I’m going to give my honest review. I personally didn’t think the food was Amazing, however, I’m going to give them a 10/10 because during the government shut down and ppl SNAP benefits were taken away, they really stepped in and made sure families had food to eat. The night my husband and I was in there, they had just finished a news interview and although I wasn’t anyone who was affected, I really applaud them for stepping in and making sure others had. And I also appreciate the fact that they a re family owned. To me that makes the food taste that much better. And seeing things like that just make me happy and that make me want to go back and support the business. So thank you for helping those families in need :)

The food here is very good… the salad was nice and the pasta Fungi was amazing! But what really made this restaurant stand out was the management and staff! Everyone went above and beyond to welcome my son and I , explaining the menu, asking if we had ever eaten here before and really making us feel like part of the family. The owner ( I’m horrible with names ) showed my 8 year old son all of the Lego displays, showed him some card magic tricks and even gave him some chocolate chip cookies for dessert! Needless to say my son is a fan of Tony & Alba’s now and so am I! Very impressed 👍

Google
Passing by otw to Guitar Center I kept seeing this $6 Pizza slice + drink combo and finally I did it. In fact - I did TWO! Lol. Although she didn't quite understand I wanted the deal x2 but just one drink (slice + fountain $6 slice $6.25, .25 more than two combos) what's a quarter for a good deal! Not sure if something happened as I ended up getting FOUR SLICES I assume they wanted to ensure the slices were up to their standards or it was my lucky day. Super friendly staff. It seemed they had a few regulars dining in and each time I'm here I feel like I walked into my neighborhood pizza shop, like where everyone knows your name. Great spot - pls support if you visit Santa row or Valley Fair. They have more personality and heart than most places I've worked at or dined in at at those large malls.

Google
We reached here almost during their closing time and we could only order their pizzas and only outdoor dining was available. The interiors of this place are cute and they had a lot of Lego decor and games available .The staff here was very friendly and service was quick. This place is more of a family run restaurant and overall we had a good experience here.

Google
This place is fantastic for italian food and pizza. The family is very warm and inviting. The food is excellent and the service is great. If you're looking for good quality Italian food and pizza look no further. You will not be disappointed!!! Jim M.

Google
1st time ordering (on-line), pizza was great! I saw post on ND and appreciate their community commitment! I wanted to use my patronage as means of saying “thank-you”! Pizza was ready by time agreed. I really enjoyed the Lego creations too! Great experience and would highly recommend!!!

Google
Fairly quick from ordering to taking our order home. Not super busy at 4pm. We always enjoy their food. And they are always willing to adjust our order to fit our taste. Such as adding extra meat balls or doing gluten-free pasta. Everyone is very friendly & helpful.

Yelp
We love the food at Tony & Alba's Pizza! Been enjoying their Pizza for over 30 years! Whenever I feel like having a slice of Pizza I come all the way from Gilroy to pick up or enjoy a meal here! Owners are always welcoming and friendly! It is a happy place for all members of our family!

Yelp
My son and I dined in for lunch, had all meat pizza with a drink, I had their lunch their lunch special Alfredo chicken pasta and a green salad with a drink it was delicous and the portion was perfect. The service was super, they were coming to check on us to see of we needed anything, if we were missing something. We were greeted with a warm smile and a welcome. I love the music that they play it fits the atmosphere. They are very welcoming. We will be returning. Thank you Tony & Alba.

Yelp
Service, food and staff were great. But got a little disappointed for the fact that it was a 45min wait time for pizzas in general.

Yelp
Supporting local business with humanity and conscience. Tony and Alba will help feed children who rely on Snap when the funding stops in November. I love this place, but even more so now! On their page "Show us your SNAP card and have your child with you. If a parent wants to eat with them here, we will discount your meal. Child meal: All with carrots, fruit and drink. Pizza (cheese or pepperoni) Penne Pasta (Meat or Marinara sauce)"

Yelp
Saw that they were one of the stores supporting SNAP families by offering free/discounted meals so I decided to support their business. Ordered a large Pizza (around $35) for pickup but did not get a great experience in store. Came in and saw their sign telling us not to line up if it's an online order pickup and to just wait at the designated area (by the door). We waited 10 minutes and were not greeted or acknowledged at all, despite 3 different staff members making eye contact and seeing us stand there. One staff even dropped off 5-6 boxes of pizza to the pickup table where we were standing and didn't bother helping us. There was an older lady going around greeting many different parties at tables but not us. After 10 mins of waiting, we flagged down a gentleman who was dropping off food to a table and asked if he can help with our pickup order. He was friendly but if we didn't call him over, I don't think anyone would have assisted us. Pizza was not bad, but due to experience we will not be coming back.

Yelp
Decent food , average pricing, and great service. The place itself has a cool vibe , board games available, kitschy stuff on display ( Lego version of the Colosseum ) and really nice folks working there. Its not going to transport you to Rome or Venice but its a cool spot to grab some pizza or Calzone.

Yelp
It had been at least 40 years since I'd eaten here, and noticed it was in the plaza I was pulling into that day. Had to try it again. We had the rigatoni and the italian beef sandwich. I felt the rigatoni was pricey for what it was since there wasn't even a salad or soup to go with it, just a $20 serving of pasta that was just OK. The beef sandwich came with a cup of minestrone but I wasn't crazy about either. The sandwich was a good size, but was very plain. Maybe we just didn't order well. I like the ambience, the vibe and the service. It's old school.

Yelp
Can't decide if it's the food or service that's bringing me back! I saw their lunch special while searching for a place to bring my friend for her introduction to my hometown. I was shocked I'd never heard of it before but the lunch special sounded like a great deal! The interior was incredibly spacious. Plenty of room with chairs and booths large enough for entire parties. Seating was comfortable and tables were clean and organized! I got the (slice-salad-drink) and my friend got the (1/2 basic pasta-1/2 salad-drink). You can choose your drink from a fountain they have next to the register. I loved my pepperoni pizza! I really think it's one of the best i've ever had with how savory it was. The caesar salad was delicious with it and complimented my meal. My friend was delighted with how flavorful, warm, and filling her order of creamy pesto was and how it fit her side of Italian salad. The portion sizing was great too, we were both left more than satisfied with the price, quality, and quantity overall. To add, there was a promotion happening with a button. If you can press it perfectly to have the timer stop at exactly "500", you'd get a discount on your order (not sure if it was 50% off or 100% off). The challenge was super fun and gave us that extra push to order the delightfully rich tiramisu ($12) we were eyeing! All the staff were friendly but the cashier and Al really made it worth our wild. They were full of energy and genuinely seemed to love their work. The environment was very hospitable and felt homey. The cashier also gave me a free salad coupon on our next visit when promoting their rewards program! It's truly both components, food and service, that's bringing me back with even more friends! And definitely sign up for their rewards. With all the benefits it includes, it'll definitely be worth it after your first, and most certainly not last, meal!

Yelp
I've been coming to Tony & Alba's for more than 35 years, and I always enjoy it. The pizza is good, the service is friendly, and the prices are fair. I like the way the restaurant is decorated, and the puns on the TV screen are always fun. I ordered a LOT of take & bake pizzas during the worst of the pandemic; I'm glad I can eat inside again!

Yelp
Met some friends here for a dinner out. I haven't been here in over 6 years, and they are still doing quite well, nice crowd that night. Totally same interior and same menu, just pricing to match the times. You order at the counter and food will get brought out to the table. I ordered a couple bottles of Chianti for the large table for 6. Nothing fancy just a decent red good with basic Italian food. I think it was around $28-$30 each so a great price since most at our table aren't wine aficionados. And I liked how they gave out non-stemmed wine glasses, just like if you were at an Italian grandma's house. Linguine with Clams ($23/3*) Good texture on the pasta, nice and al dente and a decent amount of clams. Definitely got a good dose of garlic and lots of parsley. The wine sauce was light and not thickened which I like, but the flavor was just too bland for me as I didn't even get any briny-ness from any clam juice. Our table didn't have any shakers, so I just muscled it through. It is a filling bowl. Italian Beef Sandwich ($19/4.5*) Crazy simple and good. Not really what I was expecting which is like a Chicago style where the sandwich is wet from a dip into some au jus or at least served with a side of au jus. This was just tender sliced beef with melted white cheese (provolone?) in an awesome toasted baguette. Basically a 3 ingredient sandwich. Now I did love the quality and simplicity, but it definitely could have used another ingredient, whether onions, mushrooms or pickled giardiniera. The bread that they use is top notch, I'd probably try another toasty sandwich here next time around. Sandwiched between Santana Row and Valley Fair mall, which makes me squeamish, but they are in their own older strip mall, so they have their own parking lot. Nice re-visit.

Yelp
Tony & Alba's is a unique place where you can enjoy delicious Italian food in a family like environment. A few months ago, they got my order wrong and quickly corrected it after I complained. Since then, they have made it a point to remember who I am and have taken a real interest in my experience. In addition, they contribute to the community by feeding people in need. We love you Tony and Alba! P.S. sign up for their points program and they'll get you really hooked on coming in!

Yelp
Such humane and compassionate people. Saw a new report on how they are providing kids free food and parents a discount who lost their SNAP benefit. I hope nothing but the best for business like theirs.

Yelp
Amazing pizza served by really friendly people! We came here to try something new outside the mall and Tony & Alba's is a promising option. There's baker racks by entrance with games you can enjoy while you wait for food and I think some of their own merchandise. This is great for when you have kids as it kept my daughter busy the entire time! The owner is so friendly and they run "government surveys" which this month was just asking kids if they like chocolate chip cookies. So much community going on here as well in their condiments area they also feature peppers from a member of the community. Ambiance aside we only tried pizzas and a salad here. We got the a la garlic with pineapple which I thought was great with the jalapeños and juicy pineapple pieces. My daughter loves pepperoni pizza and so we got her slices of it.

Yelp
Tony & Alba's Pizza and Pasta isn't just about great food; it's about heart. The owners have created something truly special, serving delicious, comforting meals while also giving back to families during unprecedented times. Their generosity and kindness shine through in everything they do. The pizza is always made with love, and you can taste it in every bite. It's warm, flavorful, and made with genuine care, the kind of food that brings people together. If you haven't tried Tony & Alba's yet, please do! You'll not only enjoy amazing pizza and pasta, but you'll also be supporting a business that continues to take care of the community that supports them.

Yelp
I wish I liked give 10 stars. Tony & Alba's is giving free meals to kids during the government shutdown because SNAP benefits are closing. It even comes with carrots, fruit and a drink. This is an amazing small business! Amazing pizza and pasta, and even better people running it. Thank you for protecting kids in our community.

Yelp
Great service and food. The owners are very generous and do a lot of good for the community.

Yelp
I'm here to dine twice a week, sometimes more often. Food is wonderful, staff is terrific, owners care about their community. They are currently trying to help feed children of families on SNAP program.

Yelp
Everyone is so nice, it's like coming over to your uncles house for lunch. Such good food. So many options

Yelp
Such fantastic food and thoughtful service. Delicious Caesar salad and pizza were great choices for an early dinner. Thanks, Tony and Alba's for taking such good care of us.

Yelp
Finally back in this area for a few days. We were invited to a gathering and we did attend, but I had to stop and get a pizza (for me)! Had the Clam and oh my goodness, as always, sooooo delicious. Peaceful place, wonderful staff! I was full, didn't eat much at the gathering....LOLO! Tony & Alba's, thanks for all that you do! Whenever we get back out to California again, I will be there!!!!

Yelp
$26 for this amount? Really??? Was I incorrectly charged? I know the food is good here but $26 for the size of a small cereal bowl is outrageous. You just lost a long time customer!

Yelp
Best Italian food in San Jose!! Their pasta is off the charts and they have the best customer service. They really make you feel like family there. If you're ever in San Jose you have to make a stop at this San Jose staple.

Yelp
Very friendly staff! The main person waitress was so kind and accommodating. Italian salad - 4/5 Bolognese pasta - 3.5/5 Chicken sandwich - 4/5 I thought the food was not bad but don't think I would recommend what we got. We noticed a lot of take out orders of pizza so we will try their pizzas out next time Ambiance was nice, cozy and homey. Love their background story which is provided at every table

Yelp

Yelp
Super cozy and yummy mom n pop pizza spot! Super popular in SJ but we just got to try it recently and werent disappointed!! Service is extremely friendly - you can tell they're all close to each other too! We had the Diavalo's Pig Pizza and half combo(?) but the Diavalo's Pig was SOOO good that this is now a go to spot for pizza other than the mediocre chains in the area. The pasta was a kinda small serving for the price but pretty good!

Yelp
Tony & Alba's Pizza and Pasta has a family atmosphere about it. I have been there multiple times and enjoy the food a lot. The staff are very friendly and I like that you can play games or read while you are waiting for your order. I also like the old pictures that line the walls and tell the story of the original owners, Tony & Alba. It is a very god restaurant. I give it 5 stars for the food and friendly atmosphere. The staff make you feel welcomed!

Yelp
We were in the mood for pasta for dinner and Tony & Alba's did not disappoint. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the owners Diana and Al. They have a table in front of the counter where they just placed fresh baked focaccia for sale. Al gave us some to sample and it's delicious and hit the spot! We normally order garlic bread, and their garlic is good! I ordered Nonna's special pasta and my brother ordered Fettucine Alfredo, both excellent! see the photo I attached. I will be ordering this again for sure!

Yelp
My wife and I were invited to a luncheon with a group of approximately 15 elderly adults. The group met in a private section. The section was roomy at the front with large windows. Very nicely decorated with pictures of Italy. The owner and another member introduced themselves. The various orders were brought to each guest at the various tables. My wife and I ordered a small size pizza, salad and soup. Everything we ordered was delicious! I noticed one person ordered at least 3 different pastas. She looked like she really enjoyed them. The owner and staff were very friendly and interacted with the customers. It was as though they were part of the group. It is obvious to me customers are appreciated. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable. We will return! Thank you for making this experience memorable Tony & Alba's owner and staff.! Although the restaurant is approximately 40 minutes away, we will definitely return.

Vicky P.

Yelp
We ordered Margareta pizza, Large size for $35, Sunday around 5:30pm. My first time to try this pizza joint. According to their reviews, they're good. Well, our pizza came and I've never seen a margarita pizza so saucy, crust to burnt and mozzarella too toasty! I've eaten to many pizza places to include my 10x trips to Italy and I thought, I could never go wrong at this place bcuz they're Italian?! But then again, obviously their dough makers are probably high school kids trying to earn their allowance for the week. Just didn't want to embarrass the waitress so I just kept quiet. No, I will not go back there again. Once is enough. I go out to eat mainly for good food. Ambiance is the v least on my list.

Yelp
We stopped in because my husband had a craving for a meatball sandwich. He was thrilled with what he got. But, my son was even more impressed. The owner of the shop took us on a small tour. We were taken into a back dining room to see his current Lego buildings. His collection is impressive! If you are a Lego enthusiast who loves Italian food, this is a spot to check out.

Cindy B.

Yelp
There is absolute greatness in everything you experience at Tony and Albas. From the minute you step through the door, your experience could not get better. You feel like you are in an Italian kitchen being greeted by family! And it only gets better once you taste your delicious meal. Al and Deanna and their entire hardworking staff always go above and beyond to make you feel special and appreciated! Don't miss eating here as you will always want to make it your favorite Italian restaurant.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Heard Tony & Alba's were giving out free meals for children under 15 on SNAP. Parents would get meals discounted. This is what community is all about. Can't wait to dine in myself soon!!

Terrence

Yelp
Every diner looks real happy. It's like one big italian family dinning room. Food very fresh and obviously make with love. I particularly like the Diavalos' Pig pizza. Keep up the good work!

Jim G.

Yelp
The folks here are always so friendly and the food is always so good. We have been going there for years and don't plan on stopping

Yelp
Awesome food and great staff. I feel like I am with family when I go there. Tony & Alba's does so much to give back to the community. So I love to support them. Love their lunch specials very reasonably priced &!great food!

Yelp
This place has a great mom and pop shop feel. We were consistently checked in on if we were enjoying the pizza experience, and you could tell they had regular customers. Crust has oregano in the bread which I think differentiates it from other pizzas and the bottom was nice and crispy despite not being a thin crust pizza. Flavors for the gourmet and special pizzas were yummy. I love the pancetta with the crispy edges from baking. Extra thank you because they were donating some of the proceeds to Feed My Starving Children when I went!

Michelle W.

Yelp
This business deserves YOUR business! They have great food... but more importantly, they have amazing hearts and souls. They will provide a free meal to children whose families rely on SNAP during the funding crisis. Bless you and thank you for showing humanity and care.

Yelp
All the good hallmarks of that special local eatery; I'm just disappointed I took so long to make a trip here! Quirky (and with lots of dad jokes floating around), yet wholesome. It's places like Tony & Alba's that make you feel at home; they even have a cute library and games in the center, alongside girl scout cookies and biscotti for sale. It also helps that the kitchen food is also pretty good to boot; both my brother and I agree it's far better than what the nearby Eataly can muster in their restaurant space and for a better price too. Experience is fairly casual, where you first have to order up front but can specify for sit-down or take-out, then find a spot to sit. They'll come out calling your name for the food later on, so keep your ears open for that. Pizza can be done half and half (we got a Large Tony's special and...a beef containing other half). Comes out delicious with a lightly crispy crust and a chewy and pillowy soft center. I legit had to stop myself from eating more despite planning on saving another slice. Very flavorful toppings; first time I can say I've bitten into meatballs on a pizza and taste meaty goodness first (as opposed to salt). Center was a smidge floppy, but nothing the serving utensil didn't solve. The mushroom Pasta special was extra creamy, albeit with the noodles cooked a tad softer than al dente (I'm fond of both ends of the spectrum). Very flavorful with lots of mushrooms and sausage in the mix, so certainly no complaints on the sauce. It also helps this is a heaping of a serving and it's hard to leave hungry after a bowl of this boy.

Yelp
A month ago I purchased the Tony special. It was delicious today. It was horrible. He wasn't there. Tony also the cannolis were dry with no powdered sugar on them. I'm so disappointed all the way from San Diego.

Yelp
Very few pizza places offer clam pizza, so this is where I go if I want a clam and garlic pizza. Everyone is so nice and helpful here. After I had ordered, I remembered that I wanted my pizza to be cut into smaller pieces, and when I asked, she said, "No problem." Then, when she brought it out, she said, "Cut in smaller pieces!" I love great customer service.

Yelp
The atmosphere is casual and my own mother said that being in the restaurant made her feel like she was in Italy! I love the Italian culture and my favorite food is Italian food! The pizza is amazing especially the crust and service is good!!

Yelp
First time here with husband We got the lunch special which was 1) pizza pepperoni (great big size) + cesar Salad great size! 2) pasta pomodoro + italian salad everything was so yummy!! and the service is like no other. Leticia and young gentleman are great! 10/10 recommend.

Yelp
I like Tony & Alba's pizza. The medium-thin herby crust and sauce have good flavors. Toppings are pretty plentiful. The staff is friendly. A few things hold it back from a 5th star for me: - The beef topping (not the Italian sausage) lacks any flavor. Needs some salt. - Sometimes the bottom of the crust is burnt. Really hit or miss. - I'd have liked more cheese on the margherita pizza.

Yelp
I wanted to write a positive review but really cannot as the entire dining experience here ruined my family's Sunday lunch. I don't know if ours is a unique-one-off- bad experience, maybe? I read the reviews before coming here and almost everyone had nice things to say about this restaurant but our experience was far from that. Let me begin with the service: we came at 12:20pm Sunday lunch time and apart from my family of 3, there was just one other customer seated. So we entered the restaurant and the two people at the counter didn't even acknowledge our presence or direct us where we can seat. I had to ask them if we can seat anywhere we want, and they answered "sure." So we sat at the far corner and my husband wrote our orders on his phone so he can just show it to the staff. We were ready to order and there literally was no one at the counter, so we waited for 5 more minutes for someone to show up. The restaurant itself has a homey, cozy ambience, and has games to play with while you wait for your food. Anyway, the food came and we were shocked at how small the servings are for their price. The clam sauce pasta ($20+) was just okay, the caesar salad ($19 + $2) for the anchovies was nothing out of the ordinary, and the pizza and the chicken wings were also not that special. For the prices of these, we were expecting at least one mindblowing dish, but no. Definitely not worth the $100 bill! We were better off going to Maggiano's or Amici's. We just wanted the "Italian" family hospitality mentioned in the reviews, but the two staff that were in that day can't be bothered to attend to their customers. Their $4 brewed coffee even came with a used, empty creamer cup. Also, the young guy behind the counter didn't give my husband a receipt.

Clarence B.

Yelp
We had pasta on take out. Both the linguini with clams and the spaghetti Boullionaise (sp?) were very nice. Best of the several times we have eaten here. It's always nice to be welcomed with a first name greeting. Thank the staff for making T&A's a home away from home.
