We came early on a Friday and were the first customers. The food came out very quickly and the lady who took our order was very nice. We ordered the Cold Noodle and BBQ Combo and the Spicy Pork Udon Noodles. The Cold Noodles and Thinly Sliced Brisket were great, but what really got my attention was the Spicy Pork Udon. It was an amazingly done stirfry and deserves way more hype. It was savory, not overly sweet, and the texture was perfect. Will def order again.

this is by far my favorite place in the hmart food court. i highly recommend the spicy fried pork udon. its the perfect level of spicy and the pork is delicious. the portion size is perfect but slightly on the pricey end for how much meat you get. will always come here and get the same dish tho! service is friendly and fast. lots of seating the food court but can get easily crowded during busy hours.

I love the food here and its the closest I have found to back home since moving to texas 1 yr ago. My husband ask a request from them on my pork dish to help me in comfort since my dad passed recently and we wont be able to make the funeral back home sadly this weekend. Lets say I ate with a smile and tears. The food was warm and perfect, the taste brought such memoriesn and it was all to a simple request made and created by two hearts - this restaurant and my husband (the mexican husband he calls himself to them i just found out today). The side dishs are plenty and the portion amount was shared by 3. Thankyou for helping my husband make this delivery happen for me. Ontop of that it was all put together for delivery very well! If anything spills its on the driver because they place everything on solid boards to even out weight and avoid crushing any of the foods or tipping to avoid spillage!

If you’re a meat lover you gonna try here. Meat dish is loaded with meat that I can’t finish. Thin sliced beef brisket is mild but not bland. Lightly seasoned and stir fried, this one is a kind of healthy choice at the food court. Beef rib soup is good. The broth is the best. The beef rib is tender and full of beef flavor. I dipped it in soy sauce, and I couldn’t stop eating it. Bibibam was the best I ever had. The only one I think is not that good is raw skate noodle. The noodles were stick together and hard to mix. I also didn’t enjoy the ice in it. After all it’s still a nice place to have some Korean food with limited budget. The price is not low but considering the quality and potion, it worth your every penny.

I found this great Korean place in H-Mart! The food is so yummy and feels just like the real thing. The people working there are really nice, and they give you a big serving of food for a good price. They also make it pretty quickly. It's a great deal – delicious food, lots of it, and it won't cost you too much. I highly recommend trying it!"

Narrow Street 512 is one of my favorite food court stands in Austin. I discovered the shop on Uber Eats and have been going back to them bc the food is delicious! The food stand is located inside the H Mart food court, so they don’t have private seating space but there’s a large open seating areas in the food court where you can easily snag a spot even during dinner hours. There’s always nice AC so you could dine there comfortably even during the summer times. The staff are ok and they always make sure they get the order items right. I was there last night and she even walked to our bar seats to double check we were going to dine in the food court, not take out. Some of my favorite dishes from this place are special noodles and beef rib soups. The only reason I’m leaving one star out is bc the prices are a little bit high considering the cost of living of TX. Would definitely give 5/5 for the food though.

Price on a higher side but good food. The soups I tried were super hearty. I love their cold noodles, too (perfect for this crazy hot weather) but they can be spicy. Grilled meats are a little sweet for my taste.

I had Bulgogi and it was amazing. The flavor and portion were great. Also service was very nice.

Narrow Street 512 is located inside the Market Eatery at H-Mart. The chefs have been in business since the late 90s and also have a restaurant in Dallas, where they started out. Before coming to the States, they ran several restaurants in Korea. This is enough to tell you that you're getting some of the most authentic food out there. I truly believe the cold noodle dishes rival any you can find. The spicy cold noodles & pork are a simple dish that gives total comfort food vibes. I really love the fried beef udon. The beef, noodles, and vegetables are enough for two people to share. I like the ease of ordering and being notified when the food is ready. Efficient, friendly, and most of all good tasting food.

Nothing on the menu really struck out at me but i decided to try cold noodles which was a good choice for the summer. The spicy cold noodles came out pretty good. It kind of tastes familiar to the cold seasoned asian flank & brisket. The only downside of this dish is that it came with only one slice of meat. It also had quite a build up of spicy. You won't feel it till several bites in. So great for the spicy people that aren't trying to cool down. But overall good flavor. You do get a good sized meal for the price

The place is tucked at the end of the food court at HMart. We had Kimchi jjigae and Spicy Cold Noodle. Kimchi Jiggae (kimchi stew) was pretty solid on the flavor, but a little conservative on meats I had maybe 2 or 3 small pieces of pork in it. Flavor was really nice though. Spicy Cold Noodles were pretty tasty too, great noodle texture and spice, but also very small amount of meat. The spice builds up gradually, so it might be a bit much by the end. The banchan was pretty good too, I really like their radishes. The lady at the counter was really nice and answered my questions and gave us to go containers later. It was very busy so it was a bit of a challenge to find a seat at the food court.

First time here with friends. I enjoyed my spicy seafood udon, didn't think it was very spicy, the spicy squid basically had the same flavor as udon but the squid was very tender. Others enjoyed their cold noodle, one with and without soup.

I got pulled in by the photo on their web site of the spicy seafood udon soup but pulled an audible while in line and got the seafood fried udon instead. It was good, but I wish I tried what I came for instead. Really enjoyed the Asian food court experience that Narrow Street 512 was part of. Enjoyed my meal at the counter while people watching. Need to go back and order more cuz the pictures make it all look pretty good!

Great C1! It is spicy seafood udon soup, good portion and comes with tiny side of cucumber salad. Service was good, ambiance is like in any food court.

Narrow Street 512 is located in the back of the food court at HMart. This restaurant serves traditional Korean cuisine in Austin. The owners have experience running restaurants in Korea and I would classify this as authentic Korean cuisine. You place your order at the counter and are given a buzzer to alert when your food is ready to be picked up. The menu board displays a visual of most of the menu options and it is very appealing to see what you will be getting. They offer Korean BBQ dishes, udon, soup and cold noodle. My favorite thing to order is the cold noodle Nengmyeon served in a cold & icy broth that is savory, tangy, slightly sweet, and very refreshing. The broth is made of a mixture of a lightly seasoned beef broth and Dongchimi brine. The noodles are made of buckwheat, arrowroot, and/or potato starch. It has other ingredients like sliced cucumbers, Korean pickled radish, crushed sesame seeds, hard boiled egg, asian pear and a slice of beef. I usually add some imitation crab from HMart to the dish for the perfect amount of protein, but was informed that this is not a Korean thing to do. They place the cold noodle bowl on a tray and serve it with vinegar and mustard. I never add any of these condiments but just enjoy the broth as is. When finished, you can return your dishes and tray to a shelf. It is a good portion size of food and usually take some home to enjoy later. Will keep returning in the future for my favorite cold noodle dish and hope to try some of the other items on their menu.

We just luv Narrow St. We thoroughly enjoy all their offerings. My seafood bowl fed me to a full filling level twice. The broth was better the 2nd day. You can easily split and entrees. But there is no fun in that! Ask for extra spice/heat on the side.

Shopping at H Mart, one of my favorite grocery stores. Dropped in at Narrow Street. I ordered the seafood Udon to take out. I asked for them to make it not spicy and they did a perfect job with that! Flavorful soup, full of seafood and noodles. Made two meals out of it. Delicious! And, the woman that took my order and gave me my food was very friendly ... Yum!

There is never a wrong choice when it comes to getting a meal from Narrow Street. The prices are amazing for the amount of food you get and the side dishes are so flavorful. My favorite thing to get here depends on the season but it's either their naemyung(cold noodles in a vinegar broth with veggies and meat), or the hangover soup. Their sizzling hot plates are good don't get me wrong but their soups are a nice warm(or cold) hug. The hangover soup has huge chunks of meat that fall off of the bone. It's so tender and has such a rich flavor. There are chives, perilla leaf(I think), and kimchi in there that are also super tasty. Would definitely recommend coming here and giving them a try next time you're shopping at HMART

Came for a quick dinner because one of us was really craving hot kimchi soup. We found what we were looking for and more! We opted for the kimchi soup and the vegetarian stir-fried udon. The seasoning for the kimchi stew was a bit on the heavier side, but overall, it was an okay stew--definitely a top option on a cold night! The vegetarian udon came out on a pretty big plate and was hearty too! The flavor was decent, and it was just a nice vegetarian option to have. We also ordered two sides of kimchi for $1 each. It's a pretty affordable price, but unfortunately, the kimchi wasn't what we expected--it wasn't really spicy, nor did it pack the fermented taste we usually expect from kimchi. The sitting area is set up pretty nicely, a good place for groups of friends to try different dishes together!

Hands down the best spicy pork bulgogi in town, but beef rib soup(갈비탕) is really hit or miss. The broth is always decent but the beef is tough and a bit blend sometimes. Also, they don't give you the dipping sauce here for the beef rib soup unless you ask for it, which is very weird. In Korea, the soy sauce+wasabi based dipping sauce always comes with Beef rib soup cause it can really elevate the flavor of the beef.

The Beef Rib soup here is superior to all others except for the homemade ones by family who are top chefs. The staff is nice and do their best to serve the dishes promptly. It's the Hmart food court and it's actually cozy and open with the high ceilings. So glad you can also find Narrow Street items in Hmart too. Food: 4.74 Service: 4.3 Ambiance: 4.3

Soup tasted like water, owner said just keep adding sault, she gave me 5 and I asked for extra 5 small sault pack. I been eating Asian food for over 20 years, never had a soup this bad. (Beef Bone Soup) Never again!

For my first time Korean food experience, their food was great! They are located in H-Mart within the food court alongside many other restaurants , but there was something very inviting about this corner restaurant's ambiance - the food is presented sizzling hot and fresh, and the friendly staff made my order less spicy to my liking. Worth a try if you're here. Rating 4.5

If you go by H Mart then be sure to check out Narrow Street 512 in the food court. It is one of the several vendors located here and specializes in Korean soups. I had ordered the spicy Beef Rib Soup (Galbi Tang). It same with rice and Kimchee. The soup had quite a bit of meat that was meaty, soft, and easy to pull off the bone. When you order they give you a notification fob so they can buzz you when the food is ready. So pretty mysch self service to include bringing back your dishes when you are through. The food court has many tables. Chairs and stools through out. Narrow Street 512 offers good food in a fast food environment.

It was a 2-star experience (Could've Been Better) for me here because I spent 27 bucks for a premium dish expecting a premium experience with some wow-factor and I got none of that. Their high-runner popular Spicy Pork and Octopus dish here, which is raved by many, fell far short of expectations. The flavor and seasoning was lacking and not up to par. Bland. I was excited to try this place. Never been to this H-Mart, stumbled upon them, and then did a search based on highest ratings in the area and this place popped up. A lot of people raved about their spicy pork dish - which is something I am very familiar with, and to be honest, no one in Austin (or NYC for that matter) has come close to the awesome spicy pork that I grew up eating back home in Michigan. But gonna give them a shot. I saw their Spicy Pork + Octopus dish - it was $26+ which is hefty, but I love that combination and the pics looked so good so I decided to give it a go. Food came out in a timely manner. Ok - so this is one of those experiences - and I don't know why - but lately I am finding these occurrences happening a lot with Korean restaurants. No joke. What I am referring to is the dishes look so appetizing and tasty on pictures, and even when they are served to you in person, but when you actually eat them and they fall way short of expectations and the flavor is not up to par. Well unfortunately this is what happened here. I got a lot of fatty pork bits, did not get as much octopus as I should have for $27, but those robust Korean flavors with the slight peppery-seasoned heat was just non-existent here. It basically tasted a bit on the bland side believe it or not. The flavors did not explode in my mouth, they were not robust, there was a severe lack of spice and seasoning. I was a little taken back and then after a few bites - very disappointed. So after a few bites I decided not to finish the dish and just packaged it to go, being very disappointed. I have had similar experiences in Killeen - where there are several Korean places to choose from. I'd say I only found 2 places up there that were pretty good - not great - but pretty good. I don't get some of these reviews raving about their spicy pork. Not sure if it was an off day or different cook but it's a small kitchen and usually the same person cooking. So I don't know what else to say, but after spending that much money for one dish and feeling underwhelmed and disappointed, it certainly doesn't motivate me to come back here and try them again. My search for excellent well seasoned Spicy Pork dish continues.....

Best Korean soup (gomtang)! The shop is located inside the H Mart food court towards the back corner. You walk up to the window, place your order and receive your pager. They do not sell any drinks, so you can walk to the nearby stall to order drinks while you wait for your food. I have not tried the other dishes since this is my favorite dish I order each time I visit. Soup comes very hot with a bowl of rice and some sides. So good especially on a rainy day or after a hangover.

Food is phenomenal and reasonably priced. Food prepared fresh and hot and good sized portions.

Part Three of my H-Mart weekend journey with an updated review... My partner and I also ordered from this eatery too! Osam Bulgogi is an abbreviated name for Ojingeo Samgyeopsal Bulgogi. This dish originates from Gangneung, which is an area on the east coast of Korea and is a municipal city of Gangwon-do province. Bulgogi is typically prepared from beef, although pork or chicken are more common in some parts of Korea. A variety of different cuts are used, depending on the region and price. When beef is used, sirloin and ribeye are two very common choices. Similar to beef, pork bulgogi will often utilize pork belly due to its tenderness. Spicy squid and pork stir-fry or Osam bulgogi is a popular Korean dish. This has a wonderful combination of the surf and turf flavors - spicy and garlicky gochujang sauce with a hint of sweetness that brings everything oh so well together. The best part about this dish is the bulgogi sauce. The dish was accompanied by rice and a small ramekin of kimchi. Both the beef and squid were abundant in this dish. The heat from the sauce, jalapenos, and green onion added a 'crunchy' layer of spice. The kimchi was less than pleasing as it lacked heat, but that was overlooked as this was offered as a standard side.

Entering H-Mart from the dedicated food court entrance, you'll typically notice a seasonal display, with Tous les Jours to your right, and a sushi stall to your left. Venturing further in, tucked away by the bathrooms and hair salon is a little place called Narrow Street 512. This place serves up soups, cold noodles, and meat on blue plastic trays, and it even has its own dedicated food tray return rack. Peruse the menu for a while, and you'll notice they offer "combos"--request to pair a soup or cold noodle dish with a platter of meat, and soon you'll be given a pager for food retrieval after payment once your order is taken, counterserve style. One quaint day, I had a hankering for some chill; I sought out a cold noodle dish and spicy pork combo. I received just that--a bowl of cold noodles and a plate of spicy pork sitting atop a blue tray; the tray also featured a pair of chopsticks and a napkin, but no spoon. More importantly, the platter contained no banchan, not even any kimchi in a plastic sauce cup. Was this place really a Korean restaurant in an H-Mart food court? The refreshing cold noodles satisfied the chill. Except for the lack of a spoon. On the other hand, the spicy pork was nothing particularly interesting. It was mostly salty and lacked heat and other flavor. I would skip their spicy pork next time, and save stomach space for something more worthwhile.

I specifically stop at H Mart for this spot! The spicy pork is unmatched!!!! Hard to rate the service in ambience when this is part of a food court, but I've never had any issue with either.

This is becoming my go-to spot for takeout when I go to HMart for groceries. The quality of the beef rib soup is great and comforting. I didn't give five stars because the price is a bit high to be honest, and I ordered a stir-fried udon here before that I wasn't impressed by.

Whenever I end up eating at the Hmart Food Court, I almost always find myself eating at Narrow Street 512! I usually get the cold naengmyun to fight the Texas heat. And I love that you can customize how much mustard oil or vinegar you want. But their other options are delicious too. Like the stir fried udon! The noodles are still bouncy, it's not too spicy, and they don't skimp on the seafood!

Delicious and authentic Korean food vendor inside Hmart. Our favorites are their udon - soup and stir fried. Our go-to is the stir fried seafood udon which comes with a few big shrimp, mussels, calamari, veggies (cabbage and carrots) and jalapeño. The udon is cooked to perfection and well mixed with their spicy sauce. The stir fried one js perfect for the summer and the soup one is great for the winter. The portion is generous and at reasonable price. They also have other Korean dishes to enjoy with steamed rice and a side of kimchi. Highly recommend this place to experience Korean cuisine!

We ordered the hangover (B1) dish from the recommendation of the cashier and it did not disappoint! It was a spicy hot soup which I believe was with beef or ox tail. The meat was really tender and had nice soften collagen connective tissue. The meal comes with a side of seaweed, kimchi, and white rice. All was really good and we weren't even hungover!

This place is in Hmart. We ordered 3 different dishes and the flavor s were really good. I had the spicy pork and the only recommendation is to fry it a little longer. Everything came out pretty quick which was nice. I would come again for sure.

Go to spot inside H-Mart! Food: Spicy Seafood Udon Stir Fried: One word. DELICIOUS. There's shrimp, muscles, and squid stir fried with cabbage and carrots. The veggies are still crunch yet flavorful. Spicy Seafood Udon Soup: A HUGE bowl. Flavorful broth with plenty of seafood. I have tried their beef stir-fried udon as well. It was flavorful but not my favorite simply because I like the spicy one more. Their soup and grilled meat dishes come in a very small portion so I don't justify the price for the size Service: Straightforward. They give you a buzzer and you can come get your tray when it is ready. Vibe: Hmart vibe. Kpop music. Superb!

The food tastes very fresh and authentic. I've gone here several times with my family and we all truly enjoy our food. The price is very reasonable.

I kind of want to call this place a hidden gem as it is kind of an unassuming place tucked away in the H Mart food court. I like their spicy pork bugolgi so much so that I dont try other dishes. I think the dish has a good level of mixed flavors--great mix of spicy, savory, and sweet. The pork is tender and yummy. The stir fried udon is also good too. They also give you some banchan! That's a plus for me. H Mart also sells some of their dishes as pre-made, and I'll occasionally grab something to-go.

I was really excited to try this dish because I was starving and I have so many good memories of it. I felt disappointed by it. While it was flavorful, it just didn't hit the spot. I expected there to be more seafood. It was spicy and oily. While it satisfied my craving, it was not memorable.

We ordered the spicy seafood udon and the seafood fried udon. The flavors of the noodles are great, but the seafood is not fresh. The shrimp and mussels both have a mushy texture, the octopus is flavorless, the cuttlefish/squid pieces look and taste undercooked and look semi-transparent, which is what they look like when half raw. I finished the udon and didn't eat most of the seafood, which was extremely rare for me at any restaurant since I love seafood. I will not try any more of their dishes with seafood and I would not recommend them. I might go back and try their dishes with beef, pork or chicken, hope they are not of poor quality like the seafood. I'd rather they raise the price or decrease the quantity instead of providing inedible seafood.

This place is located in the Hmart food court. The lady at the register was incredibly sweet. I got the hot stone bibimbap. It's a classic that I love and this one was very good. My only complaint is that since it came out pretty fast, so the crispy rice didn't have time to develop on the bottom. Even so, it was delicious. I really liked the choice of veggies. They were crunchy and cooked well. The rice was seasoned with soy sauce, and the gochugang was a great addition and added a nice amount of spice when mixed together. I LOVED the cucumber kimchi, but damn was it spicy. So yummy, though. The side of the fish cake was good as well. I need to go back and try some other dishes.

This is the place to visit in the food court! The soup was fantastic and authentic in flavor. Noodles were good and staff was friendly. The foodcourt is always a great scene too- gives you some authentic k-pop vibes with some great food options! Its loud, casual and fun- so expect a great, affordable down to earth vibe!

Located inside h-mart and near the hair salon. I tried their spicy seafood udon and it was really good! The udon was soft but not mushy. The spice level was great and not too overpowering. They included a lot of seafood like mussels, shrimps so I enjoyed it. They do close for lunch at certain times so be aware.

My husband and I live in South Austin, so a trip to to H-Mart is always a half day affair and we always stop by the food court for lunch! All the restaurants I've tried are great but we keep coming back to Narrow Street. All the udon options- fried or with broth- are great, and the spicy pork is a go-to. My only complaint is the fried noodles are just puddled with oil-I usually tip the plate at the beginning and eat from the top- but dang it is tasty!! The food always comes out quickly too; by the time we've grabbed a beer and found a table the buzzer is usually going off; then its time to enjoy some great food while watching K-pop music videos!

I do like their Korean food here. Delicious, quick, and large portions. My favorite is spicy pork/squid. It has good amount of meat and veggies in it, and of course the sauce, yes the sauce. It has 3/5 spicyness level I think.

Located inside H-Mart at the far end of the food court, Narrow Street is one of the last places I've needed to try at H-Mart and I am so glad to have gotten around to it! Marinated BBQ Beef - This meat is what you'd get when you go to a KBBQ restaurant except they cook it for you. It was honestly the best tasting KBBQ going off just this singular meat, but of course you don't really get a variety here. This plate comes with a kimchi and fish cake side dish (both good), miso soup (had no tofu cubes and was served WAY too hot - good otherwise), a nice salad with what I believe is a yogurt dressing, and sticky rice that is very sweet so keep that in mind. All of this rounded out to a darn delicious dinner. I was extremely pleased and would certainly get this again. Price was $23.99 so bear that in mind. My friend got the spicy seafood udon soup and seemed pleased with it. I can't really elaborate further since it's not my type of dish. I'll be back to try some other dishes, but for now I had to get a review out saying how much I loved my plate! I got to enjoy a great meal, get some grocery shopping done, and end it all with a quick game of poorly-played Sound Voltex. Love H-Mart.

In the far back wall of the dining hall of HMart, you'll find this hidden gem. Any time I shop at this grocer, I have to make a pit stop at Narrow Street. The food always comes out quickly, and the quality is always consistent. This time. My child ordered the c7 with beef, and I ordered the c4. You're handed a pager, and when it goes off, you go back to the counter to collect the food. I highly recommend this place if you haven't had the opportunity.

Pleasantly surprised by the food! I got the spicy seafood udon and shared it because it was so huge! But it was very delicious. My only nitpick would be that there was more cabbage than noodles. Also there were only two pieces of octopus and squid in the entire dish!! It was still tasty but my hunch was that we arrived close to their closing time so they might have been running out of ingredients and/or trying to use up what they had left. Service was fast and ambiance was what you can expect from a food court.

Tried this place out since I was shopping at Kmart. Ordered B1, 뼈다귀해장국 (Haejangguk; hangover soup). The soup is delicious, filled with slow-cooked pork and vegetables; comes with rice, too. 10/10 will try other dishes here.

I went to Narrow Street because of the good reviews and ordered the Spicy Seafood Updon. It was everything that was said about it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will be going back to try some of their other fare.
