Fischersund

Created by Jónsi from Sigur Rós and sisters Fischersund seeks to capture Iceland in a scent and a poem, each bottle a work of art telling stories of wood, oil, sealife and moss. Exceptional service, this is a "souvenir" worth having from Reykjavik.

Visited before leaving back to the US from our Iceland trip. As a perfume collector and lover, I can honestly say this is one of the most special places to come to for fragrance and experiences attached to said fragrances! As soon as we walked in, the lady at the front was so sweet and welcoming and had no problem showing me around helping me choose which scent I leaned more towards. As soon as I smelt No. 54, I fell completely in love with it. My new winter staple and I will be repurchasing every time I run out. They have so many different perfumes that smell so unique but amazing. I am so glad I was able to get a piece of Iceland to bring home with me! Thank you to this amazing company for providing excellent customer service!

Fischersund is truly one of the best fragrance houses I’ve ever experienced. Their perfumes have become my secret ingredient to any outfit. My favorites are No. 23, 54, 8, 101, and a few limited editions that sadly are no longer available one of which remains my top fragrance in the world. I even make sure to plan my layovers in Iceland just so I can pick up a bottle. The history of the building adds to the charm, the handmade bottles are beautiful, and I love the little scar detail on each one. Fun fact: Fischersund was created by a family of Icelandic artists, including musician Jónsi from Sigur Rós. The whole concept is about capturing Iceland in scent from the mossy highlands to smoky driftwood on the shore. Another fun detail is that each bottle is hand-finished, so no two are exactly the same. Fischersund captures Iceland perfectly, not just in scent but in spirit. A true treasure.

Not just a shop but an experience! Unfortunately I couldn’t find a perfume that was for me but I enjoyed the poetry reading and the storytelling behind each fragrance and I have smelled things I haven’t smelled before! I would associate this shop to a Michelin star restaurant where “flavours” (scent in this case) evoke an imaginary in your head you haven’t thought before 😌😌😌

We had the opportunity to experience The Ultimate Fischersund Experience. The afternoon included a scent journey and exhibition, a sampling of Icelandic Schnapps, and a special gift. I was impressed by the complexity and distinctiveness of their scents, which triggered memories of various life stages and events.

I've received a gift from one of my friends who lives in Reykjavik and liked the scent so much. Finally I came to this lovely store. I highly recommend perfume here if you like a scent that you can't smell anywhere!

Iceland is full of many amazing experiences. Sights, sounds, smells, and flavors that can’t be found anywhere else. Somehow, the artists at Fischersund have captured some of this wonder in a bottle. I can journey back without packing my hiking boots and parka. The care taken in each element of their creations is impressive. The more affordable solid perfumes last and last.
