Award-winning smoked meats, Southern sides, craft beer, and desserts

"This Westside smokehouse serves brisket and pulled pork by the pound, sausage by the link, and pork ribs by the rack. The menu also includes sandwiches and plates with traditional barbecue sides. A second, larger location with lots of outdoor seating is now open in Grant Park." - Eater Staff

"A new counter-service outpost by the barbecue team will take over 1084 Piedmont and focus on portable, casual fare rather than on-site smoking: menu items will center on barbecue sandwiches, Tex‑Mex‑style nachos, and vegetarian options like corn-and-avocado tacos, all designed for easy takeaway to the rooftop terrace or nearby park. Interior seating will accommodate 49 guests, while a shared rooftop terrace—covered by a connecting canopy—adds roughly 50 seats; the design preserves historical features and echoes the local park’s bathhouse with stone accents and matching brick. The concept is pitched as community-minded and tradition-preserving while embracing a future-forward, park-facing location." - Sarra Sedghi

"Open for curbside takeout only. The DAS food truck is also making the rounds to various neighborhoods. Check Instagram for updates." - Eater Staff

"There’s a little window next to the Variety Playhouse entrance that opens one hour before the venue’s doors. Be there when they do if you want a full selection of things like brisket, ribs, and creamed corn from Das BBQ because they tend to run out. Plus, getting there early means you don’t have to eat your pulled pork sandwich in a general admission mosh pit, which we cannot endorse." - Neal Cohen
