Where to Eat Gluten-Free in San Diego - Eater San Diego

"During brunch hours, lines are at the door at all of The Mission’s locations in Mission Beach, North Park and the East Village. All locations have a full and separate gluten-free menu, which includes french toast, hashes, dishes with breakfast potatoes, Mexican breakfast plates, salads, tamales, sandwiches and more." - Jackie Bryant

Mission Cafe has always been a favorite in my family when we’re here for vacation. We got there as soon as they opened on a Friday and there was no wait in the morning. Very peaceful and quiet in the sitting area. We had great service and Nikki made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. We usually come in during the summer time but the fall season was new to us and will probably be back again in the next season!

Amazing brunch place. Food is delicious. We had the chilaquiles and biscuits and gravy but every plate that came out looked delicious. Prices were great too!

Yes, I posted a picture of my empty plate. It was the BEST! In all my travels I have to say this is my favorite lunch spot in the world 🌍! I've literally been coming here for over 15 years (I do not live in San Diego) I could come here daily, try everything on the menu and not get tired of it. Even the coffee is simply out of this world. 2X as good as any coffee shop. Even that toast I took a picture of is Grilled w/Rosemary!! My compliments to the chef. The soy chorizo omelette was Soo good I didn't even put hot sauce on it, which of course is a staple for eggs in my book. Fabulous! I'll be back tomorrow

We are in San Diego on vacation and came here almost every morning for breakfast. As a vegetarian I really appreciate their variety on the menu. I’ve gotten chilaquiles, zen breakfast, veggie omelet. You can’t go wrong with any option on their menu. Their rosemary potatoes and banana bread are delicious. Evan was our server most times we were here and he was very attentive and helpful (and as he says a stud 😂). Portions are large - you can tell they put a lot of care in their food. I feel spoiled by their breakfasts and I’ll miss going here after vacation.

I live locally and have been a regular at this spot for years. Great food, excellent service and comfortable ambience. Super family friendly. Hands down, the *best* servers are Danielle and Evan- ask for them! They’re outstanding, attentive and kind. Our Favorite menu items are the mission croissant and lemon pancakes. I was so excited about my food that I legit started eating it before I remembered to take this photo, so apologies. Bon Appetite!

Cute brunch place, big and didn’t have to wait too long. No egg Benedicts but overall decent menu. They don’t have a kids menu but will make smaller portions for kids if you request, which is very nice.

I took my daughter to the summer camp nearby, the food is really good. The only hard part is the parking. Be careful the steet parking, we were watching police ticketed people park on the wrong side of the street. Love to go back if parking is easier. Good food and very nice services. Coffee is Great!
