I only come for the fish tacos and that says alot. Reason being, I dont like seafood in general due to the fishy scent. Fish tacos here are not fishy and the batter is sooooo good.. I always forget to take the pictures... I like how they had the self serve bar for the toppings..

I recently visited this restaurant and ordered a burrito with two types of meat and a breakfast sandwich to go. When I got to my destination and started eating the burrito, I discovered that only one type of meat was included, despite being charged nearly $6 for the second meat I didn’t receive. I called the restaurant to let them know, but the lady on the phone insisted they put both meats in the burrito, even though I was clearly eating one with only one meat. She wasn’t very polite about the mistake, and when I explained I was miles away, she told me to bring the burrito back, which was unreasonable. To make matters worse, while waiting for my order, I saw another customer order a shrimp and meat burrito for $17.01. He changed his mind to just an al pastor burrito, which costs $11.99, but they still charged him as if he had ordered two types of meat. This made me question their honesty and fairness with pricing. In the end, I paid $34 for a burrito and a torta, which felt very overpriced for what I received. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Be cautious with your orders, as their service and pricing seem inconsistent and questionable. PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS

Flavor of food was good but the quantity was very small from the tacos to the burritos. They don’t give refills on soda, they charge a whole 4 bucks for a drink. Reminds me of tacos they serve outside of the bars. Super Taco around the corner has never been short on their product and they give free refills. They always serve a good portion of of meat.

Pros: Comfortable, outdoor seating a plus, and fast service.Salsa was delicious. Love they have grilled jalapeños and onions.tacos were a solid B+. Cons: You have to prep your own tacos. Smaller tortillas and would be nice if they were a little greasier to add more flavor to the meat. Not the safest area.

Pretty plain and not very much food for the cost. We ordered an asada burrito, two shrimp tacos, a side of rice, a soda and an ice tea. It was $29. The burrito was very small and the asada was mostly fat. Unfortunately I probably won’t be back soon and won’t be recommending it to my friends.

Hands down the best ensenada style fish tacos in the central valley. Extremely kind staff, and beautiful interior, and large patio. I also tried the pastor, which was excellent. I highly recommend!!!

Glad to be working back downtown! My favorite taco joint is still serving up that good ol' street tacos with the same taste as I remember them! Can't go wrong with Al pastor tacos and this place serves up the best in my book. Never mind the sketch location, Los Tacos De Huicho has a great open dining room with plenty of seats. The best place about this place is the condiment bar. There are 3 salsas to choose from, and did I say, still same great taste from 10 years ago?! The pickled red onions and the blistered Serrano chilis are always a must! Coming here next time for the flautas and maybe some sopes! Muy delicioso!

They could improve their customer service by a lot. We asked a question regarding if it's self seating or how do we order with them. The lady maybe the owner not sure but she answered rude. My dad wanted to order tripa extra crispy she rolled her eyes rude and responded rude to my dad that it's already crispy. The sitting area smelled really bad like #2. I still tried my best to give them a chanc3 We went to wash our hands the sink was clogged and smelled. My dad let the cashier know and she yelled at my dad asking if we wanted our money back. My dad just said that he was just letting her know. I told her that we actually do want our money back her attitude was horrible we do not recommend this restaurant.

I have been coming to this spot for years and I hope they stick around. They literally have the BEST FISH TACOS in Bakersfield. If you haven't been here then you need to come. Is it in a sketchy area, um yeah kinda. But all the best taco spots are! My husband LOVED the pastor tacos and he is extremely picky. Keep serving up the great food!

I consider this one of the TOP OG taco spots in Bakersfield. They have been here for 35-40+ years and any they have been serving truly amazing and authentic Mexican food. My family has been coming here since then and the consistency has always been great. Just recently I stopped by for a couple tacos, a sope and some rice and beans. Menu is the same it has always been, great variety with really amazing prices. To top it off, the portions are HUGE here for the price. The star of the show for me has always been their fish tacos. They are battered and cooked to perfection and the flavor is AMAZING. The taco of chile verde was also great, so much flavor. Rice and beans tasted great and very authentic. The sope I also tried was also GREAT. I kid you not, everything I had was a 10 out of 10. Anthentic Mexican food at its finest. Overall, beyond pleased with my meal. Already can't wait to come back and visit them again. Thank you Huichos for being consistently great and feeding my family after all these years. You guys are great! Make sure if your in the area, you check these guys out. You defenitly won't regret coming on by.

Great, very clean Mexican food! Tacos, nachos, burritos but hands down top sopes in SoCal and I'll put money on it! A must try on your SoCal taco tour for sure!!! The service is always friendly and restaurant is always clean!! The only con is the location seems a little sketchy at night so just FYI but it also adds to the legitimacy a little so I guess it works!

The food is great but they need to add napkin dispensers on the tables, not just a stack next to the register that you need to grab yourself. The salsa station is in the wrong place between the door and the ordering counter. They also don't have small plastic containers for the salsa, you have to just pour your salsa on your food after you've picked it up, and go back with your plate if you need more.

The tacos were lacking a little bit of flavor, the portions were a little small for the price. Place was clean indoors. Outdoor had cat poop next to the patio & it smelled bad. We ordered a shrimp taco and got fish but staff were nice enough to replace it. Staff was helpful & professional. I wouldn't recommend the food due to the price

Nice little Friday lunch. One fish taco & one pastor. Plenty to fill up the belly. Both tacos are delicious. Plenty of goodies to add as toppings. Hands down the best fish tacos in Bakersfield. Mmmmm

Amazing fish tacos! 10/10!!! I was worried they would be overhyped but they were outstanding. The fish was well seasoned, the coleslaw provided freshness, and that sauce just rounded it out so well. I can't really go for fish tacos anywhere else. I'd need to search for competition. They have an odd way of giving away take out. They air out a plastic bag and place your plate of tacos inside. The inflated bag stops the plastic from touching and smearing your food. Very smart haha.

I have been to this place a few times in the past so I know their food is exceptional, when our office decided to get some tacos today, I thought of this place first. My issue started when I ordered bunch of tacos mixing between carne asada and al pastor, I asked for some trays so that I could bring their outstanding choice of condiments to individuals liking, the lady flat out said they don't have paper trays, I was flabbergasted with her response, instead she suggested I place condiments in the middle of the plates. I knew this wouldn't work so well, it's just going to be a pile. She then gives me one small paper plate to which I was not impressed with her gesture, at this point she knew I wasn't pleased with her service and I wasn't about to hide my feelings I am not ever going back here especially from this experience, if any of you are planning to throw a group lunch, this place isn't it. Oh and no extra dishes, utensils, or any napkins, cheap or just flat out bad service, you decide.

Highly recommended by a nice girl that works at DeWars! Best shrimp tacos I've ever had! Service was great too! And it's easy to find.

Four fish tacos and a small horchata was my order. Overall Los Tacos De Huicho are a legit five star Mexican joint. I very much enjoyed my fish tacos and they offer a nice, comfortable dinning section. Customer service was on point too. Very friendly people working here.

The fish tacos were delish! The asada was perfectly cooked! Quick service and friendly staff - definitely worth the drive if you are not on that side of town!

Been here a few times but never really got to write a review until now. I got the fish tacos and taco de cabeza. Honestly this place probably has the best fish tacos. It's huge and they definitely don't skimp out on the fish. The cabbage and salsa they use pairs perfect with it. The taco de cabeza was kind of oily but still good. You can dress up your tacos anyway you want with the salsa bar on the side. The inside is very small but they do have a huge patio with seating. With being on union you may run into a few characters on the street but overall a very good spot if you want some sun the tic street style tacos.

This is one of mine and my boyfriend's favorite taco spots in town. This is a quick service restaurant. You stand in line to order and they have a salsa bar with a wide variety of salsas and topping for your tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and nachos. My favorite salsa is the creamy green salsa because it's so spicy and so flavorful. I definitely recommend this place to everyone for a quick bite or a late night bite after some drinks in downtown Bakefsfield. This is a casual and fun spot for friends to gather!

Horrible customer service rewards goes to Los Tacos De Huicho. I definitely won't be returning and will make sure everyone I know, knows about your unprofessional rude customer service. I would rate zero stars if possible but today I ordered food with my family. When receiving my order I noticed the rice and beans was not how it normally is as in the amount. They gave me very very small portions of rice and beans as if it was for a baby. After telling the lady at the cashier, her response was I had to pay for extra. Which is crazy since they didn't give me the right amount in the first place. Keep in mind that I've ordered their plate of rice and beans plenty of time so I know exactly how it should look. They did not want to give me the correct portion that I payed for but they give everyone else the correct amount. I really feel they did not want to help me since I did not know Spanish. Very rude and racism. Even the guy worker agreed with me that it was small portions but the lady at the cashier did not care. I have no idea how they been open this long especially after you got shut down for infestation of cockroaches.

Customer service is not too kind here. Didn't feel welcome. I asked for a mula and they gave me a quesadilla. I asked for a box for my food and they gave me a bag to put it in. I asked for a small cup of water and they charged me $0.50 for the cup. The chicharrones were burnt. Would not return.

The fish OR shrimp tacos are always on point. The employees are very respectful and service is always good. As far as the ambiance, it's always nice and clean inside.

The meat has a lot of pellejo.( all the tough parts? That aren't chewable. Plus no seasoning. Salsas aren't that flavorful. Lacking the Mexican flavors.

So yesterday I was in here mid afternoon. I ordered my tacos and was waiting for my food. An employee came out of the kitchen area to dig into the trash with his bare hands-no gloves. He pulled out a glass coke bottle and one other item. He took the trash back bhind the counter to the kitchen area. Les than a minute later he was bringing bowls of lemons and radishes out to the condiment bar. Such a filthy sight, and he is doing this right in front of the customers eating. I lost my appetite and when my food came I threw away most of a fish taco for the first time. Where is the place where digging in the trash in front of customers is OK?? I do not understand it. Such a low class action. This has been going on a long time, I have mentioned it in yelp reviews before. With sanitary practices like this, no wonder they were shut down by the Health Department a while back.

Best fish tacos in town!! This time we grabbed an order of fries for the kids, holy cow, also delicious! They were nice and crispy and plenty of seasoning salt! They have a great salsa bar, I love their avocado green salsa.

Was in here today at about 3:00. There was a guy from the kitchen coming out with lemons, radishes etc. This same employee was also digging in the trash along west wall inside the restaurant. He was digging bare handed for recycling glass bottles. Took the bottles to the kitchen and a few seconds later bringing more bowls of condiments to be used by customers. Did not seem sanitary to me. I just wanted to get my money back. I did not want to eat here after seeing this. So low class. The owners need to stop this. Is it even legal to do this? If it is. That still does not make it right

Wow, excellent tacos and burritos. We had every different kind of taco possible but the fish tacos I had were the best. Try them! Everything was wonderful. This is really a hole in the wall but the food is special.

I honestly wanted to love it but I really think they are over rated. First of all the set up is so awkward, worst if it's crowded which it usually is. You pick up your food next to the cashier where it's ordered. And the salsa bar is parallel to the line. It just feels so crowded. Last time I went, I was surrounded by people behind me and a lady in front of me taking forever to fix her tacos up. It's not the best situation when your holding a tray a food that gets cold and soggy quickly.

One of my favorite restaurants. When I'm working at the Eastside this is my yogi place on the way home. The quality of meat is good! I always get the asada and fish tacos. So good. It can be a bit busy during lunch but worth it. If you're wanting quality tacos and burritos then this is your spot.

Taco bout a delicious palm sized perfectly seasoned gift. The carne asad tacos were amazing! This place had great food and service. They have the common Mexican food menu that consist tacos, sopes, burritos, quesadillas etc. Lunch time here can get pretty packed, but they have quick service. I really like that the fact that the tacos are served plain. There is a section that has the available toppings for your food. It's self served and you get to add however much salsa, onions, cilantro, and radishes you would like. If you're looking for some tasty food this is a must try.

Mu coworkers recommended this place and I absolutely loved it! I got their flautas de pastor, asada tacos, lengua tacos, tripa tacos, and the cabeza tacos. Their pico de galo was fantastic a bit spicy though but I love it and also the pickles onions and carrots! This is the place I will definitely to go to if I'm craving for tacos! So far this is the best one tacos in town
