Finally checked out an Italian restaurant in Little Italy and couldn’t have picked a better spot! Such a charming, cozy date-night restaurant. We walked in around 8 p.m. on a Friday night without a reservation and were seated right away, though it was clearly busy—definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you’re planning to go earlier on a weekend evening.
We started with a bottle of wine, and they bring out complimentary bread with an olive oil mix (dangerous if you’re like me and can easily fill up on the free bread). We shared the Insalata Cesare, which they thoughtfully split for us without even asking—such a nice touch.
For dinner, we ordered the Gnocchi alla Genovese and the Gamberi e Calamari Fra Diavola, and it was the perfect combo. We originally considered two pasta dishes, but I’m so glad we didn’t—it would’ve been way too filling. The pasta was incredibly fresh and packed with flavor, and as a basil lover, this dish absolutely hit the spot. The seafood was also delicious, fresh, and perfectly cooked, and it came with a side of veggies and roasted potatoes that rounded everything out nicely.
They also have both a side patio and a front patio with seating, which appeared to be heated—such a great option and would have been lovely to sit outside as well.
We loved everything about this experience and will definitely be back soon!
