting. Overall, Charro Steak & Del Rey offers wonderful ambiance and great flavors, but our evening was overshadowed by timing issues, long delays, and missed expectations for a fine dining experience. I truly believe the food is very good here, just wish the service flow matched the quality of the ingredients.

Google
This was our first visit to Charro Steak, we dined there for my husband's birthday. The Happy Hour specials are worth going early for. We had the oysters all 3 ways. They were fresh and delicious. For our main course we had the prime rib and filet with additional sides of macaroni and cheese as well as the corn. Both were very good, probably the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had. The alcohol menu is varied and the cocktails very unique. Highly recommend.

Google
I scouted the place ~3 PM right after checking into the AC Marriott 30 feet across the street and the smell of the mesquite wood and seeing beef tallow on the menu for frying chips/french fries all but confirmed my later dinner visit. Having already gotten off a carne asada meat high in New York City just a few days ago (see my Los Tacos No. 1 review) I had the most wonderful server who provided focused recommendations on what I should order. She shared some of the history of the family behind the establishment and that they used traditional methods with only the most top quality grass fed and finished beef for the menu. No marinades here! They let the quality of the beef speak for itself. I do tend to think of amazing beef and Texas as a thang, but I am so pleased to announce that Tucson deserves a visit if only for a meal here. I started with a house salad with homemade lime ginger vinaigrette that could be the base of a cocktail it was so refreshing. Although I contemplated going with the bone-in ribeye to keep my cost down a little and because I wanted to compare it with my NYC experience I went with the carne asada served to medium-rare perfection. With an extra little dash of tableside salt and pepper and squishing the still hot fire-roasted lime the meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, delivered to my mouth in the freshly made flour tortilla and charro beans. What an insane steak taco experience. Mac & cheese is never a focus for me. If I’m offered it sure I’ll take it. But I highly recommend you order their Chile Verde Mac & Cheese, which has incredibly creamy and thick cheese sauce, imbibed with green chilies and other peppers on top-it is not spicy, it is just very robust with that pepper-forward cheese magic. The environment is very warm, cozy, modern and traditional all at once. This is the perfect restaurant made only better by attentive service from the only server I will recommend: Ro. Ask for her and then just relax, trust her guidance, and order. Choose to live in the moment with friends and strangers around you with your phone put away, your cares put on hold and enjoy your time at Charro Steak and the sister side Del Rey (which has the same menu). Bon mexi-friggen-appétit!

Google
Charro Steak & Del Rey is a great place for a dinner for an excellent cut of meat. We loved every dish, from the mussels to the stuffed mushrooms, and of course the main meat course. Everything was well-prepared. A wonderful spot for a delicious, comforting meal!

Yelp
I had a great dinner here back in 2021 and I forgot to leave a review. So here we go! -the food was great! The staff was amazing! The bartender kept me happy and the dessert was fantastic! The dining area is super nice and laid back. (It was a great last meal!)

Yelp
I had the 22-day Aged Grass Fed Prime Rib, cooked medium rare, and it was beautifully prepared at perfect temperature and flavor. It came with horseradish au jus and fresh flour tortillas, which was such a fun and unexpected touch from a typical starch pairing. The only downside was that my particular cut had quite a bit of connective tissue, which made it difficult to slice through in some spots which might've just been the luck of the draw, so I'd be willing to give it another shot next time. The meal also came with their family-style frijoles Charro, which were delicious, and the complimentary chips and salsa. I personally would've loved the salsa to have a little more heat, but I get that they keep it mild for most palates. I paired everything with a Si Sangria Rojo, which was fantastic, light, fruity, and perfectly balanced. The interior of the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous - stylish, warm, and inviting. And our server was wonderful: friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. Overall, it was a very nice dining experience, and I'd definitely come back to try another cut of steak and enjoy the great atmosphere again.

Yelp
Met some friends at the downtown first Charro Steak & del Rey for happy hour daily 3-6 . Drink & burger specials .available along with dinner menu . I've tried the carne asada estillo sp style and table side guacamole on first visit .Enjoyed both. That said, I've had the hamburger & fries , 5$ off happy hour before and enjoyed as well . I was craving a burger hadn't had a burger let alone fries for months sadly. The food met all my great expectations and fries were done in a special liquid /oil? I forget what it was called, but tasty too. Only ate half there,it was not wasted. We had the lobster fondue appetizer along with tortillas & chicharrones , a meal in itself. FYI asked and told could substitute a small salad on plate rather than fries, but opted for a big salad to share instead . Margarita special ( 8$?) for friends , ordered a second must have been good . ( beer wine also happy hour specials .) Burgers were done to order with many standard toppings included . I asked for grilled onions an extra but respectfully would not order again although tasty made the burger too slippery , a real big slider but no complaints . The bun was good and I like a bun that can hold a big " gourmet burger together . I can't say enough about of fun , helpful server Reny was great , thank you . The backup staff were also fun and helpful alike. My cravings were filled ! ( I've been wanting to go to the new charro steak in older Casas adobes shopping mall in former Charro Vida concept . I hear it's been busy , to consider maybe go early , make reservations , or call ahead ?) Si Charro Tucson original and more originating over 100 years ago.

Yelp
I was really craving a good steak, so we decided to come here again. Our last visit was just okay, but this time was a wonderful experience. Everything from the salsa and tableside guacamole to the carne asada and halibut was outstanding. Big kudos to our lovely server--she constantly checked in and made sure we were doing great. Also, shoutout to the tableside guacamole girl, she did an amazing job preparing it fresh right in front of us. When we arrived, it was a bit loud due to the live music, but that only lasted about 10 minutes. After that, it quieted down and we could easily enjoy our conversation. Definitely a much better experience than last time. We'll be back

Yelp
We didnt have a reservation, but stop by to see if they could fit us in a party of 4. They sent us down to Del Rey which was fine and happy to get seated. Same food same ambiance and great service. We started with table side guac it was good and always a good way to start. Our daughter has a thing for oysters the waiter picked 4 also good and the horseradish had a kick. My wife had the carne asada she loved it and i had a bite it was very good. My daughter had the salmon con charrochurri she loved hers cooked to perfection. I had the rib eye rare very good. My little one had the burger and fries and he ate every bit. Desert we had the champagne strawberries deep fired different but good. We will definitely be back to celebrate another time down south AZ.

Yelp
Lovely as usual. Food fabulous. Wine choices good. Service terrific. So delicious, very pleased with the afternoon. Took friends here who had never been. They weren't that familiar with downtown... you guys wowed them. Thanks for being part of what makes Tucson great. Perfect setting for a perfect burger!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Tucson! We were celebrating a birthday this time around so we went all out! We ordered the tableside guacamole which is always a hit, and this time was no exception. Then we got El Tower del Rey and boy were we feeling like royalty! Since we were there to celebrate I was able to sneakily ask our server if there was a surprise dessert that could be brought out for the birthday guest. She took care of everything and brought out the delicious and very special Champagne Fried Strawberries, which were the perfect sweet ending to the delicious meal. They were also able to accommodate an avoiding of dairy and eggs when asked to do so, and since there were multiple preferences at the table they made sure to include things like cheeses or creams and butters on the side so that no one had to miss out while those who were abstaining could still delight in the meal fully. So not only was the food top-notch as always, the service was a perfect match! The ambiance is further enhanced by the live music they often have playing by different musicians. On this particular evening there was a guitar player. One of the other things I love about this place is their focus on grass-fed beef and sustainable seafood. I seek restaurants out when they make this a priority as a part of their menus, so it's just another reason that Charro Steak and Del Rey deserves five stars!

Yelp
I had dinner here last night. There were six of us. We were seated in the Del Rey space, but the menu is the same in both spaces. I had two El Chingon oysters, one Wildcat oyster, and a Surf & Turf Enchiladas Banderas. The enchilada plate had three enchiladas, one each with steak, lobster and shrimp filling. They gave my friend a free dessert because it was his birthday. I think everyone was happy with their food as well as the service and ambiance. This is a special-occasion place for most people--dinner for six came to $289.45 including tax and 20% tip, which they add to the bill for groups of six or more. That's almost $50 per person.

Yelp
I have for come here for awhile and continue to enjoy coming here. The food is usually good however the service and food of late has been inconsistent. Management disinterested etc. and non-responsive when there was a problem. Due to the non-responsiveness we have not come as often. However today was a total different story. Food was excellent. The only thing I would add is with the filet, it does crave a sauce. While perfectly cooked, nicely charred with the wood, a sauce would be nice. The service was the best I have seen ever at this establishment. There was no hesitation to take care of the customers and respond when there might be a problem. Beyond taking care of issues, the service was flawless. Today was a good day! Look forward to continued customer service and good food more frequently now!

Yelp
Solid steak and Mexican joint in downtown area. I'm here for a work trip and spoke to a friend who grew up in Tucson and recommended I try one of the Charro restaurants, such as the Cafe and since this was across the street from my hotel and it was late when I arrived Monday night this one was top of my BINGO card. Very smoky inside from the grill and seemingly poor ventilation system but the steaks were terrific. I got the Carne Asada medium rare and a house sangria that was on special for only $5 and the chips and salsa and beans came with the meal. Two tiny corn tortillas arrived on the plate w my steak and that seemed oddly skimpy but the steak more than made up for the limited sides. Excellent tender grass fed steak cooked perfectly and the salsa was fire roasted and delicious. Decent meal. Would return.

Yelp
Charro Steak and Del Rey is having THE most amazing promotion! They're offering $100 gift cards BOGO! That means you can get HALF off dining which blows my mind! There are very few restrictions, like they can't be used for the gratuity or on July 24/25 but I think that's about it. Oh there's a $500 limit per visit too (double check that one for accuracy) but c'mon! Since when is fine dining SO down to earth?! Talk about taking care of your community! The food, the service, the atmosphere WOWzers! Always! If I am looking for a SURE fire, great meal, Charro Steak and Del Rey is MY go-to....... And with this promotion I hope it becomes yours as well......

Yelp
1st off, Avi was our Waiter. EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE from start to finish!! You need to *Clone* this gentleman. APPS were outstanding! Ahi Asada Tostada, Escargot. However, the Ceasar Salad for (2) needs work, sorry. It should be a creamy dressing, not a vinegar/oil along with sliced cheese small pieces as opposed to shredded. Lobster Tamalada was out of this world!! Steak cooked to perfection. We were a table of 4. The other 2 meals are shown in Pics. Desserts were Champagne fried strawberries to cake!! We will ALL be back! Having live guitar music really gave beautiful ambiance. Thanks everyone!!

Tzamiko1 K.

Yelp
Not worth the money! Food is average and ordinary at best. I ordered the T Bone with shrimp topping. All I can say is that it was edible. The experience was not at all satisfying and left me $100 poorer. They do make a good guacamole though.

Yelp
Omg! I don't know why it took us so long to try this place. So good!!! We started off with drinks. I had a peach tea which was so good with fresh peaches. My hubby had a marg which was good. The salsa was fresh and flavorful. The escargot were different but in a good way! Loved the Mexican twist with the carne seca. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly topped with amazingly seasoned grilled shrimp. We also had the fish with Vera Cruz sauce. It was soo incredibly moist. The sides we had were the charro beans and the Mexican inspired au gratin potatoes. Both were soo good. This is now going to be one of our go to date night places. Yum yum yum!!!

Yelp
Amazing! So dang delicious. Service , food wow!! You have to come here!!! ya gotta get the table side guacamole for sure

Yelp
Decided to take some out of town visitors to Charro Steak & Del Rey for and we were really excited to give them a taste of Tucson with a Si Charro Concept. Made a reservation weeks in advance because we had an event down the street scheduled for two hours after our Charro Steak/Del Rey reservation. Getting seated was a terrible experience and the food was just okay. Showed up to Charro Steak to be told we needed to go over to Del Rey (not sure how they decide where you're seated) only to get told 15 minutes after our reservation time that it was going to be a long wait. I talked to (what I can only assume was their management team) about us having an event coming up, and they said the kitchen was full and food would take 35-40 minutes even if they sat us. No apologies from their team, just basically told us it wasn't their fault. Not too long after they did end up seating us, but the whole meal took a while as they outlined. Food was fine, ordered some sides the chicken, filet, and pork chop. We all agreed we'd had better from other local restaurants. After we paid and ordered dessert, they forgot and we had to find their team to remind them about it after 15 minutes. Rushed to eat our dessert and finally left just shy of 10 minutes before our event. Between the less than ideal interactions with their team and the food, we won't be back. Not sure of the purpose of making reservations they can't accommodate. If you're planning to be somewhere after, find another downtown restaurant.

Yelp
We had such a great time at Charro Steak. We were seated promptly, the lighting, atmosphere and overall vibe was on point. Our waiter was very attentive and personable, he also made great recommendations. Wish I remembered his name but he was an older Hispanic very nice gentleman. We ordered the Porterhouse and it was perfection. The sides were equally amazing, we had the Grilled Mushrooms, Roasted Asparagus and of course the Charro Beans. Overall it was a 10/10, we will definitely return next time we are in Tucson!

Gail H.

Yelp
The service was excellent, and our server Jesus was absolutely wonderful. The mussels, cornbread, and dessert were all fantastic, and we truly think they have the best salsa in Tucson. That said, we were disappointed to see that the online menu still showed certain appetizers as half off, yet we were charged full price. Even after showing the online menu, the restaurant didn't honor it. While it was only about a $20 difference, it felt like poor business practice. We chose not to push the issue. Overall, the food and service were very good, but the way the menu pricing was handled left us frustrated. This was our third visit. I would say give the place a try.

Yelp
Sheesh... Where do I start... This place from the entrance to the restroom is Amazing.. Lol.. With that being said.. I took my daughter there for her "25" Bday...From the service to the food was just Top notch...I had the Carne Asada steak... My GF had the Sea bass.. Her bf had the Salmon Con Charrochurri.. Appetizers- Charro Escargot..... Dessert was Salted Caramel Flan..... If you live in Tucson and never tried it's a must or out of town. El Charro Steak & Del Ray won't disappoint..

Yelp
Walking up I was quickly getting excited as I watched people coming out rubbing their bellies, moaning, and saying that was so good! Ok, game on! Open the door! Ha. My first night I sat in the quieter side, as they have 2 sides... they put me near the front window at a 2 seater. My waiter was Domingo and he was my kind of person. Energetic and helpful. I got the pork chop and I wasn't disappointed one bit. Wow! It was so tasty and perfect. After having this I decided to go back the next night and try the other side of the restaurant. On the 2nd night. It is a bit noisier but not much. There was a really good guitar player setting the mood with tons of large tables of people. So yeah, ambience was escalated but it was enjoyable. I had their aged prime rib. Ummm. I want it again. I sat at the bar and had many people waiting on me so I can't just call one person out. They were all great and friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Couldn't be more confused with negative reviews for this place. Talk about a goldmine in the middle of Tuscan. This place is flat out FIRE. We got multiple dishes from the albóndigas, mushrooms, steaks and it was INCREDIBLE. The service was solid. The atmosphere is great as well. They had some live music going and it wasn't aggressively loud like some places usually have it. Stop in if your in the area. Cheers!
google avatar

Yelp
First thing to know, is that is very smoky in this restaurant. If you have any sort of breathing issues, I would probably skip going. As a vegan, there was one main course vegan option, it was done really well and I didn't miss the fact that I didn't have any other option. It was tamales and a really fresh little salad. My friends really enjoyed their meat dishes. It is very loud in here as well, it's not the best ambience but it's a good place to meet up with some friends.

Yelp
How about 10 stars? Why, oh why, is this restaurant's overall rating not a 4+? I regret that after living in Tucson for 14 years, I just now get around to trying this restaurant. And sadly, now I'm moving out of state. This was among The Best meal I have had in Tucson! Everything was perfecto. I had the carne asada (steak). It comes out as a steak cut. So tender. So flavorful. Mouth-watering delicious! My wife had the Mesquite Grilled Pollo Asada. Superb! Flavorful and moist. I then had a Abuela's Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert. Oh my! Perfect balance of flavors. So a friend wanted to go out for dessert to visit before I moved, so we picked here because of the dessert menu. I came early and was hungry, so I ordered the carne asada again. Heaven! In July, the desserts are all only $5 (except the Sample Board) so we ordered the Abuela's Chocolate Lava Cake, Salted Caramel Flan, and Salted Caramel Flan. Yes, over the top fantastic! The flan is SO creamy, I think the best I've had in Tucson. My friend is not a flan fan, but she absolutely loved it! Then one of the managers came to check on us and we conversed about the desserts. He asked if we tried the Champagne Fried Strawberries. We hadn't. He started to describe them. Oh my goodness. Our waitress came by with the bill and we said to add an order ot the strawberries. A few moments later, the manager came by with a half order of the strawberries for us to try! Then we received our full order! Of course we polished them off! The service here is good, they pay attention to you but are not intrusive. Actually the service is great. When I visit Tucson again, I'm coming here, no doubt! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Yelp
We had dinner at the steakhouse before a show. We really like the food and the service. Steak - so darn good. Flavorful and MR just as requested. Ceviche - Nice firm Ahi and the sauce was great. Refreshing. Service - Hayley stayed on top of things. She was helpful, friendly, attentive. I'd have given 5 Stars, but we were seated in the bar right behind the guy playing guitar and his speaker. There were tables that never filled in the dining room the entire time we were eating. So it isn't plausible that they were saving those tables for other reservations.

Yelp
We came here on a Friday night and despite being busy the service was great and the food was delicious. The vibes on Friday night were great. It's a very nice and elegant looking restaurant. The servers and hosts had good energy and we didn't wait long for our food.

Yelp
Incredible dinner at Charro Steak & Del Rey. Outstanding service from Rochelle. She was professional and made our experience very enjoyable. My husband and I started with oysters from Maine and Canada. I love how Charro has up to 4 rotational selections of oysters. Great innovation and experience for guests! Ahi Ceviche was good. I'd recommend cutting the ahi smaller for easier bite sizes. There were slightly too big. My husband was a gentleman to cut them smaller. Best cocktails to have is the El Maestro Cuco and Julian Drew's Silver Cadillac! Refreshing Margaritas! Last but not least, the steaks! I don't think I ever had the most delicious, perfectly cooked prime rib. Every bite was amazing. The bark was beautiful! I usually enjoy my steaks rare but for prime rib it is best as medium-rare and highly recommend! My husband's T-bone was like butter! Melts in your mouth and you are able to taste everything there is. Incredibly cooked! Enjoy our meals with charred, cream corn and roasted asparagus spears. Great pair! Charro serves all tables with beans and the Prime Rib includes green chile mashed potatoes. Overall experience at Charro was 10/10. Love the ambiance and good location in downtown Tucson.

Yelp
We finally made our first visit there on Sunday. Came highly recommended by friends. We started with a dozen oysters on the half shell. Menu said "freshest oysters in Tucson." They were very fresh and delicious! Came with all the accoutrements you would want. The smaller portion salad was enough for two. Perfectly dressed, highly recommend the herbed vinaigrette. My partner ordered the burger, and she said she should have ordered it medium rare instead of medium. Huge burger! I ordered the branzino that was perfectly prepared. We shared roasted Brussel sprouts...and took some home. The manager was very attentive and professional. Our server was mediocre at best. Not bad service...but not good. I'm going to give 5 stars anyway because the food was great!

Yelp
What a surprise. We were looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant in Tucson. When we were seated and looked at the menu we quickly realized that it's a Mexican steak house. No traditional Mexican dishes here. We decided to give it a try because the aromas were amazing. So happy with our decision. We ordered the skirt steak with a side of beans, fresh guacamole and the shrimp cocktail. It came with hand made corn tortillas. The steak was perfection and the shrimp cocktail was the best I ever had. Don't forget the margaritas. Highly recommend and we will be back next time we are in Tucson.

Yelp
Ok, so I am lucky to be part of this effort and that means certain perks. I was present when the chefs from Charro Steak did a full meat cutting the other day looking for new ranches and suppliers for their beef program. Wow! I can't believe the difference that grass fed meat provides a menu like this. The nuances of texture, marbling, and flavor are mind boggling. It is a serious process and one that this team takes to heart. I hope you all get a chance to check out this restaurant and the upcoming second location. No beef about it, these steaks are just different (and better).

Yelp
Update: We couldn't stop thinking about those champagne fried strawberries! Went back the next night and ordered them again (and we never go to the same place twice when traveling) . My bf summed it up perfectly when he said "whoever thought of this is a culinary genius!" The best thing we ate in week in Arizona! -------------------------------------------- Yes! Our best meal in Tucson! Everything we ordered was on point. You must get the carne asada! It is so full of flavor, tender and juicy. We inhaled the perfectly cooked medium rare skirt steak. It also came with frijoles and your choice of tortillas. We also got the scallop agua chile which was refreshing, sweet, and tangy. All the flavors and textures intermingled perfectly. This was a winner too. Don't sleep on the chile verde mac and cheese which was unique, cheesy and comforting. Already full, we wavered on dessert. There were several interesting items, but we settled on the champagne fried strawberries. OMG! Fantastic! Juicy, sweet strawberries in a super light batter and tossed with some cinnamon and sugar with creme anglaise on the side. It sounds rich, but was actually light and the perfect sweet end to the meal. Carlos was our server and he was excellent! Loved the ambiance here too. 5 stars all around!

Yelp
Traveling solo on a recreational trip stopped in here on January 1, 2025. Great way to start my new year. The ambience is very cozy, downtown Tucson is fun. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Decor is relaxed. Nice menu with many choices. Some important points I was taught by the wait staff : The beef is from grass fed cattle. All the seafood is from sustainable producers. I went with a ribeye and absolutely loved it. It was cooked to perfection of my choice, medium rare. I had a very reasonably priced red temporary wine to accompany. Price matched the quality of this excellent food.

Yelp
I came here for dinner with a group Saturday night, and most of the food was disappointing. The filet, halibut, and tamale were all too salty. The ahi tostada was very plain. The trout was delicious, but the accompanying veggies were also too salty. The chile verde mac and cheese was really good. I really enjoyed the Pom Patron cocktail--it was well balanced. It was also really cold in the restaurant as well.

Yelp
Me and my family (2 kids) ate here and we loved it! The food was wonderful, and the service was excellent. Our waitress Rochelle C. Went above and beyond for our kids. We got the prime rib, filet, mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, and dessert... all outstanding. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Make sure to go early if you don't have a reservation as we did not and we're seated right away, but guests that came in later needed one. We had two servers for the dinner and they both were great - never had to ask for refills or anything. My husband opted for the dry aged ribeye and I got a filet. We shared an order of mashed potatoes and then got the sampler dessert. The pumpkin tamal was out of this world. If you're looking for a cute date night place with great food that has a chic steakhouse feel, this is your place.

Yelp
I stopped in on 12/26/24 at 7:30pm just try their unique version of Escargot which is topped with Carne Asada. It was the most unique style I've ever encountered & it was great. Servers Sydney & Kate were very pleasant & enjoyable as I sat at the full service bar with a couple next to me enjoying a hearty steak dinner. They had a pretty good looking menu & a decent selection of traditional artesenal Tequila's & Mezcal's which they offer flights of. The ambiance was nice, lots of mesquite wood stacked up inside for their grill & other antique items. I really liked seeing & hearing the staff interact amongst themselves which gave me the impression they all loved working there. No one ever stopped to look at their phone, they all kept busy at tasks yet no one seemed too busy or hurried. I'll be back to sample more from their menu in the near future. Photo of the escargot might not be that appetizing but it was flavorful & well prepared nonetheless.

Yelp
We stopped in for a late night reservation. I'm so glad we did. My partner had the burger and fries and added on grass fed chorizo. It was delicious all around. I ordered the aqua chili from the appetizer menu and enjoyed it as a meal. I also ordered the Michelada. And it was by far the best Michelada I have ever had in this town and I have had my fair share. Other members of my table got the special. It was an $80 steak, but they shared it and thought it was delicious. Overall for quality of food and ambience and our wait staff was superb. I would come here again and again

Yelp
The best food we've had in Tucson! The service was amazing and the ambiance was perfect. We were especially impressed by the exceptional customer service from Jesus, our bartender. He made us feel so welcome with his warm smile, professionalism, and excellent recommendations. Truly one of the best service experiences we've ever had. We'll definitely be back the next time we visit Tucson!

Yelp
We ate here as part of our anniversary weekend. We were so excited because the beef is grass fed and grilled on mesquite which is our absolute favorite! The restaurant was beautiful and smelled amazing! A mix of rustic, Mexican, and cowboy style all in one. We made reservations and thankful we did cause they got really busy. Highly recommend making the reservation on their site. We order the aguas chiles for an appetizer. It was good but I would probably recommend something else. It wasn't bad, just not amazing. We would pass on it next time. My husband ordered the ribeye and I order the carne asada. They were beyond delicious!! Tender!! The carne asada was so tender!! Order it!! Just do it. Definitely recommend this place. Make sure you prepare to walk. The parking situation is crazy by the restaurant. They have their own parking lot but it will get full. So be prepared to find parking elsewhere.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a number of years and just never got around to it. Located in the heart of downtown Tucson And does not disappoint. The service was impeccable. The waitress made outstanding recommendations as it was our first time visiting. Everything was high-quality and the fish / seafood super fresh. My meat was cooked to perfection - my Carne Asada, adding cheese and peppers made absolutely mouthwatering tacos with corn tortillas! The oysters we ordered as appetizers were fresh and they had multiple varieties to choose from. I'm told the seafood is flown in fresh several times a week so there's no issue with quality. Champagne strawberries were absolutely magical. I'm not sure how to describe them. It was almost a little bit like a light churro covering delicious fresh strawberries with a sweet champagne base dipping sauce. It was absolutely delicious. When it comes to prices, this place is no bargain. With a couple of drinks expect to spend close to $75 a person all said and done. That said it was well worth price and I'd be happy to one day.

Yelp
This is a great date night spot downtown. The vibes are great it's close to everything downtown for a pre dinner drink or a night cap. Without reservations on a Saturday night we waited about 45 mins for a party of 6. Once seated the service was amazing. We ordered the nightly specials which was a bone in rib eye with a stuffed chili and 3 shrimp. It was cooked to perfection . We got mushrooms and escargot as appetizers and they were both phenomenal. Can't wait to come back

Yelp
One of our favorite date night spots!! Ambiance is great! We went on a Sunday night and they had live music! Love the table side guacamole and the carne asada. Ranch water is a perfect beverage if you don't like your drinks sweet like me. Can't wait to try some oysters at our next trip!

Yelp
This place seems to be a favorite around the university of Arizona. Got a table reserved for parents weekend. The service was excellent and the environment was great. Really liked the little candles they have lit at all the tables, although ours did die out about halfway through our dining experience. The food looked very good although I wasn't thrilled with the surf and turf enchiladas. Would probably order something else next time. The rest of the people in my party really enjoyed their meals however.

Yelp
Took the family out while visiting Tucson, tried this spot downtown. Made reservations, table was ready upon arrival. Friendly Staff all the way around, from Hostesses to our Waitress. Upscale vibe with plenty of seating, nice lighting, and decor. Menu covers a lot with meat & seafood options. Our waitress walked us through giving us tips and recommendations. We were also started with chips & salsa. I am not a big fan of the sides not being part of the meal option except for my Prime Rib, which came with mashed potatoes. All the other main dishes did not come with any choice of sides. You had to order individually. Overall, we all enjoyed our choices and the sides we selected. It's a little pricey for our taste based on what we are used to in the DC area, but when in Rome.

Yelp
One of the best steaks I have had. Miranda was our bar tender and she told the most incredible story about where they source their beef (Myers Ranch) and it just added an element to the experience that "made the night"! I am looking forward to my next trip to Tucson so I can go back! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I'm really sorry but this is my worst visit yet. I use to love there food and service! I also loved there service. We had a group of 6. The bills was very expensive (close to 800 for all of us) and it's really annoying I have been waiting for a return call from GM to talk about the service and the fact the forced us to leave tip for 20% even though our group size was only 6 and not the 8 required on mandatory 20% tip. We would habe left over 20% if service was great and food matched service. I was told the GM would reach out to me, I haven't heard nothing. The fact is, I'm a pretty great tipper. However, the service wasn't great nor was the food great. We had issues with both. Firstly, I ordered the Rib Eye. I also ask for a side of butter, I like to add butter to my steak while cutting LIKE steak sauce. I was flabbergasted when I noticed they charged me and another person in my party 8 dollars for butter. $4 each. I really don't like at all to be nickle and dimed when you're charging $55 AND $69 for his steak. No sides just the steak. All sides are so separate. Which im fine with but make sure everything is right! My husband ordered the Prime Rib ,this bothered me and him. They took the order and as someone else's steaks in our group was arriving the waiter said "I have bad news, we are out of Prime Rib). My husband is very picky about read meat. I ask if I could look at a menu to try to help him out. This clearly annoyed our waiter. He said Yes, however, I just had a table come in let me great them and get them set up. He said when I'm finished I will come back. So, about 9 minutes later he was back. So, we all had our meal at this point. He ordered the Bone in Stripe Medium. I explained we are all very particul on our cooks on our meats. I ask that they let the chef know. So, the can make cooks are right. Finally, I told them I'm very very allergic to Shell Fish and please make sure my food isn't cooked around or stored with shell fish. So, let me explain. There was a lot of issues. We we mentioned then waiter all the issues just said sorry. I did talk to hostess and she said she would have store manager call that hasn't happen yet. Firstly, the brought my steak stacked in the same hand with someone elese food at my table with a ton of shell fish on his plate. (I asked him to keep my food away from shell fish. Yes, i can eat at same table but it shouldnt be handled together. It was stacked on his arm my food and the steak and shrip right above mine) It gave me major anxiety. Let's start with the mandatory tip they made us pay of 20%. We had a group of 6 not 8. Also, we had a number of issues with service like drinks not being filled up, or missing items never showing up, no follow up after letting them know meat wasn't cooked properly. The most annoying not following up why they charged us mandatory 20% meant for parties of 8 not 6. Also, no one should require a party to tip a certain amount if they are not happy with service. Let's start with my food. I ordered medium rare. It came out RARE and cold. It's was still mooing. It was purple red and cold. My husband's steak was supposed to be medium. It's was closer to medium rare. My Aunt request Medium Rare and and it was medium well. Finally, my cousins both there steaks were great. We ordered two sides of potatoes only one showed up (they did fix after notice.) My aunt ordered Salad again they forgot but they fixed. Lastly, it was impossible to get refills. I feel like the waiter knew he was get a 20% tip on this tabel and focused else where. I really hope manager calls me back or they will never get our service again. We love this resturant. However, if this stands we won't be back. Now, some of photos below are from previous visits. You will see we have been here alot. Yelp said I have checked in 10 times. This was the worst. Let's see if they actually call me back like promised. I didnt want to take down happy photos. You will also be able to read our higher reviews.

Yelp
Friendly service and delicious steak. The chips and salsa were a nice bonus. Nice ambiance for a Friday night; everyone was super friendly to my service dogs. Recommend the steak and Brussels, pass on the shrimp add-on

Yelp
Excellent restaurant service staff for personable service and food was great. The car was too busy and was not a fan of being forgotten to being attended.
